hearing reports pardew has been sacked? doubt it be because 8 and a half year contract but that's what i'm hearing

Lol @ Glen Johnson running with the ball and attracting Norwich players like a magnet

When I said last season that Newcastle were not a good team, I knew they wouldn't do well this season but nobody envisaged them to do THIS bad. 8 year contract... da fuck

Probably will jinx them but Cardiff are absolutely on fire in the Championship. Their squad isn't even that much stronger than last year, or even the year before when they missed out on promotion in the play-offs (in fact I'd say their squad is weaker now, they had a really good team that year)... But somehow the wins just keep coming and Cardiff keep scoring goals at the right times, Man-Utd-esque! Good luck to Cardiff, my mum lives there and sorta near the stadium (funny seeing the bluebird logo become a red dragon over the summer...) but yeah would be amazing to see them in the PL and seeing some top teams arrive at the ground.

they have Bellammy...

I'm still extremely pissed off that he left but I can understand why he wanted out. I loved everything about the guy so much. Him, Suarez and Sturrdige would have been my front three.

2 years ago Cardiff had Bellamy, Ramsey, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Bothroyd and Chopra up front; and a really experienced backline that had played together for years. After they didn't make promotion for like the 3rd year in a row they sacked their manager and sold nearly all of that squad. It's not like Cardiff has had much stability in these last two years after getting rid of their best players, the main striker last year was Miller and he went to Canada... This season the squad even looks much different from last season never mind 2 seasons ago, although Bellamy is back. It just really surprises me that they're doing so well, and well done to them and to the manager! I really feared the worst 2 years ago, and even last summer when they changed the home strip and crest out of nowhere...

pardew is the most clueless and tactically inept manager to ever grace the premier league

we rode our luck all through last season - rarely were we actually the better team

also last time we lost to reading at sjp: 1900

would love to see cardiff/swansea in the premiership if only to piss off all the fans who unsuccessfully lobbied over the years to get Celtic/Rangers down here

Thought the Southampton firing was bad? How about Olympiacos firing their manager Leonardo. 45 points through 17 matches, unbeaten, and 10 points clear of 2nd in their league. And he gets fired after struggling to defeat a second division side by a score of 1-0 because the chairman does not like Leonardo's defensive tactics.

I thought Ramires was shit when ancelotti signed him but he's really proven himself to be an outstanding player for chelsea. I don't think any midfielder in the world could offer that combination of pace, power and ability to breeze past opponents.

EDIT: As for Arsenal, Sagna is having a nightmare and Cazorla is nowhere to be seen. Bring on a left winger for Sagna, possibly Arshavin because the Ox and Podolski are not available, move Coquelin (who is also having a nightmare in the middle of the park) to right back and put Cazorla in the middle. He WILL make things happen. You need players in the middle that are able to move the ball forward.

I'm supporting man utd today but i didn't want Van persie to score.. At this rate, Suarez won't win the golden boot, Van persie is just fucking ruthless in front of goal.

Watched like 30 mins of the Chelsea match before I had to go out. It was embarrassing how bad Arsenal were... Sagna was one of our most dependable players last season but ever since that leg break he has looked a different (much worse) player...

I heard second half was much better but a loss is a loss. :(

Cardiff might actually do it this year...

I never ever say they will promote because I just know they will find a way to cock it up, but this year they really seem like they will do it, and if they get to the prem, the Malaysians are willing to step up the funding ten fold to keep cardiff there.

which is hilarious given the short-termism and stupidity of that financial model and their recent debt problems that the malaysians were supposed to save them from :evan:
