Volcarona makes for a threatening late-game sweeper thanks to Quiver Dance, strong coverage moves, and a decent defensive profile. Fire Blast can be slotted over Flamethrower to hit much harder, notably OHKOing most variants of Gholdengo, but Flamethrower is usually better because of its consistency. Volcarona can utilize Giga Drain with Tera Grass to hit a plethora of Water-type Pokemon like Gastrodon, Rotom-W, and Urshifu-R hard, in addition to Ground- and Rock-types such as Great Tusk and Garganacl. Hidden Power Ground and Tera Ground help Volcarona bypass checks like Toxapex and Heatran after slight chip damage while also removing Volcaronra’s glaring Rock weakness. Psychic with Tera Psychic allows Volcarona to break through Clodsire and Toxapex more reliably, but it is inferior to either of the previously mentioned Tera types due to its greater vulnerability to being revenge killed, and it leaves Volcarona completely stonewalled by Heatran. Flame Body can threaten to burn physical attackers like Mega Lopunny and Zamazenta, crippling them. Bulky Dragon-types like Dragonite and Garchomp can use it as setup fodder—with the latter additionally threatening Volcarona’s longevity with Toxic—so allies that can handle them such as Ferrothorn and Rotom-W are great partners to support Volcarona in its sweep. Heatran and Toxapex wall Volcarona if it doesn’t have Hidden Power Ground, so teammates like that can check them such as Garchomp and the aforementioned Rotom-W are much appreciated. We have decided to QC reject this analysis in its current state. There is just alot of fluff that needs trimming (each set should realistically have one paragraph). In addition, a few statements (like Volcarona solely being an HO mon) simply aren’t true. I’ll give you 48 hours to shorten this analysis, and we’ll check it again.

Think I cut off about 90% of the fluff to make it shorter: also I didn't mean to convey the idea that it is solely a HO mon, sorry. Down to 14 sentences for first set and 11 for the second: hopefully acceptable now. Thanks!

Offensive Volcarona naturally fits on balance, fast-paced offensive, or even Cyclizar Screen teams as they appreciate its natural bulk and power and Quiver Dance. Volcarona is a dangerous sweeper thanks to Quiver Dance, strong STAB moves, and good coverage, while also providing good defensive utility, checking Pokemon such as Mega Scizor, Gholdengo, and Kartana. insert introduction about volcarona; i.e about qd, its strong stabs, and defensive utility Volcarona's ability to close out games after its checks are chipped or eliminated is very threatening, making it an excellent win condition that the opponent must always be aware of lest it runs away with the game. here i would cover the coverage options; such as giga drain / hp ground / psychic, then talk about tera Tera Ground helps Volcarona bypass previous checks like Toxapex, Clodsire you lose to toxic and dont do enough damage; id prob mention a mon like Skeledirge here, and Heatran and fast water-type attackers like scarfed Urshifu-R with either Tera Ground or Grass respectively, or allow it to set up with the type change. The downside is that without proper support like hazards and Knock Off Volcarona can't consistently break past checks like Clodsire without Terastallization. It is dependent on Terastallizing to break past these common checks, and the opponent can also Tera in return to check it, like none Bug Buzz Volcarona against Tera Grass Heatran. It will almost always want Tera Ground's coverage to hit the previously mentioned Poison- and Fire-Type checks as they are far more common roadblocks to it. super super fluff here seems like just rambling, id replace some more benefits from tera ground such as removing your rock weakness and etc Tera Grass can be used with Giga Drain to surprise Urshifu-R or Mega Swampert seeking to revenge kill it i would say more notable options can be listed here such as great tusk or garchomp, though it's very situational and is inferior to Tera Ground's potential coverage. tera grass is the superior option that grass due to its defensive utility and in general being more threatening; so i would remove that snippet and change the order of the list of tera types Max Special Attack and speed along with a Modest nature allows it to get better rolls to 2HKO Clodsire with Tera Blast Ground. A Timid nature can be used to outspeed Scarfed Urshifu-R, but it will hinder its ability to break past the checks mentioned above. i would just list that modest can be used but can be revenge killed more; as timid is the superior nature and modest is the okay one to use Volcarona's Flame Body is more beneficiary to it than Swarm as it is less situational and getting a burn on revenge killers can provide crucial opportunities for its teammates to exploit. just explain the pros of flame body as no one would consider using swarm at all Bulky Dragons Pokemon like Dragonite can use it as set-up fodder and Garchomp can threaten it with either Toxic or Earthquake while living at least one boosted hit from full. and Garchomp can use it as set-up fodder, while the ladder can also threaten it with a Toxic. Thus, Corviknight use a better example and Physically Defensive no need to mention it Ferrothorn is much appreciated as they can check bulky Dragons mention more mons besides bulk dragons and support Volcarona by pivoting to it or setting hazards. can prob change this sentence once u add new mons as they can prob do something else for it Chansey and Blissey sit on it no matter what coverage moves it may run use better examples and reword this a little, feels odd, thus strong physical attackers like Mega Lopunny, Urshifu-R, and Physical Dragapult mention something else are much appreciated. Another notable teammate to have is Tera Grass Trapper Heatran, who can eliminate or massively chunk Toxapex, Clodsire, and Skeledirge, Blissey, and Chansey while helping and help check sunteams.

Bulky Volcarona is what one makes when they want to have a win condition that can punish physical attackers with burns and have reliable recovery. this sounds weird; try rewording this Due to its four times Stealth Rock weakness and passivity without Quiver Dance boosts, it can be difficult to fit on either bulky or offense team compositions. making it seem bad here doesnt sound right; it is here for a reason Its Heavy-Duty Boots can easily be knocked off, making it difficult to do its job with hazards on your side, and its lack of power and coverage even after boosts is very noticeable. fluff again; does this really have to be mentioned at the beginning? However, it can reliably wall Mega Scizor and Mega Mawile provided Heavy-Duty Boots are intact and hazards are off the field and punish weak physical attacks like Fake Out and U-turn with burns. just reword this with examples and prob more mons that bulkarona sits on like tusk Bulky Volcarona distinguishes itself from other users of Flame Body like Heatran by boosting reliable recovery, being a potential win-condition with Quiver Dance, and checking Iron Defense and Choice Band Zamazenta and Iron Valiant, and Rain teams with Tera Grass. add this in tera section This set runs Timid with 84 Speed investment to outspeed Timid or Jolly Dragapult after a Quiver Dance, with the rest dumped in HP and Defense. to survive Tera Water Wave Crash Choice Banded Floatzel under Rain rom full after Terastallizing to Grass-type. An alternative set with U-turn over Quiver Dance and 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD with a Bold Nature allows it to have a high chance to be 3HKOed by Mega Lopunny's Return instead of being 2HKOed and allows it to gain momentum against the opponent switching out with U-turn, thought it misses on Quiver Dance's ability to directly pressure the opponent. fluff too Will-O-Wisp can be used to directly punish set-up sweepers like Dragonite and Garchomp that think it can freely set up in front of it. move this up further Volcarona struggles with status conditions as it hinders its ability to check threats like Zamazenta and Iron Valiant in the long run. Its defensive typing is not the best, and with its dependency on its item to mitigate the four times weakness of Stealth Rock is not desirable. It is easily abused by Dragon-type sweepers like Garchomp, Dragapult, Baxcalibur, and Dragonite, and even running Will-O-Wisp Baxcalibur and Dragapult still abuse it as set-up fodder, mention other threats besides bax, prob something else like mttar and add mons like mlop thus checks like Scarf Tapu Lele, Defensive Ferrothorn, and Kingambit is much appreciated.
