While making this team I was look for a more balanced playstyle. When I say, "balanced" I mean, 2 walls, 2 sweepers, and 2 support pokemon. When messing around with Marriland's team builder, I noticed that all of them have great coverage. Though there may be a bit of flaws. Now let's look at the team.

The Physical Wall

Modo (Skarmory) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Spikes
- Whirlwind

Going down the list of potential defensive walls, I instantly went to Skarmory. It has amazing typing, a great movepool, carrying both Spike and Stealth Rock. Whirlwind is for the situation of nearly being swept by say a: Terrakion? He can sponge a Stone Edge or Close Combat. He may have some scratches on him, but there's nothing that Roost can't fix. Spikes is basically for hazard set-up. Though it's only best to set them up after the Spinner has fainted. Then, Brave Bird is there to put heavy damage on the opponent.

The Special Sweeper
251.gif

Celebi @ Leftovers Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 220 HP / 252 SAtk / 36 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Giga Drain
- Psychic
- Earth Power
Suggested by IbanezObsession

As a suggestion for Ibanez, I had 3 weaknesses to water, and only one resistance. I was very weak to water, so adding a Grass type evened out the amount of weaknesses and resistances. Having a bulky sweeper has many advantages: they can take hits, whist setting up Calm Mind, Nasty Plot, Bulk Up, ect. Grass, Phsychic, and Ground can have great coverage for Heatran and many others.

Blastoise (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Scald
- Roar (suggested by RzRHawk)
- Toxic

This guy is here to serve as my special wall. You don't really see Blastoise in OU that much, so I guess that's a bit of originality to this team. The reason I pick him over all others is because of it being one of my favorite pokemon. Also it can be a Rapid Spin supporter, having use along with Volcarona. Having Rain Dish can be of use when against a Rain Team. It can restore as much as Lefties does each turn, so it's like having two leftovers. Scald is for physical attackers, having a burn chance is better than an extra 15 damage. Dragon Tail is good for phasing, which means I have two phasers. Toxic is for wearing down other walls.

The Physical Sweeper

Terrakion @ Life Orb
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Rock Polish
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat

This guy is here to be my physical sweeper. With his great type coverage, he can sweep basically everything in the OU tier. Life Orb is great for the extra power you need to OHKO everything. Rock Polish is for outspeeding maybe a Scarf Landorus, or a Jolteon. If you get to +2 in both attack and speed, you can easily sweep through any team, you may need the SR support to get rid of Donphan, Skarmory, and Forretress's Sturdy ability. Other than that, he can sweep pretty easily.

The Choice Scarfer
645.gif

Landorus (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sand Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- U-turn

It's the scarfer we all know and love, Randurosu. He can be a great scarf pokemon with his amazing attack, and decent speed. Though he can be very predictable as a scarfer. Hidden Power Ice is for Gliscor. Having the extra spec attack can ensure an OHKO. U-turn for a wilechase move. EQ for good STAB, and Stone Edge for coverage. He can also make use of the Sand Stream from Tyranitar, raising his attack power.

The 2nd Choice Pokemon
135.gif

Yggy (Jolteon) (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Shadow Ball

This guy is basically here to be a speedy secondary mini-sweeper. Volt switch is there for a wilechase move. Hidden Power Ice for Gliscor, and Shadow Ball for coverage. Having be one of the fastest in the whole game, Specs suits this pokemon very well. With his amazing speed, and average spec attack, he can be a potent special attacker. The only things that have potential of outspeeding it is a scarfed pokemon.

If you have any suggestion about how I can improve this team, it will be greatly appreciated. ^^

Ive used the same Blastoise as you are wanting to use and dragon tail hasnt been working to well ya it does damage....not alot but some but if your opponent is behind a sub then your screwed, and if you Skar is dead your all but done, I switched to Roar instead of Dtail just for that reason it doesnt do damage but if your skar got his hazards up then itll make up for it and ensure that the sub sets wont destroy your life.

Hi Puppet,

Sorry I don't have time for a full rate, but just looking at your team, you are definitely weak to Rain teams as you have 3 weaknesses and only 1 resistance to it. I am recommending you replace Volcarona with Nasty Plot Celebi in order to threaten key threats on Rain teams out and add another Water resistance as well.

Celebi
Celebi @ Leftovers Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 220 HP / 252 SAtk / 36 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Giga Drain
- Psychic
- Earth Power

Again, sorry I couldn't fully rate the team, but I'm sure this will be a good start to help improving your team.

Best of luck!

Would go with HP Fire over Earth Power on Celebi because, as it is, Ferrothorn walls a little bit too much of your team for my liking. Terrakion can kill it but can't switch in, Blastoise and Jolteon are hard-walled, Landorus can 3HKO but needs to lock itself into the risky EQ and Skarm can only really exchange hazards.

Hello Meta Master :)

Your team still has huge weakness agaisnt Water types and Rain teams. So I would greatly suggest to use Scarfed Rotom-w over Jolteon, Because Water/Electric is really good agaisnt Rain teams. Rotom-W has better move pool and is enough fast with scarf. Trick is also usefull supporting move. And indeed Rotom-W isnt frail weak Jolteon, which makes me think why Raikou isnt OU? Rotom-w and Landorus makes really nice VoltTurn combo.

-I just want point that Hidden Power Fire definitely should be used over Phychic, not Earthpower... Psychic real doesnt give any usefull coverage and Grass stab is just enough.

Good luck and Im looking forward to your team! :D Maybe we can battle? -get your ass to skype ;p

Hello Meta Master :)

-I just want point that Hidden Power Fire definitely should be used over Phychic, not Earthpower... Psychic real doesnt give any usefull coverage and Grass stab is just enough.

Running HP Fire over Psychic would make Celebi hard walled by Dragons and with a lot of them in the tier, it's much better to run HP Fire over Earth Power instead.

Dragonite, Gengar and Bulk Up Breloom are all fairly problematic to this team and Psychic gives you a bit more versatility in taking them down. Outside of beating Heatran and hitting specific targets in the Rain, Earth Power's coverage overlaps with HP Fire quite a bit.
