Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

The Valhalla was cool and creepy at the same time IMO. I liked the "fetch quest" in the game because it was just so easy to pick up like 6 of the required items before you found out you needed them! I liked how you could shoot the corpses, and how there were bodies on some of the doors (that made me jump a couple times).

On a side note, I started Hypermode last night. I'm only on Norion, but it doesn't seem to be that much harder, but I haven't fought any tough bosses yet (my first death on MP hard mode was Sheegoth). I've said it before, but I'll say it again : the music for this game is really great! It really contributes to the atmosphere.

All right, I finished this on Hyper mode difficulty just recently, and I can safely say that this is the hardest Metroid game just to play through normally when you factor the hardest difficulty levels. The bosses are very difficult and tedious this time around, and you'll find yourself going into hyper mode quite a bit even against normal enemies. Good luck beating Pirate Commandoes and even Metroid Hatchers efficiently without going into hyper mode or using the X-Ray + Nova beam trick.

And don't even get me started on Phaaze and Dark Samus. Hyper mode Dark Samus is by far, the hardest boss in any Metroid game, period. Not only do you have to just beat DS, you must beat her with enough energy remaining so you don't die instantly against the Aurora unit. To be honest, that was not a problem in Normal and Veteran. Good luck to anyone about to fight Hyper mode DS. Trust me, you'll need it.

Yep, as I said, I just started last night :P Dark Samus was the hardest boss in the game just in Veteran IMO. AU 313 was a joke, the morph ball attacks of the DS clones were a little annoying, I suppose. Getting into the fight with enough health, yes, that could be an issue. I'm quite concerned about more of the earlier segments as well to be honest, such as Rundas, and Mogenar. Those guys, as well as Dark Samus, gave me the hardest time in Veteran. Otherwise, I think I should be fine until Pirate Homeworld, as I don't have to scan anything, and I know which rooms have infinite spawnining pirates this time around!

Eh, Rundas was easy when you shoot those ice chunks for health. Pretty much the whole game gave out a vastly large amount of health orbs, even during the Morgenar battle, although I did come close to dieing in that battle. Friend Vouchers anyone?

Sorry if this is old news but i found out today that in morph ball mode you can jump by waving the wii remote. I was trying to swat a fly and did it by accident.

It's old news I guess, but it's not in the instruction booklet or anything, so whatever. I didn't know it existed until I was rolling around on Bryyo trying to solve the airlock puzzle, and for some reason I ended up finding out how to use it.

On the subject of friend vouchers, my Wii Code is going to be in my sig from now on, unless a forum feature comes up to put it somewhere like Friend Codes. Just PM me if you want to exchange vouchers or anything like that, but I'll only keep you on my roster if you're getting Super Smash Bros Brawl :P

You know thats a great idea Arseus, you can put me down for both. (I preordered SSBB). The morph ball jump isn't anything new, hell I knew about it before the game was out when I watched a few reviews on it.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl will probably use a friend code unique to the game. The screenshot of WiFi Play lobby had a "Add Friend Code" button.

is this game worth buying even if u havent played any of the old metroid prime games? cuz i havent, but reading this makes me wanna get one!

Well, you could just get Metroid Prime on GameCube for $20 or less nowadays. So I'd say do that. Just keep in mind that the controls of Prime aren't as good as Prime 3, but Prime (imo) is still the better game due to its environments. It also still holds up graphically so give it a try.

Finished this yesterday on Normal with 100% pickups (and nearly all scans). Awesome game, definately one of the best out for Wii.
Toughest bosses for me were Rundas, Monegar and AU 313. I liked the Ridley boss fights, even if they were easy. Gandrayda was like the most fast paced battle I had (and it was long too), just non stop shooting and moving since she herself doesn't stop (Dark Samus and Rundas would be next).
Loved the controls for this game. The Wii-mote really helps a lot a makes it feel more natural. And yeah, the music is great all throughout the game and it really sets the mood.

Only thing that sucks for me is not having Wi-Fi, so I can't get any Friend Vouchers to buy the cool Bonus stuff.

I was wondering, what the ship you see going after Samus in the extended ending is or if it has appeared in any previous Metroid games, since MP3: Corruption was my first real Metroid experience (I had only played Metroid Fusion and one of the old games briefly before).

I started the game again today, this time in Hypermode difficulty and I'm currently about to go to Bryyo Fire.
I'd also like to know if you get anything for finishing the game in all difficulty levels and speed running through it.

The ship that appears afterwards everyone says is Sylux's ship from Metroid Prime Hunters. Everyone believes it ties into the whole "Dread" project you see in one of the scans.

Regarding NP giving it a 10...
There is no way it gets a 10. 10 means PERFECT this is not perfect. Dam close though. Give it co-op, online multi, and then it gets a solid 11/10 from me.

dont get me wrong, metroid is my fav game series ever, and this is just my as un-biased aspossible oppininion
