SPOILERS! Scarlet & Violet Leaks Thread - Data/Mechanics

I assume they just got better about not inserting more data than is needed

now let me take a big sip of water for the next 2 weeks as we wait for the DLC 1 update
I'm mostly excited to see the new expanded TM list

Oh those terrain moves
I thought worldie meant, like. The literal actual Terrain moves and not the tutor moves
Nah I meant the terrain related ones.

People were already in full panic over Grassy Glide Bulu, Expanding Force Lele and Rising Voltage Koko.

Honestly good thing that proved wrong cause uuuh all 3 of these would have been terrifying.

From the clear images and the Ogrepon renders, seems this is coming from someone leaking the Home update early

this actually happened for the SWSH DLC too, it's how we saw the horses and Calyrex's forms early
Didn't know Home updated today

I wonder if BM Ursaluna is just an effective "Paldean Ursaluna" or if we can access both.
Like the association with the blood moon would imply more a form you can do instead of the other, but the dex entry really reads like "no this is the form it takes in Paldea (Kitakami)"

New moves:

- Blood Moon
The user unleashes the full brunt of its spirit from a full moon that shines as red as blood. This move can't be used twice in a row.

- Matcha Gotcha
The user fires a blast of tea that it mixed. The user's HP is restored by up to half the damage taken by the target. This may also leave the target with a burn.

- Syrup Bomb
The user sets off an explosion of sticky candy syrup,
which coats the target and causes the target's Speed stat to drop each turn for three turns.

- Ivy Cudgel
The user strikes with an ivy-wrapped cudgel. This move's type changes depending on the mask worn by the user, and it has a heightened chance of landing a critical hit.

Ursaluna with a gigaton hammer clone lol

e: abilities:
- Mind's Eye (Bloodmoon Ursaluna)
The Pokémon ignores changes to opponents' evasiveness, its accuracy can't be lowered, and it can hit Ghost types with Normal- and Fighting-type moves.

- Supersweet Syrup (Dipplin)
A sickly sweet scent spreads across the field the first time the Pokémon enters a battle, lowering the evasiveness of opposing Pokémon.

- Hospitality (Poltchageist, Sinistcha)
When the Pokémon enters a battle, it showers its ally with hospitality, restoring a small amount of the ally's HP.

- Toxic Chain (Loyal Three)
The power of the Pokémon's toxic chain may badly poison any target the Pokémon hits with a move.

- Embody Aspect (Teal Mask Ogrepon)
The Pokémon's heart fills with memories, causing the Teal Mask to shine and the Pokémon's Speed stat to be boosted.

- Embody Aspect (Hearthflame Mask Ogrepon)
The Pokémon's heart fills with memories, causing the Hearthflame Mask to shine and the Pokémon's Attack stat to be boosted.

- Embody Aspect (Wellspring Mask Ogrepon)
The Pokémon's heart fills with memories, causing the Wellspring Mask to shine and the Pokémon's Sp. Def stat to be boosted.

- Embody Aspect (Cornerstone Mask Ogrepon)
The Pokémon's heart fills with memories, causing the Cornerstone Mask to shine and the Pokémon's Defense stat to be boosted.

Were they just like lol let’s make ursa as broken as possible

yeah it's the stupid x thing. musk i swear...
Ogrepon's dex image. Seems like the titular Teal Mask is exclusive to the story encounter which is interesting. Terastalized forms don't appear to be part of the leak which is interesting.

the new moves

BM Ursaluna is Ground/Steel
the Ogrepons are Rock, Fire, Water. Not actually sure if they're part Grass

- Kitakami Road - Mossui Town - Loyalty Plaza - Reveler’s Road - Kitakami Hall - Oni Mountain - Dreaded Den - Oni’s Maw - Crystal Pool - Oni Mountain Summit - Wistful Fields - Mossfell Confluence - Fellhorn Gorge - Paradise Barrens - Kitakami Wilds - Timeless Woods - Infernal Pass - Chilling Waterhead
list of locations

Neat to see Oni for our Ogre

So it is actually Paldean Ursaluna with a new signature move?
If it's dark/ground and keep same stats and abilities then... Oh lord, that's broken.

Edit: Confirmed Steel/Ground and that makes it even better
Edit 2: Not confirmed. Just Centro doing Centro things.

Cocaine Bear 2: Cocaine Bearer is not what I would have expected given how recently Ursaluna already was. Ground/Steel is a fun typing so I'd be curious to see how this one plays (like is it the type and Sig change or does it move stats around, given how min-maxed a role Ursaluna already had).

The way the rest of Ursaluna-BM is going would either of us be surprised if they just made it stronger and bulkier but even slower. lmao

Interesting that it stands up

not that it wasn't obviously an ursaring evolution before, but especially with the shiny colors and being able to stand, yo ucan really tell now

The concept of being able to give Pokémon new forms, that come with similar changes like a regional form is quite interesting and it means that maybe they can expand a Pokémon’s individual lore without bounding it to a region.

Someone made a point about regional forms being somewhat phased out earlier, and it makes sense if they go down this new route of forms.

Ursaluna’s new form is so bizarre. I was not at all expecting a form for a Pokemon that seems like a regular Pokemon. Pretty surprised GameFreak is shilling Ursaluna.
What’s even more bizarre is the form itself. Like Ursaluna already had a shiny that references Lunar Eclipses. Now it has a new form referencing but now with Middle Schooler Edge. It’s not Lunar Eclipse or Red Moon, it’s Blood Moon and it can see its own darkness like it’s anime anti-hero type.
Additionally it’s Steel/Ground typing is weird since it doesn’t match Teddiursa. Only Mega Altaria and Eeveelutions do something like this. I imagine they do this because Ursaluna is not a Teddy bear any more because he’s so bad ass now (even though Teddy bears are based on Theodore Roosovelt who would easily beat Sasuke).
Honestly one of the weirdest Pokemon imo.

I guess there's not a type change since what's the point of giving boosted scrappy to a thing without stab on normal/fighting?
Also it occurs to me that if it did change types it would probably be normal steel, since the mud -which is what gave it the ground typing before- is now hard as iron.

I'm still hoping that normal Ursaluna is also available because getting Peat Blocks in LA sucks and (knock on wood) it would be nice if it was easier here

Then I can transition into complaining about not being able to shift day to night through resting instead
