pretty happy about finally having an individual to my name. Fittingly, it was with the generation that got me interested in ZU old gens back in early 2019, when I was still new to the discord. Rby/gsc didn't even exist yet, and ADV was sparsely even recognized. Between dpp and bw, I liked the latter more just due to "first-game played" bias and wanted to learn and innovate for the tier, which at the time meant playing friendlies with essentially just the one or two other people who knew anything about the tier. Tack). Regardless, the small community at the time felt like every new thing you used would suddenly pick up traction and become meta. I don't want to "claim" I made Solrock as popular as it was when Marowak was still in the tier, but I spammed it a lot and noticed other people begin to both use and adapt to it (Smack Down Marowak for instance). Then there was the whole escapade leading up to BreadWinners with trying to figure out Frillish, Spikes, and a ton of other mons that ended up resulting in one of my favorite

Fast-forward to last year's classic: I clinched a spot in playoffs in part to making a deep BW cup run up to finals, where I lost to Soup. No biggie -- happens, and I was more impressed by Soup's dominant showing across the entire classic as a whole that year.
