Ursaluna-B has great offensive prowess thanks to its STAB combination, threatening Pokemon like Raging Bolt, Miraidon, Incineroar, and Calyrex-S, thanks to its Normal- and Ground-typing and Mind's Eye ability. Hyper Voice is a consistent spread move and a Normal-type STAB move that can be used while Bloodmoon is disabled, while Blood Moon is used to OHKO Pokemon like Urshifu-R and Ogerpon-W. Earth Power threatens Pokemon like Incineroar, Miraidon, Raging Bolt and Gholdengo, while also pressurizing Pokemon that run Tera Fire like Calyrex-I and Rillaboom. Life Orb allows Ursaluna-B to pick up OHKOs on Pokemon like Urshifu-R with Tera Normal Hyper Voice, while Earth Power OHKOes Gholdengo as well as Zacian-C. A Timid nature allows Ursaluna-B to outspeed Pokemon like Calyrex-S, Choice Scarf Urshifu-R and Miraidon in Tailwind and threaten huge damage. Tera Normal is used to amplify Ursaluna-B's damage, allowing for guaranteed OHKOs on Flutter Mane, Amoonguss, and Incineroar, (AC) and Calyrex-S with Blood Moon, while also becoming neutral to previously super effective attacks like Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R and Wood Hammer from Rillaboom.

Trick Room teams with slower Pokemon like Amoonguss create trouble for Ursaluna-B, as it can put it to sleep with Spore. Ursaluna-B also faces difficulty against Urshifu-S and Chien-Pao, as both utilize Focus Sash to survive one hit and OHKO Ursaluna-B with Close Combat and Icicle Crash respectively. Iron Hands is a good partner for Ursaluna-B, as it is able to easily tank the attacks from Urshifu-S and Chien-Pao and slow their momentum down with Fake Out. Pokemon with Prankster Tailwind like Whimsicott make for strong partners, allowing Ursaluna-B to take full advantage of its Timid Nature, helping it outspeed Calyrex-S and Choice Scarf Urshifu-R. Farigiraf proves to be a great partner for Ursaluna-B, thanks to its ability to set up Trick Room for more flexibility and negate Fake Out with Armor Tail. Miraidon sees great success with Ursaluna-B, as it synergizes well with it due to Ursaluna-B's immunity to Discharge, while also preventing the aforementioned Spore from affecting Ursaluna-B, thanks to Electric Terrain. It also OHKOes Urshifu-R and brings Pokemon like Mienshao down to Focus Sash, helping Ursaluna-B sweep more easily.

Not quite a threat outside TR.) Ursaluna-B also faces difficulty against Urshifu-S and Chien-Pao, as both utilize Focus Sash to live one hit and OHKO Ursaluna-B with Close Combat and Icicle Crash respectively.
