I was wondering which move is "better"? Can Stealth rock stack like spikes? which one takes more % off of hp?
Stealth Rock does 12.5% to anything that isn't weak against rock and 25% to anything weak against rock. So it's technically better because you only have to put one "layer" down in order to have it do its full damage.
Spikes (25%)+Stealth Rock (12.5%)+Toxic Spikes (Toxic) is hilarious, btw.
Yeah and Taunt + Rapid Spin is pretty hilarious too.
Gliscor and Skarmory take only 12.5%, so it's not every flyer. But close to it, sure.ta11geese3 said:Wow... doesn't that kindna screw over every flyer? So much for switching in on that earthquake...

D/P Research Thread said:Toxic Spikes: The first layer of Toxic Spikes causes normal poison; if a Poison-type [presumably not a Crobat or levitating Poison like Gengar, note that this has not been tested yet], then they will absorb the Toxic Spikes and take them from the battlefield.
does both spikes and stealth rock have the effect on not only your opponent but your pokemon also? So you would get hurt if you switched? havent used those moves at all so trying to strategize a new team with using those.
I didn't say it'd work out every time, just that it's hilarious.
Do you go into topics and tell people Garchomp has a Ice Beam weak btw? Groundbreaking news.
Toxic Spikes being absorbed by poison types is new news to me, and it actually is dumb news. If they're just going to be absorb, there is no freaking point in using them.... Gamefreak likes to make potentially good things but then ruin them with a huge flaw.
