Pet Mod GlaceMons - Playtesting; OU is done! | Please read Post #540!

Been almost a week and a half, but here are the survey results! Unfortunately, there was a more detailed draft in my sandbox but it got deleted because of some weird log-in issues, so it'll just be a brief showcase of the scores and what will be changing because of them.

Tiering and Progress
This is the part where there's no specific buff or nerf, but more so just a piece about how things are going. In the future, there'll be more tournaments for playtesting and transparency about decisions in the future. The submission process for this slate will be a lot more stricter than the last ones, as we are coming into the end of the OU part of things real soon; only two slates left! Thank you for filling the survey out, and here's the long awaited submission slate!
And also, we aren't unbanning Mega Gengar, Lucario, or Metagross. Mega Metagross possibly, but the tiering we want to follow doesn't allow it to be down here.

:regice: Slate 9 :mew:

If an element is resubmitted, mark it as a re-submission by using the tag [Re-sub] as needed. Please, listen to my warning about making adjustments and such and keep the guide that Gekokeso made in mind while submitting elements for this Pet Mod. At the end of the day we want quality, viable, and enjoyable new things to play with so let's try to make sure we have all of that!

The maximum number of submissions you can make per category is three! Submissions end on Friday night GMT -5, vetoes will happen a day before. This is the last slate before our second playtesting session as well, so stay tuned!

Fine, this change works, i wished this was nerfed via distribution but i am not that against it. I feel bad for the other fighting types that were lost as a casualty and i wish i fought for the distrib nerf to be done more...
:tr01: Tera Starstorm
100 BP -> 120 BP
Good, terapagos is good in base nat dex so curious how it does rn, it did well in slate 1-2 before we introduced zygarde-c on steroids

Tbh, i am unsure what this may do.. i feel this is just making it clearer or maybe visually available for the opponent. Idk i think this change has no effect to its viability
:shaymin-sky: Aerodynamism

Sand immunity is always nice, shaymin-s is gonna be eating

So lefties healing is nice for it. Helps stuff lkie BU ursaluna (need to check other users)

Sounds very interesting esp to sweepers like kartana, iron hands, kingambit, wellspring, etc. Sounds interesting

I think this is interesting, esp to normal moves or dragon moves who have a lot of resists and it can ignore abilities which is nice
:clawitzer: Fried Rice

This sounds nice, clawitzer is back to spamming 120 BP water pulse
Adjustments
:kangaskhan: Kangaskhan

:nihilego: Nihilego
+Tinted Lens
-Liquid Body, -Petroleum Blast
This one im a bit curious about. Nihilego wasnt top tier or overperforming in any test games and even choice specs sets. THis change feels very out of place compared to the other changes made here
:pecharunt:
-Infernal Parade
Haha, yeah... this thing was infinitely irritating esp against steels since it can have a 19 - 41% chance to burn u with a move that is very hard to switch into
:drapion:

Lets goo tank drapion incomming

Wo chien def needed smth, I think with CM and having a great ability to make it so allows it to potentially be a great cleaner esp on bulky teams

Pikachu world is now having espeed + aerialite which sounds strong but without tough claws lets see how strong it is

I rate this "Why nihilego" / Good enough

7/10 patch (its good)

Name: :silver powder:Silver Powder
Effect: If held by a Bug-type, the user is immune to entry hazards and raises Atk, Def and SpA by x1.2.
Can Be Knocked Off (Yes or No): Yes
Ignored by Klutz (Yes or No): Yes
Fling Power & Effect: Same as before
Justification: With all of the viable Bug-types in the tier but :volcarona:, :genesect:, and :golisopod: already being bound to an item slot, this takes advantage of that to diversify the metagame, while also letting the before-mentioned ones keep up with the increase of the power level of the metagame.

Name: :Protector:Protector
Effect: User's SpD is doubled, but it can only use moves of the same type as itself. Self-announces on switch-in.
Can Be Knocked Off (Yes or No): Yes
Ignored by Klutz (Yes or No): Yes
Fling Power & Effect: Same as before
Justification: Gives a more defensively oriented niche to Pokemon such as :steelix:, :swampert:, :toxapex:, :kingambit: and :sinistcha: in exchange of passivity. Other Pokemon like :obstagoon:, :zapdos:, :tapu lele: and :bewear:, can instead use it to find setup opportunities.

:leafeon: Sacred Sword, Bulk Up, Flex Off, Close Combat, Night Slash, Strength Sap
:sylveon: Sonic Boom, Nasty Plot, Hex, Ominous Wind, Infernal Parade
Removed Moves: None
Justification: With :glaceon:Glaceon and :umbreon:Umbreon already getting the spotlight, I think it'd be fair to also buff the other Eeveelutions so everyone's favorite can shine in the tier. :vaporeon:Vaporeon is either a weather setter or an anti-rain pick in itself, :flareon:Flareon, :jolteon:Jolteon and :espeon:Espeon take defensive abilities and given them an offensive spin with their stats and moveset, and then there's :leafeon:Leafeon and :sylveon:Sylveon as wallbreakers with a good matchup against offense thanks to their utility while also retaining passable bulk in one side.

Abilities: :tapu bulu:Grassy Surge / Shell Armor (Flower Veil), :tapu fini:Misty Surge / Shell Armor (Comatose), :tapu koko:Electric Surge / Shell Armor (Shield Dust), :tapu lele: Psychic Surge / Shell Armor (Telepathy)
:tapu bulu:Grassy Glide, Alluring Voice, Trailblaze, Knock Off, U-turn, Play Rough, Stealth Rock
:tapu fini:Moonlight, Flip Turn, Alluring Voice, Misty Explosion, Terrain Pulse
:tapu lele:Mental Gymnastics, Synchronoise
:tapu koko:Parabolic Charge, Rapid Spin
Removed Moves: None
Justification: Stops :tapu bulu:Tapu Bulu from being a budget :rillaboom:Rillaboom and can now actually pressure Dragon-type checks with its Fairy STAB. As for :tapu fini:Tapu Fini, access to reliable recovery and pivoting reduces its longevity and momentum issues a considerable amount, with Misty Surge notably blocking all Poison Heal users but :gliscor:Gliscor (which doesn't want to come into :tapu fini:Tapu Fini) from triggering their ability while also easing the matchup against bulky teams by blocking status for its allies. :tapu koko:Tapu Koko and :tapu lele:Tapu Lele have more situational buffs, which is fine as they are already decent, but given the power creep has been starting to catch them a bit, they still get minor extra utilities, with :tapu lele:Tapu Lele getting minimal tools to use bulkier sets, and :tapu Koko:Tapu Koko having less longevity issues and slightly easier matchups against offense.
For Ubers, :tapu bulu:Tapu Bulu is an anti-meta Pokemon that absorbs status and counters :zygarde:Zygarde, while also checking foes like :Arceus-ground:Arceus-Ground, :smeargle:Smeargle, and :marshadow:Marshadow. Its Dragon-type immunity also prevents it from being phazed as easily, and its STAB combination keeps pressure on several Dragon-types in the tier as well as :kyogre-primal:Primal Kyogre and :alomomola:Alomomola, but in turn it's limited by a vulnerability to Poison-types (which include :eternatus:Eternatus and :fezandipiti:Fezandipiti) and most notably :groudon-primal:Primal Groudon.

Regarding :tapu fini:Tapu Fini, in Ubers, Comatose lets it stand up to the Calm Mind :arceus:Arceus formes with Taunt and :yveltal:Yveltal and pressure them in return by stealing momentum with Flip Turn and pressuring them with Octazooka and Toxic, having a way better matchup against :zygarde:Zygarde than :Fezandipiti:Fezandipiti by being immune to Glare and easily punishing it with Alluring Voice.
Name: Tera Blast
Power: As before
Accuracy: As before
PP: As before
Category: As before
Type: As before
Effect: As before
Priority: 0
Flags: As before
Potential Pokémon With This Move: All of them but those that don't get universal TMs (if possible remove it from :Zacian-crowned:Zacian-C however for the purposes of Glace Ubers)
Justification: Broadens the metagame by letting everything make the most of Legend Plate, namely regarding dexit'd species from SV

Balance Patch Review

:tr07: Flex Off: still think granting the higher of the 2 stats +1 and the other +2 wouldve been neat, but otherwise good change

:tr01: Tera Starstorm: not much to say, good change

:rhyperior: :cloyster: :ogerpon: :protector: Battle Armor/Shell Armor/Super Luck/Knight's Armor: good reverts, never particularly agreed with them getting nerfed in the first place

:smeargle: Moody: making it announce itself is a good cautionary change, but idt this will change the viability of moody mons much, for better or for worse.

:shaymin-sky: Aerodynamism: appreciate the added continuity with wind rider/power, thought tailwind and sandstorm still arent the greatest

:ursaluna: Honey Gather: ok ik this ability was aggressively mid b4, but a honey gather gigabuff wasnt exactly on the nonexistent bingo card for this patch. makes sense though, as the only viable user of it is ursaluna, and giving it smth to help it stand out against obstagoon and make it a bit better into macho brace mons, is a neat change, although time will tell if this is enough to make ursaluna able to break into being a B tier mon

:alakazam: Nostalgia Trip: deserved change, though to me, it only furthers the feeling that mons with the ability need to serve a very specific role to be good, although this change gives it a fighting chance at doing so imo. wonder if we'll see anyone cook with this soon

:honey: Honey: feels like more of a honey gather buff, rather than a honey buff, but otherwise good change

:metal coat: Engine Breaker: good change, but imo idt it would be too broken to make it also ignore type matchups once, similar to abilities/moves/items, since it most likely will only ever amount to letting mons that just want to get off 1 spin do so more consistently, or buffing outrage

:clawitzer: Fried Rice: TDLoriat ur goat has been buffed, and will probably be decent, please calm down about clawitzer now

:kangaskhan:Kangaskhan: mon is no longer dead in the water

:nihilego: Nihilego: not quite sure what removing petroleum blast does for the meta, otherwise good revert

:pecharunt: Pecharunt: luck is a skill, so if u get burnt by 5 hit infernal parade, thats on u. jokes aside, glad to see the hax demon be slightly less infuriating

:drapion: Drapion: oh hey look another gigabuff. uturn/spikes/battle armor are some generically good changes, tho what im interested in is wicked blow, could be a very neat tool to combat idbp/amnesia gymnastics mons (although idt ive seen any of the latter, due to special psychic moves having a lot of competition, and cm having a lot more competition with amnesia, than bu with id)

:wo-chien: Wo-Chien: very interesting change, making it go from a wall to a tank, and more ways to deal with status is good to see rn imo

:pikachu: Pikachu: glad to see these guys get a bit more viable, although they are probs B tier at best

Metagame Predictions
:landorus-therian: Landorus-Therian: while not straight up broken like it was b4, i wouldnt be surprised to see this guy still be on like 33-50% of all teams, setup/eq/zehpyr/filler is still great, and quicksand/turn/filler/filler is still a great upgrade to vanilla pivot lando

:tyranitar: Sand: having skymin with no chip makes sand a bit more real, and banded archeops would be really funny to explore on the archetype imo. still niche, but a buff is a buff (right at the end of writing i realized aerodynamism doesnt increase speed in sand, so take this section with a grain of salt)

:aegislash-blade: Swords Dance: no longer being outclassed by flex off makes sd a far more real option, even on mons who have flex off. doubling attack with no drawbacks is just that good

ill probs get my subs in tommorow, and do another personal vr about halfway thru playtesting, tho this is it for me rn (at least regarding forum posting)

also thought i would have more meta predictions, which is why that section is so short

I'll post actual submissions come Wednesday (especially since the Tapus surprisingly already gotten taken by someone else).

HIATUS ADJUSMENTS REACTIONS:
MOVES:
01. Flex Off:
Having advocated for this route even I imagine it will still be broken on at least :landorus-therian: Landorus-Therian who weirdly got to keep it, I'm fine with seeing how it shakes out. At least it's no longer obviating Swords Dance while not being obviated back.

02. Tera Starstorm: I guess we'll see how regular :terapagos: Terapagos shapes out now that its busted Stellar form has been banished.

ABILITIES:
03. Battle Armor/Shell Armor
: Glad to see it reverted.

04. Super Luck: See above.

05. Moody: Nice to have warning of it now, though really the big change was taking it away from :iron valiant: Iron Valiant's overpowered self.

06. Aerodynamism: Beyond making it more in line with the other Wind abilities so far, this is a nice buff to Sand (that I didn't even have to advocate for) between the already powerful mons that have it--though amusingly :shaymin-sky: Skymin's borderline busted self might want to keep Wind Power in Sand--and moving :pidgeot-mega: Pidgeot-Mega towards being a Sand-oriented Mega now without shackling to that given its access to Squall.

07. Honey Gather: Nice to see this usable now, even if only like two mons that have it are usable in general in the form of :ursaluna: Ursaluna and :heracross: Heracross, the latter of which can't even use it with its Mega--whomp whomp. :vespiquen: Vespiquen could maybe make use of it, but that poor thing needs way bigger buffs than what it's gotten so far in this mod; :bewear: Bewear could have may been a nice user with this replacing Unnerve though I doubt it would use it over Triage now. Maybe :kangaskhan: Kangaskhan or even :pangoro: Pangoro could be good users? Hmmm....

08. Nostalgia Trip: The most interesting change to me despite the extremely limited number of mons that have it. :salamence: Salamence likely benefits the most between all of its weaknesses save for Rock--so Ice (x4), Dragon, and Fairy--becoming Special-oriented and it having the most bulk in general of the four. It's nice for :aerodactyl: Aerodactyl(-Mega) in Sand though given three of its weaknesses end up having to hit its Sand-buffed SpD, though :aerodactyl-mega: Aerodactyl-Mega still really wants Petroleum Blast for Nostalgia Trip to be worth using in its Mega form. This could help :alakazam: Alakazam potentially survive Pursuit, but no one's really using that thing as it is, and if they are then they're not giving up Magic Guard, especially since it becomes even weaker to Bug and Ghost due to its terrible Defense. :houndoom-mega: Houndoom-Mega is basically the opposite of Salamence where its weaknesses mostly become even more Physical, so it could be good with Burn support like how Nostalgia Trip Salamence would like Frostbite support. Shrug.

ITEMS:
09. Knight's Armor:
Nice to see it reverted.

10. Honey: See above, though this is probably still only usable with Honey Gather at present.

11. Engine Breaker: The biggest change of the patch arguably since this thing was straight up unusable before. Now it tells Air Balloon users to go Hell among other things, which is a nice chance if still niche. (Still more than Cursed Branch, to a lesser degree Safety Googles, and especially Crystal Crown have though.)

12. Fried Rice: Nice to see this functional now and easier to comprehend even as someone still not terribly fond of it.

MONS:
13. :kangaskhan: Kangaskhan:
Well nice to see it keep Headlong Rush even though it feels a bit lame--especially as my only mon to win so far--for it to have ended up the only mon to lose Flex Off now while Landorus-Therian got to keep it. Oh well.

14. :nihilego: Nihilego: Weird to see it lose Petroleum Blast since it doesn't seem to have been busted with it (and since if anything I would like to see Petroleum Blast on more mons not fewer), but oh well.

15. :pecharunt: Pecharunt: This loss, compared to the above two, definitely feels justified though despite not having see Pecharunt personally either. If anything, then I'm actually a bit surprised this wasn't nerfed more given how annoying I've heard Poison Puppeteer unsurprisingly be in passing. It's a start though.

16. :drapion: Drapion: Nice to see these buffs, especially since I thought it should have kept Battle Armor from the beginning, which would have made it losing Power Trip feel more justified. I wasn't expecting Wicked Blow either, but I'll definitely take it.

17. :wo-chien: Wo-Chien: A bit telling that this mon was/is still having trouble standing out despite already arguably being the most buffed mon on this list save for the Pikachus, but I guess it needed it--I haven't seen it all either, and if I wanted to use a Dark/Ghost tank, then :spiritomb: Spiritomb the Sinistrous and :sableye-mega: Sableye-Mega were like right there.

18. :pikachu: Pika & Pals: Huh. This was a weird way to realize that the non-regular Pikachus didn't already have Curse. Otherwise, these buffs at glance seem like they benefit regular Pikachu and :pikachu-world: Pikachu-World just given how much Extreme Speed alone benefits those two between STAB & Tough Claws for the former and Aerilate giving you STAB Flying Extreme Speed for the latter; maybe there's also some world where Stall teams can make use of Aerilate Seismic Toss. :pikachu-original: Pikachu-Original likely does really like at least Yawn though given Run It Back.

Effect: Misses against non grounded Pokémon. Has a 30% Chance to lower their Attack and Defense by 1. If the opposing pokemon has lost its immunity to Ground-type attacks(via smack down) then it takes 2x damage
Priority: 0
Flags (ex: Contact, Sound): Contact
Potential Pokémon With This Move:
Low Sweep: A lot of fighting types
Breaking Swipe: TO dragon types + tail mons, and mons who will appreciate smack down + synergy with this

Justification:
Name: Expert Belt
Effect: Holder's attacks that are super effective against the target do 1.2x damage. If your super effective attacks hits a target, then your next attack does 1.2x damage regardless.
Can Be Knocked Off (Yes or No): Yes
Ignored by Klutz (Yes or No): Yes
Fling Power & Effect: 10 & Makes Opponent weak to all attacks
Justification: Expert belt is def outclassed nowadays (more so by indecisive orb) SO i made this be more good at exposing and expoliting weaknesses of the opposing pokemon, when you hit a weakness you can not strike them for more dmg and it also means you can more easily get rewarded for good prediction
Name: Gulp Missle
Effect: If this Pokemon is a Cramorant it takes 1/3 less damage if it is in its Gouging or Gulping form, it changes forme when it hits a target with a Water or Flying type move successfully, then it heals 1/8 of its max HP. It becomes Gulping Form with an Arrokuda in its mouth if it has more than 1/2 of its maximum HP remaining, or Gorging Form with a Pikachu in its mouth if it has 1/2 or less of its maximum HP remaining. If Cramorant gets hit in Gulping or Gorging Form, it spits the Arrokuda or Pikachu at its attacker, even if it has no HP remaining. The projectile deals damage equal to 1/4 of the target's maximum HP, rounded down; this damage is blocked by the Magic Guard Ability but not by a substitute. An Arrokuda also lowers the target's Defense and Special Defense by 1 stage, and a Pikachu also lower's the targets speed by 2 stages. Cramorant will return to normal if it spits out a projectile, switches out, or Dynamaxes.
Permanent (Yes or No): Yes
Mold Breaker (Yes or No): No
Potential Pokémon With This Ability: :cramorant::pmd/cramorant::cramorant:
Justification: Cram can become super tanky with this, healing and having DR in its transformed form allows it to do some crazy stuff... but this is a cramorant, so these changes allow it to stick around, it can defog, it can roost up while its in this form. By making these changes it means cramorant can now use any flying type move like defog or roost to transform. This would allow it to be much more reliable at forcing progress. This cramorant fits on bulkier teams where it can bully mons by constantly reloading on missles via spamming roost

Name: Northern MIst
Effect: On switch in, creates mist. When the user is under Mist the user is immune to secondary effects and takes 2/3 damage from non contact moves
Permanent (Yes or No): No
Mold Breaker (Yes or No): Yes
Potential Pokémon With This Ability: :suicune::walking wake::articuno::chien pao::cryogonal::lugia::piloswine::ninetales-alola::milotic::cresselia::empoleon::alomomola::dondozo::tatsugiri::toxapex::primarina::tentacruel::golisopod::mantine:
Justification: This gives a lot of utility to a team, mist by default makes you less prone to stat drops and this can be useful against things like gravel grater, luster purge, or shadow ball def drops. But this gives a lot of utility to itself as it can nullify a lot of secondary effects and take less damage. This allows pokemon like mantine, suicune, articuno, milotic, empoleon, dondozo to take less damage and be more durable
:pmd/zarude-dada:
Name: Zarude
Type: Grass / Dark
Abilities: Route Closed / Flower Veil / Adaptability
New Moves: Slack Off, Night Slash, Stone Edge, Parting Shot, Earthquake, Land's Wrath
Removed Moves:
Justification: Zarude generally has 3 pretty big weaknesses, a big u-turn weakness, lack of power, and generally jungle healing is underwhelming as healing compared to stuff like synthesis or slack off. So trying to target them while still making him not broken hopefully. With route closed you can solve the weakness of u-turn, allowing urself to take advantage of landorus, genesect (potentially), tangrowth flip turn, tapu koko, gliscor, tauros, meow, etc. Another change is the addition of flower veil + slack off, these allow zarude to use a more bulkier set and take advantage of stuff like SD or Bulk Up to setup without fearing status. Last is adaptability, with it zarude can have power on choice scarf sets or be stronger with setup and be less passive when running bulk

:pmd/glalie::pmd/glalie-mega:
Name: Glalie
Type: Ice / Steel, Ice / Water
Abilities: Route Closed / Ice Body / Moody, Refrigerate
New Moves: Liquidation, Wave Crash, Scald, Flip Turn, Surf, Whirlpool, Triple Dive, Caltrops, Close Combat, Calm Mind, Bulk Up, Parting Shot, U-Turn, Hyper Voice, Tri Attack, Iron Head, Flash Cannon, Heavy Slam, Extreme Speed, Octazooka
Removed Moves:
Justification: With a water ice typing, glalie poses a much bigger threat to teams, esp with a movepool consisting of hydro pump + freeze dry which is a very broken coverage that iron bundle had. With this it can threaten them quite well and with tools such as moody to make it be even stronger, ice body to nullify the ice weakness or use refrigerate to toss out dangerous tri attacks or -ate espeeds

Justification: We lack options for a reliable Physical Psychic-type move (at the moment, we only have Brain Buster, but that carries its own flaws {ex. low PP, lowering stats which for any non-Contrary mon isn't a plus}), so I brought back Alakazam's former signature move into an inverted Psychic-type Acrobatics.

Name: Imprison
Power: -

If the target Pokémon is part Fire-type, inflicts 1/8 of the target's maximum HP as damage per turn. The Powder effect is removed when the affected Pokémon switches out.

Justification: Right, so despite realistically only being able to be super effective against two of its three matchups, it does help block Fire-types, which many of the potential mons - which I've given based on the powder moves they can learn - need.
Name: Soul Link
Effect: If the user takes any indirect damage (everything blocked by Magic Guard), the opposing Pokemon takes the exact amount of damage. (In Doubles, both opponents take damage, but each receives half of the damage taken by the user, rounded down) If the item is Knocked Off, stolen, or Tricked, the attacker takes damage equal to half of its current HP, rounded up.

Fling Power & Effect: 70,
Justification: Vapormon's Synchronize in item form.
Name: Frost Cloak
Effect: If a snowstorm begins, or if the Pokemon is sent out during snow, Aurora Veil is set on the field. If the Pokemon is hit by a contact move, the attacker has a 30% chance to be inflicted with Frostbite.
Permanent (Yes or No): Yes
Mold Breaker (Yes or No): No
Potential Pokémon With This Ability: :Lapras::Articuno::Mamoswine::Froslass::Beartic::Frosmoth::Cetitan:

OK I'm not waiting for vetoes because it's pissing me off. For the love of God we have Brain Buster, a physical Psychic Close Combat. The fuck you mean we don't have a reliable/good physical Psychic STAB. It just means some people, you 2 included, actually don't care about what the fuck is going on with the mod, and just want to sub your stuff without paying attention to what exists. Hell just take a look at the builder or the spreadsheet and you'll see it exists.

For the record, I am aware of Brain Buster's existence. That said, considering how there is a Dark-type infestation and there are more moves that got priority buffs, a move with low PP and lowers the user's stats makes each usage more risky in my opinion. Maybe my justification should be worded better, but my thought process is something along the lines between Acrobatics versus Brave Bird, where people have the option for something with higher PP and is a bit more relatively safer versus something with slightly higher BP at higher risk.

If it gets me a veto, I will concede and withdraw the sub.

The thing is that a close combat clone is about as good a something can get. Sure maybe smth more niche like a drain punch clone, or take advantage and make smth new for psychic types instead of a "this does shit against booster energy and makes it so its anti synergy with knock" makes it hard to justify over brain buster

Close Combat and its many clones are some of the best moves of their types and Poltergeist has way too many issues to be considered better than it. A weaker, less accurate, knock off antisynergystic move does not compare to Brain Buster and is unlikely to see use. Poltergeist is only run because ghost types have nothing better, while the weakness of Close Combat is usually so negligible that it can be entirely circumvented through good play. The odds that anyone brings that move are so scarce I would probably be able to find a girlfriend before it happened. Telekinesis is an underpowered submission that fails to compete with something that already exists in the mod, and if it is not vetoed it will likely fail during voting.

The Pokémon with the highest Attack stat on the field gets a +2 stat boost to either their Attack or Defense, depending on which stat is higher. -> The Pokémon with the highest Attack stat on the field gets a +1 stat boost to their Attack, and +2 stat boost to their Defense.
Good change overall, it nerfs the move without making it a worse Swords Dance or Iron Defense

:tr01: Tera Starstorm
100 BP -> 120 BP
I don't think buffing Terapagos even more is a good idea as it already gives me :pmd/zygarde-complete:Zygarde-C vibes on crack, but we'll see at this point.

:rhyperior: :cloyster:Battle Armor
Cannot be hit by a critical hit. Damage taken from attacks is reduced by 1/8th. -> Cannot be hit by a critical hit. Damage taken from attacks is reduced by 20%.
:ogerpon: Super Luck
User's moves with high critical hit ratio always land as critical hits, and ignore the user's stat boosts. -> User's moves with high critical hit ratio always land as critical hits.
Good reversions overall, I do think Super Luck could have used a bit more distribution, however.

:smeargle: Moody
This Pokemon's non-HP stats are boosted by 1.1x, but its nature has no effect. -> On switch-in, this Pokemon's non-HP stats are boosted by 1.1x, but its nature has no effect.
Weird change but a healthy one, Moody is hard to scout, and this eases minimizing unexpected damage rolls.

:shaymin-sky: Aerodynamism
This Pokemon's Wind moves do not miss. User's Speed is raised by 1 when hit by a Wind move; Wind immunity. -> This Pokemon's Wind moves do not miss. User's Speed is raised by 1 when hit by a Wind move or under Tailwind; Wind and Sand immunity.
On one hand the buff wasn't particularly required, but it's okay, gives me the vibes of those small buffs some games get to slightly lean the metagame more on a given direction.

:ursaluna: Honey Gather
If this Pokemon is not holding an item, 50% chance at the end of the turn to get a Honey. 100% chance in Misty Terrain. -> If this Pokemon is holding a Honey, it cannot be removed. If this Pokemon is not holding a Honey, 50% chance at the end of the turn to get a Honey. 100% chance in Misty Terrain. Heals 1/16 of its maximum HP if holding a Honey.
I have the feeling this could remain underpowered, but time will tell.

:alakazam: Nostalgia Trip
Moves used by this Pokemon have the Attack category they would for moves of their type in Generation 3. Fairy moves are Special. -> Moves used by or against this Pokemon have the Attack category they would for moves of their type in Generation 3. Fairy moves are Special.
I'd think that the user's moves should also receive a damage boost like -ate abilities, as otherwise this is still hard to justify, especially as making it also affect the opponent is just unreliable to say the least.

Items
:protector: Knight's Armor
Holder takes 3/4 damage if user takes damage from hazards. Holder is grounded. -> Holder takes 3/4 damage if hazards are up on holder's side. Holder is grounded.
:honey: Honey
When this Pokemon's HP drops below 33%, restores 33% HP. The item is then consumed. If Knock Off is used on holder, lowers foe's Speed by 1. -> When this Pokemon's HP drops below 50%, restores 33% HP. The item is then consumed. If Knock Off is used on holder, lowers foe's Speed by 1.
Nice reversions, not much to add.

:metal-coat: Engine Breaker
Moves that would've had their damage reduced or negated by an ability ignore it once and deal neutral damage. Single use. -> Moves that would've had their damage reduced or negated by an ability, item, or move ignore it once and deal neutral damage. Once per switch-in.
DragMag is going to go wild with this, isn't it? Now it's an interesting item that could easily have potential for wallbreakers if used right.

:clawitzer: Fried Rice
Increases the power of pulse moves by 1.2x. If Clawitzer, becomes Water/Dragon, Speed is 1.5x, and item cannot be removed. Water Pulse power is 1.2x. -> Increases the power of pulse moves by 1.2x. If Clawitzer, becomes Water/Dragon, Speed is 1.5x, and item cannot be removed. Water Pulse is now 80 BP.
Clawitzer sure deserved the buff.

Adjustments
:kangaskhan: Kangaskhan
+Headlong Rush
The nerfs were overkill, plus Headlong Rush has a sort of anti-synergy with Parental Bond from what I recall.

:nihilego: Nihilego
+Tinted Lens
-Liquid Body, -Petroleum Blast

:pecharunt:
-Infernal Parade
TBH those are good ways of handling their potentially problematic aspects without being overkill.

:drapion:
+Battle Armor | Spikes, U-turn, Wicked Blow
-Sniper
Umbreon sure is getting some competition, huh? It seems more of a bulky offense pick at least, but Wicked Blow may be pushing it.

:wo-chien:
+Calm Mind, +Refresh
If this fails it can just be given Take Heart, but in the meantime this sure looks like a potent bulky sweeper, it can even run Ingrain to block phazing.

:pikachu-original:(All versions)
+Bulk Up, +Calm Mind, +Curse, +Detect, +Double-Edge, +Extreme Speed, +Last Resort, +Parabolic Charge, +Refresh, +Seismic Toss, +Yawn
Having more viable Pikachu than :pmd/pikachu-original:Original and :pmd/pikachu:base is really neat.

Finally, I'd think that :stick:Cursed Branch should be buffed by making it not removable by Knock Off, right now it's just outclassed by the :iron plate:Legend Plate, and having an item that adds a typing mostly for defensive purposes without removing the other ones is a good niche in itself if it's given that little extra buff.

Abilities: Misty Surge / Sap Sipper / Hospitality
New Moves: Earth Power, Healing Wish, Heart Swap, Land's Wrath, Leech Seed, Leaf Storm, Mental Gymnastics, Quicksand Drain, Sleep Powder, Worry Seed
Removed Moves: None
Justification: Florges has a great BST for a non-legendary, but its Abilities, movepool, and typing let it down. Fairy / Ground is an excellent defensive and offensive typing, while Florges can choose between 3 amazing abilities - Misty Surge and Hospitality offer team support, and Sap Sipper turns a weakness into an immunity. Sleep Powder, Healing Wish, Heart Swap, Leech Seed, and Land's Wrath all ensure Florges can do useful things while its on the field, and if you dont want to do any of that, you can probably just run a CM set to viable effect.

New Moves: Volt Switch, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Discharge, Overvolt Rail, Eerie Spell, Parabolic Charge, Thunder Wave, Aurora Beam, Future Sight, Signal Beam, Defog, Nasty Plot, Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse
Removed Moves: None
Justification: This is my attempt at rehabilitating Espathra. You will notice I have removed Speed Boost, because its absolutely bonkers on a Pokemon with Stored Power. In return, I have given Espathra a unique typing, plenty of coverage, and Stamina. Stamina mimicks the free boosting of Speed Boost, however its much worse as Espathra has pretty bad bulk and it can't really fit a way to Speed Boost on this set. Forewarn is actually kinda neat, as HydreigonTheChild pointed out, it sets Future Sight after using Nasty Plot. Lastly, Espathra is a fast Keep Cool user with pivoting if you wanna go that route.

Honey Gather :cofagrigus: & Nostalgia Trip :runerigus:
:sv/cofagrigus: :sv/runerigus:
Names: Cofagrigus & Runerigus
Types: Fairy/Ghost & Ground/Ghost (please make :yamask: Fairy/Ghost too)
Abilities: :cofagrigus: Mummy / Overcoat / Honey Gather (hidden ability)
:runerigus: Wandering Spirit / Nostalgia Trip / Deliquesce (hidden ability)
New Moves:
both :cofagrigus: & :runerigus: Spectral Thief [already have from Slate 03]; Infernal Parade, Eerie Spell [already have from Slate 06]; Frostnip [Cofagrigus already has from Slate 06]; Baneful Bunker, Mental Gymnastics, Millstone, Petroleum Blast, Play Rough, Shore Up, Spikes [07] (:yamask: & :yamask-galar: too)

:runerigus:-only: Coil, Doodle, Gunk Shot, Land's Wrath, Liquidation, Poison Jab, Quicksand Drain, Toxic [08]
Removed Moves: [none]

Justification: I figure that there could stand to be more viable users of some of the more "niche" abilities made even if this initially started as an attempt just to put Honey Gather on a worthwhile mon that would also actually use it. Shore Up and/or Frostnip might be a bit overkill on one or both of these despite their lower BST--unsure right now:

:cofagrigus: Did you know that the ancient Egyptians valued honey a lot? Because that's my justification for putting Honey Gather on a mon that is neither a honey-producer nor a honey-eater like say a skunk; R.I.P. Honey Gather Skunktank just because Umbreon exists as a Dark/Poison tank mon. Poison/Ghost is also a neat defensive typing...that I legitimately forgot was on Pecharunt too now somehow, which is why this is instead now Fairy/Ghost since Flutter Mane is still stuck in Ubers hell where it belongs and since Mimikyu is still basically a meme mon. I also don't want to make another Steel/Ghost mon when Gholdengo is still here oppressing us and when for as much as I don't care for the Aegislash buff I also don't want to undermine that either; Fairy typing vaguely fits the idea of "fairy gold" as much as Steel does for Cofagrigus's supposedly golden exterior anyway. Overcoat is meanwhile just there because I've always felt Cofagrigus should have had it, with it being incidental to my "sand agenda"; if anything, then Overcoat helps further justify the seemingly random spore move even if this thing would be too obnoxious with actual Spore despite its one resistance (and now being able to be Poisoned still).

:runerigus: Meanwhile, Nostalgia Trip was something that I considered giving to both of these guys, but it always would have benefited Runerigus way more both on offense where it can now use its higher Atk for Shadow Ball or Infernal Parade or Hex (and Petroleum Blast) instead of having to rely upon Poltergeist or Shadow Claw or Stone Edge and on the defensive where all of its weaknesses save for Ghost now hit on the Special side, which getting Frostnip helps with a lot (even if it maybe shouldn't get that); Baseball can replicate the offensive side to a degree, though you're "stuck" using Shadow Ball and Petroleum Blast. Even without Frostnip, Nostalgia Trip sets also benefit a lot from having Coil now. Not to be outdone, Deliquesce actually benefits this a lot too since it only becomes weaker to Grass while gaining all of the benefits of being Water otherwise. Just keep it away from Rillaboom obviously (and Freeze-Dry), but even with that Grass (& Freeze-Dry) issue, Ground/Ghost/Water is surprisingly great defensively for not including Steel or Fairy at all. And finally, Doodle is just a fun move that would make sense on Runerigus if it had been introduced in the same generation rather than a gen later as a signature and not-broken move on a mon that basically no one uses. (I like Grafaiai's design, but gods it needs a buff if it wants to overcome/become part of the OU power creep.)

Name: Armor Cannon | Land's Cry | Fairytale Ending (adjustment | new | new)
Power: 120 [all]
Accuracy: 100% [all]
PP: 5 (8) [all]
Category: Special | Special | Physical
Type: Fire | Ground | Fairy
Effect: Lowers the user's Defense and Sp. Def by 1. [all]
Priority: 0 [all]
Flags (ex: Contact, Sound): Mirror, Protect (all); Pulse, Thaw (Armor Cannon); Sound (Land's Cry); Contact (Fairytale Ending)
Potential Pokémon With This Move: (Armor Cannon) :armarouge: (only existing user) + :clawitzer: & :magmortar: (NOT :sceptile:; maybe :blastoise:)
(Land's Cry) :aurorus:, :flygon:, :gastrodon:, :lunatone: & :solrock:, :minior:, :nidoking: & :nidoqueen:, :omastar:, :palossand:, :sandy shocks:, :toedscruel: (probably best to NOT give it to :diancie: or :landorus:; maybe :camerupt: and/or :tyranitar: even though :camerupt-mega: and :tyranitar-mega: already hit like truck)
(Fairytale Ending) :azumarill:, :dachsbun:, :enamorus:, :escavalier:, :fezandipiti:, :granbull:, :grimmsnarl:, :hatterene:, :kangaskhan:, :mimikyu:, :rapidash-galar: (& maybe :rapidash:), :ralts:'s line (NOT :iron valiant:) :slurpuff:, :tapu bulu:, :tinkaton:, :weezing-galar: (NOT :mawile:; probably best to avoid :diancie: here too, though it seems less of an issue than Land's Cry would be; maybe :altaria:, :houndstone:, :sirfetch'd:, and/or other Tapus)
Justification: Killing multiple birds with one Stone Edge here given two of my other ideas were already partially taken:

1. Armor Cannon: Has the most restrictive flavor by far even before Fire generally being pretty strong as an attacking type, especially due to Sun, with no natural immunity like Ground or Fighting meaning that it should arguably be the most restricted anyway. It's always bothered me that Armor Cannon isn't a Pulse move even before last Slate reminded me, and I felt a bit guilty for pointing that out during voting last time since I otherwise liked the Mega Launcher Armarouge idea, so this is also partially a mea culpa.

2. Land's Cry: I was reminded when looking at Toedscruel's anemic SpA over the weekend that there isn't a generic special Ground move stronger than Earth Power's 90 BP. So this an attempt to fix that, and due to Headlong Rush existing now, that's basically confirmation this would probably be fine. Making it a Sound move is at once an attempt to make it differ from Headlong Rush (in part by ignoring Subs), to make more potential Throat Spray users, and to make Soundproof (and technically Punk Rock) slightly more useful (even if Toxtricity will still explode from getting hit by this).

3. Fairytale Ending: Even with Salve Strike getting a needed buff (that I'll talk about Later™), its power likely still is a bit lacking for the relatively few Fairy mons that need to rely on Attack, like poor, poor Tapu Bulu. So this is attempting to fill that gap, offering an alternative that gives more power reliably but at a riskier cost while going mostly to "fairytale" Fairy mons and the knightly Escavalier and taking full advantage of "ending" being a potentially violent pun (without having to call it "Happy Ending" thankfully). And as much as I chuckled at Mawile(-Mega) missing out on Salve Strike, Mawile(-Mega) should almost certainly miss out on this too. R.I.P you Play Rough-locked bozo.

:hitmonchan:
Name: Iron Fist (adjustment)
Effect: "This Pokemon's punch-based attacks have 1.2x power and are super-effective against Fairy. Immune to Intimidate. (Sucker Punch is not boosted.)" (Would now announce itself: "[User] has fists of iron !")
Permanent (Yes or No):
No
Mold Breaker (Yes or No): No
Potential Pokémon With This Ability: Current users (:chimchar:'s line, :crabrawler:'s line, :golett:'s line, :pancham:'s line, :pawmi:'s line, :timburr:'s line, :hitmonchan:, :ledian:, & :melmetal:) + :breloom: (over Effect Spore), :buzzwole:, :hariyama: (over Sheer Force) (could also go to :iron hands: but it would "have" to replace its Long Reach ability, so....)
Justification: I've always thought that Iron Fist sucks (and it does), but I figured I would try to do something besides just up its boost directly, especially since Punching Glove exists. So instead I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone by making Iron Fist more powerful indirectly while taking away some of Fairy's absurd typing privilege even if Fighting already hits the most types of any type. Luckily, punches are mostly as weak as Iron Fist itself (which is why current Iron Fist is mostly wack) to the point that the strongest usable Fighting moves are all not punch-based; also, half of the punches would still hit Fairies super-effectively and aren't Fighting anyway, with the best Iron Fist user of Melmetal getting the smallest boost since it already hit Fairy mons super-effectively with the games strongest viable punch move, Double Iron Bash. This also helps to rein in Magearna's stupid self more since that gets bopped for 4x damage by Fire Punch and every Fighting punch with Iron Fist on, as well as by Headlong Rush which apparently counts as a punching move for some reason; other Steel/Fairy mons, Diancie, Grimmsnarl, Ninetales-Alola, and the still largely unusable Normal/Fairy mons are just kind of collateral damage, though only the last and Diancie have my sympathy at all. (Flutter Mane continues to be busted since this isn't Scrappy as far as the Fighting punches are concerned even if other punches hit that super-effectively, though only Shadow Punch hits for 4x damage.)

Name: Germination
Power: 10
Accuracy: 100%
PP: 15
Category: Physical
Type: Grass
Effect: Increases in power by 10bp after each turn the user spends on the field, to a maximum of 300bp. Remains after switch out.
Priority: 0
Flags (ex: Contact, Sound): Contact, Ball.
Potential Pokémon With This Move: Grass types, physical attackers with Grass type flavor.
Justification: Late-game win condition that exponentially increases in power, very useful for the likes of ferrothorn, Tangrowth and Amoonguss to use via their survivability.

Name: Void Suction
Power: 110
Accuracy: 100%
PP: 10
Category: Special
Type: Dark
Effect: Removes hazards from the opponent's side of the field. For each hazard removed, heal 1/8 health.
Priority: 0
Flags (ex: Contact, Sound): Triage
Potential Pokémon With This Move: Dark Types, Psychic types, space themed pokémon, ultra beasts.
Justification: Strong special dark type attack with a reasonable drawback that can undo a lot of progress if not used correctly.

Effect: Amount of hits and power is determined by how much HP the user has left.
100% HP-67% HP: 20 BP, hits 4-5 times.
66% HP-34% HP: 50 BP, hits 2 times.
33% HP-1% HP: 120 BP, hits once.

Justification: Want to try and make another physical Fairy move, users could probably be expanded but it's just a good tool that can rebound from the fact that your Pokemon's health is low.
Name: Sachet (re-sub)
Effect: Each turn, if the holder is Fairy-type, restores 1/16 max HP. Once the holder is under 1/4 HP, restores 1/2 max HP and consumes item.
Can Be Knocked Off (Yes or No): Yes
Ignored by Klutz (Yes or No): Yes
Fling Power & Effect: 40 BP, confuses the target.
Justification: Fairy-type Black Sludge that consumes itself. We're making Clefable and Magearna proud with this one!
:sv/slither-wing:
Name: Slither Wing
Type:
Bug.png
Fighting.png

Abilities: Protosynthesis / Fluffy
New Moves: Aura Sphere, Cotton Guard, Drain Punch, Fire Fang, Focus Blast, Ice Spinner, Icy Wind, Rock Slide, Roost, Smack Down, Thunderbolt, Thunder Fang, Quiver Dance
Removed Moves:
Justification: Wanted to try and give it a jack-of-all-trades niche; it's no longer outclassed by Buzzwole defensively due to Fluffy and can even run new special sets with Quiver Dance and its already decent Special Attack with Booster Energy. Bulk Up and Choice Band sets likely don't have much of a change, but Bulk Up can now hit Landorus and Gliscor for good damage.

Vetoes / Requests
Bobsican Replace Tera Starstorm on Sylveon, signature move moment...
HydreigonTheChild If the double stat drops from Low Sweep / Breaking Swipe / Brutal Swing want to be kept, consider lowering the BP. If the Bp wants to be kept, just choose one stat to drop. Glalie could also be better off without pivoting moves, else its likely way too consistent at being a nuisance with its powered up coverage and STABs; Ice/Water is also a pretty controversial typing with Freeze-Dry so either cut down Water moves or remove Freeze-Dry. Mist of the North is also a pretty long name, shorten it please!
solrock the great Tailwind seems too overtuned with the amount of wind abusers to our disposal and improved Flying-types, might need to be vetoed if not changed to something more calmer.
koista12 Espathra still seems sadly unviable, not sure if it'd really add anything to the meta or be interesting.
Ayecrusher King Make Kinesis have a chance to miss and lower its PP, it's too consistent to have those traits.

Keeping it simple tonight, above are the results of me and Geko reviewing subs. Voting opens tomorrow morning/afternoon!

New Moves: Thunderclap, Slack Off | Burning Bulwark, Swords Dance, Morning Sun, Knock Off, Stealth Rock | Hydro Steam, Flip Turn, Knock Off, Recover, Defog, Aurora Veil
Removed Moves: None
Justification: Now they should be way better.
:raikou: Bulky Raikou. GSC ref.
:entei: Tough Claws, Swords Dance etc makes it way better than before.
:suicune: Bulky Water, Magic Guard is cool, and Nostalgia Trip makes it super annoying to take down with CroCune sets due to its weaknesses becoming special.

These have either been fixed or maybe smth i agree with..

First (request / veto) is about espartha. Espartha is likely to be much more viable, elec + psychic is a unique typing outside of raichu-a which allows this mon to be quite good. Forewarn boosting psychic moves also makes lumina crash very strong. Keep Cool + Flame orb (or frozen orb) makes it quite good at slamming stuff and esp with Nasty plot you can easily run away against bulkier teams and with aura sphere it isnt stone walled by ferro and with NP + parabolic charge + overvolt rail it can also have fun against fast teams.

Even sets like stamina + calm mind can be very good. WHile stored power + parabolic charge / aura sphere is gonna be walled by something it cna easily run away against other kinda of teams

I think kinesis is one of the weaker subs. Halving the damage against knocked targets makes it unreliable into booster energy teams, air balloon + clones, and just any consumable. This kind of sub is just very very weak and inconsistent. You are gonna struggle esp without knock off

HydreigonTheChild already said most of what I wanted to, but to add to that, I think the fact that Espathra has 3 different, good, abilities will allow it to be somewhat viable despite its low BST. Forewarn will likely be the best due to boosting Psychic type moves and letting it set a Future Sight when boosting, with Keep Cool and Stamina being less immediately useful but still unique in their own rights. Lumina Crash really is an insane move, and that + the 3 abilities + all the coverage I gave Espathra should make it strong enough to not be up for veto.

Voting is now open! The following subs are veteod:

Ayecrusher King's king's Kinesis
solrock the great's Tailwind

Additionally, HydreigonTheChild Hidin forgot to add this in the review but Glalie with Extreme Speed would have it vetoed as well, im letting this one slide since its late but consider it is getting removed from the sub should it win.
