SPOILERS! Scarlet & Violet Leaks Thread - Data/Mechanics

If you're counting changing the primary type but keeping the pre-evo's single type somewhere, Ursaring -> Ursaluna already pulls off Normal to Ground/Normal.
There's also Goomy -> Sliggoo-H going Dragon to Steel/Dragon (that much iron in the water?!?), Slowpoke-G going Psychic to Poison/Psychic whenever it evolves, and Gimmighoul -> Gholdengo going Ghost to Steel/Ghost.
On a somewhat similar change-primary-type note, there's Mime Jr. -> Mr. Mime-G going Psychic/Fairy to Ice/Psychic.
No, I mean literally changing types so that you keep neither of your pre-evo types.
Swapping order is whatever, they never had any meaning for what I care. I mean actual full on type change (like A-Marowak going from Ground to Fire/Ghost).
Outside of Eevee, A-wak, and maybe 1 or 2 I may have forgot, every pokemon keeps at least 1 of its pre-evo types on evolution.

Eevee (Normal -> various types) and Swablu (Normal/Flying -> Dragon/Fairy) have done this before.
The only ones I can remind are Altaria and Alolan Marowak, prolly a couple more I may be forgetting, but it's regardless a extremely rare thing.
Altaria is Dragon/Flying not Dragon/Fairy, the Eeveelutions and Alolan Marowak are the only Pokémon to not retain at least one type from the previous stages.

Side note but this irrationally annoys me. Why wasn’t Hoodra Dragon/Steel

You know considering Ogrepon presumably puts the mask on properly while in battle, it's funny how its one of those shinies you wil ljust never know is shiny 98% of the time.

Not that it'll really matter, it'll be years before it ever releases. But it's still funny.

Oh, so all the shinies except Bloodmoon and Dipplin are garbage.

I think the loyal 3 are fine.
Sinistcha's shiny sin lies at its normal counterpart which does the same shtick (only the vessel changes color, and only the part of the pattern that wasn't white).

wow i sure love the new ursaluna form

Okidogi would be fine if the green changed too, but as it is it clashes horribly.
Munkidori and Fezandipiti's would be fine if this wasn't SV. Because, given how badly the "fuzzy" texture used for furry or feathery Pokemon screws up Corviknight and Paldean Tauros's shinies compared to how they are in Home (and SwSh for Corviknight), I'm pretty sure that Munkidori at least will be near indistinguishable in-game.

Datamine leaking while I was out at the gym on campus for workout huh. Looks like I have quite a bit to catch up on.

Seems Poltchageist evolves into Sinistcha. Seems the gimmick truly is that their names are reversed.

The blood moon thing turned out to be an Ursaluna form. And it has a signature move called Blood Moon that is a variation of Tinkaton's Gigaton Hammer, hoo boy more Ursaluna power.

A handful but just a bit that stood out.

Why are people calling Mind's Eye "Scrappy on crack" anyway? Scrappy + Keen Eye isn't really that much better than regular Scrappy.
And it loses the Intimidate immunity so it's more of a sidegrade. Personally I actually feel like Illuminate should have been the ability that deserved getting a builtin Scrappy if they were going to give it Keen Eye anyway, but I have to wonder if Mind's Eye has any implications for being a special Ursaluna.

Wonder if people are mixing it with no guard a bit? Honestly, im more surprised about the fact gamefreak is trying to make ursaluna even better, or at least just go "heres another ursaluna if the other ursaluna didnt fit this niche". Of course, in practice it could end up dogshit, but it's the intent thats making me flabbergasted LOL

Do we know gender ratios yet? Guessing the bloodmoon ursuluna will keep ursaring line ratio and the matcha convergent line will be genderless like sinistea.

Was wondering if orgrepon and the loyal three were genderless or has genders

Assuming it actually lost that aspect.
Even if it should mention it, since Scrappy actually did have its description updated this generation (Keen Eye still hasn't mentioned the evasion aspect for the last 3 generations....), when it comes to abilities mentioning every aspect it can be super hit or miss.
