Trick Room Doubles, Whoa (RMT)

I am trying to run a Trick Room Doubles Team and this is what I have so far. Tell me what you think and what I could possibly change. Thanks.

Bronzong
Relaxed/ 252HP/52Atk/100Def/104SDef
Levitate
Leftovers

Moves:
Trick Room
Explosion
Gyro Ball
Hypnosis

Bronzong is a strong defensive pokemon that is able to take hits. This will allow the capability to pull off trick room and then to explode wiping out the whole field. Hypnosis would also allow the put the pokemon asleep. Finally, Gyro Ball is basically a "just in case move," just in case a pokemon is able to flip the strategy planned with Bronzong.

Swampert
Brave/ 252HP/252Atk
Torrent
Leftovers

Moves:
Waterfall
Avalanche
Stealth Rock
Protect

Swampert is average in attack and using that to its fullest potential can be deadly. Waterfall is a basic, strong water type move and is a physical move. This is one of the strongest physical water moves with good accuracy. Avalanche is to take care of any flying types and other types that would pose a threat to further pokemon on my team. Stealth Rock will help to sap their life when they come out, and protect will defend itself against future earthquakes and bronzong's explosion.
---------
Bronzong will be brought out with Swampert. The other two pokemon will attack first, then swampert will set a Stealth Rock while Bronzong will use Trick Room. From there, Swampert will use protect and Bronzong will use Explosion, killing the other two pokemon.

shuckle.jpg

Shuckle
Relaxed/ 252HP/252Def/4Sdef
Sturdy
Focus Sash

Moves:
Earthquake
Gyro ball
Powertrick
Stone Edge
----------
Shuckle is the main sweeper on this team. He will come out after the clear out produced by Bronzong. On its first turn, shuckle will use powertrick and change its stats. Just in case they attack, Shuckle has the focus sash to hold on. After that turn, shuckle will have the capability to sweep.
---------
During the turn shuckle uses powertrick, Swampert will use avalanche or waterfall to get rid of any pokemon that would be able to avoid shuckle's earthquake. Then shuckle uses earthquake and kills them while swampert uses protect. That is pretty much the heart of my team, but I have some others just in case.

Sudowoodo
Impish/ 252 HP/228Atk/ 28Def
Rock Head
Leftovers

Moves:
Earthquake
Wood Hammer
Rock Slide
Explosion
---------
When Sudowoodo comes in, either Swampert or Aggron, as seen later, will be on the field. Either swampert or aggron can use protect while sudowoodo uses earthquake. Sudowoodo's rock head will allow him to pull off moves such as wood hammer without taking recoil damage. Rock slide will be able to take down two pokemon or weaken them. Finally, when Sudowoodo is weakened, Aggron or Swampert can use protect, or Salamence can just fly.
---------
Sudowoodo would pretty much just be a sweeper and if things get messy, it justs explodes.

Aggron:
Sassy/ 252Atk/ 252Sdef
Rock Head
Leftovers:

Moves:
Protect
Iron Head
Metal Burst
Curse

Aggron is pretty simple. He is a flat out slow sweeper, and with the help of trickroom, he can prove to be very effective. Protect would shield it from any earthquake from shuckle or sudowoodo. Ironhead is a stable and strong base move that would help it and metalburst would help if trick room is extinguished by the time aggron takes the field. Curse is a move which will help its attack and defense and will make him a vital part of the team.

Salamence:
Quirky/Don't remember Ev's
Intimidate
Draco Plate

Moves:
Stone Edge
Fly
Dragon Claw
Dragon Pulse

Salamence is towards the end in order to come in when trick room is destroyed. Its speed and strong attack will be able to sweep. Fly will protect it from sudowoodo's explosion and its levitate will also protect it from and earthquakes. This is a pretty simple choice and is a strong player on my team.

Thanks so much.:pirate::toast:

hi microshuckle. I have just joined this forum so Im not sure if I should be suggesting stuff, but wouldn't it be more suitable for swampert to have ice punch instead of avalanche? if its a trick room team, swamperts gonna be hitting first often, so you don't get the avalanche boost. ice punch has a tiny bit more power so I believe it would be more suitable.

This is probably the first time that you are doing a double battle(or even competitive battling), because I see some huge beginners errors.

First of all Swampert is missing 6 EV's. As Moon Bear said, Ice Punch is better since Swampert is going to attack first. Also Stealth Rock isn't that great in doubles, so replace that with Earthquake. Earthquake is the best move in doubles because it hits all the Pokemon on the field. It's also STAB'ed on Swampert, so I don't get why you didn't thought about that.

Shuckle really doesn't want to miss on Stone Edge, so it would recommend to replace Stone Edge for Rock Slide.

Aggron has one very strange set. I wouldn't use Curse Aggron as a 'late' sweeper, because Trick Room is mostly gone by then. I would replace that Aggron with Rock Polish Aggron:

Aggron @ Life Orb
Ability: Rock Head
252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
Adamant nature(+Atk, -SAtk)
- Rock Polish
- Head Smash
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

And that Salamence? It don't know what to say. Try to read the Smogon Analysis about Salamence, because what you are using isn't quite effective in competitive battling. Furthermore I would recommend to replace 1 or 2 of your Pokemon for some Special based Pokemon. This team has 6 Physical based Pokemon. You can easily get walled if your team isn't diverse ;)

You need more Trick Roomers on a Trick Room team, at least 2. Try a Dusknoir over Sudowoodo, as Dusknoir has the same base Attack stat (although you won't be investing in Attack) and is much bulkier.

Consider changing Salamence around. Read an analysis.

That's all I have to say, I'm too lazy. :)
