Pet Mod Breeding Variants V4 [Slate 4: Creativity Burst] (Submission phase)

Name: Mr. Rime-Monk (Mr. Rime + Mienshao)
Egg Group: Humanlike
Stats: 85/105/75/110/100/70
Type: Ice/Fighting
Abilities:
Regenerator / Screen Cleaner // Ice Body
Moves: Hi Jump Kick, Aura Sphere, Ice Spinner, U-turn, Knock Off
Pokedex Entry: Monk Mr. Rime is a master of tap dancing and can move gracefully across any surface. It unleashes a flurry of kicks and whip-like strikes against its foes using both its cane and flexible body.
Potential Competitive Role: Offensive regenerator Pokemon that can choose between physical, special, and mixed attacking movesets. Can also set-up with Nasty Plot or Calm Mind.

Name: Raticate-Alola-Roasted (Alolan Raticate + Unovan Darmanitan)
Egg Group: Field
Stats: 75/106/70/40/80/77
Type: Fire/Dark
Abilities: Gluttony / Hustle // Sheer Force
New Moves:
Flame Wheel, Flare Blitz, Will-o-Wisp, Superpower, Belly Drum
Pokedex Entry: When Alolan Raticate breed with Darmanitan, it develops an internal flame sac, that it uses to keep itself warm during cold nights. It expels flames to cook its meals.
Potential Competitive Role: A physical set-up sweeper with both Swords Dance and Belly Drum.
You can correct me if I am wrong but I think these might be a bit weak weak for the power lever. The rime is ok but is pretty weak because of ice/fighting, I would suggest switching to psychic/fighting.

The rat is just too slow and frail for me to see it used. Also someone told me hot beats got in and I think that’s a darmanitan fusion so if that’s true then…
It isn’t so this is ok. I think i changed my mind if this gets flare blitz

I like ur subs tho

Anyways monks are kinda associated with the mental so it works

Second wave of comments on everything new posted since the last one. If you see red (or green if you're colourblind), this highlights something that makes your sub problematic and thus veto-worthy.
:Kilowattrel: :Clodsire:
Name: Kilowattrel-Muddier
Chubby birb: While one might argue the fact that it's apparently too heavy to fly should discourage the Flying-type, this is still a decent supportive option.
:sm/Typhlosion-Hisui: :sm/Wailord:
Name: Typhlosion- Hisui - Geyser
There she blows!: Considering more than half of the eleven winners have a speed tier below 95, I would not exactly say it's an unimpressive speed tier.

Missed out on Vishy's, hang on.
  • Syleveon-snowman (sylveon + darmanitan-galar)
This thing needs Zen Mode and a lack of physical opponents who can revenge kill it to function optimally.
  • Gourgeist-spiky and spooky :gourgeist: :stunfisk-galar:
I'm reminded of something an Ubertrainer subbed for a different Pet Mod. Anyway, it's attempting to be physically offensive, though its poor STAB options make it lacking.
  • Sandslash-alola-iridescent (:sandslash-alola: :sylveon:)
Great defensive bulk. If it's running Slush Rush, it might be a problem.

:decidueye-hisui::aerodactyl:
Name: Decidueye-Hisui-Fossil
:espeon::perrserker:
Name: Espeon-Valkyr
:weezing-galar::chandelure:
Name: Weezing-Galar-Lamplight
Abarekiller: Trades in more weaknesses for a much improved offensive profile. I am a bit worried with Dragon Dance, admittedly, because with one boost and it's certainly enough to demolish half the tier.
Valkyrieevee: A very offensive special attacker with good supportive options and average bulk.
Streetlamp: A decent utility counter.
:Maushold: :samurott-hisui:
Name: Maushold-Ronin
:gastrodon: :weezing-galar:
Name: Gastrodon-Purifier
Nezumi-Sama: An excellent hazard setter.
Slug: Good physical bulk and an decent defensive typing.
Name: Mr. Rime-Monk (Mr. Rime + Mienshao)

Name: Raticate-Alola-Roasted (Alolan Raticate + Unovan Darmanitan)
Jeet Kune Do: I'm not as confident to say it's viable in running a mixed set, but it does fit in being an (admittedly frail) pivot.
Kaso: This is very much a kamikaze set if you're going for Sheer Force/Life Orb. I will agree with Flufekinsdworb in that it's a bit too slow to use Belly Drum; Sword Dance would be a safer option.

I think you are underestimating the sylveon, I did also give it pixilate back. If slush rush is too much then yeah it doesn’t really have another ability, I was thinking -ate spin when I made it. I guess if snow cloak is banned then yeah it could be monopixilate. Yeah the gourgeist was more flavor ig, might replace it.

Still think ur underestimating the sylveon though

Also does me flipping the cursola-grapploct fusion make it good and balanced?

Just let people know that we have no coders hired for the Pet Mod. It’s simple as modifying some codes, so if anyone already coding Pet Mods before and you got plenty of spare time, let me know ASAP.

Any coder volunteering will be credited in the OP.

Here is an overdue countdown. Submission phase is closed, now we enter the veto phase.

This means no more submission allowed, but you can still modify your current submissions as you see fit and may have to if your submission got vetoed for being too strong or too weak.

The veto phase been ongoing for at least 48 hours already, and we feel it's time to start the voting phase without further delay. Unfortunately, we also have the first veto of this Pet Mod: ErrorMon 's Typhlosion- Hisui-Geyser remains vetoed. Everything else (which is not put in a spoiler folder) is tentatively legal to be voted for.

As usual, we vote for up to five submissions, with the topmost (or leftmost if horizontal) counting for two points. The submissions with the top three amount of points after 48 hours will be accepted.

You may only self-vote for one submission, and self-votes cannot be put as your first choice.

Example:
User 2’s Submission
User 1’s Submission (SV)
User 3’s Submission
User 2’s Submission
User 4’s Submission

subs are awesome.

Ayecrusher King's Ninetales-PoIno :zoroark-hisui: :ninetales-alola:

Flufekinsdworb's Rapidash-Galar-Haircaire :rapidash-galar: :dugtrio-alola:
Swagodile's Maushold-Ronin :maushold: :samurott-hisui:

The "one Mon having a Competitive Justification" thing will hopefully happen less. Even if I can't actually justify its use.
(so its an.. uppercase I. cool. thanks for the info :^))

I have a problem, I really like my sylveon-snowman and don’t really care about rapidash-haircare as much but I know no one is gonna vote for sylveon-snowman…

Votes will be here:

crobat-arrow
Sandslash-alola-iridescent(self-vote)
Espeon-valkyr
killowattrel-muddier
Sirfecht’d-roasted

Notes: the sand slash is kinda a balance between competitive and how much I like it. If slush rush is too much you can switch it to snow cloak or remove play rough

And done adding the winners.

You may continue discussing the winners while we plan out to decide our next slate.

:Ninetales-Alola::Zoroark-Hisui:
Name: Ninetales-PoIno
Egg Group: Field
Stats: 73 / 67 / 75 / 103 / 100 / 109
Type: Ice/Ghost
New Moves
: Phantom Force, Bitter Malice, Flamethrower, Knock Off, U-Turn
Abilities: Illusion | Snow Warning
Dex Entry: (From Professor Laventon's diary) We have been getting an increasing amount of complaints about this subspecies from everyone as of late. I have overheard Zisu admonish poor Keaka for letting his Keokeo Vulpix frolic with the local Zorua population unchecked.
:Maushold: :samurott-hisui:
Name: Maushold-Ronin
Egg Group: Field
Stats: 74/91/80/65/75/111
Type: Normal/Dark
New Moves: Ceaseless Edge, Sacred Sword, Knock Off, Slash, Night Slash
Abilities: Cheek Pounch/Technician/Sharpness
Dex Entry
: These Maushold are trained in the Way of the Wott.
Competitive Description: Population Bomb is boosted by Sharpness, so why not? It can clear hazards with Tidy Up, then set its own Spikes with Ceaseless Edge.
:espeon::perrserker:
Name: Espeon-Valkyr
Egg Group: Field
Stats: 65/65/80/130/95/110
Type:
Psychic.png
Steel.png

New Moves: Flash Cannon, U-Turn, Dark Pulse, Stealth Rock, Taunt
Abilities: Steely Spirit/Magic Bounce
Dex Entry: wip
:revavroom: :golem-alola:
Name: Revavroom - Ferrodrift
Egg Group: Mineral
Stats: 80/119/110/54/67/90
Type: Electric/Steel
New Moves: Explosion, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Volt Switch
Abilities: Galvanize/Overcoat/Filter
Dex Entry: These Revavroom use magnetic forces to move around instead of their wheels, they often engage in large races with one another across wide deserts. The Revavroom which come last are often ostracized.
Competitive Description: Shift Gear mon with strong ize STAB and good physical bulk, but can be pigeonholed into running Balloon due to ground weaknesses.

Here you go, all of the winning subs in one place.

My brief thoughts:

:ninetales-alola: Froslass at home. In all honesty this seems interesting, not sure if it will be more used as a Ghost-type Illusion Pokemon or an Aurora Veil Snow setter but both seem viable. The boost to its Special Attack is also nice.

:maushold: Seems a bit more annoying than the sum of its parts, but 4x Fighting weakness will likely keep it in check.

:espeon: Slightly disappointed that this doesn't have Steel Beam, as it could be a powerful suicide move thanks to Steely Spirit. Currently the only move it has to use with that ability is Flash Cannon, which is fine, but this will probably just be a slightly bulkier Magic Bouncer. I really hope to see this get a dex entry, and was surprised to see a winning entry not have one.

:revavroom: Shift Gear, Galvanize, and a Electric/Steel typing are all solid tools. While it was not my favourite of the submissions made, I do see the appeal.

You really though we were going for a specific theme for the fourth slate, hm? Well, April Fools.

:sv/swampert:Slate 4: Creativity Burst:sv/hitmontop:

No specific theme, just follow the standard submission rules. Submissions that fills the holds in term of niches (i.e. Rapid Spin users) will be highly encouraged.

Submission ends at Tuesday next week.

:hariyama: :cinderace:
Name: Hariyama-Goalkeeper
Egg Group: Human-like
Stats: 144/120/60/40/60/84
Type
: Fighting/Fire
New Moves
: Pyro Ball, Sucker Punch, Flame Charge, U-Turn, Court Change
Abilities: Thick Fat/Libero/Sheer Force
Dex Entry: A variety of Hariyama trained in sport instead of martial arts. Their large hands are effective at intercepting incoming attacks, whether in battle or on the field.
Competitive Description: Sheer Force Pyro Ball will hit like a truck, and Libero plus its plethora of coverage moves should allow for good versatility. Thick Fat will be very niche, but will be a Pokemon with high HP and 4x resistance to both Fire and Ice.

:archaludon: :carbink:
Name: Archaludon-Bifrost
Egg Group: Mineral
Stats: 90/105/130/125/108/85
Type: Rock/Dragon
New Moves: Ancient Power, Dazzling Gleam, Explosion, Power Gem, Rock Polish
Abilities: Clear Body/Sturdy/Stalwart
Dex Entry: Some Archaludon have been found in the depths of Area Zero, feeding off of the Terastylization energy and becoming crystalline themselves. Some say that standing on an Archaludon bridge while in this crystaline form will bring good fortune.
Competitive Description: Losing Stamina makes it harder for this Pokemon to snowball, in exchange for a significantly improved Special Defense. Rock typing and lack of recovery should make it manageable, while tools like Rock Polish and STAB Meteor Beam should make it offensively interesting.

:flygon: :drampa:
Name: Flygon-Boomer
Egg Group: Dragon
Stats: 80/100/80/108/80/100
Type: Ground/Normal
New Moves
: Calm Mind, Glare, Ice Beam, Play Rough, Thunderbolt
Abilities: Levitate/Berserk
Dex Entry
: No one is certain how old this variant of Flygon is. Some say they have lived for hundreds of years. Despite their age they still care for the young, often seen at daycares entertaining children and Pokemon.
Competitive Description: STAB Boomburst, what more do I need to say? Normal/Ground is a typing only on physical attackers, so the option for it on a special attacker should add some unique tools to the meta. Still has access to its classic Dragon Dance sets for those that would rather go that route, but Calm Mind + Boomburst is probably the way to go.

:manectric: :wailord: :manectric-mega:
Name: Manectric-Bloated [can Mega Evolve]
Egg Group: Field
Stats: 120/75/60/105/60/105 ( -> 120/75/80/135/80/135)
Type: Electric/Water
New Moves
: Aqua Ring, Ice Beam, Scald, Surf, Water Spout
Abilities: Static/Lightning Rod/Oblivious ( -> Intimidate)
Dex Entry: This Pokemon is sometimes spotted during thunderstorms at sea. It can swim at speeds up to 100 miles an hour.
Competitive Description: Mega Lanturn. Water/Electric with an Electric immunity is a very good defensive typing, and adding Ice Beam, Water moves, and a massive HP boost to Mega Manectric should make it very good at taking advantage of its 135 Special Attack and Speed.

:glalie: :raichu: :glalie-mega:
Name: Glalie-Storm Sphere [can Mega Evolve]
Egg Group: Fairy
Stats: 80/80/80/80/80/95 ( -> 80/120/80/120/80/115)
Type: Ice/Electric
New Moves
: Extreme Speed, Knock Off, Thunder Wave, Volt Switch, Volt Tackle
Abilities: Inner Focus/Ice Body/Lightning Rod ( -> Refrigerate)
Dex Entry: Stories tell of a Snorunt that climbed to the top of a tall peak and was struck by lightning. That Pokemon supposedly evolved to become a powerful Glalie that could control the elements.
Competitive Description: Physical BoltBeam is not something you see often but should work well. With Volt Tackle, Double Edge/Return, and now Extreme Speed, Mega Glalie should be a scary physical attacker held back by the number of hits it can safely dish out.

I will make a spinner
Hide: deleted
Subs here:

Breloom-adrenaline (breloom + morpeko)
:breloom: :morpeko:
Egg group: fairy
Fighting/dark
technician/poison heal/hunger switch
60/130/80/60/60/83
New moves: rapid spin, aura wheel, knock off, parting shot, fake out.

Dex: This variant of breloom is always moving. With a quick temper and a refusal to sit still, not to mention their gigantic appetite, these breloom are very hard to train. They can be quite pleasant when trained though.

Competitive: I really don’t know what type this should be… opinions? It’s very menacing wall breaker with the effective triple stabs provided by aura wheel, probably too strong with stab. With the speed boosts from rapid spin/ aura wheel, this becomes a frightening sweeper. Too frail to be a support but has some fun tools if you wanna make it work

Bronzong-starfall (bronzong + minior-meteor)
:bronzong: :minior-meteor:
Steel/flying
Levitate/heatproof/shields down
67/89/116/79/116/47
67/129/76/119/76/107
New moves: acrobatics, u-turn, last resort, cosmic power, dazzling gleam.

Dex: this form of bronzong is extremely rare and scientists do not really know what the cause of this peculiar transformation is, only that it happens rarely during meteor showers.its exterior is made of a odd steel that is very resistant to the elements. Only the ones with weaker coatings reveal their luminescent core inside the bell, which much be the source of the otherworldly chimes they create. When they chime, it summons otherworldly space debris to crash on their enemies.

Notes: the form used here is meteor form for when not using shields down. I think this is legal?

If using heatproof, this mon has only one weakness, making it a great tank. Really just bronzong with a better type.

If using shields down, can either use grassy seed + our rillaboom fusion, or meteor beam mabye. 110 bp acrobatics with 129 base attack and 107 speed is very powerful but acrobatics is very weak with a item and its only flying stab. Could switch averaged stat to attack if too strong.

Morpeko-overprotective (morpeko + blissey)
:morpeko: :blissey:
Electric/normal
Egg group: fairy
Hunger switch/serene grace
156
/95/58/70/58/97
New moves: wish, soft-boiled, heal bell, body slam, stealth rock.

This form of morpeko cares a lot about its companions health. If a companion is hurt, it will go and heal them. If someone hurt their companions, they would attack them.

Spinner and bulky tank And also does decent damage with aura wheel

Grapploct-diva (grapploct + jynx)
:grapploct: :jynx:
Fighting/psychic
80/118/90/93/80/42
Egg group: humanlike
Technician/limber/dry skin
New moves: psycho cut, frost breath, draining kiss, wish, heal bell

:sv/tangrowth: :sv/scovillain:

Name: Tangrowth-Western
Egg Group: Grass
Stats
: 100/100/125/110/57/50
Type: Grass / Fire
New Moves
: Lash Out, Flamethrower, Temper Flare, Sandstorm, Will-O-Wisp.
Abilities: Chlorophyll / Insomnia / Regenerator
Dex Entry: "This town ain't big enough for the two of us", as many say about Tangrowth-Western. Their spicy demeanor and tendency to spurt flames out of their hands as if they were holding firearms have proved them worthy enough of the title "Spaghetti Western".
Competitive Outlook: Greater than the sum of its parts, Tangrowth-Western gets to be a rather.. fringe defensive piece, with its Grass / Fire typing packing handy resistances. With Tangrowth-Western being able to mix up sets with its potent power. Somewhat of a Rillaboom-Hot Beats opposite.

:sv/Blastoise: :sv/Salazzle:
Name: Blastoise-Slick
Egg Group: Monster
Stats: 79/83/100/85/105/97
Type
: Water / Poison
New Moves
: Foul Play, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Poison Jab, Taunt.
Abilities: Torrent / Corrosion
Dex Entry
: A malicious species of Blastoise, sporting toxin-tipped claws and a tendency to rally others with a poisonous gas. Many report seeing this Pokemon laying flat on the surface of large bodies of water. Nobody knows why exactly they do this.
Competitive Outlook: Tentacruel 2. Blastoise-Slick uses the amazing ability of Salazzle to great use, being able to poison stall and be a useful utility Tank with its Rapid Spin, Roar, Haze and Flip Turning capabilities. No recovery though.

:sv/Infernape: :sv/toxtricity:
Name: Infernape-Pop Rock
Egg Group: Human-Like
Stats: 76 / 104 / 71 / 107 / 71 / 108
Type: Fire / Electric
New Moves
: Overdrive, Psychic Noise, Wild Charge, Hex, Hyper Voice
Abilities: Blaze / Punk Rock
Dex Entry
: A special breed of Infernape created by commission from a popular Galarian band. These Pokemon are incredibly peppy and loud. When excited, these Infernape strum their chests, making loud sounds.
Competitive Outlook: What if Infernape was good? Infernape-Pop Rock does what Toxtricity and Infernape couldn't; Be a real powerhouse. With a powerful pair of Electric and Fire STAB moves. Probably a bit too strong for this meta's power level, though.
Flavor: air balloon

:sv/sandaconda: :sv/incineroar:
Name: Sandaconda-Heel
Egg Group: Field
Stats: 72/107/125/65/80/71
Type: Ground / Dark
New Moves
: Fake Out, Darkest Lariat, Parting Shot, U-Turn, Taunt.
Abilities: Sand Spit / Shed Skin / Intimidate
Dex Entry
: Sandaconda-Heel take more after their Incineroar parents than their Sandaconda parents, being incredibly rowdy and pulling many underhanded tricks. Despite their mobility appearing limited, they are hasty when it comes to attacking.
Competitive Outlook: Sandaconda-Heel gets some amazing qualities like Coil and Glare. Incineroar also gets some amazing qualities, like Intimidate and Fake Out. Fuse them together and you get Sandaconda-Heel. A menace locked behind rather.. middling speed. But there's always Scale Shot.
flavor: Kilowattrel-Muddier 2; Snakes On A Wrestling Mat Edition

:Drapion::Kleavor:
Name: Drapion-Augur
Egg Group: Bug

:Scrafty::Sandaconda:
Name: Scrafty-Desvega
Egg Group: Dragon
Stats: 65 / 90 / 115 / 45 / 115 / 65
Type: Ground/Fighting
New Moves: High Horsepower, Scorching Sands, Glare, Coil, Scale Shot
Abilities: Shed Skin / Sand Spit | Intimidate
Dex Entry: Veiled by the sandstorms they spit out, these Scrafty gang up on their predators.
Side notes: This one might be familiar to some Gen X participants...

:Camerupt:/:Camerupt-Mega::Tauros-Paldea-Aqua:
Name: Camerupt-Pumpback
Egg Group: Field
Stats: 70 / 100 / 70 / 115 / 75 / 70 -> 70 / 120 / 100 / 140 / 105 / 50
Type: Fire/Water
New Moves: Aqua Jet, Liquidation, Wave Crash, Hydro Pump, Bulk Up
Abilities: Intimidate / Solid Rock | Anger Point -> Sheer Force
Dex Entry: This oasis-oriented variety of Camerupt are surprisingly buoyant, but much more trigger-happy. So beware, they are able to spurt scalding geysers when angered.

:Misdreavus::Weezing-Galar:
Name: Misdreavus-Hazed (Eviolite-Compatible)
Egg Group: Amorphous
Stats: 60 / 60 / 80 / 85 / 85 / 85
Type: Ghost / Fairy
New Moves: Strange Steam, Acid Spray, Clear Smog, Defog, Haze
Abilities: Levitate | Neutralising Gas
Dex Entry: This variety of Misdreavous is said to float around the sky at night with its long hair writhing about it. From its noxious gems, it releases fumes that make those who inhale it perceive it as a pterosaur.

:Tinkaton::Falinks:
Name: Tinkaton-Hunter
Egg Group: Fairy
Stats: 85 / 88 / 77 / 70 / 105 / 94
Type: Fairy/Fighting
New Moves: Upper Hand, Body Press, No Retreat, First Impression,
Abilities: Mold Breaker / Own Tempo | Defiant
Dex Entry: These Tinkaton traded in their metallic obsessions for a more adapt usage of their hammers. Let even Charizard and Tyrantrum beware!
