Also, I don't see why people are even making a big deal about quadrupedal/bipedal/whatever anyway. No starter has never lost all of their limbs, so what? No starter has even been a snake either. No starter has ever become quadrupedal? So what? There's a first time for everything, it makes Mijumaru's line more distinct from other starters if it's true.

I went to 4chan(first time ever..weird ass site but anyways) In the pokemon section someone posted this and said this is the sprite that was shown to 1 of the web masters as proof. (im not saying i believe it or W/E and im not endorsing this...just simply showing what I find.)

Not just that, but how are sprites better confirmation than say...screenshots, or even just official art. Sprites are the easiest to fabricate out of all three.

So yeah, these are fake in my mind, but the backlash that will come from it should be...impressive. Considering the Internet Hate Machine now has a board entirely for Pokemon fans too, well, that doesn't bode well.

And, of course, I generally don't like Serebii because he's an autistic humourless douche who takes his site and his "reputation" way too seriously - that's from seeing his forum posts myself.

Just spotted that, and I am utterly appalled that this is what's convincing Pokebeach, at the very least, that the evolutions might be legitimate. This sort of thing is something any old schmo could fake. And Serebii supposedly has the same sprites and most likely from the same source as Melkor. I just... ugh.

Yeah its really starting to get to me...earlier i said it wouldn't but its just how childish serebii is acting about it. If someone else were to have posted this making the same claim he did on his forum. It would be less than 5 minutes before he would respond...down the post and delete it saying OMG ITS NOT FAKE STOP POSTING THESE!!" -_____- if he does have all this info and is holding out he needs to put out or shut up imo.

yeah... a sprite is'nt really solid proof of anything. there was another fake a few weeks back that looked legitament but the only thing they faked was the sprite, which they found the next day to be fake.
 
What's even more suspicious is that all the information from the Pokedex is cut out... The JAPANESE. It's gone. Why would you cut out all that stuff but be willing to leak the evolutions in the first place? That seems even more suspicious to me.

You've only got to wait two MFing weeks till all of this is a distant memory. Next you're probably going to be telling us Mamanbou isn't a luvdisc evo.

Of course, they also showed Wild Scizor during the promotion for D/P and that never happened. Nobody can assume anything until we actually get the games and find out for ourselves...
 
So I take it I am not the only one that wants this resolved. Honestly, I would have moved on from this if there was clear cut evidence that shows this is real, but instead this is all based off some "inside information", it just dosn't add up with me.

I kinda want this to turn out fake, cause these evo's are terrible, every single one, and cause it will be so funny to watch the backlash. It's funny how some rumoured starters, that were confirmed fake a couple days ago, has caused so much flaming and drama, but it's annoying that this has dragged on longer than it should have.

You should have been here a while ago. There's quite a bit of speculation about Mamambou not being Luvdisc's evo, hahaha...

I just want this to be done and over with. At this point I don't care if they are fake or real.

Not only was there wild steelix in Diamind, Pearl, AND platinum, you're forgetting that it could be a DW encounter. none of you were complaining when Vaporeon and Leafeon showed up in the wild because it's the DREAM WORLD.

about the whole mamanbou evolving from luvdisc thing... if mamanbou doesn't appear in the isshu pokedex, only then is it a luvdisc evo. otherwise, it is not a luvdisc evo, because you can only obtain isshu pokemon in b/w before obtaining the nat. pokedex.

you've forgotten about geodude, tentacool, zubat and magikarp. They're goddamn perfect attendees. Also, Roselia showed up in the DP dex along with Honchkrow and Mismagius. The same goes for every second gen evo.

Well based on how your doubting every single thing thats not in japanese on the internet, how can we trust that? How do we know that MMbou encounter didn't occur after the player got the national dex?

Honestly, I'm just waiting for Pokemon Gray or something.

not necessarily, remember that in the sinnoh pokedex of DP, there were no new evolutions of old pokemon until platinum. with Mamanbou it might be the same

Errr. I think you're getting a little straw man-y here. I doubt the legitimacy of the starters. That's all.
 
well then if mamanbou is the evo of luvdisc then we might get luvdisc like munchlax. evolving mamabou with a new stone, holding an item, near a specific place, etc. and breed luvdisc from mamanbou with a incense maybe. Although we are able to get incenses, this might be provided once we get the national dex. Also there might be a new method of breeding old generation pokemon.

The text you can see is taken from a screenshot of a quoted post by Filb (or as he calls himself today Buoysel) who runs a website named Filb.de (you might know it), which is normally a very reliable source for Pokémon information, checking and double checking their newsposts to prevent posting something that isn't entirely correct.

Now what Filb is saying is a part from a longer dialog. I'll quickly retell it:

Filb was asked if he had proof for the leaked 5th gen starter evos to be real. He then answered that Serebii send him some evidence and that he can't repost it, because people could lose their jobs because of it. In the picture itself he sais "Serebii has the 'approval' of Nintendo and an image itself.".

So probably someone from inside Nintendo has leaked it and is being protected from losing his job. Lateron Filb added someone maybe redrew the pictures from the sprites and that is the reason they're not in Sugimori style.

No matter which way this goes down, fake or real, its still going down as the biggest debotcher in Pokemon fandom history, from one side or the other. I'm just a war reporter lol.

Yeah... now that filb.de has posted it, there's got to be some real reason to believe, and not just the dinky little sprite there. There's obviously something we don't know about.

Good for him. Problem is, 99% of the Pokemon sites that are created want to be "Serebii's bane" and in the end forget to actually make a decent website

That came from Junichi Masuda, who is the most important guy in Pokemon game developing. He's the Eiji Aonuma of Pokemon.
