Block Toxic Galarian Slowking

:Slowking-Galar: Slowking-Galar @ Leftovers :Slowking-Galar:
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Block
- Toxic
- Slack Off
- Flamethrower

The plan is simple. You use Block to trap something. Then you use Toxic. Then you stall until they die a painful death.

This set is useful for trapping and removing threats to Slowking's teammates that might be a problem (that aren't immune to toxic).

Tera Dark is to resist two of Slowking's weaknesses in Ghost and Dark

Its EVs are very mixed, so it can deal with more Mons, but it's much better on the special side

I could have gone Protect, but I gave Slowking Flamethrower so it can hit Steel types that might want to switch in to it (except :Heatran: ._.)

UPDATE: I changed the EV spread a bit, and I ran a few calcs on pokemon with type matchups. Moments like these might require using up your tera, or getting a bit lucky, but this was the best i could do ._.

:Zamazenta: 252+ Atk Zamazenta Crunch vs. 252 HP / 88+ Def Slowking-Galar: 180-212 (45.6 - 53.8%) -- 41.8% chance to 2HKO

:Dragapult: 252 SpA Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Slowking-Galar: 174-206 (44.1 - 52.2%) -- 16% chance to 2HKO

:Greninja: 252 SpA Greninja Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Slowking-Galar: 176-210 (44.6 - 53.2%) -- 28.1% chance to 2HKO

:Great Tusk: 252 Atk Great Tusk Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 88+ Def Slowking-Galar: 324-384 (82.2 - 97.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Life Orb AoA Slowking-Galar

Slowking-Galar @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Tera Type: Water
IVs: 0 Atk
Modest Nature
- Flamethrower
- Surf
- Psychic
- Acid Spray

General idea
The basic idea behind this set is to tank a hit, dish out some damage and switch-out to regain some hp. Then repeat the process. You have to be wary of your weaknesses, but you still have a noticeable amount of resistances to work with.
Flamethrower, Surf (less specific than Ice Beam, but hits even Fire types) and Psychic is here for coverage.
Acid Spray is here to mimic Nasty Plot, but with the added bonus of being better in front of Unaware users, while scouting for Leftovers/Focus Sash. Also, Acid Spray is a good way to support your teammates because it can force additional switches.
  • Tera Type Water is, in my opinion, a good "jack of all trades" choice. It boosts Surf, while having a Groud neutrality. In general, Water is a solid defensive typing.
  • Why All Out Attacker? I think that Slowking-Galar is so slow and prone to be switch-out that is has to focus its attention to dish out damage. Obviously, this is when using an offensive set with this Pokémon.
  • The EVs spread is a generic bulky offensive one, with 4 EVs put into Spe to outspeed slower pokemons that usually don't invest in their Spe.
What makes this set good
This set is viable because of the combination of Life Orb, the possibility to run a Modest nature (since you are slow anyway) while you can switch-out a lot with the support of Regenerator. Also, the attacking set is highly customizable since this Pokémon has a great attacking movepool to work with.

Amazing set, but a few things to keep in mind :->
  1. While nicknaming your Pokemon (which here seems to be Slowbro Galar), the actual name should be in the brackets, like how I edit it with green colour (I guess that's how QC is done, LOL). (Don't tell me you made this set on Slowbro-Galar on PS Team builder ).
  2. Please add a tera type asap.
  3. Describe a bit more about AoA.
Nonetheless, great efforts. I loved the way you incorporated about what makes this set good.

Keep it up :sphearical:

I'd love if you could explain how those defensive evs help with some calcs.
Loved the set BTW :quagchamppogsire:

Trick Room Setter

Room For Tricks (Slowking-Galar) @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Sludge Bomb
- Future Sight
- Chilly Reception

Honestly the set wasn't really well thought of but oh well

Typical Trick Room Setter, Colbur to survive Gambit/Hisui-Samurott Dark Stab.
236 Atk Samurott-Hisui Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Colbur Berry Slowking-Galar: 165-195 (41.8 - 49.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
236 Atk Sharpness Samurott-Hisui Ceaseless Edge vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Colbur Berry Slowking-Galar: 165-195 (41.8 - 49.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Supreme Overlord 5 allies fainted Kingambit Kowtow Cleave vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Colbur Berry Slowking-Galar: 280-331 (71 - 84%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Sludge bomb to threaten fairys, Future Sight to force switches and do damage (for more OHKOs), and Chilly Reception is Self-explanatory.

Great set, I bet everyone has faced this annoyance atleast once.

A quick suggestion, seems like you forgot 0 Spe IVs. Kindly correct it or mention it if intended.

Eerie spell stall

:Sv/slowking galar:
Slowking-Galar @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Kasib Berry
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Eerie Spell
- Toxic
- Slack Off
- Light Screen / T-wave / Flamethrower

This here set is mainly to help stall. It's more defensive set and regen makes it a great asset. It's signature move Eerie spell ( I bet half of yous forgot about it) makes it so the opponent loses 3pp on their last move, while also being 80bp. This can help remove recovery or a troublesome move from a Mon that threatens stall. :Kasib Berry: is for SE ghost attacks, to help Vs pult, and you can para or toxic it if needed.

Ps: can I have Kasib Berry as the item in voting preview :sphearical:

Man 2 stall sets already. That too on a non-stall staple. This is getting really spicy.

Also, I never knew Eerie Spell existed. Great work, as always :tyke:

Reserving tera fire lure!

Slowking-Galar @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 204 Def / 56 SpA
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 1 Spe
- Fire Blast
- Future Sight
- Slack Off
- Chilly Reception

Glowking usually lures in Kingambit. While it can usually pivot out with chilly reception, Fire Blast can actually OHKO the most common gambit sets when Terastallized.

56+ SpA Tera Fire Slowking-Galar Fire Blast vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Kingambit: 342-404 (100 - 118.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Even without Tera, Glow can tank a hit:

252+ Atk Kingambit Kowtow Cleave vs. 248 HP / 204 Def Slowking-Galar: 302-356 (76.8 - 90.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

But with tera, you survive ridiculous blows like this:

252+ Atk Kingambit Kowtow Cleave vs. 248 HP / 204 Def Tera Fire Slowking-Galar: 151-178 (38.4 - 45.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Otherwise this set is standard Glowking stuff but hey, it's good for a reason!

Great set overall! I'd like 2 more things here.

Please explain the 1 Spe Iv, especially if it ain't just to outspeed 0 Spe Ivd Glowking.

Add some +5 Supreme Overlord calcs in here as well.

(even though the post isn't finished with the description, I think that Spe control - in the form of TR - is always important and going for the offensive is a good thing).
