Name of Mod: Apple Region, a.k.a. Pupumons (banner eventually someday maybe)
Mascot: I guess? :P
Link to Changes: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pBJ8SD-BwSduBQL59pLwEAImxMMK1eabrebSmko1OCI/edit?usp=sharing
Summary of the Mod: An OU-esque metagame with only new Pokemon (although there is a dysfunctional and bad Ubers metagame available, if you're into that kinda thing). The Apple Region is just a series of fakemon I've made (as well as some features from some friends) for a hypothetical region, but I'm honestly more interested in the competitive aspect of it haha. There are 44 Pokemon in the metagame right now, many of which have sprites, including some evolved regional forms and a few joke mons, too. More sprites, mons, and potentially items and moves are on the way! We recently added z-moves and some balance changes, and would love for people to come try it out! :D
Competitive Overview: There's a lot of options for mainly offense, although there's also plenty of defensive cores that exist and other utility mons, too! To be honest, the meta is a little hectic and it's sometimes difficult to check everything, but I believe it's still really fun and has plenty of options to try out.
While these may be some of the more prominent competitive mons, there are plenty more to try out, most of which are viable enough to use! Feel free to ask me, or anyone in our Discord server, for any ideas if you need help teambuilding (or if you have any suggestions for new mons or balance changes)!

Ooreina @ Leftovers/Psychium Z
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest/Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Work Up
- Moonblast
- Ballroom Twirl
- Psychic
Ooreina is the region's mythical mon, with 100 base stats around the board. It offers really powerful utility in its coverage, able to sweep a lot of teams after enough chip and a +1 boost to its SpAtk thanks to Speed Boost, especially when it has Psychium. Ballroom Twirl allows it to flip between a Fairy/Fighting and Fairy/Fire typing, both decent offensive and defensive typings, while the move itself also follows Ooreina's secondary typing for a bit of extra fun.

Boxetta @ Choice Band
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Flip Turn
- Aqua Jet
- Liquidation/Thunder Punch
This mon smacks pretty much the whole meta around, although it's held back by its mediocre speed stat. Scrappy and the coverage it has allows it to hit stuff reaaaaally hard as long as you guess right every time, or if you want to catch your opponent off guard, you can also run a Swords Dance set to break fatter walls that want to switch in.

Dragulonimbus @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower
- Draco Meteor
Fast, and really good boltbeam coverage and a powerful neutral move in Draco Meteor. Can be really hard to check in the endgame, but is often held back by some common scarfers and defensive walls that can handicap it with a knock or toxic.

Stampyro @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 196 HP / 240 Def / 72 SpD
Impish Nature
- Fire Punch
- Toxic/Earthquake
- Protect
- Stealth Rock
Fire/Steel with levitate is obviously a fantastic defensive typing - while it doesn't have any consistent recovery, the use of leftovers and protect allows it to last a very long time.

Puddogre @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 204 HP / 68 Def / 236 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Ball/Night Shade
- Spikes/Toxic Spikes
- Pain Split
Pain split offers some amount of recovery to an insanely fat mon (104/128/123 bulk), and it also provides really good utility in having every single damaging hazard available, Trick Room (for a more gimmicky team), and Wisp to stop a lot of physical attackers.

grizzeal @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Wish
- U-turn
- Protect
- Knock Off
Wish passing is really good in this meta since a lot of the bulkier stuff, both offensive or defensive, doesn't have access to or room for consistent recovery. Grizzeal is one of 2 really great passers, with access to Knock Off and Natural Cure to help it be a great pivot and provide even more utility. It also has a very fun Z-Move with Knock Off that is definitely worth trying out!

Amphikits @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
This mon kinda does everything without doing anything too much. Not only is it the fastest (viable) mon in the meta, it also has alright offenses and decent bulk thanks to its mythical 600 BST. It has access to a lot of great coverage, 2 solid abilities in Mold Breaker (where a lot of ability immunities exist) and Poison Heal (for a bit of extra recovery), and even Swords Dance if you want to try out a more offensive set. For even more utility, try out Rapid Spin, Heal Bell, and Flip Turn for plenty of (unstoppable) pivoting.
