Started off with mega gallade an excellent mega choice due to it has ability to set up, bulk and speed, as well as nice coverage.
Early on I realize that talonflame and mega mence annoy my team and gallade a lot along with other pokemon. Rotom-W which walls talon and is bulky enough to severely cripple m mence with burn while taking a +1 dragon Claw. Many mence centered-teams are absolutely crippled without mence so it is a good option. Also bisharp annoys the heck out of this team so it is good for burning and destroying physical sweepers
TalonFlame
Priority Brave Bird is an absolute saver as well as if it switches in to something like keld.
Landorus-T
For a nice scarfed sweeper and intimidate is nice especially if it is to finish off mence as well as using
Cresselia
Sets up Dual Screens, Lunar Dance Support for Gallade, and special Wall
Latios
Special Sweeper, Defog support. You need to run Dazzling Gleam rather than surf as Mega Sabe wrecks.

Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Drain Punch
- Zen Headbutt
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
Gallade has a very nice dual STAB that hits almost everything super effectively. It has incredible stats. It is fast, bulky somewhat and can set up. Standard Fast Physical Sweeper spread so it can hit first. Drain Punch was chosen over Close Combat due to that Gallade sets up as well and drain punch increases the time it can stay in. Zen Headbutt is STAB and coverage with Knock Off to deal with Psychic types who resist both of Gallade's STABs. A problem would be something like Gardevoir which only takes
252+ Atk Mega-Gallade Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Gardevoir: 132-156 (47.6 - 56.3%) -- 84.8% chance to 2HKO
Meaning threats that wall Gallade or have priority should be taken out prior to Gallade entering to set up. Ferro can also be a problem with iron barbs and rocky helmet.
This leads us to talonflame
Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 88 HP / 252 Atk / 168 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Roost
Talonflame is important to the team to take out common gallade walls and it is fast, hits hard, and with proper prediction even set up. It's priority Brave Bird is something that places it beyond others with dealing with the very common gren, weakened mence, and Mega Gard. It can take out many threats to this team. Roost is nice for recovery, SD for set up, Brave Bird, and Flare Blitz is trivial for reasoning. It can hit hard and fast which is good for my team. Switching it in to certain threats make it have the ability to set up and do even more nasty damage. It is walled by Heatran and Rotom-W so it shouldn't come out and set up if the opponent has one of the two still in.
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
Rotom-W is bulky and is very nice utility on a team. It cripples sweepers with WoW and overly confident mega mence users with dragon claw and not Return / Sub / Roost / DD tend to try Dragon Claw making a perfect chance to destroy it with WoW removing a huge hazard swiftly.
252+ Atk Mega-Salamence Dragon Claw vs. 252 HP / 212+ Def Rotom-W: 138-163 (45.3 - 53.6%) -- 1.2% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
and this is after DD. This is completely amazing to do when an over confident trainer with mence tries to blindly attack Rotom-W. With this said, you need to keep rotom-W alive so you can deal with Return / Sub / Roost / DD mence which will switch out immediately after you switch in with rotom.
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off
- U-turn
Like it or not Lando is a serious threat in OU. And on my team it can be beastly when taking out threats to Gallade. It smashes past many threats and is good with switches. Choice Scarf set takes advantage of it's decent speed and makes it fast enough to outspeed several threats. Not much to say as it's role is pretty clear about what it is to do.
Cresselia (F) @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Lunar Dance
- Light Screen
- Psyshock
- Reflect
I needed support for my team as well as a special Wall. Cresselia does both very well. It can set up dual screens early and even bring out Mega Mence nicely. Psyshock deals with gengar and threats to my team if gallade is lost and lunar dance is, to most opponents' annoyance, to bring back a weakened gallade which can happen due to wear as it tries to attack. Dual Screens are also good to let gard set up while protected even letting Gallade survive Talon Brave Bird
252 Atk Sharp Beak Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega-Gallade: 194-230 (70 - 83%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
with Reflect of course
Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
- Defog
I need to switch around a lot so naturally entry hazards are a problem so LO Latios is a great defogger and special Sweeper. It deals with a severe team weakness to Mega Sabe with devastating Draco Meteor which few can safely switch into which is always good. Psyshock is for annoyances and special walls that love to switch in. Draco Meteor tends to take care of dragons and it baits in Salamence nicely. HP Fire wrecks scizor who loves to try to either U-turn or Pursuit.
252 SpA Life Orb Latios Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega-Sableye: 246-290 (102 - 120.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Latios Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 252 SpD Sableye: 199-235 (82.5 - 97.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Overall this is my first planned out ORAS Team that I think this introduces a few ideas worth considering. Personally I think that maybe running Mence instead of Gallade could run really good on this team, but I want opinions before I tweak anything. I made sure that this team could hit hard without Gallade.
