Official NBA 2011-12 Season Thread

I have a problem with this post because it sounds like something Lebron himself would say. It's never Lebron's fault, people just babied him so it's their fault he's like this. It's not Lebron's fault people don't like him, they're just haters. It's not Lebron's fault he missed that shot, it was the ref's fault so he needs to yell at the ref and wave his hands around his whole trip up the court.

At some point we have to accept the reality that he is a 28 year old adult with thoughts of his own that drive him to doing/saying very unlikable things on and off the court. This post is mostly directed at Byrne because he's acting like Skip Bayless Tebow-superfan lalalaicanthearyou but CK's post just struck me the wrong way so I quoted him instead.

And the only legitimate "unlikable things" any of you can think of are three mistakes, where only two were actually serious and one of those was a legitimate comeback against everyone's unfounded hatred. LeBron hardly complains about calls that badly. He basically never gets technicals. Go take a look at your boy Kevin Garnett for someone that REALLY flops and complains like a little bitch.

And lol I'm actually addressing everything people are saying. Nothing like Skip Bayless.

this... is a pointless argument.

you haters are waking up to your same problems anyways :P

soo tonight could be the night that the thunder win the nba championship. can't wait

JackieChun, literally every complaint you just listed would not be happening with a good coach. I agree with some of the points you made, but it has nothing to do with arrogance. It's coaching.

Agreed. With any team that has a bad mentality towards the game(or really anything you look at in life), you have to look at the leadership and it starts there. If Phil or any other great coach was coaching, this would not be an issue.

Guess we'll have to wait until game 6, but I really don't see Spo and his Miami Heat getting the mentality that they needed since last year in less than 48 hours. It just doesn't happen over 2 nights.

I have publicly condemned Lebron every step of the way since "The Decision" debacle, so I would like to think I am not coming up with something Lebron would claim. I think Lebron would more just claim he never did anything wrong, made the best decisions he could, et cetera. Although he clearly did not.

what does that have to do with anything I said? He flops and dives, whines to the refs, is an arrogant asshole, and he has no integrity or class for the game. (watch the video posted earlier on this page) No I don't live in Cleveland or give a shit about the Cavs or Heat.

It has everything to do with it, assface. The article goes on about how LeBron's integrity for the game is significantly more than almost anyone in the game of basketball. Everything he does is the complete opposite of arrogance and being an asshole. He hardly flops, he doesn't whine, he is one of the least selfish superstars in existence. When's the last time LeBron was accused of rape? The last time he elbowed someone in the face? Hell, has he ever caused harm to anyone in any way? How about when is the last time he cheated on his wife or was caught drunk driving?

Go watch game four of this series, there's an instance where Rondo hits the court hard. LeBron helps him up. I have literally never seen any other professional basketball player do this in the playoffs. Get your head out of your ass, along with everyone else that tries to call him an asshole when there is literally zero evidence of it.

loling

except for the "he never gets technicals" part. that part is actually true because the refs favor him so blatantly. Doc Rivers gets T'd up for saying "come on, Eddie" while Lebron gets to throw a temper tantrum on the ground with no recourse.

in other news,

rondo has bigger hands than someone yao mings size.

obviously they are why he is one of the best PGs if not the best PG in the league. we should talk about that rather than argue about the intentions of someone that we don't know!!

All athletes are childish. Why it's a surprise to anyone when they're vocally childish is naive.

Lebron James is even still less childish and immature than most, and his actions are the least bit disrespectful in my view. Again, my view may be biased because I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW LITTLE I KNOW OF BASKETBALL, but I think he's fine. I respect him, and when the Celtics are old and withered and have to use walkers while on the court, I hope he goes out and gets stupid amounts of Championships, because his level of talent and Basketball ability deserves it.

For fuck's sake fire Spoelstra.

okc will still win. i can see itttttttttttttt

most continuation i've ever seen for a potential and 1.

steven jackson....

Look at it this way: without "The Decision", this thread would have been 50 pages shorter! *boring

Lol at mi Thunder. P-A-R-K-E-R is rolling!

A 21-10-3 with more steals than turnovers and fouls at that lol...Tony Parker already had a full game and has two full quarters to go.
