No, I don't actually. You can give it a shot if you'd like.
IV check is useful for this, or so AromaFlora says, as you can catch a pokemon to check your delay rather than using coin flips because the NPC will probably make the frames go haywire...
Unless you want to breed it, that is.

Hm, well I'll have a look and try to figure out the best way to approach it, and if I'm struggling then maybe I'll resort to breeding lol. Would there be a difference in credits as to whether it was caught or bred?

Well for breeding I'm paying 3 credits, with the conditions stated at the top of my wants post.
Since capture is obviously harder, I'd be inclined to pay more probably.

Ok, well I'll look up some spreads and let you know how it's going tomorrow. I think maybe if I can get the delay up high enough, and a really low frame, maybe I could just have the journal auto-open and do the flips every time, and catch only when I happen to see a growlithe. I just hate trying to adjust how I do things to use the AR, it was hard for me to get used to it with breeding. I'm not sure yet, I want to start working on it now but I have to find a syncher first lol

If you can't hit higher delays perhaps breeding would be a better option

Haha yeah I just started using emloop and it seems easier than doing it the other way, just found one at a delay of 2900 something. Now I have to go find my fire red, or otherwise there was no point to this :P

Edit: Finished!! It took me maybe 5-6 tries. Caught 1/1/2009. I'll have it EV'd by tomorrow evening.
