Being leaps and bounds above Prime 2 isn't saying much.I'm staying out of reading this thread. But the game so far is leaps and bounds above Metroid Prime 2. Almost as good as Metroid Prime (Prime beats it due to atmosphere so far)

I'm quite disapointed with the hypermode grapple. It's really disapointing, the hyperball is the best one because it's so unique.
I wish the ships features could be used more. The missles and grapple are not even used over 3 times in the game each.
- The opening seemed to be trying hard to create some epic space opera feel with the galactic federation people and voice acting and whatnot. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it seems somewhat out of place in a series that emphasizes isolation.
i just discovered how to kill metroid hatchers easier! use the x-ray visor and you'll see a weak spot, just shoot at it with the nova beam and you will literally beat it in 3 seconds flat.
This is my only concern with the game. They give you way too much outside help. Even in Metroid Fusion, you were being told to do stuff, but no one was like oh, here, take this upgrade that I will make appear for you. Every thing else is good though. SkyTown makes you feel sad for all the robots. And Bryyo's history is amazing.
well i just beat corruption and was wondering if echos is worth getting. The first Metriod Prime was like my favorite game and i was so psyched when i heard they were making echos but then i fell in love with kotor and kind've forgot about metriod but after this game i'm in love all over again and was wandering if i should get echos or not, a lot of these posts make it sound bad.i don't understand what's so bad about echoes, though. i personally loved it. the graphics were superior to prime's, the enemies and environments were a lot more realistic this time (i always felt tallon iv having a desert-ish region, an icy area and a rainforest area a little odd), and the puzzles made a lot more sense. i agree that the dark world was kinda boring, but it was made up for with awesome dark world boss fights (quadraxis, chykka, amorbis, etc). it was a fantastic game, not as good as prime or prime 3 but it's definitely not the bad game you guys make it seem to be.
i would think thats because they were under dark samus' influence. they were basically bent on anything dark samus was bent on, so of course the only terminals they created were to praise DS and talk about the progress of her taking over the universe. but there were the terminals in the metroid room on pirate homeworld that talked about metroid project "dread". i think there were a few other terminals like that on the planet. Also, was anyone else somewhat disappointed by the huge lack of non-lore SP terminals to scan? I loved those in MP1 and 2...mostly because they gave you some more insight as to what the Space Pirates were currently doing and what their plans were. Made me think what it'd be like to be in their shoes.
Play it on hypermode difficulty next, i don't know if your playing on normal but when i did it was so easy i got disappointed but then i started playing hypermode and it was a blast the enemys actually force you to dodge around their shots and the bosses are more fun to, especially omega Ridley.I guess I'm nearing completion, I just have to say that none of the boss battles have been frustrating or even difficult at that. Gandrayda was probably the hardest and that is saying something. Ridley was disappointingly easy.
Well, in those games shes not actually talking, ever. All of the time its what shes thinking inside her head. Just her thoughts, and nothing more. I personally loved this game and getting a lot of those credits was fun. I'm surprised no one has said this but does anyone have Friend Vouchers they'd like to share? I have quite a few so anything is good, I need to get some of the bonus unlockables. Also, I'm gonna try for a Hypermode difficulty run through without the use of except when necessary like the Leviathan bosses and obstructions. Also on a final note, anyone get the crap scared out of them on the G.F.S. Valhalla? Doing it at night was creepy to say the least.
