ORAS OU Troll/stall Team Help

Hey all I am currently in the midst of making a Trolly stall team. I have played with this for while now and after replacing several pokemon (inculding umbreon, dragonite and starmie) I think my team is pretty solid. The pokemon itself were cookie cutter smogon builds but it has worked well thus far.

Here is a pretty solid game where it showed how awesome Whimsicott, Chansey and Gliscor can be even when the other pokemon got rekt. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-362653857

Whimsicott @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Encore
- Leech Seed
- Substitute
- Taunt

Whimsicott, my sweet sweet super troll. This team is centered around him. His prankster lets me always goes first. The goal with him is to get behind a substitute and leech seed all the way. Encore and taunt prevent non combat moves against him unless they like to struggle. The weakness of whimsicott is that if he doesn't have a one move advantage he won't have the time to put leech seed unless you risk him getting one shot. Also Whimsicott is useless against grass types forcing me to switch. Lastly, whimsicott hates status effects due to it making leech seed redundant

Alakazam @ Alakazite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Substitute

My Special sweeper. So far he only won a few games where my troll pokemon couldn't deal with certain threats. Substitute hasn't worked so well with him as I have not had a chance to really utilize it. Psychic is a good STAB and his other moves are for weakness coverage. He seems like my 2nd/1st weakest link but I thought it was obligatory to have a special sweeper. Not sure on replacement options

Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
- Heal Bell
- Soft-Boiled
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic

My tanky pokemon. She is the backbone of the team. Heal bell is for when my whimsicott is poisoned. Without healbell, a poisoned whimsicott is useless. Soft boiled is for the sustain which is very useful. Seismic Toss is just used as a normal attack (nothing special). Toxic is used for the toxic stall. Weaknesses are steel and poison types. They are immune to poison which makes chansey a regenerating pink ball.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spe
Impish Nature
- Substitute
- Protect
- Earthquake
- Toxic

Toxic staller part II. This is pretty self explanatory. Substitute so I can take a hit. Protect so I can take a hit and regen from the substitute damage. Earthquake for damage and toxic for toxic stalling. Weaknesses are WHEEZING (makes him useless). Really solid pokemon for the team

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD
Calm Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Thunder Wave

Clefable is my tanky moonblaster. When given the setup she can calm mind to invincible status and moonblast away. Softboiled is for the much needed regen and thunder wave is for paralysis so its easier to setup the calm mind. Weaknesses are things that stop her from setting up (encore/taunt, super effective moves, etc). New edition but seems pretty good in certain situations

Garchomp @ Focus Sash
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Blast

My newest Pokemon, Garchomp. I realized how often pokemon switch when againts whimsicott so I needed to get a stealth rocker. Stealth rock is for the aforementioned switch prevention. Fireblast is my attempt of stopping my biggest weaknesses (steel, grass). The other two abilities are just for weakness coverage

hey there. nice team you got here but I have some suggestions that I think would help your team greatly.

Firstly, your Whimsicott set is too passive and this means that Whimsicott has to rely on Leech Seed to drain damage off the opponent, which is quite suboptimal as Whimsicott lacks a way to deal direct damage. To fix this problem, I think you should go for Moonblast > Encore. Having both Encore and Taunt seems unnecessary, as both seem to stop set-up sweepers and hazard setters, and Whimsicott does need an attacking move so that it isn't complete Taunt bait, although that won't happen if Whimsi uses Taunt first.

Secondly, after having a look at your team, you have too many Substitute users which isn't a major issue, but is very redundant, especially on Alakazam which is more or less a glass cannon, and needs to deal as much damage as possible. Instead of Substitute, you should go for Dazzling Gleam > Sub as this gives you helpful coverage and with all four moves hitting different Pokemon, there's little to no Pokemon that won't take a good chunk of health from Zam's moves.

Thirdly, I don't think Chansey does much for your team, as it drains all the momentum, and makes your team much more weaker to Fighting-types that carry various coverage moves, such as Mega Medicham. Bar Whimsicott, your team also struggles against stall, so I think you should go for Rain Dance Manaphy > Chansey as it helps against the aforementioned Fighting-types whilst also giving your team a sure-fire wincon. Gliscor and Garchomp can also switch into Electric-type attacks aimed at Manaphy, making it work well with your team. This change does make your team weak to status, but Gliscor is a great status absorber with Toxic Orb anyway.

Finally, because Gliscor, Whimsi and Garchomp are weak against Weavile and the like, I think you should go for Flamethrower > T Wave on Clefable. The Calm Mind variant loves extra coverage and with Flamethrower, Clefable can take hits, and get rid of the Ice-types that the above mentioned teammates really struggle with. You do lose out on the speed control, however, although I don't think its going to cause a big problem.

Other Options
- U-turn > Encore on Whimsicott. Allows you to pivot out, but you lose out on hard-hitting STAB.
- Thunder Wave > Toxic on Chansey. Frees up Clefable's last slot for Flamethrower.

Hope I helped.

Thanks Sobi! I have been testing the updates on the team and I changed even more. Below is the team now. As you can see I changed the moveset of Whimsicott and Clefable. This has been a great change. I also replaced chansey with manaphy. This led to me having 2 special attackers which means I can remove Alakazam which frees a slot for a mega. I added Mega Scizor as a late game sweeper and to have a physical threat. Lastly, I replaced garchomp with ferrothorn so my team still can take hits (due to chansey being removed.). With the added fire attacks, Garchomp seemed like a suicide stealth rocker with no other purpose.
