Introduction:
So, I made this very saucy team a few months ago after hearing PokeaimMD say *Necrozma* in a really funny way and after
taking one look at this Pokémon I knew I could make it work in OU. This team was somewhat inspired by serperiorr's Reuniclus Darkspam HO,
but instead that green blob is replaced by a much more based pokemon; Necrozma. I've been using this team a lot in casual ladder
and in tournaments like OU SSNL where it preforms quite well, so I thought now is the time I finally showcase it, enjoy.

Necrozma
1745854487241.png

Role:
:necrozma:+ :colbur berry: Is the star of this team (literally). With Colbur Berry not only is Necrozma is able to takes 1/2 from dark type attack but the damage is reduced even further with Prism Armor by 1/4 making a dark type attack bounce off Necrozma, without having to resort to exhausting Tera. Meaning Dark Pulse from :darkrai: does less then 30%, Kowtow Cleave from :kingambit: does 29.3 - 34.6%, Crunch from max attack :Zamazenta: does 15.3 - 18.3%, Knock from Ogerpon does 18.8 - 22.1%, while Knock from :iron valiant: does 16.3 - 19.3% and Ceaseless Edge from :samurott-hisui: does 25.8 - 30.6%.

So this is how Necrozma is able to deal with it's counters defensively, what does it do offensively?
Necrozma destroys HO and offensive teams with T-room, webs do not wanna face this guy as the common abusers get thrashed; such as :iron moth:, :iron valiant:, :dragonite:. It's even good into sun teams after roaring moon ban, with :hatterene: getting chipped nothing stops Necrozma from pressuring with T-room to Pokemon like :venusaur:, :great tusk:, and Tera Blast Fairy to deal with :walking wake: and :raging bolt:. Speaking of Tera Blast Fairy it catches :samurott-hisui: and :darkrai: revenge killers off guard, dragon types that expect to beat Necrozma such as :kyurem: or :dragapult: get OHKO by surprise.

Ofcourse being realistic Necrozma is still a piss mon and can't really pull off a Shamone goob on it's own, It needs a lot of support from it's teammates to pull that off and you will see how it does that as you continue to read on...
:necrozma:
Set:
Necrozma @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Prism Armor
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
- Photon Geyser
- Tera Blast
- Earth Power
- Trick Room

Kingambit
1745854905129.png

Role:
:kingambit:and:necrozma: pair very well together by not only covering each others weaknesses but also handle each others counters,
Necrozma beats Gambit checks such as :great tusk:,:weezing-galar:,:dondozo:,:zamazenta: and Gambit returns the favour by threatening :iron crown:,:slowking-galar::garganacl: which otherwise don't let Necrozma make much progress.:kingambit:+ :black glasses: + Tera Dark helps improve stall match up, with only :dondozo: being able to handle it, often forcing tera fighting which can be taken advantage of by Necrozma and Enamorus.

The real magic of these two working together happens after T-room is setup, usually late game, if gambit opens up with its counters getting chipped, Necrozma can setup a suicide T-room (if its unable to break) so Gambit can clean up for it; hence it's name, checkmate b*tch. I'll link a few games where this plays out exactly the way its suppose to and often does happen against HO and offensive match ups.
:kingambit:
Set:
Kingambit @ Black Glasses
Ability: Supreme Overlord
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Kowtow Cleave
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch

Samurott-Hisui
1745854571839.png

Role:
:samurott-hisui:+ :choice band: A very underrated yet powerful Samurott-H set that should see more usage in OU.
It can basically 2HKO most of the meta mons thats not a :weezing galar:,:zamazenta: or :dondozo:. However does have knock off as a good progression making tool if it can't break immediately, and always has ceaseless edge as a low risk move, but this time hits MUCH harder. Really, I can't stress how good this Samurott set is, it's able to snipe almost anything that tries switching in on it; most of the time if your facing a :ting-lu:or:slowking-galar: predict the switch and double out of :necrozma: into Samurott-H so you get free spikes (works 99% of the time) Furthermore, Samurott-H is able to hazard stack so Necrozma switch-in's don't get too comfortable, pairing well with :pecharunt: as a spin blocker and :enamorus:making sure no :corviknight: or :weezing-galar: wants to defog.

1745865678790.png

Still not convinced to use :choice band::samurott-hisui:...? Well have look at these calcs:
:samurott-Hisui: VS :Primarina: 252+ Atk Choice Band Sharpness Samurott-Hisui Ceaseless Edge vs. 80 HP / 0 Def Primarina: 147-173 (45.7 - 53.8%) -- 45.7% chance to 2HKO

Iron Threads
1745854665785.png

Role:
Next the support Pokemon,:Iron treads:+ :assault vest: is another uncommon set but for this team works best.
Supports Necrozma and Enamorus by denying entry hazards and is able to check :raging bolt:,:iron crown:,:gholdengo: etc might trouble Necrozma.
Tera Ghost stops Rapid Spin from Great Tusk or other Iron Treads and gives it an immunity to fighting type attacks, which is also covered by Necrozma.
Has Ice spinner to trade with :dragonite:,:gliscor:,:landorus-therian: which opens up :kingambit: potential sweep. It's able to tank one fiery dance from :iron moth: which this team is already very weak to and KO it back. Overall it's good utility for the team; keeps hazards off, offers volt-switch momentum and helps checks specific Pokemon.
:iron treads:
Set:
Iron Treads @ Assault Vest
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Ice Spinner
- Volt Switch
- Rapid Spin

Pecharunt
1745854708097.png

Role:
:Pecharunt:+ :air balloon:holds this team together as a spin blocker, defensive wall and to threaten pesky fairy types such as :iron valiant:,:clefable:,:hatterene:and:primarina:.
For this team you can either use my offensive Nasty Plot set or the standard defensive pivot (both work fine)
The nasty plot gives you a free setup on :corviknight:, and better helps you 1v1 :great tusk:or:gholdengo:, the bulk allows you to live ice spinner, followed by a headlong rush from Tusk, also allows you to live offensive Shadow Ball from Dengo and your able to survive a Darkpulse from :darkrai:
Tera Grass might be strange but helps chip :ting-lu: (albeit very slowly) and comes in clutch against :iron treads:,:great tusk::landorus-therian:,:dragonite: etc... The only downside with running this is your spin blocker is now gone.
:pecharunt:
Personal Preference:
Pecharunt @ Air Balloon
Ability: Poison Puppeteer
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 184 HP / 72 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Malignant Chain
- Shadow Ball
- Recover
:pecharunt:
Alternative Set:
Pecharunt @ Heavy-Duty Boots

Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 228 Def / 28 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Malignant Chain
- Hex
- Parting Shot
- Recover

Enamorus
1745854744370.png

Role:
Standard scarf Enamorus set.
:enamorus:+ :choice scarf: is the main speed control for this team being able to revenge kill other faster threats such :darkrai:,:dragapult:,:zamazenta:.
With Tera Staller she is able to late game sweep once her counters are weakened and spikes are up.
Enamorus pairs well with :samurott-hisui:+:iron treads:+:pecharunt: as they cover each others weaknesses, Enamorus is able to block defog for Samurott and threaten :corviknight: with mystical fire, while treads helps out by removing rocks.
:enamorus:
Set:
Enamorus @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Contrary
Tera Type: Stellar
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Tera Blast
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Mystical Fire
(I thought uploading these images without colour would be funny since Necrozma absorbs light)

Kyurem:kyurem::
Kyrem can sometimes be problematic for this team, since nothing really wants to switch-in on the combination of freeze dry + earth power, so it can make you lose momentum most of the time needing to sack something to revenge kill it with :enamorus:. One thing that definitely helps against Kyurem is the surprise Tera Blast Fairy from :necrozma: since they never expect it. Other then that :iron treads: can beat a weakened Kyurem; being able to live 3 ice beams.

Ogerpon:ogerpon-wellspring::
:Pecharunt: is the only way to beat this, so make sure you keep it healthy at all times, if the situation looks bad with Pecharunt weakened then Tera Grass comes in clutch vs pon(trust). Also :enamorus: is the only thing that out speeds Ogerpon and can KO it if its less and 80%.

Cinderace:cinderace::
Cinderace can be very scary for this team (especially if its :choice band:). The only thing that wants switch in on it is :Pecharunt: and then recover the damage off. Other than that nothing threatens it immediately besides Earth Power from :enamorus: Also the true way to immediately beat it is by Aqua Jetting from :samurott-hisui:, but for this to actually happen you gotta get the lead right.

:dp/mew: GOODBYE EVERYONE!
Thank you for reading, I had a lot of fun making and writing for this team as my first RMT. I'd like to know how
I can improve it/what changes to make and hopefully you guys try this peak out so we can get Necrozma, AND CHOICE BAND SAMUROTT usage up.

SEA GANG

Congrats on the peak!

I'll start with the star of the show. I have experimented with Necrozma myself in other formats where Ting-Lu cannot put it in timeout. Trick Room works as a standalone sweeper, but I want to propose a better set for it, especially on this team. Fair warning that it is definitely not a typical set, but this team has the perfect support to pull it off in SV OU.

:sv/Necrozma:
Necrozma @ Power Herb
Ability: Prism Armor
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Meteor Beam
- Photon Geyser
- Heat Wave

This set is a hybrid double boosting sweeper set. Ideally, it wants to come in on a slower threat with Power Herb intact for Meteor Beam. Once in battle, it has two boosting options. If it can set up Dragon Dance, it can outspeed Zamazenta and Dragapult at +1 speed. Its other boosting option is Meteor Beam to give it a +1 Special Attack on a one turn chance to lure in the likes of Kyurem, Cinderace, and Ogerpon-W if it has a speed boost, but even Mandibuzz, Moltres, and Heatran all hate taking a Meteor Beam if it doesn't have a +1 boost. From there, Photon Geyser alternates in power based on Necrozma's strongest attack stat. It's also why I chose a Timid nature to ensure Photon Geyser is still a Special attack after one Dragon Dance to target Zamazenta, Pecharunt, and Galarian Weezing. If something like Blissey or Galarian Slowking is a problem, just Dragon Dance twice and Photon Geyser becomes a Physical attack. Heat Wave rounds out your coverage to handle Corviknight, Kingambit, and Gholdengo. Tera Fire boosts Heat Wave, prevents random burns from halving attack, and provides some relief against priority moves from the likes of Sucker Punch and First Impression.

I do have some replays of this working in other formats. The first is a UU Open match against Lily where it enters on turn 27 and performs heroically by Dragon Dancing on Latios, 2HKOing with Heat Wave after it Teras, OHKOing Tornadus-Therian with Meteor Beam and getting a Special Attack boost, and dishing out 59% to Skeledirge with Photon Geyser before falling. The second is an SS OU Smogon Tour match where it would have been in a great position had it hit its Heat Wave against Magnezone on turn 13.

Your current squad has the tools for this set to have a chance in SV OU. The set's biggest obstacle by far is Ting-Lu, which laughs at it, sets up hazards in its face, and Whirlwinds it out before it can do anything. Choice Band Hisuian Samurott is a perfect partner because it can break Ting-Lu as your battle calc prominently shows.

If choosing to incorporate this set, I would switch your Pecharunt to a bulkier pivot set and give the setup role to Necrozma instead. I'll post mine below, but your set as listed would also work. The EVs I use here survive 2 Earthquakes from uninvested Great Tusk (think a Bulk Up set using Booster Energy for +1 speed). Tera Fairy is if you need an emergency survival button against Dragapult, but I have no problem sticking with Tera Grass if that's your style.

:sv/Pecharunt:
Pecharunt @ Leftovers
Ability: Poison Puppeteer
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 248 HP / 80 Def / 180 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Malignant Chain
- Parting Shot
- Hex
- Recover

One final thing to test is Volt Switch over Knock Off on Iron Treads for pivoting out against hairy threats and giving Hisuian Samurott more breaking power if it uses Knock Off. Everything else on the set can stay the same including its nature.

Here's a pokepaste with the new sets incorporated if you want to try it out. I also changed some of the nicks for taste ;).

This team's motto: "Victory is gravity. Defeat is certain."

Thanks! This set looks fun asf I'll definitely try it out for sure, see which one works best in the meta. Also your right about replacing knock for v-switch, it works better in a team like this.
