Kyurem goes and Pressure stalls the fat stuff that Queen can’t break. Nidoqueen is also the bulky Fairy answer.

Mixed bulky Altaria + Iapapa Rotom-Heat is a bulky offense core I've been enjoying a lot since Zeraora fell down and Rotom-Heat grew a lot more popular than its lawn mower cousin. Oventom comes in for free and it's able to threaten Steel-types like Mega Aggron, Mega Lix while also stomaching Scizor's BP and Bisharp's Iron Head. It hard counters Moltres and to a lesser degree opposing non-refresh DD Mega Altaria, both of which annoy this Altaria's set as they are able to either stomach every move in the former's case or are able to outright outspeed it and KO it in the latter's. In exchange Mega Altaria is able to come in on Dragon-types that like to switch in on Rotom's Volt Switch like Hydra, Lati or Kommo-o (:CLANGER:).
The given spread ensures that max attack Adamant Scizor doesn't OHKO Altaria from full (252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 212 HP / 32 Def Altaria-Mega: 288-342 (83.7 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO) as well as a +2 Terrakion Stone Edge (+2 252 Atk Terrakion Stone Edge vs. 212 HP / 32 Def Altaria-Mega: 291-343 (84.5 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO ), though the cool thing about Mega Altaria is how customizable it really is. For example, I put enough speed to outspeed Primarina, Crawdaunt and most notably Adamant Bisharp, though one might opt for a little bit less speed and go all the way down to a 220 Speed stat and go more into bulk, making Altaria a bit more durable. Also, I'd like to not that 240 HP / 48 Def avoid the 2HKO from Mega Aero's Stone Edge. If clanger or Primarina are expecially a problem, one may even run and Adamant nature with Return over Hyper Voice so that Kommo-o doesn't get free set up.
I've found this core being very effective when paired with Steel-types like Scizor or Cobalion, doubling down on Scizor checks while also appreciating Oventom's ability to pivot into Moltres (Stone Edge Cobalion + Mega Sltaria is pretty cool) and this specific Altaria set ability to lure Steel-types and stuff like Tenta and Empoleon. Amoong is very good with these two as it relieves Rotom-H from the costant pressure of getting U-Turned on by Scizor. Pain Split over Toxic/WoW is an option expecially if you decide not to run a 50% berry but you're opting for Lefties/Firium Z instead, though I wouldn't usually recommend these unless you pair Rotom with a Regen mon like Amoong for the aforementioned U-Turn pressure.

Next up is Electrium Z Lati plus Specs Primarina / CM Florges. I've noticed that this thread doesn't feature offensive Lati cores so here you have it. It's pretty basic, Psychic Z-Thunder Lati deals with Primarina three good switchins in the tier in Empo, Tenta and Amoonguss (the latter two have to fear Specs Psychic too which is pretty ridicolous) and lets the Soloist Pokemon wallbreak freely. This core pairs really well with VoltTurn as it makes it easier for Prima to come in. Not too too much left to say on this one except that they synergize very well defensively too as Primarina forces a lot of Dragon-types to not click their Dragon STAB in fear of a letting Prima come in unharmed.

This core works pretty similarly, credits to itsjustdrew for making me discover CM Florges. CM Florges absolutely loves how much Electrium Z Lati is able to chip down her usual Steel-types counterplay like Aggron and Scizor while also being able to make quick work of Empo and Tenta, which lets Florges in a prime position for a late-game sweep. Heal Bell is very nice to cure status ailments like Rotom-Heat Toxic on Latias and lets Florges 1vs1 a lot of Pokemon that deal with it by Toxicing it. The Speed on Florges lets her outspeed Adamant Sharp by two points and everything below. 136 EVs are a Speed jump point from 240 to 242.
Their typing synergy is great yada yada yada put this with a Steel-type for a pretty nice Steel Dragon Fairy core yada yada also make sure to have a good fighting-type answer other than these two because they don't really eat strong Fighting-types hits all that well or don't really appreciate their STAB/coverage options

Sceptile is underused to where it's not even UU anymore, but it still makes for a great partner with Scizor. Scizor lures in bulky grounds and waters and can get Sceptile in a good position to do its thing. Blessed with bullet punch and technician, Scizor can also remove pesky fairies for Sceptile too. Scizor being able to remove Mamoswine is huge for Sceptile since otherwise it can be picked off very easily. Common offensive bullet punch resists mega mane and zera fear giving Sceptile a lightning rod boost, meaning they’ll likely go for flamethrower or knock/fire punch respectively. Once the respective threats have been taken care of, Sceptile can clean with its naturally high speed tier or scizor with SD + priority. This core works best on more offensively oriented teams and appreciates mons like primarina kommo-o and Infernape who are capable of mutilating the fat steels like maggron. Primarina shines particularly as it completes the dragon-fairy-steel combo while pressuring the increasingly common rotom-h to not just click overheat. Other Volturn mons like the Rotoms and Gligar can bolster this cores effectiveness as they make it even easier to gain opportunities.

This bro-lix-bliss has been popping up on a fair amount of extra fat teams lately with the fall of alo. It's a pretty simple one. Slowbro takes fighting hits from the other two, Lix blocks is a sturdy stop to volturn which slowbro loves, blissey gives steelix recovery and may serve as a cleric, slowbro can fuck with opposing fat builds with block + toxic, and finally steelix reliably handling lati is heavily appreciated. If looking for a faster paced backbone, AV Mienshao can function over blissey. In more offensive builds Block Bro is harder to support and twave is more valuable for other teammates to out speed the dragons lured in. Speaking of being lured in, Fire Blast hits rotom-c, scizor, bisharp and celebi for more damage and all around can have more utility than a psychic STAB. Colbur berry is used in order to have some wiggle room and survive some pursuits, cripple scarf hydra for shao to outspeed later, etc. Steelix still functions as a vollturn stopper, but now can make use of a curse set to threaten offensive builds and KO many mons at only +1. It still is fat enough to stop latias reliably, as Mienshao doesn't want to risk the psyshock. In general, dual regen can be very annoying for the opponent if hazards aren't up.

I'm aware Empoleon + Hippowdon was already posted and is still good but Empoleon + Gligar is an alternative way of looking at it, with the weaknesses differing but accounted for by the addition of Chesnaught esp with Bisharp now being in the tier, which has led to Sharpedo and Crawdaunt offense also rising in popularity. I've left most of the filler moves open since it really depends on the team. For example, on this particular build of mine, I ran a faster Chesnaught with Taunt to really give bulkier teams a hard time, especially in conjunction with Knock Off from something else. I swear the Gligar spread does something but I don't remember off the top of my head. Generally, I opt for U-turn on Gligar though to give you some momentum, something that Hippowdon could never do for you. This goes well with the obvious Bisharp and stuff like BoltBeam / Dragonium Lati to really punish mons weakened by Spikes.

This core is really good rn and it is pretty straight forward, Fight+fairy+steel core. Chesnaught is really good atm with bisharp coming back, it also checks lots of things in the tier like sharpedo, kroook etc, spikes make it a good hazard setter for scizor to sweep in the late game, spiky shield is also nice for scouting sets and and chipping mons with contact moves, it also has a decent recovery in synthesis. Specs primarina is a really strong wallbreaker being able to break fat mons like hippo,aggron and slowbro, it helps scizor by weakening mons for it to sweep. Lastly, we have LO quick attack scizor, quick attack is a good fit on scizor since rotom heat is everywhere, u can superpower to deal with aggron and u can also run knock off for doublade. I feel that this core is very versatile, you can run plenty of mons to go with this core too.

I've been using this core for a couple of weeks and it's a really good one, especially among Balanced Teams. This three Pokemon bring so much support and utility to a team thanks to Stealth Rocks / Rapid Spin and Wish + Cleric Support while being able to deal with most of UU's threats. Steelix-Mega can handle Flying Types, Nihilego, non-Superpower Scizor, Aerodactyl-Mega, Altaria-Mega, Zeraora, Manectric-Mega, Latias etc.. On the other hand Tentacruel can check Cobalion, Lucario, Infernape, Scizor while Sylveon deals with Kommo-o, Hydreigon and support Steelix-Mega and Tentacruel thanks to Wish which helps them to be healthy during the whole match.

This core isn't invincible and struggles vs powerful Ground Types like Groundium Z Krookodile or Life Orb Mamoswine

This is a pretty cool Regenerator Core. Slowbro can handle Pokemon like Aerodactyl-Mega, Scarf Infernape and Mamoswine while Amoonguss deals with Scizor, Zeraora, Altaria-Mega or Tsareena. Finally, Mienshao can handle Hydreigon which can be a pain for its teammates. It can also pressure Celebi thanks to U-Turn.

CM Latias with Electrium Z and Psychic STAB can break this core pretty easily

The purpose of this Offensive Core is pretty clear : the main objective of Krookodile is to trap and weaken Pokemon which deals with Lucario like Latias, Celebi, Doublade or Beedrill-Mega. In the other hand, Lucario can break through Defensive cores and threaten Altaria-Mega, Togekiss, Terrakion, Cobalion or Hydreigon which helps its teammate a lot. You can opt for Focus Blast + Fightinium Z or Aura Sphere + Life Orb, it really depends of what your team looks like or if you have already a Pokemon which hold a Z-Crystal !

The synergy these two have is certainly not unheard of. Maero is an absolute menace against offensive teams with its trapping and high speed tier. Jellicent is a pokemon that doesn't see much ladder usage compared to tours (it's residing in PU), but it's a valuable addition to any team struggling with the match up against fatter squads. Together, they do well on balanced teams. The new threats in UU-- bisharp and zeraora both threaten jellicent, moreso the latter. MAero is capable of killing both, or trapping them. Maero loves how jellicent can deal with mamoswine, cripple revenge killers like scarf krook, etc. with willo. Jellicent’s coveted Water Absorb is rather valuable for maero as it cant exactly oh-ko can of the bulky waters. With Taunt, Jellicent effectively shuts them down. Water/Ghost means jellicent can beat Cobalion and scarfed ape effortlessly. This means aero won’t have to be as careful around them (NP Ape doesn’t run grass knot and vacuum wave in the same set). Jellicent of course appreciates how Aero can handle the powerful flying types like moltres and togekiss, especially the former since jellicent typically isn't a water STAB. Roost on maero let’s it beat users of the move like scarfed hydra and latias. Recently, I've preferred Wing Attack over roost or aqua tail to hit amoongus harder, but it all depends on what the team needs. Similarly, jellicent can run scald over Hex because scald is broken. However, the power that comes with hex will be sorely missed. Chesnaught pairs very well with these two, as it provides a pseudo ghost immunity to support jellicent while appreciating the counterplay jelli and maero give to fire and flying types. Taunt + Ghost typing from Jellicent keeps chesnaught's spikes up more often, too.

Needless to say, chesnaught has been a great pick in the current metagame where it stops mons like zeraora, bisharp, and crawdaunt with ease. Its last moveslot is pretty flexible but toxic is nice for crippling things like Lati on the switch. Diancie handles hurricanes and other flying moves for chesnaught as well as fire moves. Together they get some nice spikestack action going on. Diancie being a reliable answer to lati is very much appreciated too. Normalium Z is a nice option on Diancie if the other members can't utilize a Z move, as it allows diancie to switch into knock-offs with the fear of losing lefties and gives it chance to fully restore its health. Water type spinners like Tentacruel and Blastoise pair nicely with this core as they synergize well with their typings and don't remove your own set up hazards.

Hydreigon is to bait fairies like malt and sylv to clear the way for DD Kommo-o to sweep. With no fairies, there is no need to run poison jab, and you can run eq instead to hit thinks like klefki, which is a pain in the ass for hydra to deal with. For this to wark, you have to use U-Turn on hydra to bluff the scarf, and as he brings in malt, etc, bop em with Z-Belch

Bisharp can also pressure Manectric-Mega thanks to Defiant while Scizor brings some Momentum to Bisharp thanks to U-Turn. This core appreciates a lot Hazard Support (which can be provide by Klefki / Chesnaught or Klefki) and finds itself especially in HO. This core paired pretty well with Fairy Types which can deal with Hydreigon but also with Pokemon like Tentacruel which can check Cobalion.

SD + Protect Decidueye is a nasty way to take advantage of Terrakion's ability. Most of the time, Decidueye forces out Pokemon like Hydreigon or Krookodile which would like to threaten it thanks to their Dark STAB (Dark Pulse / Knock Off - Pursuit - Crunch). Thanks to Protect, Decidueye is able to scout their attacks and take advantage of them. If they're using their Dark STAB, you have a free switch-in on Terrakion and a free attack the next turn. If they're doing something else, you can attack with Decidueye or Swords Dance. Moreover, if Hydreigon or Krookodile comes to take a Spirit Shackle, they're trapped and can't switch which mean you can keep the Momentum. The spread on Decidueye allows it to never be OHKO by Hydreigon's Dark Pulse or Krookodile's Knock Off (if Decidueye holds a Z-Crystal). This core is obviously really dangerous vs Stall and Fat teams.

Rocky Helmet Amoonguss is a great way of punishing U-Turns and walling physical attackers. Regenerator is also very useful as an ability and helps Amoonguss stay alive and sponge attacks throughout battles. Some flaws Amoonguss has are that it can't live 2 Stone Edge's from Terrakion after rocks, it can't stomach a Knock Off from Crawdaunt, it can't wall physical Fire-types like Infernape, Entei, and Darmanitan, it doesn't like being hit by Flying-type attacks from Mega Aerodactyl, it struggles versus Kommo-o, it can't deal with Dragon-types, and if low it can't live a Psychic Fangs from Mega Sharpedo. All these issues Amoonguss has are solved by pairing it with Primarina. I really enjoy using this defensive core on my Bulky Offense teams. Enjoy!

Oh how the mighty have fallen... Florges has replaced Sylveon frequently as of late. Primarily due to being able to provide hazard removal it also isn't walled by soundproof kommo-o. However, soundproof is on the decline since sylveon is pretty much non existent. Thus, it's now relatively safe to run hyper voice. In the case that the kommo-o is soundproof, doublade can destroy the :clanger: (kommo-o) easily with gyro ball. Outside of the kommo-o matchup, these two have solid synergy still. Doublade can obviously withstand most hits thanks to the bulk from evolite, but it takes hits from steel and poison like nothing (literally in poison's case) which makes it great for being paired with fairies. Unfortunately like many steels, doublade lacks recovery outside of rest. Sylveon can patch this up while being a bigger wish than florges. Sulveon also is able to remedy doublade of stray burns which is always nice. Though, toxic can be viable to wear down mons like Hippo. Sylveon being able to counter doublade's most common answer, hydreigon (bar rare z belch/iron tail and specs flash cannon sets), is huge too of course. Hydreigon itself actually makes a for a solid partner with the core, finishing off the steel-fairy-dragon trifecta. Hydreigon can provide Taunt to have a better fat matchup or Defog for hazard removal and gives an appreciated ground immunity for doublade while benefiting from doublade removing fairies. If you’re that worried about Kommo-o, cute charm + moonblast work for Sylveon.

Kyurem + Tentacruel is a classic core. Kyurem has always been underused but when you do see it, it's usually with its squid pal. 101 Hp Subs + Pressure are already a bad time for stall, and toxic spikes furthers this punishment. These two appreciate the increasing popularity of Gligar and Chesnaught as they both can be a pain to them. Tentacruel's rapid spin and being a grouded poison means it can consistently deal with hazards for Kyurem to be the best it can be. Holding the Icium Z crystal grants access to Z-Haze, giving Tentacruel full health once and taking less damage from knock off. Tentacruel also resists steel, fairy and fighting and can pivot into these moves for kyurem. These two both can struggle with faster dragons like Latias and Hydreigon, so pokemon like Blissey and scarf Krookodile are appreciated. Klefki in particular can be a great third member as it can punish switching on the enemy team even more with its own spikes, consistently handle hydreigon and latias, cripple fast mons for kyurem, and take psychic moves for tentacruel.

Aurorus + Sandslash-Alola is an infamous core in Underused. This core has the aim to setup the Aurora Veil which allows Pokemon like Scizor, VinCune, Bisharp, Altaria-Mega, Linoone etc.. to setup with ease. Aurorus summons Hail thanks to Snow Warning and can set Stealth Rocks and/or weaken opponent's Pokemon thanks to Blizzard. Hidden Power [Fire] is great to hit Steel types and especially Scizor while Encore can bother defensives Pokemon. On the other hand, Sandslash-Alola has to setup Aurora Veil under the Hail. Icicle Crash is a nice STAB, Eartquake hits Steel Types. The last slot really depends of what you need. Rock Slide is pretty useful in the current metagame because it allows Sandlash-Alola to deal with Moltres and Rotom-Heat to a certain extent. Rapid Spin can be nice to remove Entry Hazards on your side of the field. Finally, Hail is useful vs team which has Hippowdon while Swords Dance allows Sandslash-Alola to be a better offensive threat.

Even if the trends are not in favour of Suicune, VinCune + Toxic Spikes is still a nasty way to chip a lot of Pokemon in Underused. Like SubRoost Kyurem + Toxic Spikes, this core takes advantage of Suicune's ability to Stall turns thanks to Protect + Substitute to inflict damages to the poisoned opposite's Pokemon. Furthermore, VinCune can PP Stall thanks to Pressure while Tentacruel can absorb Toxic Spikes on its side of the field which is great because its teammates hates to be poisoned.

These three compliment each other pretty well. Rotom-H + Scizor create a potent volturn core that lure in several threats. Rotom-H invites in the dragon types in the tier such as Malt, Latias and Hydreigon which either Scizor traps or Primarina heavily pressures and forces out. While Scizor invites in the steel / bulky water types both Primarina and Rotom chip away at. I've used both defensive and Specs Prima with this core and both work well as they appreciate the oppurtunity to get a free switch and chip down your opponents squad. The bulkier variant can act as a good status absorber for the two. If this core is run alongside Scarf Krook for example, to provide Pursuit support then standard SD Sciz or Buginium-Z Sciz works nicely here.

Clanger + Togekiss work very well together when it comes to muscling through balance / stall teams. Kommo-o has an extremely easy time setting up SR which is why this set is seeing so much usage. I have tested with Flamethrower, Flash Cannon and Taunt and all three have an equal amount of potential on this set, tho Flash Cannon can be very lackluster without LO. Kommo-o with Flamethrower is able to easily remove Scizor and other steel types which opens up the door for Togekiss to put in work. Dragonium-Z can be used if no one else is using the slot. Toge provides means of breaking through Stall and Balance without being overly reliant on Kommo-o, especially one lacking Taunt. Heal Bell is also very nice to remove status from Kommo-o as it comfortably switches into Empo, Tentacruel and Rotom-H which can all spread status. Togekiss is able to switch into Pokemon that might RK Kommo-o like Hydreigon, while Kommo-o handles threats to Toge like M-Manectric, Zeraora and Bisharp etc.

Just like the above core above Kommo-o + Primarina work exceptionally well together. Once again Clanger is notorious for being able to muscle through annoying Pokemon like Tentacruel, Empoleon and Blissey which are huge nuisances for Primarina as well as having the utility of setting SR. However, unlike Togekiss Primarina has a much easier job threatening the Fairy / Dragon type Pokemon which either switch in easily or attempt to RK Kommo-o like Malt, Florges and Hydreigon. Both Defensive and Specs Prima work extremely well with this Mon depending on what the team requires. Once again Prima appreciates Kommo-o being able to handle the electric types in the tier effectively just like Toge.

I haven’t posted in this thread for a little while so I might as well post this offensive core. I do like the idea of type spam cores so I got a Dark Spam core featuring Crawdaunt and Bisharp. This core preys on the opponent’s Dark-type answers since a lot of teams tend to pack one answer that can constantly be taking massive chip by these heavy hitters. Both Crawdaunt and Bisharp compliment each other really well because of this as they can break through each other’s checks by constantly placing strain on them if they recklessly hard switch in. These punched holes can help open up a much easier sweep against bulkier teams.

I’ve been finding Heattom+AV Shao to be a fairly solid VoltTurn combination. Heattom pivots out from Hydreigon into Mienshao and then the other way around as Mienshao pivots out from a Birb into Heattom. Pair this duo with a Psychic or Water type cleaner like Celebi or Mega Sharpedo and you have a solid VoltTurn+Wincon combination. It’s a simplistic VoltTurn that pivots in quite a bit of strong cleaners/breakers so I suggest you take a look!

I've never seen so much synergy in a core in my life. First of all, let me talk about how rest talk prima has been on the rise lately. This mon has been wreaking havoc in this tier. Primarina in general has been. I'm a huge fan of this mon. When I was testing this mon out, I realized that it worked well with Toxicroak because rest talk prima struggles with bulky waters (especially Empoleon!). Toxicroak just erases every bulky water besides Jellicent and Slowbro. Though you can run Nasty Plot Toxicroak if you aren't comfortable with you being weak to slowbro and Jellicent, don't recommend it though, I like having to be able to hit Latias with sucker punch. Toxicroak also compliments Latias and Primarina because it hits steels. Latias hits the poison types for Primarina aswell which shows the synergy of Lati + Prima. Scizor could be a problem though. That is why you have 3 more slots to put. You still have room for a steel type. You could also add something like heat-tom aswell.

This is the team I've been using with this core...Rest Talk Prima w/ Z Croak This team has worked pretty well for me.

Since a long time Eject Button + Magneton is a well known and effective core in Underused. The aim is pretty simple : bring the Pokemon which holds the Eject Button on a Steel type mostly Scizor which allows you to bring on the field Magneton which can trap and remove from the game the Steel type Pokemon. With Steel types gone, DD Refresh Altaria-Mega becomes more threatening. I did not mentioned a special Pokemon which can holds the Eject Button because there is a plethora of Pokemon which can use it such as Alomomola, Amoonguss, Slowbro.. Even Pokemon like Tentacruel or Chesnaught can be good with this item.

Froslass and Kommo-o have kinda replaced Klefki and Mamoswine in some HO. Froslass is a great pick which can set with ease Spikes thanks to its good speed. It can also prevent the opponent to set its own Entry Hazards thanks to Taunt and denied Hazard Control thanks to Taunt and its Ghost type. On the other hand, Mixed Kommo-o is probably one of the best setter of Stealth Rock in Offensives team and can pressure efficiently Bulky teams thanks to Taunt and its Mixed STABs.

Its ability to handle Tentacruel is pretty useful too. On the other hand, Cobalion can check Bisharp or Scizor which can bother its teammate. Cobalion can also weaken Aggron-Mega, Steelix-Mega and pressure Blissey for Latias. Finally, Latias can support Cobalion by providing it a second wind thanks to Healing Wish.

Blastoise and Talonflame are a memorable offensive core in UU. They go well with HO teams that can keep enough pressure up and prevent hazards coming up and messing with Talonflame's Gale Wings. Rapid Spin on Blastoise is an easy way to fit hazard removal on this playstyle. Taunt on Talonflame takes advantage of its good speed tier and can prevent hazards from being set up, and roost can let it restore Gale Wings when it forces a switch. However, Flame Charge can be the most effective as it makes Talonflame less reliant on its ability and can hit threats like Zeraora afterwards. Being able to utilize a priority Z move is a strong trait of Talonflame, but Leftovers can be ran to set up on Hippowdon with the combination of Taunt.

Altaria and Moltres are both formidable threats in the UU metagame. Unfortunately, they share one common Defensive threat-- Rotom-H. That's no trouble with the raw power of Specs Moltres, though. Rotom-H will nearly always switch into Moltres. With Stealth Rocks up, Moltres turns the pesky oven into an easy 2HKO without activating the potential Iapapa Berry. No Oven makes Altaria sweeping infinitely easier. Moltres also heavily pressures Amoongus and Steel types, making Altaria an all-around great partner.

These 2 pokemon work well together as a team because Slowbro uses it's bulk to trap pokemon that threaten Toxicroak away. Once Slowbro does that, it's wayyy easier for Toxicroak to do damage. Usually the things that stop Toxicroak are mons like Infernape, Hippowdon, Gligar, and others. Slowbro also is a good stall breaker aswell. Trapping most mons then Toxic. Toxicroak compliments Slowbro because it handles bulky waters that Slowbro can not handle. This is the core I used for my RMT alongside Steelix, but mostly the core is Slowbro + Toxicroak.

Bird is the word. Aerodactyl is able to trap the most common answer to Moltres-- Latias while Moltres can handle Scizor. U-turn on Moltres can put Aerodactyl in the position to trap Latias more easily or flying/fire resists like Nihilego and Rotom-H.

Blastoise is a great wallbreaker and Sylveon keeps Blastoise healthy while having defensive synergy. Blastoise can switch into Steel-type attacks aimed at Sylveon while Sylveon can switch into special attacks targeting Blastoise. Refresh gives Blastoise more sustainability and isn't pp stalled out by Toxic like Sylveon's Heal Bell. Toxic prevents Latias from setting up on Sylveon. If Latias is handled well by the rest of the team, Rapid Spin and Heal Bell respectively work well too. These two appreciate a Steel-type like Doublade to reliably deal with opposing Fairy-types.

Mega-Aerodactyl works very well with both Choice Band and Nasty Plot Ape. Maero provides Pursuit support for both sets which both value to be able to spam their stab moves + gives the appreciated flying resist. CB Ape can drop Latias in range for Pursuit with U-turn which is amazing. While NP becomes an effective sweeper once Lati is removed. Infernape in return pressures the steel types in the tier and soft checks Scizor which threatens Maero. Personally, I prefer using Ice Fang on Maero to help remove Gligar for either Ape set.

Nasty Plot Infernape has proven to be a very scary threat in the current meta, but just like every Mon there is always something restricting its sweeping capabilities. Scarf Krookodile works extremely well with Ape for the reason of being able to trap and remove Latias, the biggest cuck to Ape. Krook also threatens the likes of Tentacruel with EQ and Gligar with Knock. Krookodile also soft checks the likes of Maero, while Ape soft checks Scizor.

This core works extremely well together. Mega Sceptile has issues handling things like Mega-Altaria, Sylveon and Togekiss etc. which Nihilego heavily pressures. It gives the flying resist Sceptile needs, while Sceptile pressures the bulky waters and grounds that give Nihilego issues. Moltres helps keep Scizor in check which can threaten the latter two Mons while offensively pressuring the steel types in the tier for both Mons. Moltres also invites in Rotom-H which Nihilego can threaten out. Core has issues with Maero and Terrakion so adding Gligar, Doublade etc. is good. It also doesn’t break Blissey, so add something for that or use SD Sceptile.

These two work really nicely together especially typing wise. Tentacruel is weak to Psychic and Ground types which Bronzong walls thanks to its typing + ability in levitate. Tentacruel checks most of the fighting and fire types for Bronzong in return such as Coba, Ape etc. They also provide a lot of utility in Stealth Rock + hazard removal in Rapid Spin for a team which is really nice for a defensive core. The core doesn’t check everything as Pokemon like Terrakion still threaten both, but they have a lot of synergy together on Balance and BO.

This is a pretty common core on a lot of balance teams and is the standard Fairy-Steel-Dragon core. Aggron checks the likes of Scizor, Togekiss lacking Aura etc and provides SR support. These things threaten out and pressure Sylveon so it appreciates Aggron checking them. In return it sponges hits well on the special side and can soft check some fighting types for it. It also provides valuable Wish and Cleric support for Aggron. Hydreigon can pretty much run any set it needs alongside the two Pokemon, but it provides a nice switch into Krookodile, Crawdaunt, Gengar etc which can pressure Aggron well. Hydreigon can provide speed control, Defog support or help break down defensive walls through Taunt + Roost. Everyone knows how versatile the Mon is.

This is a core I've built around probably a thousand times. Primarina helps out Steelix by switching into Fighting- and Ground-types like Infernape, Terrakion, Cobalion, Hippowdon, Gligar, Krookodile, etc. Mega Steelix helps out Primarina with its Ground typing not giving Mega Manectric the ability to always click Volt Switch and checking as well as being able to switch into stuff like Nihilego and Electrium Z Latias. They are a solid pair for bulky offense and balance teams.

Pidgeot-Mega has been a hot topic of debate lately and the various grounds that can battle Rotom-H have been picking up steam due to the oven's popularity. This balanced core partners Mega Pidgeot with Seismitoad, who can battle every common Pidgeot-Mega answer barring the grass knot users. Seismitoad can easily handle the likes of Empoleon, Rotom-H, Stakataka, Aero-Mega, Diancie, and Manectric-Mega. It can also handle some of the bulkier steels that Pidgeot struggles to break like Aggron-Mega and Silvally Steel. Meanwhile, Pidgeot-Mega has the tools in it's arsenal to easily handle various grass types like Celebi, Amoonguss, and others that would threaten the toad and laugh at anything it can throw. Both members of this core can easily support eachother offensively and defensively.

oldie but a goodie. hippo can be seen over rhyp but it makes the core way too passive imho. rhyperior keeps up pressure more and is a better stop to the most common electric rn-- rotom h. These two hate toxic as well as Empoleon, but are still a strong backbone that provides both hazards and a form of removal.
