[OVERVIEW]
Togetic's unique Fairy / Flying typing alongside its decent bulk allows it to easily check Fighting-, Dark-, and Dragon-types such as Medicham, Scrafty, and Flygon. Furthermore, Togetic can hold Eviolite to amplify its defenses. Togetic also has a great support movepool, containing moves such as Defog, Heal Bell, and Thunder Wave. Togetic's access to Roost allows it to be a more effective defensive pivot. Sadly, Togetic is very reliant on Eviolite for bulk, which means that it is very susceptible to Knock Off and Trick. Moreover, Togetic has a weakness to Stealth Rock, which makes its job as a Defogger much more difficult. Togetic suffers from slight four-moveslot syndrome, which limits the number of roles it can play with one set. Togetic is also weak to Ice-, Rock-, and Steel-types, all of which are rather common in RU.

Moves
========
Dazzling Gleam has STAB and hits Dragon-, Dark-, and Fighting-types such as Flygon, Sneasel, and Medicham super effectively. Seismic Toss is an option to consistently deal 100 HP damage and break Substitutes against foes that Togetic could otherwise not touch, such as Durant and Meloetta. Roost provides consistent recovery that keeps Togetic healthy so that it can reliably pivot. Defog is used to remove entry hazards from the field. In the last slot, Heal Bell can be used to free Togetic from status conditions and support its teammates. Encore is an option to stop sweepers such as Calm Mind Meloetta and Swords Dance Virizion from setting up on Togetic. Thunder Wave can be used for speed control and generally provides better support against offensive teams.
Set Details
========
248 HP EVs and maximum Defense investment with a Bold nature allow Togetic to beat most physical attackers in the tier. Eviolite is used to greatly boost Togetic's bulk and should be the only item used on Togetic. Serene Grace is used because Super Luck is illegal with Defog and Hustle can hinder Togetic if it runs Seismic Toss.
Usage Tips
========
This set is mainly used on balanced or stall teams that need a cleric as well as a defensive pivot. Players should not let Togetic take a Knock Off, as it does not like to lose its Eviolite. Players should also not constantly use Roost, as it has limited PP. If Togetic does not carry Heal Bell, it should not be exposed to status moves, as poison and paralysis can cripple it. Togetic should constantly pivot into Fighting-, Ground-, and Dragon-type attacks, as it can take them easily, even at low health. It should be noted that if players opt to use Heal Bell on Togetic, it will be very vulnerable to setup sweepers such as Calm Mind Meloetta and Swords Dance Fletchinder.
Team Options
========
Emboar makes for a good partner, as it can handle Steel-types such as Mega Steelix and Bronzong that Togetic does not like going up against, while Togetic can handle Ground-types such as Flygon and Dugtrio that threaten Emboar. Bulky Ground-types such as Seismitoad and Rhyperior make for excellent teammates, as they can handle Electric-types for Togetic. Steel-types such as Mega Steelix and Bronzong have great defensive synergy with Togetic and can handle Ice- and Rock-types such as Sneasel, Mega Glalie, and Rhyperior that plague Togetic. Jellicent works well with Togetic, as it can handle Registeel and Rhyperior for Togetic while Togetic can stop Grass- and Dark-types such as Virizion and Scrafty for Jellicent. Pokemon that appreciate Togetic's ability to remove entry hazards are great team options. Fletchinder appreciates Stealth Rock being removed while Alomomola appreciates Toxic Spikes being removed.

Moves
========
Nasty Plot is used to boost Togetic's Special Attack by two stages and works well with Baton Pass, as Togetic can pass the boost to a teammate. Baton Pass also has a secondary use in that it can allows Togetic to generate momentum for its team. Roost is important to provide longevity and to allow Togetic to set up and pass boosts to its teammates more efficiently. Fire Blast allows Togetic to hit Steel-types such as Durant and Escavalier who that would otherwise set up on it. Dazzling Gleam is an option with STAB to hit Dragon-, Dark-, and Fighting-types such as Flygon, Spiritomb, and Scrafty.
Set Details
========
248 HP EVs and maximum Defense investment with a Bold nature allows Togetic to be a great defensive support Pokemon, as it can beat many physical attackers. Eviolite is used to amplify Togetic's bulk and should be the only item used on Togetic. Super Luck is an option over Serene Grace to have a higher chance of getting critical hits, but Serene Grace is preferred to have a better burn chance with Fire Blast.
Usage Tips
========
Players should make sure that no specially defensive walls such as Alomomola are still on the field when attempting to pass Togetic's boosts to a teammate. Although Togetic resists Knock Off, it should not be switching into it unless it is necessary, as it does not like to lose its Eviolite, as this severely reduces its defenses. Togetic should be kept away from any status such as poison, as it can severely hinder its job of passing boosts.
Team Options
========
Most special attackers work well with Togetic, as they carry great offensive pressure against defensive Pokemon and appreciate Togetic's ability to give them Nasty Plot boosts. Fast special attackers such as Jolteon, Choice Scarf Meloetta, and Accelgor work well with Togetic, as they have the Speed to best threaten opposing teams with the extra power provided by Nasty Plot. Entry hazard removers, such as Hitmonlee and Flygon, make for nice partners, as they can remove Stealth Rock so that Togetic can come in safely. These two can also weaken specially defensive Pokemon for Togetic to pass its boosts to a special attacker with less risk. Clerics such as Roselia and Lanturn pair well with Togetic, as they can provide Aromatherapy and Heal Bell support, respectively, to remove any annoying status conditions from Togetic.

Other Options
=============
An offensive set with Nasty Plot and Roost with Dazzling Gleam and Fire Blast can be used to take advantage of Togetic's decent Special Attack. A specially defensive spread of 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD with a Calm nature is an alternative to allow Togetic to take on special attackers such as Tangrowth and Meloetta more effectively. Tailwind is a good option for the defensive set to provide great Speed support. A set with dual screens is an alternative to provide solid defenses for the team. Wish + Protect can also be used to let Togetic pass Wishes to its teammates, but Togetic has low base HP and Pokemon such as Aromatisse and Alomomola do the job better.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Steel-types**: Mega Steelix deserves a special mention due to it being immune to Toxic and Thunder Wave, as well as taking minimal damage from Dazzling Gleam. It is then able to damage Togetic severely with Heavy Slam. Durant can protect itself from paralysis with Substitute and damage Togetic with its STAB Iron Head. Bulky Steel-types such as Bronzong and specially defensive Mega Steelix are also able to wall Togetic and can potentially stall it out.
**Poison-types**: Drapion is able to set up Swords Dance on Togetic, as it takes minimal damage from Dazzling Gleam and often has Lum Berry to cure itself of Thunder Wave once. It can then heavily damage Togetic with a STAB Poison Jab. Bulky Poison-types such as Qwilfish and Weezing resist Togetic's Dazzling Gleam and can set up entry hazards on it. The former is also able to Taunt and cripple it. Amoonguss can put Togetic to sleep with Spore and proceed to wear it down with its STAB Sludge Bomb, although it does not appreciate taking a boosted Fire Blast.
**Residual Damage**: Status conditions such as poison and burn can cripple Togetic, as it does not have any passive form of recovery. Toxic can rack up damage and knock it out eventually. Heal Bell variants of Togetic maybe able to mitigate status conditions, but they can be stalled out of Heal Bell, as it only has 8 PP. Due to Togetic's role as a Defogger, it is forced to take 25% damage from Stealth Rock most of the time.
**Wallbreakers**: Powerful wallbreakers such as Choice Band Emboar, Choice Specs Meloetta, and Exploud can apply a lot of pressure on Togetic, leaving it so weakened that it can be easily picked off. It should be noted that these Pokemon should be wary of Thunder Wave.
**Knock Off and Trick Users**: Although Togetic resists Knock Off, it does not want to lose its Eviolite, as this severely lowers its bulk. Fortunately, most Knock Off users such as Scrafty and Hitmonlee cannot beat Togetic. Trick users such as Meloetta and Medicham can take away Togetic's Eviolite and severely cripple it, as it not only loses its bulk from Eviolite, but is also crippled due to having a Choice item.
