Nah, seriously. Soft Reseting is just saving before the wanted poke, and resetting until you get a good one.

it is called soft reseting because you press a certen set of buttons (i think L R stat and select) and it resets the game to the last save.

soft reseting is simpley saving before you encounter a poke, catching sed poke, checking EVs/Nature, and pressing a certain amount of buttons to return to the title screen if the IVs/Nature were unsatisfactory

the combination is L+R+START+SELECT for D/p. It's A+B+START+SELECT for adv games
