Data Usage-Based Tier Update for January 2025 (February @ #50) (March @ #65)

No quickdrops for SU from ZU for this month!
In terms of projected changes:
Clawitzer could move from SUBL to ZU
Virizion could move from SUBL to ZU
Abomasnow could move from SU to ZU
Beartic could move from SU to ZU
Cryogonal could move from SU to ZU
Gurdurr could move from SU to ZU
Lurantis could move from SU to ZU
Poliwrath could move from SU to ZU
Thwackey could move from NFE to ZU
At this point, we can mathematically figure out which tiering changes aren't just projected but guaranteed:
Toxtricity will move from PU to NU
Bruxish will move from ZUBL to PU
Avalugg-Hisui will move from ZU to PU
Clawitzer will move from SUBL to ZU
Anything at 6.8% usage or more is locked-in to not drop, so Clefable (OU), Donphan (UU), Hippowdon (RU), Brambleghast (NU), Braviary-Hisui (PU), Dipplin (ZU), and everything above them in their respective tiers are guaranteed to stay.

Big Lu has been OU in natdex like once, because Gholdengo was terrorizing the tier in the Tera metagame (so like 2 years ago?). Outside of that it's been UU for the entire gen. Ghold is back in OU again and without Tera, stronger stopgaps are required.
It doesn't surprise me at all since drought is banned in gen 9 pu and without it Torkoal is basically just Coalossal at home

It's too slow to use Eruption effectively. Just use another special wallbreaker like Mowtom.
It can't be a Stealth Rock suicide lead anymore either since it lost Explosion. There's like 3 other things in ZU that gets rocks and can go explotano, most notably Golem.
Rapid Spin? I'd rather use Cryogonal or one of the Hitmon-dudes.
The only thing I can see it doing is an IronPress set... oh wait Regirock already does that 10 times better.
Where Torkoal goes now is unknown to us now, but we can confidently say that as long as Drought is banned below NU and unpopular above RU, Torkoal isn't rising.

I do not believe that Meowscarada will fall to UU now or ever, unfortunately. I keep running into this bastards’s fucking Choice Scarf set. I would be happy to be proven wrong.
I wonder if the projected rises of Stinkacuck, Garchomp, and Weavile are connected, since the former is a stopgap to the latter. Pro tip, start running Tera Fire on Weavile and Fire Blast on Garchomp, you’ll thank me later.

I do not think there have been enough changes in the meta for Meowscarada's usage to increase. Pecharunt is still as deadly as ever and the potential risers from uu also don't favor it.
Tinkaton is very based thank you very much. Running tera fire on Weavile doesn't sound very useful and I highly doubt anyone is running fire blast on Garchomp (especially on swords dance sets).
Yeah mixed Chomp kinda died out after Ferrothorn got cut. No Ferro, no Fire Blast. Tinky is absolutely shreddin' it rn. I would be simultaneously bamboozled and flabbergasted if it didn't rise to OU next month.
