Introduction:
So, I made this very saucy team a few months ago after hearing PokeaimMD say *Necrozma* in a really funny way and after
taking one look at this Pokémon I knew I could make it work in OU. This team was somewhat inspired by serperiorr's Reuniclus Darkspam HO,
but instead that green blob is replaced by a much more based pokemon; Necrozma. I've been using this team a lot in casual ladder
and in tournaments like OU SSNL where it preforms quite well, so I thought now is the time I finally showcase it, enjoy.
Necrozma Role: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So this is how Necrozma is able to deal with it's counters defensively, what does it do offensively? Necrozma destroys HO and offensive teams with T-room, webs do not wanna face this guy as the common abusers get thrashed; such as ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ofcourse being realistic Necrozma is still a piss mon and can't really pull off a Shamone goob on it's own, It needs a lot of support from it's teammates to pull that off and you will see how it does that as you continue to read on... |
![]() Set: Necrozma @ Colbur Berry Ability: Prism Armor Tera Type: Fairy EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA Quiet Nature - Photon Geyser - Tera Blast - Earth Power - Trick Room |
Kingambit Role: ![]() ![]() Necrozma beats Gambit checks such as ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The real magic of these two working together happens after T-room is setup, usually late game, if gambit opens up with its counters getting chipped, Necrozma can setup a suicide T-room (if its unable to break) so Gambit can clean up for it; hence it's name, checkmate b*tch. I'll link a few games where this plays out exactly the way its suppose to and often does happen against HO and offensive match ups. |
![]() Set: Kingambit @ Black Glasses Ability: Supreme Overlord Tera Type: Dark EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD Adamant Nature - Swords Dance - Kowtow Cleave - Iron Head - Sucker Punch |
Samurott-Hisui Role: ![]() ![]() It can basically 2HKO most of the meta mons thats not a ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Still not convinced to use ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
![]() Set: Samurott-Hisui @ Choice Band Ability: Sharpness Tera Type: Water EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Ceaseless Edge - Razor Shell - Knock Off - Aqua Jet |
Iron Threads Role: Next the support Pokemon, ![]() ![]() Supports Necrozma and Enamorus by denying entry hazards and is able to check ![]() ![]() ![]() Tera Ghost stops Rapid Spin from Great Tusk or other Iron Treads and gives it an immunity to fighting type attacks, which is also covered by Necrozma. Has Ice spinner to trade with ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
![]() Set: Iron Treads @ Assault Vest Ability: Quark Drive Tera Type: Ghost EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Earthquake - Ice Spinner - Volt Switch - Rapid Spin |
Pecharunt Role: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() For this team you can either use my offensive Nasty Plot set or the standard defensive pivot (both work fine) The nasty plot gives you a free setup on ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Tera Grass might be strange but helps chip ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
![]() Personal Preference: Pecharunt @ Air Balloon Ability: Poison Puppeteer Tera Type: Grass EVs: 184 HP / 72 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Nasty Plot - Malignant Chain - Shadow Ball - Recover | ![]() Alternative Set: Pecharunt @ Heavy-Duty Boots Ability: Poison Puppeteer Tera Type: Ghost EVs: 252 HP / 228 Def / 28 Spe Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Malignant Chain - Hex - Parting Shot - Recover |
Enamorus Role: Standard scarf Enamorus set. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() With Tera Staller she is able to late game sweep once her counters are weakened and spikes are up. Enamorus pairs well with ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
![]() Set: Enamorus @ Choice Scarf Ability: Contrary Tera Type: Stellar EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Modest Nature - Tera Blast - Moonblast - Earth Power - Mystical Fire |
(I thought uploading these images without colour would be funny since Necrozma absorbs light)

GOODBYE EVERYONE!
Thank you for reading, I had a lot of fun making and writing for this team as my first RMT. I'd like to know how
I can improve it/what changes to make and hopefully you guys try this peak out so we can get Necrozma, AND CHOICE BAND SAMUROTT usage up. Also uhhh shoutout to seamen gang
.
Kyurem
:
Kyrem can sometimes be problematic for this team, since nothing really wants to switch-in on the combination of freeze dry + earth power, so it can make you lose momentum most of the time needing to sack something to revenge kill it with
. One thing that definitely helps against Kyurem is the surprise Tera Blast Fairy from
since they never expect it. Other then that
can beat a weakened Kyurem; being able to live 3 ice beams.
Ogerpon
:
is the only way to beat this, so make sure you keep it healthy at all times, if the situation looks bad with Pecharunt weakened then Tera Grass comes in clutch vs pon(trust). Also
is the only thing that out speeds Ogerpon and can KO it if its less and 80%.
Cinderace
:
Cinderace can be very scary for this team (especially if its
). The only thing that wants switch in on it is
and then recover the damage off. Other than that nothing threatens it immediately besides Earth Power from
Also the true way to immediately beat it is by Aqua Jetting from
, but for this to actually happen you gotta get the lead right.
