At a Glance:
It has always been my pokemon policy to have only one team at a time. At the start of Generation 5 it was a balanced team very similar to my 4th generation team. After being mercilessly abused by sand and rain, I realized that if I couldn't beat weather I would join it. Unfortunately, sand and rain have annoying and ugly summoners so I chose sun. Even this change required sacrifices. I have been unable to find a way to fit my dear favorite pokemon, Typhlosion, on the team. I recently ranked 41 on the smogon server with this team, so I guess it's fairly decent.
In Depth:
Mienshao @ life orb
Naive
Regeneration
252 Speed / 160 Attack / 92 Special Attack
Also, I don't usually condone the use of life orb as it is very abusive, but Mienshao's regeneration convinces me to look the other way -- JUST THIS ONCE.
Edit: After viewing the Mienshao thread, I realized my HP Ice Mienshao isn't so original. I pledge my honor I'd never seen another /:
Dragonite @ lum berry
Adamant
Multi-Scale
60 HP / 56 Defense / 232 Speed / 160 Attack
Venusaur @ Black Sludge
Modest
Chlorophyll
220 Speed/ 216 Special Attack / 72 Defense
Ninetales @ Balloon
Timid
Drought
252 Special Attack / 252 Speed / 6 HP
Sawsbuck @ lum berry
Adamant
Chlorophyll
252 Attack / 252 Speed / 6 HP
PS: As soon as Flash Fire Typhlosion is released, this sucker is OUT OF HERE.
Espeon @ Expert Belt
Timid
Magic Mirror
252 Speed / 180 Special Attack / 78 HP
It is the goal of this team to set up the sun and sweep. I have, however, attempted to make it plausible outside of the sun. Each pokemon on my team poses at least some kind of threat outside of the sun, and even in adverse weathers.
Thank you kindly for reading all the way through this. Please rate with numbers as well as comments. I hate it when people just make some lame comments without numbers. This team has some nasty threats as well. Latios, Heatran, and Blaziken are all capable of sweeping my entire team if I'm not careful. EV suggestions are great too since, as I said, I don't like to mix math and pokemon myself.
