Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
With the Not-So-Signature trilogy over, we got a different slate this time.
Evolution Item Slate
The only extra rule this time is thst for the Regional Evolutions, they have to do with any of the evolution items which is in the list below. Any Pokémon (except special ones like Legendary and Ultra Beast) can be selected, not just those who normally evolve via an item. Obviously, you cannot make new items.
The list would include the stones (Fire, Water, Thunder, Leaf, Sun, Moon, Dawn, Dusk, Shiny, Ice), Deep Sea Scale, Deep Sea Tooth, Dragon Scale, Dubious Disc, Electrizer, King's Rock, Magmarizer, Metal Coat, Oval Stone, Prism Stone, Protector, Razor Claw, Razor Fang, Reaper Cloth, Sachet, Upgrade, Whipped Dream, the Sweets, Chipped Pot, Cracked Pot, Galarica Cuff, Galarica Wreath, Sweet Apple, Tart Apple, Peat Block and Black Augerite.

Orrean Octillery
Type: Water/Steel Evolves with: Metal Coat
Stats: 75/105/95/105/75/25 (480) (+20 Def, -20 Spe) Abilities: Bulletproof, Sniper (HA: Mega Launcher) New Moves: Gyro Ball, Iron Head, Shadow Ball, Weather Ball, Magnet Bomb, Mud Bomb, Aura Sphere, Focus Blast, Steel Beam Removed Moves: Bind, Constrict, Wrap, Wring Out, Charge Beam, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Hidden Power Flavor/Design: Orrean Octillery highly resembles the original design of Octillery seen in the 1997 GS demo (and this Sugimori-style recreation), but its body is colored an olive drab green, its helmet, suckers and armor are gunmetal gray, and it has a red star on the front of its body instead of those three yellow dots. Orrean Octillery was genetically modified by Cipher members in an attempt to weaponize Pokémon before they began their Shadow Pokémon project. While testing their firepower in their desert laboratory, they managed to induce evolution in one, resulting in the near-total destruction of their facility; after rebuilding, they shuttered the Octillery project and moved on to Shadow Pokémon instead. After Cipher’s first defeat, the population was taken into the care of a local sanctuary for abandoned Pokémon, which began releasing them into the wild during Orre’s ongoing rewilding process. Its armor is thick enough to withstand blasts from explosives, and it launches projectiles with enough power to punch through two feet of steel plating. Competitive: As a Water/Steel type with good Eviolite-boosted bulk and access to Scald and Thunder Wave, Orrean Octillery can serve as a good status spreader and defensive pivot, though it has to take care to not get worn down over the course of a match.
Octomic
Type: Water/Steel Stats: 85/115/105/145/85/15 (550) (+10 HP, +10 Atk, +10 Def, +40 SpA, +10 SpD, -10 Spe) Abilities: Grand Cannon, Warhead (HA: Mega Launcher)
Grand Cannon - Mega Launcher clone. 1.5x power to ball/bomb moves used by this Pokémon (i.e. any move blocked by Bulletproof).
Warhead - Poison Touch clone. Special moves used by this Pokémon have a 30% chance to badly poison. New Moves: Zap Cannon, Barrage, Beak Blast, Fire Bomb, Snipe Shot, Searing Shot, Unovan Octillery’s moves Height/Weight: 3.7 m, 784.1 kg (12’02”, 1728.6 lbs) Flavor/Design: Octomic has a helmet and armor similar to its pre-evolution, but its tentacles are coiled tightly into the shape of tank treads and act as such to move it along the ground. The body is much larger, covered in armor, and shaped more like a tank than Octillery’s, with the head being located on top where a tank’s turret would be, and the helmet’s shape closely resembles the steel helmet of a World War II soldier. It has two tentacles coming out from the front of its armor, which it uses to manipulate objects with high levels of dexterity. Its eyes are red, with black pupils shaped like crosshairs. Its mouth is much longer and larger than Octillery’s, with a bulge at the end resembling the bore evacuator commonly seen on tanks and self-propelled guns. The mouth is chitinous and much more solid than the rest of the Pokémon’s soft body (aside from the armor, of course), and research has shown it to actually be a highly modified beak. Its body and the suckers on its tentacles have a similar coloration to those of its pre-evolution, but the armor and helmet are colored in a gray-brown desert camouflage pattern that blends in well with the landscape of the Orre region. The armor and helmet are part of its body, and it can change the camouflage pattern to better blend in with different environments. Octomic is incredibly intelligent and able to perfectly calculate the trajectory of its shots and the movement of its opponents or prey to fire shots with deadly accuracy. The modifications done to its pre-evolution by Cipher have allowed it to split atoms within its mouth, then release the energy as a blast that can turn a city block into an irradiated wasteland. Octomic can launch a projectile over twenty miles and uses its impressive powers of calculation to ensure a hit every time.
Competitive: Octomic is an absolute beast of a special or special-biased mixed wallbreaker. Its decent physical bulk and amazing defensive typing give it many switch-in opportunities. Base 15 Speed and Grand Cannon give it access to an INCREDIBLY powerful Gyro Ball, which it can use to deal massive damage to special walls like the Chanseys and their evolutions. On the special side, Grand Cannon boosts Octazooka if you’re willing to sacrifice some power from Hydro Pump for a bit more accuracy and a potent secondary effect. Alternatively, Snipe Shot can be used for its high crit rate (the one situation where Octomic misses Sniper), or Scald on a Warhead set for two independent 30% chances of status. Grand Cannon also boosts a lot of Octomic’s coverage, giving it access to a 135-power Sludge Bomb or Energy Ball, a 120-power Shadow Ball or Aura Sphere, a 97.5-power Mud Bomb, a 150-power Beak Blast to clock Fighting-type switch-ins and burn U-Turn pivots, a 75-power Rock Blast at minimum, a highly dangerous 150-power Searing Shot, and a staggering 180-power Focus Blast that makes even Blissey quake in its Heavy-Duty Boots. It can also wield a 150-power STAB Weather Ball in the rain, which does only slightly less damage than a full-health Water Spout from a Kyogre. Of course, this is counterable by opposing weather teams (though a lot of setters don’t like switching into a 150-power hit even if it’s resisted and non-STAB), Cloud Nine Escargoo (or any other Escargoo, I suppose; double resists are a hell of a drug), and the rare Air Lock Distorted Porygon2. Status-spreading Warhead sets with Scald, Searing Shot and Thunder Wave can also be run. Octomic is also scary strong in Trick Room, only being outslowed by a few things. So, what beats this monster? Well, first off, Bulletproof users completely ruin its day. Explealth can switch in on pretty much anything Octomic will commonly run except for some of its Water STAB. Kommo-o switches in on everything Octomic can do, period, unless it’s running something bad like Icy Wind or Aurora Beam. The walliest of special walls can also stomach much of what Octomic can throw at them. Notably, Distorted Porygon2’s single weakness can’t be exploited by Octomic (which lacks any Dark moves that it’s reasonable to run), Eviolite Firewall makes special moves practically useless against it, it’s physically bulky enough to eat a Gyro Ball, and it commonly runs Discharge. Gourmaw, especially Assault Vest sets, can swallow special hits with its massive bulk, and Gyro Ball is virtually useless against an opponent with base 5 Speed. Escargoo is also difficult for Octomic to hit hard, resisting both its STABs and much of its coverage and even taking advantage of its Water moves and Searing Shot to switch in, Steam Engine itself to +6, and subsequently hit it with a quadruple-effective Boil and serve up a nice soup afterwards; the mere presence of a non-fainted Escargoo on a team is enough to discourage Octomic from using any Water or Fire moves at all. Offensively, Rillataiko can take advantage of Octomic’s Electric weakness and slightly below-average special bulk to smack it with a Rising Voltage. Ironically, though, the biggest answer to Octomic may be its very own pre-evolution. Bulletproof with a Water/Steel typing shuts down almost every option available to Octomic, while Unovan Octillery is free to hit back with Aura Sphere or Focus Blast. Octomic can use Fire Bomb to hit most of its Bulletproof checks, but it comes at the cost of fainting, so the risk usually outweighs the reward.
Orrean Octillery is my personal ode to Beta Octillery, which was a much better design than what we ended up with. It should have always been a tank, but for some reason they were like “you know what, no, let’s axe this good idea and make it just a boring regular octopus” and that makes me so upset that I have decided to correct this error myself. Octomic is based on America’s Cold War-era experiments with nuclear artillery, especially the M65 atomic cannon (nicknamed “Atomic Annie”) and the M28/29 Davy Crockett. Its height is the same as the M65’s in traveling position, and its weight is a reference to the M65’s weight of 78,410 kg. Its origin in Orre also reflects the design’s basis, as the American Southwest is a common location for testing military hardware, which is also alluded to in the games themselves—the Cipher Lab is highly reminiscent of a military proving ground or testing facility. An “Atomic Annie” cannon also currently resides in Arizona, right at the entrance of the Yuma Proving Ground. “Grand Cannon” is an oblique reference to the Grand Canyon, also located in Arizona.
I’ve also been bouncing the idea around in my head of making a Pokémon that gets hard-countered by its own pre-evolution, so consider this my attempt at that.
Resubs from Not-So-Signature Abilities slate:
Distorted Ralts
Type: Ghost Stats: 28/25/25/45/30/45 (198) (-5 SpD, +5 Spe) Abilities: Dark Aura, Insomnia (HA: Cursed Body) New Moves: Astonish, Hex, Phantom Force, Poltergeist, Night Shade, Ominous Wind, Spite, Curse Removed Moves: Disarming Voice, Draining Kiss, Life Dew, Charm, Heal Pulse, Dazzling Gleam, Magical Leaf, Sunny Day, Lucky Chant, Psybeam, Synchronoise, Flash, Zen Headbutt, Future Sight, Expanding Force Flavor/Design: Distorted Ralts’s body is black instead of white, with the “fabric” trailing off its legs being much longer and floating in the air. Its hair is white and has black markings on it, making it resemble a skull. The horns on its head are sharper and a deeper red color, similar to blood. Distorted Ralts feeds off of the negative emotions of those around it. Since its feeding process removes these negative emotions, it’s highly sought after as a companion for people with severe depression or other mental illnesses. When it’s hungry, it tries to spook people to make them feel more negative emotions, but it’s too cute and non-threatening to scare anyone.
Distorted Kirlia
Type: Ghost Stats: 38/35/35/65/50/55 (278) (swapped SpD and Spe) Abilities: Dark Aura, Insomnia (HA: Cursed Body) New Moves: Dark Pulse, Snarl, Sucker Punch, Throat Chop, Lash Out, Burning Jealousy, Foul Play, Distorted Ralts’s moves Removed Moves: Disarming Voice, Draining Kiss, Life Dew, Charm, Heal Pulse, Dazzling Gleam, Magical Leaf, Sunny Day, Lucky Chant, Psybeam, Synchronoise, Flash, Zen Headbutt, Future Sight, Expanding Force Flavor/Design: Distorted Kirlia appears to be wearing a long robe or cloak rather than a dress, which trails behind it and splits into floating wisp-like tendrils. Its color scheme remains the same as its pre-evolution’s: white hair and legs, black upper body and “clothing”, and bloodred horns. Its horns curve inward, resembling devil’s horns, and its hair has black markings that make it resemble a skull. Its bangs grow down far enough to cover its eyes, similar to Ralts’s. Distorted Kirlia feeds on all emotions, positive or negative. People spending too much time around one will eventually start to lose all personality and even the capability to feel emotions. This also serves as a defense mechanism in the harsh environment of the Distortion World, as predators attempting to pursue Distorted Kirlia will quickly become emotionally drained and lose interest in the chase, or indeed in eating at all.
Gardevour
Type: Ghost/Dark Evolves with: Dusk Stone (Lv. 30+)
Stats: 68/65/65/125/80/115 (518) (from Gardevoir: swapped SpD and Spe) Abilities: Dark Aura, Eldritch (HA: Shadow Shield)
New Moves: Pitch-Black Beam, Soul Drain, Night Daze, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Haze, Perish Song, Distorted Kirlia’s moves Soul Drain - Ghost, special. Oblivion Wing clone. Makes contact. Removed Moves: Disarming Voice, Draining Kiss, Life Dew, Charm, Heal Pulse, Dazzling Gleam, Magical Leaf, Sunny Day, Lucky Chant, Psybeam, Synchronoise, Flash, Zen Headbutt, Future Sight, Expanding Force, Psychic Terrain, Healing Wish, Misty Explosion, Moonblast, Heal Bell Height/Weight: 1.6 m, 49.0 kg (5’03”, 108.0 lbs) Flavor/Design: Gardevour’s body appears to be covered in a long, black, tattered robe with many floating tendrils that trail off from it. It retains its color scheme from its pre-evolutions. The horns on its chest and back are sharp and jagged and glow blood-red, with a more intense glow when it feeds. Its hair is longer and messier than Gardevoir’s, growing to about shoulder length with the bangs covering the eyes. Black patterns on the hair give the appearance of a skull, with red highlights making it look as if the skull has blood trickling from the eye sockets. Its fingers are long and skeletal, tipped with claws. Beneath its bangs, its eyes are nothing but hollow sockets with glowing red lights inside. Gardevour feasts on heat and life energy. Its presence lowers temperatures to the point where frost appears on nearly surfaces, and its appearance is heralded by fog as the water vapor in the air around it condenses. It extracts and consumes the souls of anyone it comes across. It appears to gravitate towards people who have done bad deeds, and especially those who have gone unpunished. Competitive: Gardevour’s base 125 Sp. Atk and access to a powerful Dark Aura-boosted Pitch-Black Beam make it a strong special breaker, and its good Speed tier lets it also serve as a revenge killer. Despite being frail, it only has a single weakness and three immunities, giving it more opportunities to come in than you’d think. It can also run Eldritch to potentially punish opposing priority users, or Shadow Shield to improve its longevity by letting it sponge a single hit at full HP, which lets it beat some faster Pokémon it would lose to otherwise and switch into attacks from plenty of Pokémon that it can then threaten to KO. Soul Drain massively improves Gardevour’s longevity, especially on Life Orb sets. Its powerful STABs are supplemented by strong coverage moves—Focus Blast alone gives it perfect neutral coverage in three moves, letting you run pretty much anything in the fourth slot. Thunderbolt or Ice Beam for extra super-effective coverage, Psyshock to smack special walls, Hypnosis, Thunder Wave or Will-o-Wisp for status, Calm Mind to set up, Trick to pass a Scarf or Specs to an unsuspecting enemy, anything goes. However, Gardevour’s frailty, especially on the physical side, should not be understated. It will fold easily to most physical attacks and is swiftly dispatched by just about anything faster than it unless it carries Shadow Shield. Also, Shadow Shield sets practically require Heavy-Duty Boots given the sheer amount of viable hazard setters in the meta, so you’re forced to either accept frailty or be pigeonholed into a setup-sweeper set that lacks immediate breaking power. Lastly, Pokémon that resist Gardevour’s STABs can easily come in on Choice sets and will usually require a well-predicted Trick to beat.
Gallend
Type: Ghost/Fighting Evolves with: Reaper Cloth (male only, Lv. 30+)
Stats: 80/125/115/65/65/68 (518) (from Gallade: swapped HP and Spe, swapped Def and SpD) Abilities: Dark Aura, Perish Body (HA: Entropic) New Moves: Sacred Sword, Soul Reap, Shadow Punch, Shadow Claw, Distorted Kirlia’s moves Soul Reap - Ghost, physical. Eerie Spell clone. Inflicts Heal Block on the target. Makes contact. Removed Moves: Disarming Voice, Draining Kiss, Life Dew, Charm, Heal Pulse, Dazzling Gleam, Magical Leaf, Sunny Day, Lucky Chant, Psybeam, Synchronoise, Flash, Zen Headbutt, Future Sight, Expanding Force Height/Weight: 2.0 m, 49.0 kg (6’07”, 108.0 lbs) Flavor/Design: Gallend’s entire body is shrouded by a black cloak similar in appearance to Gardevour’s. Its body is almost entirely black, with a white, skull-like face, complete with hollow eye sockets. The fin on its head is a silvery white color, and the horns on its chest and back are replaced with rounded jewel-like protrusions that glow blood-red. The blades on its arms are much larger, similar in shape to Mega Gallade’s but longer and with a scythe-like curve; they are colored silver. This Pokémon was long feared as a murderous, bloodthirsty herald of death. They primarily appear near those on their deathbeds, using their blades to slash their victims’ souls from bodies. However, recent breakthroughs on the study of death have shown that Gallend is anything but murderous, and its targets are not victims at all—it harvests the souls of those on the edge of death so it can take them safely to the afterlife, and those whose souls it takes feel no pain from the experience. It’s thought that Gallend gets sustenance from the gratitude and contentment of departed souls. Apparently, it primarily appears to the righteous and pure of heart. If threatened, it can also use its ability to reap souls in a defensive manner, cleaving opponents’ souls from their bodies and leaving them empty husks. Competitive: Gallend’s almost-perfect neutral STAB and base 125 Attack make it a fantastic wallbreaker with precious few switch-ins. The only Pokémon that can safely switch into both of its STABs are weak to Knock Off, especially when boosted by Dark Aura, so that’s really the only coverage you need, freeing up the fourth slot for Swords Dance. Soul Reap lets Gallend beat a lot of physical walls that would otherwise be able to spam recovery moves—most notably Quagsire and the occasional Pyukumuku, which ignore Swords Dance boosts—and Sacred Sword lets it ignore defensive boosts from Bulk Up, Curse, and the increasingly popular Iron Defense + Body Press combo. If Dark Aura isn’t your thing, Perish Body is a fun way to switch into contact moves and immediately scare out a lot of things that would otherwise be loath to switch. Gallend is notably frail on the special side and sits in an awkward Speed tier that lets it be easily revenge-killed even by other wallbreakers that aren’t particularly fast, so even though it severely restricts switch-in opportunities, it can have trouble getting more than one or two kills against non-stall teams.
This line draws heavy inspiration from the legend of the Grim Reaper and other psychopomps, a class of mythological deities whose purpose is to guide the newly deceased to the afterlife. Gardevour is more heavily based around the final judgment of sinners, with slight elements of Ammit, the Egyptian deity responsible for devouring the hearts of the unworthy; it also draws significant inspiration from the Harry Potter universe’s Dementors. Gallend is more based on the traditional image of the Grim Reaper as a cloaked, skeletal figure carrying a scythe; as opposed to Gardevour punishing sinners, Gallend appears to the righteous and leads them to their eternal reward.
Kalosian Shieldon
Type: Ice/Steel Stats: 30/42/88/42/118/30 (350) (swapped Def and SpD) Abilities: Mirror Armor (HA: Magic Bounce) New Moves: Hail, Blizzard, Mirror Shot, Reflect, Light Screen, Mirror Coat, Magic Coat, Barrier, Flash, Steel Beam Removed Moves: Ancient Power, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Rock Tomb, Smack Down, Sunny Day, Fissure, Guard Split, Rock Blast, Scary Face, Rock Smash, Incinerate Flavor/Design: Kalosian Shieldon’s body is a dark grayish-blue, and the shield on its face is a bright ice-blue. The bump on its back is replaced with a small blue crystal. Its face is polished enough to see one’s reflection in it. The glassy texture of its face might make it seem fragile, but it’s as tough as steel and as hard as diamond. It lives in Kalos’s Reflection Cave and hides in plain sight by backing up against a wall, closing its eyes, and pretending to be a mirror. Legends say it came from a mirror world on the other side of Reflection Cave’s mirrors, where Shieldon never went extinct and developed into its current form.
Kalosian Bastiodon
Type: Ice/Steel Stats: 50/47/138/62/168/30 (495) (swapped Atk and SpA, swapped Def and SpD, -10 HP, +10 SpA) Abilities: Mirror Armor (HA: Magic Bounce) New Moves: Ice Fang, Icicle Crash, Aurora Veil, Kalosian Shieldon’s moves Removed Moves: Ancient Power, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Rock Tomb, Smack Down, Sunny Day, Fissure, Guard Split, Rock Blast, Scary Face, Rock Smash, Incinerate, Outrage Flavor/Design: Kalosian Bastiodon retains the grayish-blue and ice-blue color scheme of its pre-evolution. The rock-like outcroppings on Sinnohan Bastiodon’s legs are replaced by crystalline, ice-like outcroppings, and the spikes on Sinnohan Bastiodon’s back are replaced by crystals as well. Kalosian Bastiodon’s face lacks the “window” markings of its Sinnohan counterpart, instead being a solid ice-blue reflective surface. The spikes at the top of Sinnohan Bastiodon’s face are replaced with crystals that have a similar appearance to shattered glass. Kalosian Bastiodon’s face is harder than diamond and can withstand massive amounts of force, reflecting any kind of attack back at the attacker. When it’s asleep, it’s often mistaken as a large mirror because of its perfectly polished and reflective face. Competitive: Kalosian Bastiodon has the privilege of being the bulkiest Magic Bouncer in the entire game by far. Despite its two double weaknesses to very common attacking types, its Steel typing offers it a bevy of resistances and its Eviolite-boosted bulk allows it to shrug off just about anything that isn’t one of those double weaknesses. It’s a fantastic lead for its ability to set up Stealth Rock and/or screens while simultaneously preventing the opponent from setting up hazards. It can also serve as an excellent mixed wall or defensive pivot, being able to force out a large number of Pokémon simply by merit of being too bulky to break. However, Kalosian Bastiodon lacks recovery and has absolutely no offensive presence outside of Counter, Mirror Coat and Metal Burst.
Glastiodon
Type: Ice/Steel Evolves with: Prism Scale
Stats: 80/57/158/82/188/20 (585) (+30 HP, +10 Atk, +20 Def, +20 SpA, +20 SpD, -10 Spe) Abilities: Mirror Armor (HA: Ice Scales) New Moves: Light Beam, Light Blast, Ice Hammer, Freeze-Dry, Frost Breath, Calm Mind, Kalosian Bastiodon’s moves Light Beam - Steel, special. Scald clone. 30% chance to lower target’s Accuracy.
Light Blast - Steel, special. Pyro Ball clone. 10% chance to lower target’s Accuracy. Height/Weight: 2.4 m, 175.0 kg (7’10”, 385.8 lbs) Flavor/Design: Glastiodon’s entire body is hidden behind the massive mirror-like wall attached to its face, which surrounds the entire Pokémon. Its heavily armored legs are somewhat visible from below the wall. Behind the wall, its body shape is similar to Kalosian Bastiodon’s, but bulkier, more heavily armored, and with a longer tail. It can freely bend the light that hits its mirrored face. It can use this to appear invisible despite its size. It can also use this offensively or defensively, creating solid reflective walls out of light or concentrating the light into a beam to strike opponents. Its face is so sturdy that not even a direct hit from a nuclear bomb can break it. Because of this, it has no predators whatsoever and is very docile, feeding on rocks and minerals from the walls and floor of Reflection Cave. Competitive: Glastiodon’s 80/158 physical bulk makes it a strong physical wall, but that’s not the big impressive thing about it. No, that would be its base 188 Sp. Def and access to Ice Scales, making it the bulkiest special wall in existence, more so than Eviolite Chansey by a decent margin. The only special attacks that can possibly hope to dent it are Fire-type and Fighting-type attacks from extraordinarily powerful wallbreakers, but even a Fire Blast from a fully invested Mega Charizard Y doesn’t have a 100% chance to OHKO if Glastiodon has full Sp. Def investment (and yes, that does take sun into account). Water Spout from a full-HP Specs Kyogre isn’t even a 2HKO. Effectively, if you’re using a special move against this thing that isn’t quadruple-effective, you might as well be tickling it. If, for whatever reason, your opponent does decide to try breaking the Amazing Unbreakable Special Wall, Metal Burst will return their damage back to them with an extra 50% bonus thrown in for free because Glastiodon’s just generous like that. Works for physical attacks too, though Glastiodon has to be a little more careful about those, since some of them can actually KO it. If you’d rather be invincible on both sides of the spectrum, you can run Iron Defense; at that point, Glastiodon becomes hard enough to break that running Rest on it is actually a viable option. Unfortunately (or fortunately for the rest of the meta), Glastiodon missed out on the Body Press train back when it pulled into the station in Sword and Shield, so no IronPress shenanigans with this guy. It can also run Calm Mind if you prefer it being a mid-to-late-game bulky wincon, with Light Beam or Light Blast providing strong STAB and Freeze-Dry providing both good STAB and excellent coverage. However, aside from Calm Mind sets and Metal Burst it lacks offensive power, and even those won’t deter opposing special walls. The Chanseys and their evolutions can take anything Glastiodon can throw at them and repeatedly Seismic Toss, which severely chips it down and can even make Rest sets nervous. Heatran can threaten Glastiodon with Magma Storm and beat it 1v1 unless Glastiodon runs Earth Power. Bakufugu, which runs Levitate and is thus immune to Earth Power, outright beats Glastiodon no matter what it runs—it double-resists both its STABs and fires back with a 120-power Heat Crash.
This one changed a lot during the design process. Originally, I had the Abilities as Mirror Armor, Prism Armor and Ice Face, but the line only has two Abilities and I didn’t want to make two submissions with multiple forms so I decided to axe Ice Face. Then I remembered that not all the Abilities had to be signature, so I threw in Magic Bounce because that was a better fit flavor-wise. Then I realized that Glastiodon just got completely outclassed by its pre-evolution, so I gave it Ice Scales instead to bless it with massive bulk that makes it stand out more. I also wanted to design a defensive Ice-type that actually works as a defensive Pokémon despite its typing.
Other resubs:
Hoennian Bonsly
Type: Rock/Ground Stats: 50/80/95/10/45/10 (290) (unchanged) Abilities: Rock Head, Sand Force (HA: Mimicry)
New Moves: Earthquake, Magnitude, Sand-Attack, Shore Up, Sweet Scent Removed Moves: Low Kick, Rollout, Stomping Tantrum Flavor/Design: Hoennian Bonsly lacks the legs of its counterpart, instead being partially buried in the ground like the members of the Diglett line. Its “leaves” also have a yellow coloration resembling that of Sinnoh’s Honey Trees. It disguises itself as a tree and emits a sweet scent to hide from predators. When its scent attracts herbivores and pollinators, it burrows into the ground to escape.
Hoennian Sudowoodo
Type: Rock/Ground Stats: 80/100/105/30/65/30 (410) (+10 HP, -10 Def) Abilities: Rock Head, Sand Force (HA: Mimicry) New Moves: Branch Poke, Ingrain, Spikes, Camouflage, Hoennian Bonsly’s moves Removed Moves: Rollout, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Focus Punch, Power-Up Punch, Dynamic Punch, Hammer Arm, Mega Kick, Low Kick, Stomping Tantrum Flavor/Design: Its lower body is buried into the ground like its pre-evolution’s. Instead of a distinct pair of arms, Hoennian Sudowoodo has several branch-like structures on its body, ending in green, leaf-like crystals. It can still burrow underground when threatened, but its body is not as streamlined as Bonsly’s, so it prefers fighting to fleeing. It sheds the leaflike crystals in autumn and scatters them on the ground around itself, so that any predators who approach it risk stepping on one and injuring themselves.
Fauxliage
Type: Rock/Grass Evolves with: Leaf Stone
Stats: 120/120/135/40/70/50 (535) (+40 HP, +20 Atk, +30 Def, +10 SpA, +5 SpD, +20 Spe) Abilities: Rock Head, Harvest (HA: Mimicry) New Moves: Leech Seed, Synthesis, Solar Blade, Solar Beam, Leaf Storm, Growth, Hoennian Sudowoodo’s moves Height/Weight: 6.9 m, 420 kg (22’08”, 925.9 lbs)
(nice) Flavor/Design: Fauxliage’s body has undergone a physical change, turning from stone into an extremely tough and dense wood. Its lower body is a complex network of roots that extends down into the ground, absorbing water from the soil. Many branch-like structures extend from its upper body, covered with the leaflike crystals of its previous form, which can now absorb solar energy in a method remarkably similar to photosynthesis. When it stands still and closes its eyes and mouth, it’s nearly impossible to visually tell it apart from a tree, and even its biology resembles a tree’s. Legends of “moving trees” defending forests in Hoenn are actually stories of this Pokémon, which will viciously attack anyone who harms it or any real trees close to it. Its disguise as a tree is so thorough that some scientists have moved to have it biologically classified as a tree. Competitive: With massive physical bulk and the powerful one-two punch of Head Smash and Wood Hammer without recoil, Fauxliage is an excellent physical tank. Its defensive typing leaves (pun intended) a lot to be desired, but it can make up for that with reliable recovery in the form of Synthesis. Due to its bulk and access to Stealth Rock and Spikes, it can also function very well as a hazard setter. Harvest sets fit onto sun teams well, especially with Solar Blade as an option, since Fauxliage threatens the Water, Rock and Ground types that tend to threaten Fire-type sun setters and abusers, although it’s neutral to all of those and therefore may struggle to switch in.
I first encountered the name “Fauxliage” as a nickname for a Sudowoodo I received via Wonder Trade once upon a time, and I immediately said, out loud, “I need to make that its own thing.” I don’t know why I said it out loud, considering nobody else was in the room, but here I am eight years later making it its own thing. The sheer genius of the name and how well it flows with the rest of the evolutionary line means that I’m probably not the first person to come up with a Sudowoodo evolution called Fauxliage, but I somehow haven’t seen one yet, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. Anyway, I thought it would be really funny to have Sudowoodo’s disguise get so good that it fools reality itself and becomes an actual tree. The evolutionary line is also partially based on the concept of petrified wood, although in this case it goes the other way round as stone turns into wood. Fauxliage also takes some inspiration from myths of talking/moving trees, as well of Tolkien’s Ents and Huorns.
I was debating between submitting Fauxliage and a bamboo-based evolution called Bamboozle. Ultimately, I decided to go with the pun that was less stupid, especially since “bamboozle” is just an actual word (though that didn’t exactly stop me from submitting Behemoth).
Also, I know that the lyric is from The Trees and not Broon’s Bane, but Broon’s Bane is an instrumental (with, obviously, no lyrics) that leads into The Trees so I figured it’s close enough.
Ultra Chinchou
Type: Electric/Normal Stats: 53/37/37/83/53/67 (330) (swapped HP and SpA, -3 HP, -1 Atk, -1 Def, +8 SpA, -3 SpD) Abilities: Volt Absorb, Illuminate (HA: Motor Drive) New Moves: Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Morning Sun, Mirror Shot, Flash Cannon, Electrify, Light Screen, Mirror Coat, Magic Coat, Psybeam, Psywave, Will-o-Wisp Removed Moves: Water Gun, Bubble Beam, Aqua Ring, Hydro Pump, Blizzard, Brine, Dive, Hail, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Rain Dance, Scald, Surf, Waterfall, Whirlpool, Mist, Soak, Water Pulse, Bubble, Hidden Power Flavor/Design: Ultra Chinchou’s body is a muted light gray, and its bottom fins have become feet which it uses to traverse along land. The bulbs at the end of its antennae vaguely resemble will-o’-the-wisps and float in the air rather than drooping downwards. One of its antennae carries a positive charge, while the other carries a negative one. When threatened, it equalizes the charge between the two to create a bolt of lightning, which it then hurls at its opponent. In populated areas of Ultra Space, tales of ghost stories, mysterious glowing orbs, and will-o’-the-wisps can all be attributed to this Pokémon, which flashes the lights on its antennae to communicate with others of its kind. They are intelligent enough to understand very basic language and learn Morse code, allowing trained Ultra Chinchou to communicate with humans as well.
Ultra Lanturn
Type: Electric/Normal Evolves with: Electirizer
Stats: 61/59/59/127/71/83 (460) (swapped HP and SpA, -15 HP, +1 Atk, +1 Def, +2 SpA, -5 SpD, +7 Spe) Abilities: Solar Power, Illuminate (HA: Motor Drive) New Moves: Ember, Flame Burst, Heat Wave, Ultra Chinchou’s moves Removed Moves: Water Gun, Bubble Beam, Aqua Ring, Hydro Pump, Blizzard, Brine, Dive, Hail, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Rain Dance, Scald, Surf, Waterfall, Whirlpool, Mist, Soak, Water Pulse, Bubble, Aqua Tail, Hidden Power Flavor/Design: Ultra Lanturn retains the gray color of its pre-evolution, as well as the wisp-like appearances of the bulbs on its head. It retains the bottom fins of its pre-evolution, being able to walk on land. It has black patches on its back resembling solar panels, which it uses to photosynthesize due to a lack of prey in Ultra Space. If it needs to, it can also use its own light to photosynthesize, though there is energy loss from this process because the energy from the photosynthesis powers its light, so it can’t do so forever. They can use their lights to communicate from hundreds of miles away. Due to their intelligence and ability to learn complex language, they’re often used by humans in Ultra Space for long-distance communication, as radio interference is common, preventing most modern methods of quick communication across long distances.
Yportne
Type: Electric/Fire Evolves with: Sun Stone
Stats: 67/89/59/149/109/97 (570) (+6 HP, +30 Atk, +22 SpA, +38 SpD, +14 Spe) Abilities: Solar Power, Free Energy (HA: Galvanize)
Free Energy - Fairy Aura clone. All Pokémon on the field have a 1.33x boost to Electric moves. (Not reversed by Aura Break—not that it matters since Zygarde’s Ground-type anyway.) New Moves: Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Fire Bomb, Overheat, Self-Destruct, Explosion, EM Pulse, Ball Lightning, Thunderstorm, Crackling Flame, Ion Cannon, Gamma-Ray Burst, Ultra Lanturn’s moves Gamma-Ray Burst - Electric, special. Flare Blitz clone. User takes ⅓ of damage dealt as recoil. 10% chance to poison target. Height/Weight: 2.8 m, 130.0 kg (9’02”, 286.6 lbs) Flavor/Design: Yportne only vaguely resembles its pre-evolution. Its main body is roughly spherical and suffused with light, levitating above the ground; its skin is bright white and luminescent. The only parts of its body that can be seen clearly are its two glowing yellow eyes. It has one antenna, resembling the Wardenclyffe Tower, sticking up from its main body mass, that constantly crackles with arcs of electricity. This antenna emits a brilliant white light from the top of it; it’s not known exactly what is producing this light because it’s impossible to look at without going blind, but it’s presumed to be some sort of bulb similar to its pre-evolutions. Yportne has evolved a method of photosynthesizing efficiently enough to produce a net gain of energy from its own light, allowing it to effectively produce an infinite amount of energy. It can only barely control its energy output, making it extremely dangerous to be around due to the amount of heat, electric current, and even radiation surrounding it at all times. The light it produces can become so bright that it can shine through a wall of solid lead as though it were glass, so closing your eyes or even turning your head the other way won’t prevent you from blindness in the presence of Yportne if it chooses to exercise its full power. It has to constantly focus to bring its energy levels down to the point where it doesn’t instantly boil anything near it. If it loses its focus, its energy creates a positive feedback loop with itself, causing its energy output to increase exponentially; left unchecked in this state, it will eventually produce enough energy in one place to collapse into an extremely charged black hole whose event horizon will then disappear, causing the laws of physics to start breaking down in whatever dimension it occupies. For this reason, Yportne is almost nonexistent in the wild; the few that evolve seek out human help and voluntarily have themselves placed into generators that use their perpetually generated energy to power entire planets’ worth of populations at once. Competitive: Yportne is an insanely powerful special wallbreaker, with base 149 Sp. Atk and Free Energy boosting its Electric moves even further. Its typing is terrifying offensively, hitting a huge amount of things super-effectively. Gamma-Ray Burst in particular is a very scary attack; on a Specs set with Free Energy, it can 2HKO Blissey in Electric Terrain, though at the cost of Yportne’s own life. Solar Power sets can also be used on sun teams alongside Yportne’s powerful Fire STAB and Solar Beam, which allows it to blast through Ground-types that otherwise check it. Yportne sits in an awkward Speed tier that falls just shy of pretty much every revenge killer and has miserable physical bulk, so it can be revenge-killed very easily, unless it’s running Choice Scarf as a revenge killer of its own; however, this forces it to sacrifice breaking power from Specs or Life Orb. Despite its access to Morning Sun, Yportne can rarely justify running it over something else, so its longevity is usually very limited, especially Life Orb Solar Power sets, which take the full brunt of Stealth Rock and Gamma-Ray Burst recoil as well. Heavy-Duty Boots can be run on it, but will limit Yportne’s power by a frankly unacceptable amount. Faster Electric-types with good physical STAB can actually beat Yportne at its own game thanks to Free Energy boosting their attacks as well, potentially allowing them to KO it even through its resistance; most notably, Zeraora can safely come in on any of Yportne’s Electric attacks, and Tapu Koko sets up Electric Terrain, boosting its Wild Charge even further. Non-Solar Beam sets, or Solar Beam sets outside of the sun, are walled by Water/Ground types due to lacking any viable options against them, even Hidden Power.
I dunno, I just saw “Electric/Fire” and wanted to make a perpetual motion machine. The Chinchou and Lanturn forms are just kind of stepping stones to Yportne (which, if you haven’t figured it out by now, is “entropy” backwards—it can both literally and figuratively reverse entropy). I originally gave Drought to Yportne but I figured that would be way too strong.
Orrean Golett
Type: Normal/Steel Stats: 59/50/74/35/50/35 (303) (swapped Atk and Def) Abilities: Iron Fist, Heavy Metal (HA: Martial Artist)
Martial Artist - Steelworker clone. 1.5x boost to Fighting attacks used by this Pokémon. New Moves: Headbutt, Head Smash, Tackle, Take Down, Double-Edge, Body Slam, Circle Throw, Storm Throw, Submission, Force Palm, Vital Throw, Iron Head, Sky Uppercut, Cross Chop, Steel Beam
Removed Moves: Astonish, Shadow Punch, Night Shade, Shadow Ball, Phantom Force, Dig, Earth Power, Ally Switch, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Psychic, Poltergeist, Scorching Sands, Double Team, Flash, Gravity, Magic Coat, Shock Wave, Signal Beam, Telekinesis Flavor/Design: Orrean Golett is gunmetal gray with red plating on its arms and legs, and its eyes glow red instead of yellow. The general shape of its body is the same as its Unovan counterpart’s, but made of smooth metal instead of roughly-shaped clay. The spiral on its chest is replaced with a glass panel, showing an internal view of the rotating gears inside its body. After the second fall of Cipher, a few splinter groups still persisted in Orre. While most of these were stomped out quickly by police, one still remained: the Sons of Cipher, led by former Cipher admin Ardos. They worked in secret to develop technology to weaponize Pokémon, while also fomenting general discord in Orre and causing distrust in its new fledgling government. One of the Pokémon they chose to weaponize was Golett. They replaced the clay in its body with reinforced steel and used its mysterious power source to operate clockwork systems and metal gears inside its body, making it sturdier and more efficient than before. It has an encyclopedic knowledge of close-quarters combat techniques downloaded into its newly-electronic brain.
Orrean Golurk
Type: Normal/Steel Stats: 89/90/124/55/75/50 (483) (swapped Atk and Def, +10 Atk, -5 SpD, -5 Spe) Abilities: Iron Fist, Heavy Metal (HA: Martial Artist)
New Moves: Bulk Up, Bullet Punch, Meteor Mash, Jump Kick, High Jump Kick, Outrage, Orrean Golett’s moves Removed Moves: Astonish, Shadow Punch, Night Shade, Shadow Ball, Phantom Force, Dig, Earth Power, Ally Switch, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Psychic, Poltergeist, Scorching Sands, Double Team, Flash, Gravity, Magic Coat, Shock Wave, Signal Beam, Telekinesis, Charge Beam, Fly, Solar Beam, Thunderbolt, Trick Flavor/Design: Orrean Golurk maintains the gunmetal-gray color and red eyes of its pre-evolution, as well as the red plating on its limbs and the glass plate on its chest allowing a view of its clockwork insides. Its body shape, like its pre-evolution’s, is smoother than its counterpart’s, and the spirals on its arms are replaced with glowing red diamond shapes. The evolution of Orrean Golett was a huge success for the Sons of Cipher. Orrean Golurk’s capabilities in battle and the ability to mass-produce it allowed the Sons of Cipher to create and secretly operate a private military company once the protests it stirred up against the Orrean government sparked all-out civil war. It supplied its modified Golett and Golurk, among other weaponized Pokémon, to both sides during the war, as well as to other private military companies and defense contractors, incurring massive profits.
Golmech
Type: Normal/Steel Evolves with: Upgrade
Stats: 130/110/165/55/80/30 (570) (+41 HP, +20 Atk, +41 Def, +5 SpD, -20 Spe) Abilities: Iron Fist, Nanomachines (HA: Martial Artist)
Nanomachines - Motor Drive clone. +1 Defense when hit by a Fighting move; Fighting immunity. New Moves: Counter, Autotomize, Forging Pounds, Orrean Golurk’s moves Height/Weight: 3.2 m, 420.0 kg (10’06”, 925.9 lbs) Flavor/Design: Golmech is even sturdier and more well-built than its pre-evolution. It maintains the same color scheme, armor plating, glowing red eyes, and diamond patterns on its arms, but the glass panel on its chest is gone, replaced with another glowing red diamond; the thick steel armor covering its upper body resembles an extremely muscular human torso. The bands on its arms and legs are now a dark gray and ringed with spikes. What were once the thin parts of Golurk’s arms and legs have now become longer and as thick as the rest of its limbs, causing its arms and legs to appear muscular as well. It can fire its fists at its opponents like rockets. Golmech’s body is inhabited by a swarm of nanomachines, which harden in response to physical trauma, acting as shock absorbers. The practical result of this is that Golmech is nearly undefeatable in hand-to-hand combat. Golmech is also extremely intelligent thanks to the advanced processors inside its electronic brain. Only a few of these Pokémon were evolved by the Sons of Cipher, to be used as personal bodyguards for the organization’s leaders. However, they underestimated Golmech’s advanced machine-learning capabilities, and eventually they all became intelligent enough to question their orders. Using their ability to communicate electronically with each other, they coordinated a mass takeover of the Sons of Cipher via the simultaneous assassination of all its leaders, then disbanded the organization, causing the civil war in Orre to grind to a halt. It’s unknown what happened to them after that, but there are rumors that a rogue Golmech is attempting to restart the war for an unknown reason. Competitive: Golmech is the epitome of a physical tank. Massive physical bulk and decent special bulk allow it to come in on just about anything, and access to recovery in Drain Punch lets it do so basically as many times as it wants. Its high Attack and access to good coverage in Earthquake, the elemental punches, and pretty much any Fighting-type move you can name let it do a good job of cleaning up foes, especially if you’re running Bulk Up (or, on Trick Room teams, Curse). Normal/Steel with Nanomachines is a fantastic defensive typing—it’s basically Steel but with an extra Ghost immunity and its most common weakness removed, leaving Golmech as one of a single-digit number of Pokémon that can switch into the combo of Ghost and Fighting. To Golmech, Marshadow might as well be a marshmallow. But Marshadow isn’t in this meta, so back to the discussion at hand. Golmech’s sky-high Defense isn’t just good for bulk, it can also be used offensively, with a very strong Body Press that can be given pseudo-STAB with Martial Artist or (more likely) boosted with Nanomachines. Golmech can also use Curse and Gyro Ball for Trick Room teams. One of Golmech’s main weaknesses is that it checks off a lot of the same boxes for a team that Melmetal does without having Melmetal’s wallbreaking power, which gives it stiff competition as a Steel-type physical tank. It’s also incredibly slow, which forces it to eat hits it doesn’t like eating. Its only viable method of recovery is Drain Punch, which it doesn’t always have room to run thanks to Body Press being significantly stronger, so it can be whittled down over time. Its special bulk is far less than its physical bulk, so strong super-effective hits from Pokémon like Metatrog, Crowceror and Blacephalon also scare it; Blacephalon can also comfortably come in on Golmech’s STABs and Fighting coverage, which can be a pretty big problem for those sets that carry only those and a setup move. Lastly, though somewhat of a niche pick, Mega Ampharos can clock Golmech with a Focus Blast even with Nanomachines, leaving Golmech with little options besides making a risky Earthquake prediction on switch-in or just praying for a miss.
pssst Samtendo you forgot to include the Sun and Moon Stones in the list of evolutionary items

Scraggy here have lost many of their defining quirks, as the landscape has given them nothing to fight nor antagonize. US Dex: "They wander the Ultra Ruins, collecting lost supplies and treasures alike. Their molted skin is not only necessary for self-preservation, but also functions as a means of storing their collection." UM Dex: "As survivors of an Ultra Beast's rampage, these Scraggy have become incredibly skittish. They have grown nimble in order to avoid the Ultra Beast's wrath."
Pokémon: Scravaliant (Scraggy/Scrafty & Scrappy + Valiant) New Typing:
New Abilities: Shed Skin / Multiscale / Justified [HA] Evolution Method: Level up Scraggy-Ultra while knowing a Fairy-type move and holding a Dragon Scale New Stats: 65 / 100 / 90 / 45 / 75 / 113 [488 BST] New Moves: Scraggy-Ultra + Vanquish, Draco Meteor, Dragon Breath, Dragon Rush, Scale Shot, Moonblast, Play Rough, Reversal, Final Gambit Custom Move: Vanquish - Fairy-type Crunch Clone (No biting flag) - The user strikes their opponent with mystical prowess. It may also lower the target's Defense stat. Removed Moves: Scraggy-Ultra + Throat Chop Flavor/Design: With no choice but to wander the Ultra Ruins for eternity, an Ultra Scraggy stumbled across a Dragon Scale. With the spirit of a dragon running through their blood, hence normal scraggy's dragon moves and egg group, they are blessed with a great power. However, if a normal scraggy were happen across a Dragon Scale, naught would happen, for they are dark type, and unworthy of such a blessing. With this power, Scravaliant is born, the hero of the Ultra Ruins, destined to vanquish Guzzlord for their world, and return the land to peace. Scravaliant trade their bulk instead for greater overall offensive prowess against the beast who brought ruin to their world. But fear not, for Scravaliant is now clad with Dragon Scales, as per one of the Dragon Scale's blessing. Of course, don't take this armor for granted, for they once they are damaged Scravaliant is rather vulnerable. Can Scravaliant bring salvation to it's ruined home, or will it fall alongside the remains of it's crumbling world? US Dex: "A legend of old proclaimed that during the world's darkest hour a hero arise. With their dragon's spirit they contain power to liberate the land from a great evil." UM Dex: "A Dragon Scale can react to a Scraggy's draconic heritage, blessing them with great power. It appears that only specific Scraggy, who have abandoned their unruly attitude, are deemed worthy of this blessing."
Btw Meteor Crash is listed twice on the moves spreadsheet. The second one should be renamed to Limit Break

I haven’t even seen this thing’s stat spread yet and I’m already suggesting you tone it down. 670 BST with an offensive typing and Ability that good is almost impossible to make balanced.
See, here’s the problem. You have Freezesquatch at 540 BST. Replacement evos are required to match their counterparts, so you have to bump it up to match Slaking’s 670. I suggest bumping up its defenses, since Ice is an awful defensive typing and Normal doesn’t add much to it, so it will be good but not overwhelming as a defensive Pokémon, especially with a weakness to Stealth Rock and Steel Spikes and a double weakness to Fighting. 135/135/140 defenses should do it.
Alternatively, you can be silly and pour all 130 extra points into a single (preferably non-offensive) stat. Give it base 230 Sp. Def or even base 175 Speed for a laugh.
Ugh. Almost late. Congrats to the (other) winners, and I hope that you're fully recovered by now, Samtendo09.
I decided to go over the list of available items and just pick one of the ones that hadn't been chosen so far, and I ended up with what's the weirdest and most forgettable of the Evolution Stones--Oval Stone doesn't count. Sadly this has been my quickest entry so far despite being a mon I couldn't care less about and tend to forget even exists.
Pokémon: Pidove-Kanto Type: Psychic/Flying {Normal replaced by Psychic} Abilities: Big Pecks / Adaptability / Telepathy (hidden ability) {Super Luck and Rivalry replaced by Adaptability and Telepathy} Stats: 050 HP / 043 Atk / 050 Def / 030 SpA / 036 SpD / 055 Spe = 264 BST]
{swapped Atk with Spe and SpA with SpD at all levels of the line} Height: 1'00" | 0.3 m {same as regular Pidove(-Unova)} Weight: 4.6 lbs | 2.1 kg {same as regular Pidove}
Flavor/Design: The idea was basically just seeing what items hadn't be used yet, being reminded that the Dawn Stone is rather weird, and then seeing if there was another Gen V pokemon I could apply it since so far two Gen V mons of only one gender are the only mons it affects. So I ended up on a mon I have never given the time of day and that we all probably forget exists, which also conveniently still carries the weird gendered thing that Dawn Stone | Awakening Stone has going on even though it works on both genders in this case and both genders end up as the same mon (because I'm lazy, especially right now):
Pokémon Red & Pokémon Blue: "Large flocks of these Pokémon have flocked to Saffron City, apparently attracted by the vast psychic energy of Sabrina and her many followers." Pokémon Yellow: "Like Pidove in other regions, these Pokémon are quite friendly. Unlike other Pidove, however, they have excellent memory and cleanliness." Pokémon Stadium: "It is rather peaceful and can be surprisingly quiet when not eating, but enough negative emotion around it can cause it to lash out."
As far as visual design goes, it's basically regular Pidove, except that its darker grays are replaced with a grass-stained pale green, its lighter grays are basically white, and yellow eyes instead are a light pink--not contagiously so.
Competitively, I still know nothing about Little Cup, but I wouldn't be surprised if Adaptability ended up making it ban-worthy even though it "only" has Psycho Cut at this stage. It would be a funny it did though given this thing had such a barren movepool, especially for a Normal type, that I had to scrape the bottom of the barrel and get rid of the useless moves I normally ignore just to make room for anything.
{evolves from Pidove-Kanto when leveling up to Lv. 21 or higher} Pokémon: Tranquill-Kanto Type: Psychic/Flying {Normal replaced by Psychic} Abilities: Big Pecks / Adaptability / Telepathy (hidden ability) {Super Luck and Rivalry replaced by Adaptability and Telepathy respectively} Stats: 062 HP / 065 Atk / 062 Def / 042 SpA / 050 SpD / 077 Spe = 358 BST
{swapped Atk with Spe and SpA with SpD at all levels of the line} Height: 2'00" | 0.6 m {same as regular Tranquill(-Unova)} Weight: 33.1 lbs | 15.0 kg {same as regular Tranquill}
New Moves: [same as Pidove-Kanto's] + Aura Sphere, Double Kick, Low Kick, Low Sweep, Zen Headbutt Removed Moves: [same as Pidove-Kanto's]
Flavor/Design: The visual design of Tranquill-Kanto is basically the same as regular Tranquill with the same color swaps that Pidove-Kanto has of grassy green for darker grays, white for lighter grays, and light pink eyes instead of yellow one. The only differences are that its normally yellow beak is now pink too, and the band of normally scarlet above its eyes is now also a grassy green:
Pokémon Red & Pokémon Blue: "Its growing psychic powers are now more apparent even though it tends to only express them physically, though there are instances when it obviously uses telepathy." Pokémon Yellow: "Due to its telepathy being even stronger now, it is generally quiet unless addressed by non-psychic humans or needing to express itself verbally to others outside of its flock." Pokémon Stadium: "It has an oddly good sense for fighting, at least with its feet. Given its usual nesting ground is Saffron City, perhaps it picked up from the Fighting Dojo."
Not much else to say about it since I continue to also know nothing about the NFE tier, so maybe a physical Psychic/Flying mon with Adaptability can have some niche there, especially with Dual Wingbeat. I just know that Eviolite won't be as good on it as other NFEs between weaknesses to Knock Off and to Stealth Rock, even with two different forms of recovery (since for some reason this mon already has Wish despite its barren movepool).
{evolves from Tranquill-Kanto with a Dawn Stone, though it's slightly incentivized to still wait until Lv. 32 due to learning Zen Headbutt at that level only as Tranquill-Kanto} Pokémon: Peacecheeper {pun on "peacekeeper" with "cheep" replacing "keep"} Type: Psychic/Fighting {Fighting type replaces Flying type; Psychic type still replaces Normal type} Abilities: Big Pecks / Adaptability / Mindful Heart* (hidden ability) {Super Luck and Rivalry replaced by Adaptability and now Mindful Heart respectively}
(*Mindful Heart is essentially Steely Spirit but for Psychic moves.) Stats: 080 HP / 093 Atk / 080 Def / 055 SpA / 065 SpD / 115 Spe = 488 BST
{swapped Atk with Spe and SpA with SpD at all levels of the line} Height: 4'03 | 1.3 m {same as Throh's height} Weight: 112.4 lbs | 51.0 kg {same as Sawk's weight}
New Moves: [same as Tranquill-Kanto's] + Bulk Up, Coaching, Drain Punch, Superpower, Ill-Intent Illuminer** Removed Moves: [same as Tranquill-Kanto's] (and, technically, Zen Headbutt if it didn't learn it at Lv. 32 as Tranquill-Kanto)
Freeze-Dry but physical, Psychic-typed and Psychic-hating basically: Name: Ill-Intent Illuminer Power: 70 Accuracy: 100% PP: 20 (16 max) Category: Physical Type: Psychic Description: "With a touch, the user causes all of the target's bad intentions backfire on them in a mental cascade of physically damaging guilt." Effect: Deals damage and has a 10% chance of lowering the target's SpA by one stage. If used on a Psychic-type Pokémon, this moves ignores the effectiveness of this move's type against Psychic and treats it as being super effective against Psychic-types instead. Priority: 0 Flags (ex: Contact, Sound): Contact, Mirror, Protect
Flavor/Design: Visually, Peachcheeper diverges quite a lot from both regular Unfezant beyond there being notable sexual dimorphism. For starters, Peachcheeper is the taller and heavier of the two, standing up straighter and being more humanoid if still notably avian, similar to Empoleon. The males gain a bright white overall coloration that makes the feathers of their body look like a gi, broken up by a black "belt" line. The males also gain the head wattle that male Unfezant has, slightly shorter perhaps and different in color as the same bright green that normal male Unfezant randomly gains on its lower half. Female Peacecheeper, meanwhile, gains back the light grays of the regular Pidove family that male Peacecheeper only have on their legs, her body similarly broken up only by a black line. Otherwise they both have heart shaped face-feathers still, their beaks and eyes are still pink, their feathers are white and black on their larger but now flightless wings, and they have much small tailfeathers than Unfezant that point downward, with the last difference between them being that male Peacecheeper has a black peace symbol on its body in the midst of the white and female Peacecheeper only has a band of green above its eyes like a garland:
Pokémon Red & Pokémon Blue: "It is a peaceful Pokémon that prefers to avoid meaningless conflicts and meditate instead. It has even made peace with the fact that it can no longer easily fly." Pokémon Yellow: "It is a peaceful Pokémon but it still has its pride and will fight back if provoked. It turns its attackers own bad intentions against them." Pokémon Stadium: "Its strikes are precise and quick despite its lack of acrobatics or flashiness. It seems to have gained its Fighting knowledge by absorbing ambient lessons from the Fighting Dojo."
I apparently really like making physically-oriented Psychic mons since outside of Mindful Heart making something like Indeedee's Expanding Force in Doubles stupid strong, held in check by Peacecheeper also getting exploded unless it Protects or has an unbroken Focus Sash, STAB physical attacks what are this mon is all about. This also is why I gave Peacecheeper Coaching instead of the more on-flavor Instruct for the sake of sparing Doubles even more Psychic pain.
Despite its still somewhat sparse movepool outside of the usual fluff moves that all Psychics have, its STABs are honestly all it needs between Adaptability and Ill-Intent Illuminer blowing up all other Psychics except for Malamar and the relatively few Psychic/Steel ones; hilariously, this includes itself, so, uh, don't lose Speed ties with this in mirrors. Still, I knew that I needed a niche for this beyond just being faster than the other two canon Psychic/Fighting mons, which both have Megas on top of that, since I also knew that I wanted this to be a Psychic/Fighting mon from the beginning. I think it succeeds at that rather fairly even I could see its Speed or Mindful Heart needing to be dropped a bit, which in the case of the latter would likely just mean going back to the very underwhelming Telepathy; that or just making Mindful Heart boost Flying type moves instead even though the names not really indicative of that, in which case I guess the name should become "Sky-loving Heart" or something.
Honestly not much to say about this other given it intentionally lacks priority, has quite good status moves but lacks the arguably "essential" Toxic as well as the also good Taunt, and is walled so hard by at least Sableye(-Mega), Aegislash, Melanimus, and Expleath that it basically has to U-Turn out. Peacecheeper can at least Psycho Shift back any burns to at least Sableye-Mega though before Peacecheeper (U-)turns tailfeathers and runs. Yay? (And maybe something could be done even with a Body Press set, but I wouldn't hold my breath that it's superior to a "normal" set, even with Bulk Up. I also find it funny I ended up referencing Basilisk of all things just because I wanted something to shore up Psychic/Fighting being resisted by Psychic alone, but at least the flavor fits I guess.)
As usual, I will fix any typos I doubtless still missed like always Later™.
2022/05/02: All typos (that I saw) were fixed, including saying that Tapu Lele had Expanding Force since it thankfully doesn't. Beyond that, I renamed "Ill-Intent Imbalance" to be "Ill-Intent Illuminer" since that flows better.

So what Ability is Blademaster a clone of? All of the “powers up a thing” Abilities have different multipliers. Iron Fist is 1.2x, Tough Claws is 1.3x, Strong Jaw is 1.5x. (I have to say, I really like the name of this one.)

Judging that Tough Claws description is literally the same, "Powers up moves that make direct contact," I would venture a guess that its a Tough Claws clone, but then again it would definitely be best for them to clarify.

Galarian Larvitar, The Scale Armor Pokémon An ancient relative of Johtonian Larvitar, it relied on its armored skin to protect itself. The spikes on its back deterred attacks from above.
Fossils suggest that it swallowed stones to help grind its food in its belly. Modern Larvitar seem to have learned their rock-eating habits in this way.
Updated Type: Rock/Dragon Updated Abilities: Hustle (HA Sand Rush) Updated Stats: 50/50/64/45/50/41 = 300 Removed Moves: Stomping Tantrum, Earthquake, Hyper Beam Replacement Moves: Breaking Swipe, Dragon Rush, Giga Impact New TMs: Smart Strike, Brutal Swing Flavor/Design: This Larvitar is more hunched over, its back at a 45-degree angle relative to the ground. Its tail is larger as well, with two small spikes on either side at the tip, and the "rosette" surrounding the base is absent. Three triangular plates also jut out from its back, resembling those on Yanmega in shape. It is dark green in color, a little lighter in hue than the "Draco-" part of Dracozolt/Dracovish, with the belly patch being red like the "Draco-" part's back, and the plates and toe claws being the same shade of pink. Stat and Gameplay Changes: I simply switched the Attack and Defense stats here, given that I was going for a more defensive stat spread, though still with a solid attack stat to back it up.
Galarian Pupitar, The Hard Skull Pokémon It resembles a fossilized dinosaur skull, terrifying its enemies into fleeing. While slower than Johtonian Pupitar, it can still move about without much issue.
An ancient predator once stalked the lands where this Pokémon lived. By mimicking the appearance of this creature, it didn't need to worry about being attacked.
Updated Type: Rock/Dragon Updated Abilities: Hustle (HA Sand Rush) Updated Stats: 70/70/84/65/70/51 = 410 Removed Moves: Iron Defense, Leer, Payback, Stomping Tantrum, Earthquake, Thrash, Hyper Beam Replacement Moves: Scary Face, Growl, Ancient Power, Dragon Tail, Dragon Rush, Giga Impact New TMs: Smart Strike, Brutal Swing Flavor/Design: This Pupitar resembles the skull of a Tyrantrum balanced on the tip of its snout, with the eyes peeping out of the "sockets". Instead of bluish-gray like modern Pupitar, it is bone white in color. Stat and Gameplay Changes: Same as with Galarian Larvitar.
The Ancient Drake Pokémon When it shows off the plates on its back and its spiky tail, nobody dares to get near it for fear of mortal injury. Fossils of this ancient Pokémon were once referred to as "dragon bones".
This herbivore's brain is so tiny that at one time, it was thought to have been too stupid to survive. It didn't need smarts to defeat its predators, however - its tail spikes were enough.
Name origin: Draconic+whatever the heck the "-itar" part of Tyranitar's name is derived from Type: Rock/Dragon Abilities: Thagomizer [Iron Fist clone for tail moves, same as in the Unovan Amaura line I've subbed previously] (HA Sand Rush) Stats: 100/110/134/75/130/51 = 600 New Moves: Thunder Tail (Electric-type Poison Tail clone that causes paralysis), Comet Tail (Ice-type Poison Tail clone that causes freezing), and Torch Tail (Fire-type Poison Tail clone that causes burning), replacing the elemental fang moves; Ancient Power (in place of Payback); Breaking Swipe (replaces Bite); Dragon Pulse (replaces Dark Pulse); Dragon Tail (replaces Earthquake); Dragon Rush (replaces Thrash); Spike Strike (Dragon-type tail-based Chip Away clone, replaces Crunch) Evolutionary Item: Protector (trade evolution) Flavor/Design: The back half of this quadrupedal plant-eating beast is identical to that of Dracozolt (the Fossilized Drake half), except with one important distinction: the tail is noticeably thicker at the tip, and ends with four long, pink spikes arranged in the same way as the spikes near the end of Tyranitar's tail (albeit twice as long as those of Tyranitar); the spikes are a relatively new discovery that was not associated with the Fossilized Drake at first. The front half, meanwhile, is identical to Tyranitar's, though with a neck that's twice as long and a bit thinner and more tapering, along with forelimbs oriented downwards for walking on all fours. The horns on the head are also different, with the middle one being shorter and the ones on the outer sides being longer. The color scheme of the front half is the same dark green as the back half, with a lighter green underbelly and the red stripy back markings continuing along the back and the top of the neck; the chest patch is also red. The plates on the back and neck are the same pink as those on the back half. Stat and Gameplay Changes: Tyranitar's stat spread is 100/134/110/95/100/61. I switched the Attack and Defense around as usual, but this time I also took 10 points each from Special Attack and Speed to give to Defense. This results in a slower but more fortified defensive tank with a literal sting in its tail, able to abuse Thagomizer to smack things silly with Breaking Swipe, the elemental tail moves, or Dragon Tail to force switches. Alternatively, Sand Rush allows it to remain viable in Sandstorm teams, allowing it to strike more quickly and land devastating blows, though even this may not be quite enough to help it become a proper sweeper, and its sledgehammer-like stat spread with its meaty defenses is better off being used to help it trade hits with powerful opponents.
5/2 EDIT: Also changed Spike Strike to a Chip Away clone (ignoring stat changes) instead of a Bolt Beak/Fishious Rend clone, since the latter option would likely be too powerful even with such poor speed.
This line is based on thyreophoreans, herbivorous ornithischian dinosaurs known for their dermal armor and tail-mounted weaponry such as clusters of spikes or heavy bony clubs, with some heavy influence in Draconitar's case from the Fossilized Drake from Galar (the back half is in fact almost identical in appearance to the Draco- half of the Galar fossils). Most people hypothesized that the Fossilized Drake is a Stegosaurus or a close relative, so I combined that idea with a surprisingly plausible fan-theory a friend of mine came up with that Tyranitar is an herbivore. I vacillated as to whether to give it a proper thagomizer to match both Tyranitar's tail and those of actual stegosaurs, but ultimately I decided to throw it in because having it be missing from the Drake halves of both Dracozolt and Dracovish is right in line with the notion that the Galar fossils are incomplete to start with. It's not like there isn't precedence for this in real-world palaeontology, either - nobody knew that Ankylosaurus had a bony club on its tail when it was first discovered!
-----
The First Bird Pokémon Its feathers were highly conductive, able to emit a magnetic field to help it float for brief periods while chasing prey. It could not truly fly, however, and preferred to hunt on the ground.
Closely related to Unovan Archen, it would eat almost anything it could fit in its beak. It channeled electricity through its beak, wing feathers, and talons to roast its food on the spot.
Updated Type: Electric/Flying Updated Abilities: Static (HA Volt Absorb) Updated Stats: 55/74/45/92/45/90 = 401 Removed Moves: Rock Throw, Dragon Breath, Rock Slide Replacement Moves: Thunder Shock, Discharge, Shock Prod (Electric-type Drill Peck clone) New TMs: Thunder Wave, Volt Switch, Electroweb, Electric Terrain, Eerie Impulse Flavor/Design: The feathers on the torso and arms of this kind of Archen are the same shade of yellow as the main body of the -zolt half of Dracozolt and Arctozolt, and the neck and head are the same color and join smoothly with the body. The beak is unchanged, but lacks teeth, instead having jagged edges resembling them like -zolt's mouth does. The wing and tail feathers are pointy and glow light yellow like -zolt's wings do. Stat and Gameplay Changes: Archen has a stat spread of 55/112/45/74/45/70. I switched the Attack and Special Attack around, and then subtracted 20 points from the higher of the two (the stat with 112) and gave them to Speed, making this Archen a fast mixed sweeper that isn't hampered by the Defeatist ability.
The Ancient Bird Pokémon This prehistoric bird Pokémon was only recently discovered to be related to Archeops. Its wing feathers channeled enough electrical charge to propel it through the air for astounding leaps.
It lived in forested areas millions of years ago, swooping down onto its prey from the canopy and piercing it with electrified claws. When the trees it nested in vanished, however, so did it.
Name origin: Archaeopteryx+Ozone+Volt Type: Electric/Flying Abilities: Static (HA Volt Absorb) Stats: 75/120/75/120/75/112 = 567 New Moves: Thunder Shock, Discharge, and Shock Prod in place of Rock Throw, Dragon Breath, and Rock Slide Evolutionary Item: Razor Claw Flavor/Design: Take the front half of Dracozolt, stick on the back half of Archeops, replace the legs with those of Staraptor albeit the same red as the cheek patches, change the tail feathers into a glowing light yellow lightning bolt shape like on Raichu's tail, and have the innermost front toes sport glowing yellow sickle claws like a Velociraptor. That's this guy. The eyes are open by default, resembling Dracozolt's eyes just after it wakes up in Pokémon Camp. Stat and Gameplay Changes: Archeops' stat spread is 75/140/65/112/65/110 for a BST of 567, which is actually so powerful that its ability is a deliberate nerf. I initially decided to tone down the stats a bit, switching the Attack and Special Attack as usual before deducting 20 points each from both. Since the rules specified that the BST should be the same as the original evolved form, however, as suggested by Samtendo09 I added 10 points to both Defense and Special Defense and then 20 points on Attack. I also transferred 2 points from Attack to Speed so the offenses would be exactly equal, resulting in a fast mixed attacker with frail defenses and unhelpful abilities. alephgalactus also made a good point about Bolt Beak being way too powerful on this thing, so I substituted it with a Drill Peck clone so this thing can have a solid Electric-type physical attack (as its other two Electric STABs are special).
Archeops' dex entries mentioning how it is more adept at running than flying and hunts in packs led me to think about a Velociraptor-based variant, and like the Galarian Larvitar line I threw in some influence from the Galarian fossils as inspiration. Dromaeosaurs are the most obvious inspiration here, but my keeping the Archeo- part for this variant's name is for a more obscure but still relevant reason. There was a hoax fossil called "Archaeoraptor" that was a composite of the front half of the fossil bird Yanornis, the tail of Microraptor, and the legs of an unknown animal. It isn't a coincidence that Archaeozolt is a composite of Archeops and the Fossilized Bird in almost the exact same fashion - except that in universe, it's an actual Pokémon and not a mishmash of several different ones. That's what the canon Galar fossils are for!

Resubmission from Not-So-Signature 3: Unique or Unused Type Combos
These Pachirisu are adapted for harsh city life. They use their powerful tails both to pummel evildoers and to launch themselves over gaps in the skyline.
The muscles in its limbs generate electricity - the harder it fights, the more power it can produce. It tirelessly defends the innocent no matter the cost.
Removed Moves: Baby-Doll Eyes, Charm, Sweet Kiss, Last Resort Replacement Moves: Quick Guard, Work Up, Detect, Sky Uppercut New TMs: Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Protect, Revenge, Brick Break, Bounce, U-turn, Drain Punch, Low Sweep, Acrobatics, Air Slash
Flavor/Design: A type of Pachirisu that has adapted to life in the big city, this little do-gooder is a symbol of heroism in Castelia City especially. It has light red fur like the color of Houndour's snout instead of white, and instead of blue stripes on their backs, its' is very dark gray except for the lower half of the face which remains white, with the same yellow cheek pouches as Sinnohan Pachirisu as well as hands and feet that are also yellow in color. The long tail terminates in what appears to be a cartoonish red boxing glove, and is the same yellow as the cheeks and limbs except for the red stripe up top which is connected to said glove; the three spikes on the top of the tail tip are still there, but arranged perpendicular to the tail instead of along its length, making it look like a knuckle duster. The entire top half of the head (rather than just the ears and a small stripe) is also dark gray, but there's also a black domino mask around the eyes, which are now solid white. The shiny sprite has gray fur, the same blue as regular Pachirisu on the top half of the head, yellow cheek pouches, a darker blue boxing glove and cheek pouches, and a white tail. Stat and Gameplay Changes: There's no need to fear, Pachirisu is here! This little guy has outcompeted Emolga (which is not found in Castelia City) for one critical reason: its main strategy is to hit fast and hard, with a physical attack almost as strong as its Speed as well as Iron Fist and Justified as abilities - the former to boost punching moves including several STAB moves and the latter allowing it to switch into Dark-types before beating the ever-loving crap out of them. Aside from Electric and Fighting moves, it also knows a few Flying-, Ice-, and Fire-type moves, and can even use the Bug-type U-turn for scouting purposes or if it has to make a tactical retreat. Notably, Iron Fist makes both Ice Punch and Thunder Punch solid options for it since the former is useful against both Ground- and Flying-types that would otherwise threaten it, so while Ice Punch doesn't get STAB, and while you might still want to pack Sky Uppercut or Brick Break to beat down Steel-types, who wouldn't want a cute little squirrel sidekick that can and WILL unleash the infamous BoltBeam combo a la One-Punch Man?
The Heroic Pokémon They leap and bound across city skylines unseen as they patrol in search of threats to their territory. Their keen senses alert them to incoming attacks, enabling them to dodge them before they even hit.
Its muscles in its tail channel so much electricity that it can move faster than the eye can follow and strike with terrific force. Famous for its sense of justice, it is a mascot of social justice groups across Unova.
Name origin: Pachipachi (electric crackling onomatopoeia) + Hiro ("hero" in Japanese) Type: Electric/Fighting Abilities: Justified/Iron Fist (Hidden Ability: Volt Absorb) Stats: 70/110/55/90/55/125 = 505 Height: 2'8" Weight: 70 lbs
New Moves: Mach Punch, Thunder Punch, Power-Up Punch, Wild Charge, Superpower Evolution: Give Unovan Pachirisu a Thunder Stone with 1 HP left Flavor/Design: Taller, darker, and more powerfully built than its pre-evolution, the first of the three proposed "Raiclones" is built like a traditional Western superhero. It has the same large legs and long feet as Raichu, but the blue feet have fur tufts at the ankles suggesting boots, and the forearm portions of its muscular arms are also blue with matching fur tufts. The rest of the body is dark gray in color, save for the blue V-shaped stripe on its chest and the blue down its back. Its tail is still its main feature and best weapon, being much larger and more powerful, with an actual white-colored four-fingered fist resembling a cartoon glove on the tip; the rest of it is the same blue as the "boots", "gloves", and chest marking. The three knuckle-duster spikes on the tail are still there, but there are also three more spikes on the back, one on each shoulder and one between; all of these are also white in color, glowing blue-white with stored electricity. It has the same black domino mask around the eyes, but the corners have two upwards-curving spikes, the upper pair bigger than the lower, and the white eyes now have a fierce glare; the longer, but still conical ears also point straight up with a look not unlike Batman's helmet, though the lower half of the face once again stays white. The shiny sprite replaces all the blue hues with red, and changes the dark gray to brown. Stat Changes: Leaning into the fast but frail sweeper angle, I added 10 points each to all stats from Unovan Pachirisu, before adding 10 more to Attack and Special Attack each and 20 more to Speed. This is a Pokémon that's as vulnerable as it is formidable in battle, its middling HP and awful defenses ensuring that it will go down to anything with priority or an even faster Speed stat, even with neutral damage. But if it can get a hit in first, it will hit HARD, and with Electric and Fighting both being excellent attacking types, that's usually all it needs to do. The same coverage as its predecessor applies, though. Of course, anything faster than Pachiro or that can get an Earthquake or a Ghost-type move in first will take it down with ease, so your best hope is to load up all your STAB moves and try to get Pachiro to take something down before it has to sacrifice itself so others can live!
This line is one I had in mind for a while now, and I wanted to see if I could bring it into this pet mod contest, and the unused type combos including Electric/Fighting gave me a golden opportunity. It was a bit hard to try and find a way to make an electric squirrel work in the same region as Emolga, but then I remembered how Eastern gray squirrels are invasive and have displaced the American red squirrel, and Castelia City doesn't have Emolga, so there you go. The obvious inspiration for this line is comic-book and cinematic superheroes, which mostly come in one of two varieties: the wacky, fantastical kind from the Golden Age which get into all kinds of wild scenarios limited only by the imagination of the writers, and the grittier, more realistic kind that took over the superhero scene from the 90's onward. Unovan Pachirisu is more akin to the former, and Pachiro the latter, with their standard color schemes specifically borrowing somewhat from the various incarnations of DC Comics' Robin along with the grown-up version known as Nightwing. The shiny colors, respectively, reference Rocky the Flying Squirrel and, well, Squirrel Girl! XD

New Submissions:
A type of Druddigon that lives on the frozen surface of the Crown Tundra instead of caves. Its skin is less durable as a result, but can heat up to keep itself from freezing.
It cooks its prey alive with its burning claws and searing bite. However, some tales tell of it taking pity on people lost in the snow, rescuing them and keeping them warm.
Removed Moves: Metal Claw (move to egg moves, inheritable from Charizard or Duralodon), Iron Head (move to TRs), Superpower Replacement Moves: Fire Fang, Flame Charge, Flare Blitz New TMs: Fire Spin, Sunny Day, Will-O-Wisp, Mystical Fire, Breaking Swipe
Flavor/Design: Adapted for life in a freezing environment, this Druddigon keeps the stocky, grody profile of its gargoyle-like Unovan counterpart, but its limbs are thicker and even more muscular, while its wings are smaller to help reduce heat loss. Its normally blue skin is now charred black from the heat it emits, with glowing orange veins like volcanic cracks on the lower parts of its arms and tail as well as its neck constantly emitting heat. Its head is a brighter, more orange shade of red, with matching red-orange spikes, and the join with the body segues directly to the veins on the neck as though its superheated inner self is bursting out of an ashen shell. The two horns just behind its eyes are twice as long as on Unovan Druddigon and curve backwards to accentuate the draconic look. The very tip of its tail has an additional red-orange spike as well, shaped like a diamond or the head of a spear, merging smoothly with the last quarter or so of the tail itself which also glows red-orange and transitions to the blackened part with volcanic veins as well; the same can be said for the glowing orange hands which sport long, razor-sharp talons that glow white-hot. The plated belly is also rust-colored instead of gold, and two of the plates on the chest have fused together to form a shield of solid bone, marred only by a small horizontal crack at the very center which also burns orange. Its wings also have glowing red-orange tips transitioning to the rest with lava veins, and while they look insignificant, they actually vent heat rather than absorbing it - this Druddigon's attack animations would have jets of flame being blasted from its wings, making them look several times bigger and much more imposing. Stat and Gameplay Changes: Druddigon is already a dedicated physical attacker, but I decided to give it some additional help with that, with better Speed and Special Attack - namely, switching the special stats around and taking 30 points from physical defense to add to Speed. With a combination of the same mighty attack stat as regular Druddigon along with powerful moves like Flare Blitz, Outrage, and Dragon Claw, this variant is faster but more frail than its Unovan cousin, its Fire-type attacks easily scorching most Fairy-types its Dragon moves can't touch.
The Monarch Pokémon It rules over whole communities of Pokémon that come to it in search of safety. Like any good king, however, requesting sanctuary is not enough to win its favor - it is most fond of noble, selfless souls and acts vicious towards those with evil hearts.
The glowing scar on its chest is its weakest point, but also burns brightest of all. Wherever it goes, the ground around it thaws out while plants and Pokémon wake from hibernation, so it often has to excuse itself to avoid disturbing the natural order.
Name origin: Druddigon + Y Drai Goch Type: Dragon/Fire Abilities: Flame Body/Sheer Force (HA: Mold Breaker) Stats: 107/125/90/90/90/58 = 560 Height: 9' Weight: 2100 lbs
New Moves: Dragon Rush, Draxcalibur (Signature move, Dragon-type physical Freeze-Dry clone, hits Fairy-types super-effectively), Torch Tail (Fire-type Poison Tail clone that causes burning), Flamethrower New TMs/TRs: Fly, Bounce, Acrobatics, Bulldoze, Smart Strike, Brutal Swing, Stomping Tantrum Evolution: Give Galarian Druddigon a King's Rock Flavor/Design: The king of all (non-Legendary) Fire-types, Drudraigoch is almost twice as big as its pre-evo, more powerfully built, and every bit as imposing as a ruler is expected to be. It has a body shape somewhat more like Tropius than Druddigon, and though it retains Druddigon's huge arms with their spikes and huge sharp talons, they are now so heavy and packed with muscle that it has become a quadruped, the back being sloped like a Brachiosaurus. Its neck is also several times as long proportionally as Druddigon's, the red-hot glow of its head transitioning with several jagged-edged armor plates around the neck like rings, fading from orange to reddish black. The head itself is longer with a narrower snout, tipped with a hooked beak on the end but otherwise retaining the same jagged edge to the lips, while the now-ridged horns sweep upwards and back like a gazelle's horns, with three shorter horns between them; these horns fade to white-hot at the tips, giving the impression of a majestic, fiery crown. A small, forward-pointing, slightly downwards-curving nose horn also juts out from the very front of the snout, with the nostrils just behind it constantly emitting trails of smoke in a way resembling both a dragon's smoldering breath and a king's mustache, while a beard of smaller spikes like Tyrantrum adorns the bottom of the chin and lower jaw, and inside the mouth is a narrow, serpentine tongue tipped not with a fork, but with an arrowhead like the one owned by the Welsh Dragon this thing is named after. The back of the neck (which, along with the rest of the back, is held at a 45-degree angle) also sports a fiery, jagged fin that glows the same red-hot as the head itself, and complimenting this, the wings are now shaped more like Helioptile's frills, akin to the fin-like wings of medieval woodcut dragons - when attacking, the wings glow completely red-hot with flames blasting out of them, the shape resembling more conventional dragon wings, the thrust of this even allowing Drudraigoch to fly for a significant distance when it points its wings backwards, not unlike Valstrax from Monster Hunter. On the other end is a long, muscular tail, which also sports jagged armored rings like the neck, transitioning from reddish black back to orange, with the tail blade having grown into a fleur-de-lis with a curved spike on either side and a long, sword-like diamond-shaped blade at the tip, all three of which glow white-hot like the horns; the top of the tail also has several small red-orange spikes, one atop each armored ring. Lastly, the underside is still rust-red, the plating covering the underbelly and the underside of the neck, but the chest plate (now located at the base of the neck like a peytral) is now expanded to form a shape like a heraldic shield, halved by divisions both vertically and horizontally; the glowing crack in the middle is now shaped like a plus-sign or a cross, burns white-hot, and actually emits a fiery aura during Drudraigoch's attack animations. Stat Changes: Drudraigoch is tied with Mega Camerupt for having the second-highest BST of any non-Legendary Fire-type, with only the Mega Charizards and Mega Blaziken having higher BSTs. The bulk of its stat increases has gone into its defenses and HP, allowing it to become significantly tougher than its pre-evolution, especially with Flame Body allowing it to hobble physical attackers, while still dishing out some of the most powerful STAB attacks this side of Reshiram - Sheer Force with Dragon Rush never disappoints, Flare Blitz isn't entirely out of the question with that hefty HP stat, and it even has a Dragon-type signature move, Draxcalibur, specifically for the purpose of beating the living shit out of Fairy-types hoping to tank the rest of its Dragon attacks. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows for this roasting royal, though: its durability comes at the expense of Speed, being actually slower than Galarian Druddigon, and it has no access to recovery, defense-boosting moves, or anything to counter Ground-types with. Toxic and Thunder Wave in particular outright terrify Drudraigoch, since while its Burn immunity allows it to no-sell the otherwise nasty Will-O-Wisp, it isn't able to get rid of incurred status effects on its own, and anything that puts it on a timer or stops it in its tracks is practically a death sentence.
Gotta be honest with y'all here: I was actually a bit disappointed in the fact that even though the Galar region is based on Britain and its neighbors like Scotland and Wales, we got no representation for any of the classically British dragons, with the Dragon-types being based on such other stuff as apples, a prehistoric amphibian, some very messed-up fossils, and hell, even a building. Where were the Lambton Wyrm, the Mordiford Wyvern, or heck, the freaking Red Dragon of Wales? It was that last one specifically that I used as the basis for Drudraigoch, the name coming from a portmonteau of Druddigon and one of the alternate names for the beast, with some additional influences from the Arthurian mythos which has, as one of its most famous events, a red dragon emerging victorious over a white one being seen as an omen of the Celtic Brits' victory over the Saxons. I know, Druddigon is already found in the Crown Tundra expansion, but I felt that its already grotesque look, which was most in line with the creepy, grody dragons common in medieval European artwork, made it the most appropriate choice. The added Fire type is admittedly stereotypical given the whole "breathing fire" thing, but I justified it by plopping this line in the Crown Tundra where a heat-based ability would be goddamn necessary. Plus we've got way too few Dragon/Fire-types anyway and if anything was going to be done with that type combo, a classic dragon would be the best if most obvious route. Being atypical is fine and all, but sticking with the classics can't hurt, can it?
A number of design elements for Drudraigoch were actually taken from the Create-A-Pokémon forum, and inspired specifically by Pipotchi's submission for CAP 27 which was also based on the Welsh Dragon and also has a chestplate with a red-hot chink in its armor; that said, I took painstaking care to make mine as different as it could be from that incredible design, and I hope Pip doesn't mind my citing of their design as inspiration. Still, credit where credit is due!

This kind of Spheal lives in the cold waters north of Kalos. It preys on much larger creatures than its Hoennian counterpart, taking surprisingly large bites out of them.
Despite its rotund appearance, it is unexpectedly quick, and is known to attack in groups. Its cry sounds like a snarl, intimidating other hunters into giving up their spoils.
Removed Moves: Water Gun, Brine (move to TM), Surf (move to TM) Replacement Moves: Bite, Crunch, Brutal Swing New TMs: Thief, Beat Up, Fake Tears, Shadow Claw, Ice Fang, Payback, Assurance, Tail Slap, Snarl, Stomping Tantrum
Flavor/Design: Leaner and meaner than Hoennian Spheal, this little bastard is still generally round, but less like a perfect sphere and more like a football in shape, the front and back tapering somewhat. Its large mouth still has two protruding fangs, but these are larger and sharper than its Hoenn cousin, and its mouth has a scowl rather than a smile. Its eyes are angry-looking though still cute, black, and beady. Each flipper also now has a short, black claw. Its color scheme is a dull bluish gray with a white belly rather than blue and cream, with a couple of dark gray spots on its back. Stat and Gameplay Changes: The stats are rearranged so this Spheal is less like a round, tanky little ball of joy and more of a vicious physical attacker with higher speed and attack. Strong Jaw turns moves like Ice Fang and Crunch from paltry flavor to useful STAB moves, while Moxie allows it to build more and more attack power as it scores more and more KOs. With Water, Ground, and even Ghost moves in its repertoire, it's also well-equipped to take on Fire-, Steel-, and Fighting-types that would otherwise threaten it.
It prowls around cold northern waters in search of fresh meat. With its sharp fangs and clawed flippers, it seems to play with any victim it catches, but is actually savaging it it until it faints.
While they hunt alone, they sometimes gather on icebergs. Occasionally, a swimming Avalugg may find a group of them riding it, using its back as a vantage point for spotting prey.
Removed Moves: Rollout, Water Gun, Brine (move to TM), Surf (move to TM), Blizzard (move to TM) Replacement Moves: Fury Swipes, Bite, Crunch, Brutal Swing, Icicle Crash New TMs: Thief, Beat Up, Fake Tears, Shadow Claw, Ice Fang, Payback, Assurance, Tail Slap, Snarl, Stomping Tantrum
Flavor/Design: Same changes as with Kalosian Spheal - a leaner body, claws on the flippers (though two each instead of one here), a longer snout with a more powerful bite, and bigger, sharper, more prominent fangs. The same color scheme change also applies. Differences unique to Sealeo are that the whiskers are smaller, though still prominent, while the ears absent from Hoennian Sealeo are retained here, albeit small, pointed, and a little cat-like. Notably, the back feet that would've served as jury-rigged tail flukes have shrunk into stubs, while the end of the tail has an actual tail fluke, shaped like a circular wedge, reminiscent of the tail of a manatee more than anything else. Stat and Gameplay Changes: Same as Kalosian Spheal.
The Ship-Wrecker Pokémon The terror of any watercraft that ventures through the seas of northern Kalos, it often mistakes boats for rivals and swiftly sinks them. It can dive up to a mile deep in search of prey, but is virtually helpless once on land.
An unrelenting malice dwells within the heart of this foul-tempered bully. Should any victim escape its deadly claws and saber teeth, it will throw a terrible tantrum, utterly destroying anything foolish enough to get too close.
New Moves: Slash, Night Slash, Outrage, Ice Fang, Biting Chill (Ice-type Fishious Rend clone boosted by Strong Jaw) Evolution: Trade Kalosian Sealeo while it's holding a Deep-Sea Tooth Flavor/Design: Far from the dumpy yet formidable-looking Walrein, the ferocious Walravage is a sleek, streamlined, and deadly predator that rules the northern seas with an iron claw. To picture this fearsome sea beast, take the body and fluked tail of a dugong (not Dewgong, no, more like this), add two little nubby back flippers like what Walrein has except a bit smaller, replace the simple front flippers with large three-clawed webbed paws, and add a head like a mix of Walrein's and Pyroar's, with a longer snout and the tusks like the fangs of a saber-toothed cat. The frizzy "whiskers" are still there, but more back-swept like a bow wave, and a complimentary backwards-flowing mane surrounds much of its neck (though not the bottom; the two white lines on the underside of the neck like on Walrein remain, though the belly from the chest onward is also white). A pair of small cat-like ears tops its head, just behind each eye. The color scheme is the same as Kalosian Spheal's and Sealeo's, but the spots are more prominent and similar to Liepard's, decorating the back from the shoulders down to halfway down the tail. The tail flukes have the same two white lines as Walrein's, and the same shape.
For all three stages, the shinies for this line have dark gray skin with lighter gray spots, rather than the other way around. Stat Changes: I had to change up the stat spread for this one a little - it was originally going to have a whopping 120 Attack and 90 HP, but I later decided that something bulkier with more middling attack would make more sense, specifically because Biting Chill - which was removed from some of my previous submissions because I'd made the mistake of slapping it on speedsters with very high physical Attack - is just that powerful as a Fishious Rend clone. The 90 Attack is the exact same as Dracovish's, but Walravage is even slower and has more type weaknesses including a crippling 4x Fighting weakness, and no way to counter Fairy-types, meaning team support and coverage moves like Surf, Stomping Tantrum, or even Shadow Claw are more essential. The basic strategy is still the same, though. Hopefully this would be a better 'mon to put Biting Chill on than either Arctyrant or Arctochomp before it!
I admittedly came up with this line specifically so Biting Chill could be used on something, but I think it's pretty solid regardless. The main basis for it is actually not walruses, but leopard seals, with the cat-like characteristics being a terrible visual pun because I just like those a lot in my own fakemon designs. Walravage in particular, however, is also based on a mythical creature known as the katthveli, or "cat-whale", which is, well, a cat-headed whale with saber-teeth (and which may or may not have been, in fact, a misinterpreted walrus). The katthveli is just one of the many kinds of illhveli or "evil whales" from Scandinavian folklore, and these weird and monstrous sea beasts were said to attack and destroy ships and regular whales alike. Some ships would have specific methods of distracting or deterring them like throwing barrels overboard or banging on brass pots to annoy them into leaving - and if they were successfully evaded they would get so angry that they'd die outright! Ice/Dark sounded like the best choice in light of this information, and while I did want to try a Seel variant for this, I figured it'd be nice to try pampering a Hoenn-native Pokémon for once.

A type of Staryu from the Distortion World whose body is completely petrified. The mysterious force allowing it to move like a living Staryu comes from the eye-like gemstone at its center.
Staring into its central jewel seems to induce extreme terror, leaving victims scared stiff as it drains their life force. Some say it can even take over the mind of anyone looking directly at it.
Removed Moves: Harden, Water Gun, Psybeam, Brine, Light Screen, Psychic, Surf, Cosmic Power, Hydro Pump Replacement Moves: Leer, Astonish, Hex, Ancient Power, Glare, Rock Tomb, Shadow Sneak, Stealth Rock, Shadow Ball New TMs: Rock Slide, Charm, Will-O-Wisp, Imprison, Fake Tears, Rock Blast, Magic Room, Phantom Force, Draining Kiss
Flavor/Design: Somehow, a Staryu - or a piece thereof; seeing as starfish can multiply after being cut apart, who would know the difference? - ended up being dropped off in the Distortion World, and reacted to its eldritch energy, turning into a living stone effigy of itself. Attempting to move led to it crumbling to pieces, but then they started making more and more Staryu, and now there's a whole army of these evil-eyed stony abominations everywhere! These Staryu are almost blindingly white instead of brown (or slate-gray in case of the shiny), with tentacles that are segmented and conical instead of pyramid-like, as well as being narrower and longer; these twitch and wriggle like octopus tentacles and allow it to haul itself slowly along, since it can't simply yeet itself like a shuriken anymore. The golden center portion is still there, but brass-colored instead, and the jewel in the center is now vivid acid-green with a red diamond-shaped marking in the center like a slitted pupil. It is this gemstone that emits a mysterious force that locks down the nervous system of its victims, allowing it to drain all the life force from them; petrified husks are often left in their wake, with some still crawling on them as though trying to suck the dregs of life from them with the sucker-like mouths in the midst of all their tentacles. Spooooooky. Stat and Gameplay Changes: I didn't change the numbers at all compared to Kantonian Staryu's stat spread, just rearranged them - this Staryu is much slower but more heavily attack-oriented than its predecessor. Its Special Attack is still its best stat, but there's a distinct lack of good special Ghost attacks to make use of it, and few special Rock attacks either, so the poor thing is stuck with Power Gem, Ancient Power, and Shadow Ball... well, that last one's not too bad, but still. Evolution will definitely change this, however...
The Beholding Pokémon Upon evolving, every one of its arms has developed an eye of its own, allowing it to see in any direction and drain the life from multiple victims. One can tell if a Stargoneion has been around by the presence of statues that look disturbingly life-like.
Its appearance strikes fear into the hearts of even the bravest of souls, allowing it to freely terrorize everyone it comes across. Ironically, shields and masks are sometimes fashioned in its image to protect their owners from other supernatural threats.
New Moves: Gem Glimmer (special Rock-type Dragon Breath clone, may cause flinching), Refracture (special Rock-type Night Daze clone), Curse, Death Stare (Ghost-type Zap Cannon clone, paralyzes target) Evolution: Give Distorted Staryu a Dusk Stone Flavor/Design: Suffice it to say, Starmie, this ain't. Like its pre-evo, its ten arms are narrower, longer, and segmented and conical rather than pyramidal, and again, its center portion is brass-colored with a round, green gem sporting a red diamond-shaped "pupil". However, its arms are now colored rusty red with dull pink streaks like red marble (the shiny's arms are black, i.e. black marble), and each segment of each arm has a small spike on the underside for additional traction. Most frightening of all, every one of its arms is tipped with a smaller green gem of its own, with its own pupil; this enables it to see virtually anything anywhere, and some even believe it can see into the past or future, though this has yet to be proven. Notably, unlike Starmie it lies flat on the ground, at least three of its arms raised like eyestalks at all times while the rest pull it along. On its underside, at the center of all of its arms, is a four-part beak like Omastar, the purpose of which is unclear - like Distorted Staryu, it "eats" by absorbing life force through its eyes - but whatever it's used for, it can't be any good...
The shiny color schemes of both Distorted Staryu and Stargoneion have vivid orange eyes with dark brown pupil markings. This is of course a reference to tiger's eye gemstones, while the regular colors are a more saturated version of cat's eye gems. Stat Changes: Slower but more specially gifted than Starmie, Stargoneion is a beam-spammer that's mainly here to royally fuck up someone's day while the chance is there, and preferably before it gets shattered to bits and dumped in the trash to make way for the next party member. Thankfully, its Ghost-type gives it a Fighting immunity and it can hit right back with Shadow Ball and Death Stare, while Gem Glimmer and Refracture are also useful for dishing out paralysis and lowering accuracy respectively. Its main failing is its six type weaknesses, all common and all dangerous, and while Draining Kiss helps with recovery and against Dark-types, its HP isn't quite good enough to justify it so much, and while it still has plenty of Water and Electric attacks to take on Ground- and Water-types respectively, that's about as far as its coverage goes, sadly. Of note however is that hidden ability, Serene Grace - given that two of its best STAB moves have a chance of inducing status, and two others have a chance of lowering specific stats, Stargoneion is capable of pulling off some pretty hax strategies involving either technique, abusing either flinching or paralysis to stop opponents in their tracks and give itself or its teammates the chance to really cause mayhem.
Did you know that there's a genus of basket star - a member of the brittle star order - called Gorgonocephalus? I've wanted to do something with that idea for a while now, but I wasn't sure how to implement it in a way that was only minimally family-unfriendly. When I saw that Distortion World variants are possible and that a few are accepted, though, I realized that a Ghost-type that drained life force in the same way as how Yveltal's Oblivion Wing is portrayed in the anime as turning things to stone was a pretty solid option, and even fits the classic gorgon's gaze well enough. The other major inspiration for this line is the gorgoneion, a Classical bit of iconography portraying Medusa's head on the shield of Athena as a ward against evil, even though Medusa herself was monstrous when she was alive. This is why I added in some flavor about masks and shields depicting it being used as wards, which also references the evil eye amulets of the Middle East (I would've made the gem colors and patterns a more direct reference to that, but I decided that felt too on-the-nose). Add in some influences from D&D's Beholder, starfish having simple eyes on the ends of each of their arms, and the fact that echinoderm skeletons are made of calcium carbonate - the same substance that comprises chalk, which in turn is formed from the fossilized remains of ancient sea creatures - and there you have it! I really like this concept, actually, and regardless of whether it ends up in this pet mod or not, I might end up keeping it for my own use later... ;)
Name origin: Archaeopteryx+Ozone+Volt Type: Electric/Flying Abilities: Static (HA Volt Absorb) Stats: 75/120/75/120/75/112 = 567 New Moves: Thunder Shock, Discharge, and Bolt Beak in place of Rock Throw, Dragon Breath, and Rock Slide
As good as this is flavor-wise, Bolt Beak on a Pokémon with base 112 Speed and 120 Attack seems broken. I recommend you tone the Attack down to 100 at the absolute most, to keep things in line with Dracozolt and Arctozolt (both of which are far slower, so we might need to nerf the Attack even more to compensate). We can put the extra stats in Defense and Sp. Def; it won’t really make much difference there.
