UU Celebi

QC Checks: radianthero156, Limitless, Kushalos
GP Checks: CalmPokeMaster, Lightning Luxray / Minus

Overview
########

Celebi is a very interesting Pokemon with the wide variety of roles it can pull off. As one of the best Baton Passers in UU, Celebi can Baton Pass Nasty Plot, Swords Dance, and Calm Mind boosts, as well as Substitute, allowing it to support offensive teams very well. It also has a vast movepool that includes highlights such as Perish Song and Stealth Rock, and coverage moves such as Earth Power. However, Celebi has several shortcomings, mainly the fact that many of its roles are better done by other Pokemon. For instance, it is outclassed as a bulky cleric by Florges and Aromatisse, and it isn't quite as difficult to counter as Mew, which is much more versatile while having similar stats to Celebi.

Baton Pass
########
name: Baton Pass
move 1: Baton Pass
move 2: Giga Drain / Seed Bomb
move 3: Nasty Plot / Calm Mind / Swords Dance
move 4: Recover
item: Weakness Policy / Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 232 SpD / 24 Spe
nature: Calm / Careful

Moves
========

Baton Pass allows Celebi to both gain momentum and pass the boosts it has accumulated while also evading Pursuit. The second moveslot depends on what boosts Celebi will be passing. Giga Drain should be used in the third moveslot if Celebi is running Nasty Plot or Calm Mind, otherwise Seed Bomb is the superior choice. The boosting move Celebi runs depends on the teammate(s) it will be passing to and as such differs based on team structure. Recover improves Celebi's longevity, allowing it to pass another set of boosts later on in the match if need be. However, Substitute is usable over Recover as it allows the Baton Pass receiver to be safe from status moves.

Set Details
========

The EV spread allows Celebi to outspeed minimally invested base 100s and Adamant Honchkrow, which can Pursuit trap Celebi, while making it as specially bulky as possible. Like the choice between Seed Bomb and Giga Drain, the nature you choose depends on the boosts you are Celebi will be passing: Calm for Nasty Plot or Calm Mind, and Careful for Swords Dance. Weakness Policy is the preferred item, as Celebi can easily take a super effective non-STAB attack such as Starmie's Ice Beam and get a convenient (albeit one-time) boost. Leftovers gives Celebi passive recovery and thus allows it to stay in a tad longer to potentially get off another boost or two to pass.

Usage Tips
========

You should bring Celebi in on a Pokemon it can scare out, such as Quagsire or Swampert. It can use the free turn to snatch a boost and then pass it to the appropriate teammate.

Team Options
========

Celebi's teammates should be ones that really like the boosts that it can pass off. Examples include Nidoking, Noivern, and Chandelure for Nasty Plot; Nidoqueen, Blastoise, offensive Slowbro and Porygon2, and Roserade for Calm Mind; Entei, Flygon, Metagross, and offensive Mega Aggron for Swords Dance. A special mention goes to Aromatisse, as not only does it like a Calm Mind boost, but it also boasts an immunity to Taunt, a big check to Baton Pass Celebi. Fire-types such as Entei and Chandelure not only love Baton Pass support but can take on non-Choice Scarf Heracross, and KOing it with their respective STAB moves. Finally, Dugtrio can trap the many Steel- and Fire-types which give Celebi trouble.

Nasty Plot
########
name: Offensive Nasty Plot
move 1: Nasty Plot
move 2: Giga Drain
move 3: Psychic / Dazzling Gleam
move 4: Earth Power
item: Life Orb / Leftovers
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Timid

Moves
========

After a single Nasty Plot, Celebi reaches an astounding 598 Special Attack with a Timid nature which allows it to hit like an absolute truck coupled with Life Orb. Giga Drain is Celebi's main STAB move, also acting as a source of recovery. Leaf Storm is usable over Giga Drain for its significantly higher Base Power, but it cancels out the Nasty Plot boost. The third move depends on what kind of Pokemon you need Celebi to hit; Psychic hits Poison-types such as Crobat and Roserade, while Dazzling Gleam hits Dark-types such as Hydreigon and Honchkrow, two of the most common switch-ins to Celebi. Baton Pass can also be used here, but this Celebi set focuses more on wallbreaking as opposed to passing boosts. Earth Power makes Fire-types think twice before switching into Celebi.

Set Details
========

The EV spread and Timid nature allow Celebi to hit as hard and fast as possible. Life Orb is the recommended item as it gives Celebi more firepower. However, Leftovers and Miracle Seed are options if you detest Life Orb recoil. An alternative EV spread of 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe although your special attack is still really high after a nasty plot sacrifices power for bulk, with extra bulk giving Celebi the chance to survive attacks such as Mienshao's U-turn; Celebi's Special Attack is already quite high after a Nasty Plot boost, anyways. This spread is usually not optimal though, because, you do not always OHKO Victini with Earth Power at +2, along being unable to KO Specially Defensive Mega Aggron with Earth Power.

Usage Tips
========

Bring Celebi in late-game against a Pokemon that Celebi can force out, such as Machamp. As they switch out, it can set up a Nasty Plot and then clean up. Although it is best used late game, Nasty Plot Celebi is a decent early-game wallbreaker as only a handful can take Celebi's attacks at +2.

Team Options
========

Although Celebi is quite fast, Sticky Web support can be used just to make sure Celebi outspeeds every non-Choice Scarf Pokemon that isn't immune to Sticky Web. Bulky Water-types such as Slowbro and Swampert can check Fire-types for Celebi. If Celebi doesn't run Psychic, it will struggle to get past other bulky Grass-types such as Amoonguss; as such, pairing it with a Fire-type such as Darmanitan or Arcanine can be a good idea. Fletchinder also pairs rather well with Celebi; it easily checks the Bug-types that the latter hates, while Celebi can set up on and remove the Rock-types that check Fletchinder.

Support
########
name: Support
move 1: Giga Drain / Psychic
move 2: Recover
move 3: Thunder Wave / Heal Bell / Stealth Rock
move 4: Baton Pass / Stealth Rock / Perish Song
item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 232 SpD / 24 Spe
nature: Calm

Moves
========

Psychic is preferable in the first slot only if you badly need Celebi to check Poison-types; if not, Giga Drain is generally superior for the passive recovery it provides. Recover is a great tool for support Celebi, as it becomes very hard to wear down; thanks to Natural Cure, it doesn't fear even Toxic. The third moveslot down to what you need Celebi to do. Thunder Wave can be used to cripple faster threats, Heal Bell is usable if you want a non-Fairy-type cleric, and Stealth Rock is also an option if you don't have any other users of the move on your team. There are three options for the fourth moveslot as well. Baton Pass can be used to gain momentum and evade Pursuit, Stealth Rock is usable if you badly need a user, and Perish Song allows Celebi to out sweepers, break stall to an extent, and makes Celebi a very good win condition when your opponent is down to one Pokemon. However, never Baton Pass with Perish Song, as Celebi will pass the amount of turns left to the receiver.

Set Details
========

As with the Baton Pass set, the EV spread and nature let Celebi outspeed minimally invested base 100s and Adamant Honchkrow. Leftovers is a given for the additional passive recovery it provides Celebi. An alternative EV spread of 252 HP / 228 Def / 24 Spe allows Celebi to be a better pivot against physical attackers such as Chesnaught, Snorlax, and Virizion.

Usage Tips
========

Support Celebi can usually be brought in on any neutral or resisted attack. It can then take advantage of the forced switch and use one of the utility move it has, such as Stealth Rock, Heal Bell, or Thunder Wave. It is advisable for Celebi to use Baton Pass when confronted with a Pursuit user such as Honchkrow. Recover should be used frequently to heal off damage taken from switching in repeatedly, as Celebi needs to be healthy to keep checking threats such as Starmie, Machamp, Chesnaught, and Raikou.

Team Options
========

If you are running Stealth Rock on Celebi, then a Defiant or Competitive user such as Braviary or offensive Milotic makes for a good teammate, because it can pressure your opponent into not Defogging; speaking of Braviary, it also helps beats Heracross. Victini can team up with Celebi to beat the Grass- and Steel-types that this set hates, while Celebi gets rid of the bulky Water-types that Victini struggles to get past.

Swords Dance
########
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Seed Bomb
move 3: Zen Headbutt / Recover
move 4: Sucker Punch / Recover
item: Leftovers / Life Orb
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
nature: Jolly / Adamant

Moves
========

Swords Dance Celebi can surprise opponents expecting a special attacking or support set. Seed Bomb is its strongest physical Grass STAB attack. Zen Headbutt gives Celebi dual STAB coverage and the ability to hit Grass-types such as Amoonguss; however, Recover is there to shake off the life orb recoil should you use it can help it shake off Life Orb recoil and other residual damage to potentially grab another Swords Dance boost. Though a tad unreliable, Sucker Punch hits other Psychic-types such as Mew and Victini hard along with Ghost-types such as Chandelure, which is a major threat to Celebi. If you feel dual STAB coverage is too good to pass up, Recover can be used here as well. Aerial Ace is also a good option to hit Heracross and Mienshao on the switch.

Set Details
========

The EV spread maximizes Attack and Speed, allowing Celebi to make the most of of its good Speed. Adamant is an option for Celebi to hit even harder, but not running maximum Speed would be a waste of the base 100 Speed tier Celebi occupies. If you run an adamant nature you miss out on threats such as neutral-natured Infernape, Jolly Flygon, and Jolly Darmanitan The item comes completely down to preference: if you prefer passive recovery then use Leftovers, but if you want that extra kick to Celebi's attacks go with Life Orb. Colbur Berry is also usable for Celebi to sponge a Knock Off or Pursuit, but it only works once.

Usage Tips
========

Swords Dance Celebi's surprise factor can greatly aid in setting up and smashing would-be counters expecting a special set. It is also potent as a late-game sweeper, so it is generally a good idea to keep Celebi healthy until it can come in safely against a Pokemon it checks, such as Starmie, and boost. Even though most likely, your opponent is not prepared for this variation of Celebi Pokemon such as Sableye should be eliminated before Celebi attempts to sweep because having to switch out to shake off a burn late-game loses your momentum.

Team Options
========

Fighting-types such as Mienshao that can take out the Dark-types that trouble this set, such as Hydreigon, make for great offensive partners. Electric-types such as Raikou and Mega Ampharos work similarly, being able to KO Flying-type threats such as Mega Aerodactyl and Honchkrow. Other than that, fast attackers such as Noivern and Choice Scarf Darmanitan once again pair well with Celebi, being able to pick off faster threats that would otherwise stop a sweep.

Other Options
########

While Celebi has a treasure trove variety of other options, not many of them function well. It can run a Choice Band or Choice Specs set, but these are best left to more powerful attackers such as Hydreigon and Victini. Celebi can run Trick on a Choice Scarf set that can cripple a wall, gain momentum faster via U-turn or Baton Pass, and possibly even clean up late-game. Healing Wish can be used on the support set to grant Pokemon such as Hippowdon a fresh lease of life. Charge Beam is an interesting option for a boosting move as it isn't shut down by Taunt. Hidden Power Fire and Fighting can be used for coverage; the former hits Forretress hard, while the latter covers Dark-types such as Hydreigon. However, they have little other use, and Celebi has Dazzling Gleam for hitting Dark-types. U-turn on Celebi can be used for maintaining momentum, especially on a Choice set, but it doesn't hit that hard off an uninvested base 100 Attack.

Checks & Counters
########

**Fire-types**: Fire-types such as Houndoom, Victini, and Darmanitan can deal heavy damage with their STAB Fire attacks; the latter two can also OHKO with U-turn. However, they have to be wary of coverage moves such as Earth Power as they switch in. Rotom-H in particular is a great counter to Celebi, as it is immune to Earth Power and can nail Celebi with Overheat.

**Bug-types**: Choice Scarf Heracross can outspeed and OHKO Celebi with Megahorn, though it can take heavy damage from Psychic as it switches in. Similarly, Galvantula and Bug Bite Forretress can maim Celebi while setting up their respective entry hazards on it.

**Dark-types**: Although none like a Dazzling Gleam, Dark-types such as Honchkrow can deal heavy damage with their STAB attacks or Pursuit trap Celebi. Choice Scarf Hydreigon in particular can take out a weakened Celebi with Dark Pulse or straight up OHKO it with U-turn.

**Steel-types**: Bronzong walls Celebi cold, though it can't do anything back. Specially defensive Mega Aggron can sponge most of Celebi's attacks while hitting back decently hard. Assault Vest Metagross is also a very good check to Celebi, as it can shake off Earth Power and retaliate back with Ice Punch.

**U-turn**: Being 4x weak to U-turn is Celebi's biggest downfall, and common users such as Mienshao and Jirachi thus make for great checks.

When you do start putting Celebi's sets in, I honestly would not use U-turn as the main slash on them, unless it was some kinda CB set or something. Celebi's U-turn is pretty weak, and thanks to Baton Pass it's able to avoid being trapped by Pursuit, only thing is, it's susceptible to Taunt. But 9 times out of 10, even a dry pass will still be useful, and it might lead the opponent into expecting a completely different set than what it actually is

ok so the first set needs to be SpD boost pass

24 speed max hp rest in SpD
calm / careful
giga drain/seed bomb
baton pass
recover
nasty plot / swords dance

24 speed beats adamant krow so you can pass out of it safely.

the rest of the sets are kinda up in the air but i really like offensive np and sd those definitely need to be here

you've kinda taken on the biggest analysis uu is going to pump out so gl lol

Oh man. Okay.

Fix up spacing and capitalization errors so other people don't nag you about it in the future (for example, Evs should be EVs, and attack should be Atk in the EVs section). Additionally, make the set names proper: I know they're funny and stuff, but it's better to humor your readers through the prose. So yeah, the Navi jokes an go somewhere else, but not the names :V

I would also slash in Leftovers on the Nasty Plot set since you're not guaranteed to heal from Giga Drain 100% of the time, and the extra recovery can really help Celebi (whether it's using Baton Pass or not) be useful against teams that are prepared for it defensively, and just keep healthy in general.

You may also reconsider some of the slashes on the defensive set. IMO Heal Bell isn't exactly mandatory, and not having an attacking move is sort of a sin, so don't make it an exclusive cleric set. Celebi has a lot of options, but doesn't have all the moveslots to use them, so it's gonna be a bit difficult. Here's something I'd consider:

name: Defensive
move 1: Giga Drain / Psychic
move 2: Recover
move 3: Thunder Wave / Heal Bell / Stealth Rock
move 4: Baton Pass / Stealth Rock
item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 236 SpD / 20 Spe
nature: Calm

I don't know what's the logic behind your EVs aside from Speed creep (which isn't advised), so this one is tweaked to outrun max Speed base 60's and neutral natured max speed base 70's, whenever they may happen. One attacking move and Recover are mandatory, while the third and fourth slot are really up to preference. Just some brain food.

Additionally, you can choose whether or not to implement this, but it's worked out for me:

name: Offensive
move 1: Leaf Storm
move 2: Earth Power
move 3: Dazzling Gleam
move 4: Healing Wish / U-turn
item: Life Orb
evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Timid

This set plays more offensively and suicidally than your usual Celebi set, but it lures in fast Nidoking, non-scarf Heracross, non-scarf Darmanitran, Hydreigon, and unevolved Houndoom like it's nothing (Celebi outspeeds all of them, and Houndoom has a chance to be KOed after Leaf Storm and one weakened Earth Power), and Leaf Storm hits a ton of things, even resists, with Life Orb. In other words: it just hits pretty freaking hard and it's always, ALWAYS useful. Once Celebi is done/is useless, it can use a fast Healing Wish to patch up a disabled/extremely hurt sweeper. Pretty cool set.

It's definitely more useful than SD imo, so if it were up to me it should be above either Swords Dance or Specially Defensive, depending on how generous you feel.

Put the Swords Dance set second and add the berry that reduces Dark type attacks in OO for the SD set. For the Baton Pass set, slash in Weakness Policy as the main slash. Don't even slash Baton Pass on the offensive set, as it's kind of the point to sweep; there's already a Baton Pass set. Remove the offensive lure set you have.

Actually, I'm dumb. I was thinking of Mew when I thought of the Swords Dance set, lol. We all make mistakes...

Anyways, put the Swords Dance set last. The rest of the ordering is fine.

i think you should rename "defensive" set to "support", as it plays more as a supportive pokemon than a wall, and IMO perish song is useful and unique enough to be slashed in the main set, probably on move 4 (mention that if you run perish song, you should run u-turn instead of baton pass as well). finally, you should mention that it can opt to run a physically defensive ev spread as well, because then it can be a good pivot against earthquakes, waterfalls, fighting moves, seed bombs, and etc, but specially defensive is still the recommended option.

also, expand the checks and counters section; rotom-h, arcanine, darmanitan, victini can all threaten celebi and either burn your team with WoW, grab momentum with u-turn/vswitch or spam OP moves, with rotom-h checking it even harder by being immune to twave and earth power. flying and/or dragon types like hydreigon, noivern, crobat, etc can also take grass attacks pretty well and threaten celebi, but must be careful about twaves. steel pokemon like mega aggron/metagross/escavalier can also wall celebi pretty well, especially if the pack assault vest, and some of them even have pursuit to cripple celebis.

after that is done, qc 1/3

I'm curious if you really need Jolly on the Swords Dance Celebi. I've never really used this Celebi, and seeing as how there's no Drain Punch on the set for Hydreigon, I wonder if you can just use Adamant.

Either way, QC 2/3.

Done I believe. Now time to begin (my first) and the longest writeup probably along with mew in the entire game wish me luck :x although I want radianthero156 to see if I made all of his corrections.

Choice Scarf Celebi should get it own mention in other options instead of just mentioning "choice items" because its celebis best choice item and is still kind of viable with access to moves like trick, u-turn and healing wish. If done ill give you last QC. This analysis also lacks a lot of caps but that's something for the GP team to worry about.

Celebi is a very interesting Pokemon with the wide variety of roles it can pull off. As one of if not the best Baton Passers in the underused metagame UU, Celebi can baton pass substitute, Nasty Plot, Swords Dance, and Calm Mind boosts, as well as Substitute, allowing it to support it's offensive teams a lot very well. Another high-point to Celebi is the It also has a vast movepool that it has with highlights such as with support options such as Perish Song and Stealth Rock, stealth rock, and coverage moves such as Earth Power and many more. However, (add comma) there are a few flaws that knock Celebi down a notch Celebi has several shortcomings, foremost among which is that many of its roles are better done by Pokemon more suited to the same. Baton Pass is the crux of this set as it (Please, please avoid useless filler stuff like "XYZ is the crux of the set ...") allows you Celebi to both gain momentum and pass off boosts you have it has accumulated while also evading Pursuit. ('you' refers to the user, not the Pokemon. 'You' don't pass stuff, the Pokemon does) The choice of giga drain or seed bomb comes down to which kind of boosts you are passing, if you are passing nasty plots or calm minds then you should use giga drain and if you are passing swords dances then use seed bomb The second moveslot depends on what boosts Celebi will be passing: use Giga Drain if it is Nasty Plot or Calm Mind in the third moveslot, else run Seed Bomb. The third moveslot depends on which teamate(s) you have designated as a baton pass receiver The boosting move Celebi runs depends on the teammate(s) it will be passing to and as such differs based on team structure. Recover is a move that is almost imperative on celebi as it allows you to recover hp in a pinch improves Celebi's longevity, allowing it to try pass another set of boosts later on in the match if need be. (if it were 'imperative', why would you suggest replacing Recover with Substitute?) Celebi can forego recover for However, Substitute is usable over Recover as it allows the Baton Pass receiver to be safe from status moves.

The ev EV spread allows you Celebi to outspeed minimally invested base 100s and Adamant Honchkrow, which who (You refer to Pokemon with 'it', so go with 'which' here. If you used 'he / she', 'who' would be fine though. Bottomline: use either of the two, but not both) can Pursuit trap you Celebi, while making you it as specially bulky as possible. Like the choice between Seed Bomb and Giga Drain, the nature you choose depends on the boosts you are Celebi will be passing: Calm for Nasty Plot or Calm Mind, and Careful for Swords Dance being a calm nature for nasty plot and calm mind passing; and a careful nature for passing swords dances.

After a single Nasty Plot, Celebi reaches an astounding 598 Special Attack with a Timid nature which allows it to hit like an absolute truck coupled with life orb. Baton Pass can also be used here but this Celebi set focuses on wallbreaking as opposed to passing boosts. Earth Power is one of Celebi's largest assets as it makes Fire-types think twice before switching into Celebi. (if it were one of Celebi's largest assets, why would you list it last?)

The ev spread allows you to hit as hard as possible while making you as fast as possible and, with a timid nature, hitting the 300 speed club The EV spread and Timid nature allow Celebi to hit as hard and fast as possible. Usage Tips

Bring Celebi in late-game against a Pokemon that despises Celebi it can force out, (add comma) such as Machamp similar to the first set. As they switch out, it can set up a Nasty Plot and then take down your enemy with the insane special attack you gain after a nasty plot clean up.

(Isn't there anything else about using Nasty Plot Celebi? This section is really short as it is :/ Just throwing out ideas here: perhaps mention what Celebi can do early-game, whether it can even set up early-game and pseudo-wallbreak by throwing around +2 Giga Drains to weaken its own counters, etc.)

Team Options
========
Although Celebi is pretty fast, Sticky Web support can be used just to make sure you to let it outspeed every non-flying type that is not choice scarf (This is quite vague: what do you mean by "every non-Flying type that is not Choice Scarf"? Just mention the specific threats it can outspeed). Bulky waters to tango with fire types Bulky Water-types such as Slowbro and Swampert can check Fire-types for Celebi. Fletchinder also pairs rather well with Celebi; it easily checks the Bug-types that the latter hates, while Celebi can set up on the Rock-types that check Fletchinder as fletchinder doesn't like rock types which Celebi beats up on while celebi hates bug types like heracross who cannot take an itemless acrobatics.

nature: Calm

(fix the spacing after the slashes)

Moves
========
The first slot depends on who you need to hit, if you are in need of a check to poisons then use psychic Psychic is preferable in the first slot only if you badly need Celebi to check Poison-types; if not, you are probably better off with Giga Drain is generally superior for the passive recovery it provides. Recover is a great tool for support Celebi, making it as it becomes very hard to wear down; even with toxic because of thanks to Natural Cure, it doesn't fear even Toxic. The third moveslot like the first comes down to what you need Celebi to do. (period) if you need speed control then use thunder wave, a cleric that is not fairy type then use heal bell, and if you need a user of the almighty stealth rock then use stealth rock Thunder Wave can be used to cripple faster threats ('speed control' is more of a Doubles-centric term), Heal Bell is usable if you want a non-Fairy cleric, and Stealth Rock is also an option if you don't have any other users of the same on your team. On the fourth moveslot There are three options for the fourth moveslot as well. you can use Baton Pass can be used to gain momentum and evade Pursuit, once again Stealth Rock can be used is usable if you badly need a user, and Perish Song to be can make Celebi a terrific pivot. (period) However, do not ever use Baton Pass with Perish Song, as you Celebi will pass the amount of turns left to the receiver.

(add space)

Set Details
========
The ev spread and nature do exactly what the baton pass ev spread does, As with the Baton Pass set, the EV spead and nature let Celebi outspeed minimally based invested base 100s and Adamant Honchkrow. Leftovers practically a must for all defensive mons not named mega aggron is a given for the additional passive recovery it provides Celebi. An alternative EV spread of 252 HP / 228 Def / 24 Spe allows you Celebi to be a better pivot against physical attackers such as Chesnaught and Snorlax.

(add space)

Usage Tips
========
Support Celebi can usually just be brought in on any neutral or not very effective resisted attack. You should force a switch It can then take advantage of the forced switch and use one of the utility moves you have it has, such as Stealth Rock, Heal Bell, or Thunder Wave. If you are pursuit trapped just use baton pass as you avoid pursuit. If you are in a though spot just use recover. It is advisable for Celebi to use Baton Pass when confronted with a Pursuit user such as Honchkrow. Recover should be used frequently to heal off damage taken from switching in repeatedly, as Celebi needs to be healthy to keep checking threats such as <> (I don't play much UU, but please mention some threats that this set checks here)

Team Options
========
If you are running Stealth Rock on Celebi, then run a Defiant or Competitive user such as Braviary or offensive Milotic makes for a good teammate, because it provides offensive pressure in addition to as it can pressure your opponent into not Defogging; speaking of Braviary, it also helps celebi beats Heracross. Victini can team up with Celebi to beat the Grass- and Steel-types that this celebi set hates, (add comma) while Celebi gets rid of the bulky Water-types that Victini hates can't get past. (you already used 'hates' in this sentence)

(add space)

Swords Dance
########
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance (This IS an SD set. Swords Dance should occupy the first slot)
move 2: Seed Bomb
move 3: Zen Headbutt / Recover
move 4: Sucker Punch / Recover
item: Leftovers / Life Orb
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
nature: Jolly / Adamant

(fix spacing near slashes)

Moves
========
Seed bomb is Celebi's strongest grass stab move which warrants a slot. Swords dance is for suprising the opponent and boosting your attack to skyhigh levels similar to nasty plot Swords Dance Celebi can surprise opponents expecting a special attacking or support set. Seed Bomb is its strongest physical Grass STAB attack. Zen Headbutt allows gives Celebi dual STAB coverage and the ability to hit pokemon like Grass-types such as Amoonguss; however, Recover is there to shake off the life orb recoil should you use it can help it shake off Life Orb recoil and other residual damage to potentially grab another Swords Dance boost. Though a tad unreliable, Sucker Punch hits other Psychic-types such as Mew and Victini hard along with Ghost-types such as like Chandelure, which is a major threat to Celebi. If you feel dual STAB coverage is too good to pass up, Recover can be used here as well once again recover can be used to shake off life orb recoil. Aerial Ace is also a good option to hit Heracross and Mienshao on the switch.

Set Details
========
The ev spread allows Celebi to hit as hard and be as fast as possible while reaching the 300 speed club via a jolly nature however if you are really power hungry you can use an adamant nature but celebi rests in a rather good speed tier and does not want to waste it The EV spread maximizes Attack and Speed, allowing Celebi to make the most of of its good Speed. Adamant is an option for Celebi to hit even harder, but not running maximum Speed would be a waste of the base 100 Speed tier Celebi occupies. (as with the NP set, please mention what threats Celebi will miss out on by not running +Spe) The item comes completely down to preference: (colon) if you like your prefer passive recovery then go with Leftovers, and but if you want that extra kick to your Celebi's attacks go with Life Orb. A neat item is the colbur berry which weakens dark type attacks allowing you to take knock offs and pursuits a lot better however Colbur Berry is also usable for Celebi to sponge the odd Knock Off or Pursuit, but it only works once.

Usage Tips
========
This Celebi is the definition of both suprise factor and a late game sweeper. So with that said bring it in late game and allow it to set up a swords dance around a pokemon celebi checks like starmie. After a swords dance is up all that can be said is sweep!

(Once again, please flesh this section out. I know little about UU, but I think what I've written should apply to this set.)

Team Options
========
This celebi needs fighting types like mienshao to hit dark types like hydreigon really hard. Electric types such as mega manectric allow flying types to not be a problem and either of it's common hidden powers benefit celebi being grass and ice. (Didn't get this. Do you mean it can cover certain threats which Celebi can't? If so, mention.) Other then that common teamates found in the other sets such as noivern and darmanitan pair really well with this celebi, picking off faster threats. Fighting-types such as Mienshao that can take out the Dark-types that trouble this set, such as Hydreigon, make for great offensive partners. Electric-types such as Mega Manectric work similarly, being able to KO Flying-type threats. Other than that, fast attackers such as Noivern and Choice Scarf Darmanitan once again pair well with Celebi, being able to pick off faster threats that would otherwise stop a sweep.

Other Options
########
While Celebi has a treasure trove variety of other options, (add comma) although not many of them function well. Celebi can utilize choice band and specs of the choice items however this is It can run a Choice Band or Choice Specs set, but these are best left to one of the pixie's pok3mon more powerful attackers such as Hydreigon and Victini. Celebi has access to trick which makes choice scarf celebi a very viable pokemon as it Celebi can run Trick on a Choice Scarf set that can cripple a wall, gain faster momentum faster via U-turn or Baton Pass, and it can possibly even clean up late-game. Healing Wish can fit onto any set although you already do have heal bell the hp support does be used on the support set to grant help Pokemon such as Hippowdon a fresh lease of life. Charge Beam is an interesting option for a boosting move that isn't shut down by Taunt, but it is unreliable and only grants a +1 boost however even though it is untauntable nasty plot is superior. Hidden power fighting and fire are ok but are not as viable because of the nerf hidden power received. However hidden power fighting hits dark types which is cool but dazzling gleam is generally better. Hidden power fire's only usage is really for Forretress Hidden Power Fire and Fighting can be used for coverage; the former hits Forretress hard, while the latter covers Dark-types such as Hydreigon. However, they have little other use, and Celebi anyway has Dazzling Gleam for hitting Dark-types. U-turn is cool move on celebi can be used for maintaining momentum, especially on a Choice set, but it doesn't hit that hard off an uninvested base 100 Attack. The final option is the colbur berry allowing you to survive pursuits and knock offs you usually would not. (You already mentioned this under the last set)

Checks & Counters
########
Due to celebi's great versatility and coverage there are not many if any counters to it however there are a large amount of checks to celebi. (You can't have a stand-alone paragraph like this in Checks & Counters.)

**Fire-types**: Namely houndoom, chandelure, victini, and darmanitan who can hit you really hard with either a fire move or u-turn. Fire-types such as Houndoom, Victini, and Darmanitan can deal heavy damage with their STAB Fire attacks; the latter two can also OHKO with U-turn. However, they have to be wary of coverage moves such as Earth Power as they switch in. Rotom-heat is the best Celebi counter out there Rotom-H in particular is probably the best counter to Celebi, as it is immune to Earth Power and can nail Celebi with an Overheat.

**Bug-types** Choice Scarf Heracross is the first to come to mind as unless you can predict it coming in and hit it with psychic then a megahorn will kill you before you can say, "hey listen!" (Again, please maintain a formal tone in an analysis.) in particular can outspeed and OHKO Celebi with Megahorn, though it can take heavy damage from Psychic as it switches in. This also applies to Galvantula and bug bite Forretress. Similarly, Galvantula and Bug Bite Forretress can maim Celebi while setting up their respective entry hazards on it.

**Dark-types** Although none like a Dazzling Gleam, Dark-types such as Honchkrow can deal heavy damage with their STAB attacks or can Pursuit trap you Celebi; Choice Scarf Hydreigon in particular can take out weakened Celebi with Dark Pulse or straight-out OHKO with U-turn. and hydreigon can either be choice scarfed then u-turn all over you or use dark pulse to nail you.

**Steel-types** The best anti Celebi pokemon is Bronzong as it is immune to earth power however it cannot do anything back Being immune to Earth Power, Bronzong walls Celebi cold, though it can't do anything back. Specially defensive Mega Aggron can hit celebi decently hard but like bronzong cannot do much back can sponge most of Celebi's attacks while hitting back decently hard. Assault Vest Metagross is also a very good check to Celebi, as it can shake off an Earth Power and retaliate with an Ice Punch.

**U-turn** Being 4x weak to U-turn is Celebi's biggest downfall, and common users such as Mienshao and Jirachi are a giant thorn in Celebi's side thus make for great checks.

(add spaces between each section)

I'll be frank: this was pretty bad. Aside from the non-capitalizations and avoidable spelling errors, you really need to work on your prose: there was a clutch of run-on sentences and incorrect use of commas, and some sections were really difficult to understand. You also need to flesh out most of the 'Usage Tips' sections: contact a QC member in this regard if you're unsure what you need to write. Please take your time and make the changes carefully while going through my comments.

All right, we all have to start somewhere, so don't be aggrieved! Go through some of the on-site analyses to get an idea of the standards we expect from our writers. The Spelling and Grammar Standards thread Kangaaroo mentioned is another good link to go through. Also go through these links on commas and semi-colons so you can better use them in your write-ups. Feel free to contact me if you have any doubts with my changes; I'll be glad to help ^__^

You need to sort out the spacing on the slashes. They must be X / Y: not X/ Y.
Also, you need to put a line-sized gap between the swords dance set and team options of the set above it.

Overview

Celebi is a very interesting Pokemon with the wide variety of roles it can pull off. As one of the best Baton Passers in UU, Celebi can
baton pass Baton Pass Nasty Plot, Swords Dance, and Calm Mind boosts, as well as Substitute, allowing it to support offensive teams very well. It also has a vast movepool that includes it has with highlights such as with support options such as Perish Song and Stealth Rock, and coverage moves such as Earth Power. However, Celebi has several shortcomings, foremost among which is that mainly the fact that many of its roles are better done by other Pokemon more suited to the same. For instance, it is outclassed as a bulky cleric by Florges and Aromatisse, and it isn't quite as difficult to counter as Mew, which is much more versatile while having similar stats to Celebi.

Baton Pass
########
name: Baton Pass
move 1: Baton Pass
move 2: Giga Drain / Seed Bomb
move 3: Nasty Plot / Calm Mind / Swords Dance
move 4: Recover
item: Weakness Policy / Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 232 SpD / 24 Spe
nature: Calm / Careful

Moves
========
Baton Pass allows Celebi to both gain momentum and pass
off the boosts it has accumulated while also evading Pursuit. The second moveslot depends on what boosts Celebi will be passing. (AP) : (Remove Colon) use Giga Drain should be used in the third moveslot if it Celebi is running Nasty Plot or Calm Mind in the third moveslot, else otherwise, run Seed Bomb is the superior choice. The boosting move Celebi runs depends on the teammate(s) it will be passing to and as such differs based on team structure. Recover improves Celebi's longevity, allowing it to try pass another set of boosts later on in the match if need be. However, Substitute is usable over Recover as it allows the Baton Pass receiver to be safe from status moves.

Set Details
========
The EV spread allows Celebi to outspeed minimally invested base 100s and Adamant Honchkrow,
who which can Pursuit trap you Celebi, while making it as specially bulky as possible. Like the choice between Seed Bomb and Giga Drain, the nature you choose depends on the boosts you are Celebi will be passing: Calm for Nasty Plot or Calm Mind, and Careful for Swords Dance. Weakness Policy is the preferred item, (AC) as Celebi can easily take a super effective non-STAB attack such as Starmie's Ice Beam and get a convenient (albeit one-time) boost. Leftovers gives Celebi passive recovery and thus allows it to stay in a tad longer to potentially get off another boost or two to pass.

Usage Tips
========
You should bring Celebi in on a Pokemon it can scare out, such as Quagsire or Swampert. It can use the free turn to snatch a boost and then pass it to the appropriate teammate.

Team Options
========
Celebi's teammates should be ones that really like the boosts that it can pass off. Examples include
Mega Manectric, (banhammer) Nidoking, Noivern, and Chandelure for Nasty Plot; Nidoqueen, Blastoise, offensive Slowbro and Porygon2, and Roserade for Calm Mind; Entei, Flygon, Metagross, and offensive Mega Aggron for Swords Dance. A special mention goes to Aromatisse, as not only does it like a Calm Mind boost, but it also boasts an immunity to Taunt, a big check to Baton Pass Celebi. Fire-types such as Entei and Chandelure not only love Baton Pass support, (AC) but can also take on non-Choice Scarf Heracross, (RC) and KOing KO it with their respective STAB moves. Finally, Dugtrio can trap the many Steel- and Fire-types which give Celebi trouble.

Nasty Plot
########
name: Offensive Nasty Plot
move 1: Nasty Plot
move 2: Giga Drain
move 3: Psychic / Dazzling Gleam
move 4: Earth Power
item: Life Orb / Leftovers
evs:
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Def (Incorrect ordering of EVs)
nature: Timid

Moves
========
After a single Nasty Plot, Celebi reaches an astounding 598 Special Attack with a Timid nature
, (AC) which allows it to hit like an absolute truck coupled with life orb Life Orb. Giga Drain is Celebi's main STAB move, also acting as a source of recovery. Leaf Storm is usable over Giga Drain for its significantly higher Base Power, but however it cancels out the Nasty Plot boost. The third move depends on what kind of pokemon Pokemon you need Celebi to hit; Psychic hits Poison-types such as Crobat and Roserade, whilst while (for consistency) Dazzling Gleam hits Dark-types such as Hydreigon and Honchkrow, two of the most common switch-ins to Celebi. Baton Pass can also be used here, (AC) but this Celebi set focuses more on wallbreaking as opposed to passing boosts. Earth Power makes Fire-types think twice before switching into Celebi.

Set Details
========
The EV spread and Timid nature allow Celebi to hit as hard and fast as possible.
This allows you to outspeed up to base 114 max neutral natured Speed. (Unless you feel this is necessary information, I'd just remove it.) Life Orb is the recommended item as it gives Celebi more firepower. (AP) , (RC) however However, Leftovers and Miracle Seed are options if you detest Life Orb recoil. An alternative EV spread of 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe / 4 SpD allows you to lose 63 special attack although your special attack is still really high after a nasty plot sacrifices power for bulk, for that with the extra bulk giving Celebi the chance to survive attacks such as having a giving Celebi a 25% chance of surviving Mienshao's U-turn; it does, however, lower Celebi's Special Attack, though Celebi's its Special Attack is already quite anyway high after a Nasty Plot boost, anyways. This is spread is usually not optimal, (AC) though, because you do Celebi does not always OHKO Victini without Stealth Rock with Earth Power at +2, along with having no chance at +2 being unable to ko KO specially defensive aggron Specially Defensive Mega Aggron with earth power Earth Power.

Usage Tips
========
Bring Celebi in late-game against a Pokemon that
despises Celebi it can force out, such as Machamp similar to the first set. As they switch out, it Celebi can set up a Nasty Plot and then clean up. Although it is best used late game, Nasty Plot Celebi is a decent early game early-game wallbreaker as only a handful of Pokemon such as blissey and goodra can take Celebi's attacks at +2.

Team Options
========
Although Celebi is
pretty quite fast, Sticky Web support can be used just to make sure you outspeed Celebi outspeeds every non scarfed pokemon non-Choice Scarf Pokemon that isn't immune to sticky web Sticky Web.

Support
########
name: Support
move 1: Giga Drain / Psychic
move 2: Recover
move 3: Thunder Wave / Heal Bell / Stealth Rock
move 4: Baton Pass / Stealth Rock / Perish Song
item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 228 SpD / 24 Spe
(According to RotomPoison there are EVs missing here :o)
nature: Calm

Moves
========
The third moveslot
like the first comes down to what you need Celebi to do. Thunder Wave can be used to cripple faster threats, Heal Bell is usable if you want a non-Fairy-type cleric, and Stealth Rock is also an option if you don't have any other users of the same move on your team. On the fourth moveslot There are three options for the fourth moveslot as well. Baton Pass can be used to gain momentum and evade Pursuit, Stealth Rock is usable if you badly need a user, and Perish Song can make Celebi a terrific pivot. (I'm pretty sure Perish Song has nothing to do with being a pivot. Instead, mention how it's used to stop setup sweepers, and is a reliable win condition for when the opponent has only one Pokemon left.) However, do not ever never use Baton Pass with Perish Song, as Celebi will pass the amount of turns left to the receiver.

Set Details
========
As with the Baton Pass set, the EV spead and nature let Celebi outspeed minimally
based invested base 100s and Adamant Honchkrow. Leftovers is a given for the additional passive recovery it provides Celebi. An alternative EV spread of 252 HP / 228 Def / 24 Spe allows Celebi to be a better pivot against physical attackers such as Chesnaught, Snorlax, and Virizion.

Usage Tips

Support Celebi can usually
just be brought in on any neutral or resisted attack. It can then take advantage of the forced switch and use one of the utility move it has, such as Stealth Rock, Heal Bell, or Thunder Wave. It is advisable for Celebi to use Baton Pass when confronted with a Pursuit user such as Honchkrow. If you are running Stealth Rock on Celebi, then
run a Defiant or Competitive user such as Braviary or offensive Milotic makes for a good teammate, because as it can pressure your opponent into not Defogging; speaking of Braviary, it also helps beats Heracross. Victini can team up with Celebi to beat the Grass- and Steel-types that this set hates, while Celebi gets rid of the bulky Water-types that Victini can't struggles to get past.

Swords Dance
########
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Seed Bomb
move 3: Zen Headbutt / Recover
move 4: Sucker Punch / Recover
item: Leftovers / Life Orb
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
nature: Jolly / Adamant

Moves
========
Swords Dance Celebi can surprise opponents expecting a special attacking or support set. Seed Bomb is its strongest physical Grass
-type STAB attack. Though a tad unreliable, Sucker Punch hits other Psychic-types such as Mew and Victini hard along with Ghost-types such as Chandelure, which is are a major threat to Celebi. If you feel dual STAB coverage is too good to pass up, Recover can be used here as well. Aerial Ace is also a good option to hit Heracross and Mienshao on the switch.

Set Details
========

(please mention what threats Celebi will miss out on by not running +Spe) The item comes completely down to preference: if you prefer passive recovery then go with use Leftovers, but if you want that extra kick to Celebi's attacks go with Life Orb. Colbur Berry is also usable for Celebi to sponge the odd Knock Off or Pursuit, but it only works once.

Usage Tips
========
Even though
most likely, your opponent is most likely not prepared for this variation of Celebi, (AC) pokemon Pokemon such as Sableye should be eliminated before Celebi before Celebi attempts to sweep because having to switch out to shake off a burn late-game stops a lot of loses your momentum.

Team Options
========
Fighting-types such as Mienshao that can take out the Dark-types that trouble this set, such as Hydreigon, make for great offensive partners. Electric-types such as Raikou and Mega Ampharos work similarly, being able to KO Flying-type threats.
(Such as...?) Other than that, fast attackers such as Noivern and Choice Scarf Darmanitan once again pair well with Celebi, being able to pick off faster threats that would otherwise stop a sweep.

Other Options
########
While Celebi has a treasure trove variety of other options,
although not many of them function well. Charge Beam is an interesting option for a boosting move that as it isn't shut down by Taunt. Hidden Power Fire and Fighting can be used for coverage; the former hits Forretress hard, while the latter covers Dark-types such as Hydreigon. However, they have little other use, and Celebi anyway has Dazzling Gleam for hitting Dark-types.

Rotom-H in particular is
probably the best a great counter to Celebi, as it is immune to Earth Power and can nail Celebi with Overheat.

**Bug-types**: (Add Colon) Choice Scarf Heracross in particular can outspeed and OHKO Celebi with Megahorn, though it can take heavy damage from Psychic as it switches in. Similarly, Galvantula and Bug Bite Forretress can maim Celebi while setting up their respective entry hazards on it.

**Dark-types**: (Add Colon) Although none like a Dazzling Gleam, Dark-types such as Honchkrow can deal heavy damage with their STAB attacks or Pursuit trap Celebi. (AP) ; (RSC) Choice Scarf Hydreigon in particular can take out a weakened Celebi with Dark Pulse or straight-out up OHKO it with U-turn.

**Steel-types**: (Add Colon) Bronzong walls Celebi cold, though it can't do anything back. Specially defensive Mega Aggron can sponge most of Celebi's attacks while hitting back decently hard. Assault Vest Metagross is also a very good check to Celebi, as it can shake off Earth Power and retaliate back with Ice Punch.

**U-turn**: (Add Colon) Being 4x weak to U-turn is Celebi's biggest downfall, and common users such as Mienshao and Jirachi thus make for great checks.

Finished Ranger Mike! Definitely make sure to take a look at the Spelling and Grammar standards, and make an effort to capitalize moves, Pokemon names, and even the word "Pokemon".

Also tagging GatoDelFuego to look over this (Sorry if I'm bothering you!)
