[OVERVIEW]
Vanilluxe is one of NeverUsed's most ferocious wallbreakers due to its ability Snow Warning, which gives its powerful Blizzard perfect accuracy, and when Vanilluxe is equipped with Choice Specs, there are very few Pokemon that can switch into it without being 2HKOed. Freeze-Dry also helps immensely in Vanilluxe's wallbreaking potential, enabling it to break past Pokemon such as Slowbro, Slowking, and Vaporeon. Although Vanilluxe doesn't have a whole lot of coverage, the sheer power of STAB Ice-type attacks, alongside Flash Cannon to deal with Ice-types and different types of Hidden Power, means Vanilluxe still holds its ground as a fantastic wallbreaker. Unfortunately, Vanilluxe's defensive stats are very poor, and, when combined with its unimposing Speed stat, Vanilluxe is easily picked off and very susceptible to a lot of offensive threats. Additionally, there are some Pokemon that have the defensive utility to stop Vanilluxe in its tracks, such as Hariyama, Piloswine, and Silvally-Steel, which can all stomach Vanilluxe's attacks and retaliate with their own.

Moves
========
Blizzard is Vanilluxe's strongest and most spammable STAB attack, dealing tremendous damage to most Pokemon in NU, and Snow Warning lets it have perfect accuracy. Freeze-Dry is necessary to nail Ice-resistant Pokemon such as Slowbro, Slowking, and Blastoise, which could otherwise check it. Flash Cannon deals with opposing Ice-types such as Cryogonal and Piloswine, as well as dealing massive damage to Diancie and dishing effective damage to Gigalith. Hidden Power Ground can be used to hit Steel-types like Probopass, Silvally-Steel, and Togedemaru, and it can also deal sufficient damage to Fire-types like Incineroar, Houndoom, and Delphox. Toxic is an option to catch out and cripple bulky Vanilluxe switch-ins, such as Hariyama, Magmortar, and bulky Incineroar.
Set Details
========
Choice Specs increases Vaniluxe's power greatly, making it much harder to switch into. Snow Warning is essential to Vanilluxe's roster, making Blizzard perfectly accurate and whittling down foes to mitigate their roles in checking Vanilluxe. Maximum Special Attack investment alongside a Modest nature allows Vaniluxe to hit as hard as it can, whilst maximum Speed investment enables it to outpace threats like Incineroar, Malamar, and Garbodor.
Usage Tips
========
Vanilluxe should be brought in against Ice-weak Pokemon and try to fire off powerful attacks straight away to dent the opponent's team. Some examples of Pokemon it should try to pivot in against include Druddigon, Golbat, Palossand, Xatu, Gastrodon, and Altaria. Due to Vanilluxe's pitiful overall bulk, prediction should be used to attempt to get it in the field against Pokemon that it can hit hard but cannot safely switch into, such as Steelix, Rhydon, and Guzzlord. Thanks to Vanilluxe's amazing offensive presence, if the opponent has a Fire-type like Delphox or Incineroar in the back, Vanilluxe is free to start firing off attacks, as most frailer Fire-types are 2HKOed by Blizzard. However, Vanilluxe should think twice before clicking a STAB Ice-type attack if the opponent has a bulkier Ice-type or Ice-resistant Pokemon such as Silvally-Steel, Piloswine, Assault Vest Magmortar, Togedemaru, Cryogonal, Alolan Sandslash, or Thick Fat Hariyama, as they can either tank any of Vanilluxe's attacks and force it out or OHKO it or they require prediction in which attack to go for. Klinklang can also set up against Vanilluxe and proceed to wreak havoc in battle, so make sure to switch into a check or counter immediately. Toxic should be used if Pokemon that can wall Vanilluxe are being switched in, such as Hariyama, Cryogonal, and Miltank.
Team Options
========
Vanilluxe appreciates VoltTurn support so it can come in safely against the Pokemon that it can exploit well. Some notable VoltTurn users are Rotom, Silvally-Steel, bulky Incineroar, and Scyther, as they can beat Vanilluxe's checks. Fighting-types like Passimian work well with Vanilluxe, as they can deal with Steel-, Ice-, and Rock-types with efficiency. Passimian can also lure in Pokemon like Slowbro so Vanilluxe can begin to fire off attacks. Fire-resistant Pokemon like Diancie, Rhydon, and Incineroar make good teammates for Vanilluxe, as they can handle Pokemon such as Houndoom and Delphox well. Pokemon that can dispose of Fighting-types like Hariyama and Toxicroak are good partners for Vanilluxe, such as Slowbro, Venusaur, Whimsicott, and Palossand. A Klinklang countermeasure is necessary when using Vanilluxe on a team, so Pokemon like Steelix, Slowbro, and Palossand make nice partners to complement Vanilluxe. Toxicroak can also revenge kill Klinklang with Vacuum Wave if it's in range.

Moves

Blizzard is Vanilluxe's most powerful STAB attack as well as its most spammable due to Snow Warning perfecting its accuracy. Freeze-Dry breaks through Water-types that resist Blizzard. Taunt shuts down bulkier foes such as Cryogonal and Audino and hinders Pokemon like Piloswine, Gigalith, and Ferroseed, preventing them from setting up entry hazards. Taunt also prevents Klinklang and Incineroar from setting up if predicted correctly. Toxic puts Pokemon that can wall Vanilluxe on a timer, such as Hariyama, Cryogonal, Incineroar, Miltank, Delphox, and Magmortar.
Set Details
========
Icicle Plate gives Vanilluxe the opportunity to switch up its moves and boosts its Ice-type attacks. Snow Warning sets up hail, which ensures that Blizzard always hits and helps at chipping down foes. Full investment in Special Attack and Speed alongside a Modest nature maximizes Vanilluxe's offensive potential and ensures that Vanilluxe is as fast as possible. A Timid nature can be used over Modest to enable Vanilluxe to outrun threats such as Modest Venusaur and Adamant Toxicroak, but the drop in power can be significant.
Usage Tips
========
Taunt should be used on a predicted switch if the opponent has a Pokemon that can wall Vanilluxe and relies on utility moves, such as Piloswine, Gigalith, Ferroseed, Cryogonal, or Klinklang. Toxic can be used if the opponent is expected to bring in a bulkier Pokemon such as Hariyama, Cryogonal, Incineroar, Magmortar, Delphox, or Piloswine. The combination of Taunt + Toxic can completely nullify more defensively oriented teams, shutting down bulkier Pokemon like Audino, Cryogonal, and Miltank. Vanilluxe should still utilize its Ice-type attacks when necessary, as its sheer force in tandem with the boost from Icicle Plate is still very strong.
Team Options
========
Steel-types like Silvally-Steel, Togedemaru, Probopass, and Alolan Sandslash are unfazed by Vanilluxe's Ice-type attacks and are unaffected by Toxic, so checks to them are greatly advised; Steelix, Slowbro, Rotom, and Gastrodon are good partners for it. Although Vanilluxe has Taunt to prevent Klinklang from setting up, checks to it are still necessary; the aforementioned Pokemon that can check Steel-types can all also check Klinklang efficiently. Fire-types pose major threats to Vanilluxe, so teammates that can deal with them are advised; Rhydon and Diancie check most Fire-types well and can set up entry hazards to support the team, and other checks like Slowbro, Guzzlord, Incineroar, Houndoom, and Slowking can also work effectively. Faster Fighting-types can revenge kill Vanilluxe and Hariyama can tank its attacks with ease, so partners that can reliably answer them are encouraged, such as Slowbro, Whimsicott, Xatu, and Palossand. Sneasel is a massive threat to Icicle Plate Vanilluxe, resisting its STAB attacks and being unbothered by Taunt, so Pokemon that can take advantage of Sneasel like Toxicroak, Incineroar, Passimian, and Houndoom make for good team members.

Choice Scarf is used to convert Vanilluxe into a revenge killer and greatly increases its Speed stat, letting it outrun Pokemon like Whimsicott, Sceptile, Vivillon, and Heliolisk and deal hefty damage to them. Snow Warning can chip away at foes and ensures Blizzard has perfect accuracy. Maximal Special Attack and Speed investment with a Timid nature ensures that Vanilluxe will hit as hard as possible and be as fast as possible so that it can revenge kill to the best of its ability.
Usage Tips
========
Choice Scarf Vanilluxe can be used to surprise certain offensive threats that may expect Vanilluxe to be slower than it, such as Whimsicott, Venusaur, Heliolisk, Sneasel, and Toxicroak. Vanilluxe appreciates coming into battle with the help of VoltTurn; being brought onto the field by a pivot ensures that Vanilluxe will be taking as little damage as possible. Choice Scarf Vanilluxe is used best against more offensively oriented teams, as they usually don't have a sustainable Ice-resistant Pokemon. Vanilluxe can also be used to cancel out opposing weather conditions, such as against the very popular sand archetypes, and proceed to clean with its Ice-type STAB attacks. Ice Shard allows Vanilluxe to revenge kill faster Pokemon such as Venusaur, Whimsicott, Vivillon, and Braviary; however, it is quite weak and Vanilluxe struggles to fit it in its moveset, making the effort of using it not worth it.
Team Options
========
Vanilluxe falls short to Steel- and Ice-types like Silvally-Steel, Piloswine, Sneasel, and Cryogonal, so Fighting-types make good partners for Vanilluxe. Adding onto this point, Fighting-types can also lure in Pokemon such as Slowbro, Whimsicott, and Venusaur that Choice Scarf Vanilluxe can take advantage of. Fire-types tend to be an issue for Vanilluxe, so Pokemon that can handle them efficiently are encouraged to be used alongside Vanilluxe. Some examples include Diancie, Rhydon, Vaporeon, Slowbro, and Incineroar. Due to Vanilluxe not holding Choice Specs or an Icicle Plate, it doesn't have the strength to break through Pokemon like Gigalith, Diancie, Houndoom, and Delphox, so carrying checks to them is advised. Some good examples include Diancie, Slowking, Slowbro, and Rhydon. Due to Vanilluxe's lack of a damage-boosting item, Klinklang can set up on it very easily, so carrying a check to it is almost necessary; Steelix, Slowbro, Palossand, Druddigon, and even Toxicroak can all suffice for this role.

=============
Protect alongside Toxic can deter tankier foes such as Slowking, bulky Incineroar, Delphox, and Piloswine; however, Vanilluxe struggles to fit both moves in its moveset, so it usually isn't worth using. Hidden Power Fighting is an alternative option over Hidden Power Ground and Flash Cannon, hitting Ice-, Rock-, and Steel-types while freeing up its fourth moveslot. Icium Z lets Vanilluxe use Subzero Slammer to deal with sand teams and Pokemon like Gigalith better, as well as providing a nuke in general. Ice Shard allows Vanilluxe to revenge kill faster Pokemon such as Venusaur, Whimsicott, Vivillon, and Braviary; however, it is quite weak and Vanilluxe struggles to fit it in its moveset, making the effort of using it not worth it.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Fire-types**: Many Fire-types such as Incineroar, Houndoom, Delphox, and Magmortar can OHKO and immediately threaten Vanilluxe with powerful STAB attacks. However, these Pokemon tend to get worn down very quickly from the combination of entry hazards, hail damage, and Vanilluxe's brute force.
**Thick Fat Pokemon**: Assault Vest Thick Fat Hariyama is arguably the best check to Vanilluxe in the tier. Hariyama shrugs off any hit Vanilluxe attempts to throw its way and can easily OHKO in return with Close Combat. Other Thick Fat Pokemon like Miltank can whittle Vanilluxe down thanks to Seismic Toss in conjunction with reliable recovery in Milk Drink.
**Ice-types**: Although Vanilluxe has Flash Cannon in its arsenal to exploit Ice-types, they still pose major threats to Vanilluxe. Piloswine can come in against Vanilluxe and usually tank a few hits, and it can fire back with a STAB Earthquake to deal major damage or set Stealth Rock. Cryogonal can switch in somewhat comfortably against Vanilluxe and take the chance to whittle it down with the combination of Toxic + Recover or remove any hazards on its side of the field. Sneasel can KO Vanilluxe with Knock Off after Vanilluxe takes Stealth Rock damage or is somewhat chipped, and Sneasel can also trap it with Pursuit, dealing immense damage to it. Alolan Sandslash can withstand most attacks from Vanilluxe and can beat it with Iron Head or cripple it with Toxic; however, Sandslash must be wary of Hidden Power Ground or Fighting.
**Steel-types**: Defensive Steel-types such as Silvally-Steel and Probopass can tank Vanilluxe's attacks and dispose of Vanilluxe with their STAB attacks. While Klinklang doesn't like too many hits from Choice Specs Vanilluxe, Klinklang can still set up against Vanilluxe and easily OHKO it or force it out. Togedemaru and Alolan Sandslash can both deal with Vanilluxe with their Steel-type attacks, but they must be wary of Hidden Power Ground or simply being worn down by Vanilluxe's attacks.
**Faster Pokemon**: Due to Vanilluxe's poor overall defensive stats, many faster offensive Pokemon, such as Heliolisk, Stoutland, Absol, Cinccino, and Accelgor, can all outpace Vanilluxe and effectively wipe it out with their strong STAB attacks or coverage moves.
**Fighting-types**: As stated above, Hariyama stomachs all of Vanilluxe's attacks and retaliate with Close Combat. Multiple other Fighting-types outspeed Vanilluxe and can easily OHKO with Fighting-type STAB attacks; some examples include Passimian, Toxicroak, and Medicham.
**Rock-types**: Bulky Rock-types, namely Gigalith and Probopass, can stomach Vanilluxe's attacks and retaliate with STAB Rock-type attacks to OHKO Vanilluxe; however, Probopass should be wary of Hidden Power Ground. Diancie can take one Ice-type attack from Vanilluxe, but it struggles to switch in. Kabutops can easily OHKO Vanilluxe but is unable to switch in safely against it.
