Three Type 'Mons (Accepting Council Applications)

I'd say that Deoxys (all formes) should be Psychic/Steel. Sure, it's a space virus, but Deoxys is associated with meteors most of the time; it learns Meteor Mash through an event and it changes formes through meteorites within specific towns/cities. Then again, making it Psychic/Steel/Poison does make sense as well (sucks to have that Ground weakness though).

Aren't meteors mostly rock in nature though?

The sprites for the Pokemon are messed up... Maybe use the serebii sprites instead of smogon ones.

edit: oh this thread is old... well i'll leave these up anyways

octillery: water/fire/poison
new stats: 95/105/95/105/95/45 (+20 hp/def/sdef)
new moves: will-o-wisp, just cause every fire type has it. might help a bit with that EQ weak too.
justification: ink-spraying octopus with a cannon theme. it already learns a bunch of fire and poison moves by TM, and gunk shot is even one of its starting moves.

clawitzer: water/fire
new stats: 91/73/88/120/89/59 (+20 HP)
new moves: searing shot, will-o-wisp, lolzapcannon
mega launcher now boosts searing shot (and zap cannon)
justification: PISTOL SHRIMP

druddigon: rock/dragon/ground
new stats: 97/120/110/60/100/48 (+20 hp, +30 defense, +10 special defense)
new moves: stone edge, spiky shield, swords dance
justification: it's basically a gargoyle. i needed to differentiate it from tyrantrum somehow, so i made it ground in addition to rock. it's also bulkier and slower than tyrantrum, gets SD over DD, and has different abilities (mold breaker STAB EQ for offensive sets, rough skin on defensive - you're probably better off running strong jaw tyrantrum before sheer force druddigon though).

sunflora: grass/fire
new stats: 75/75/55/105/85/90 (+60 speed)
new moves: flamethrower, fire blast, weather ball, will-o-wisp
justification: sunflower flower. its niche is "sun sweeper with STAB on solarbeam AND fire moves", a thing that we disappointingly have yet to see in an actual pokemon. i dumped all 60 points into speed to make solar power viable over chlorophyll, though chlorophyll can still definitely be used. will-o-wisp might actually be useful if your moveset wasn't basically locked into sunny day/solar beam/fire move/earth power. oh well.

these are fun >_>

bump. This is a super fun OM and it's sad to see it so inactive.

Steel / Psychic Deoxys sounds cool. Electric sort of fits too (think there was something supporting it in the movie but it's been too long since I've seen it).

The above suggestions look pretty good also. Stat boosts seem a bit generous though.

Also, can Zygarde's ability be changed? Maybe something like Shed Skin, or just pressure if it's overpowered.

If I remember correctly, Deoxys was involved with electromagnetic waves, or something. I don't know if I heard that from the movie or just the show. Also, I agree that Zygarde needs a new ability; Illuminate Shed Skin seems alright. I don't see how it'd be overpowered (of course, I may be overlooking things/not thinking clearly).

These new boosts don't seem too OP to me. At first glance, I thought Druddigon's boosts would seem too OP, but then again, it's a Dragon-type weak to water and grass (2x weak).

I was thinking that with Shed Skin it could run a really nasty Coil set that could overcome burn. To be honest, I think it'd be a really awesome and fun set, but others might not think the same way.

I just think people should be more conservative with giving stat boosts. Liberal stat adjustments could easily ruin a good OM. Like, the only pokemon that absolutely need stat boosts are rubbish mons like Ledian and Luvdisc. Something like Druddigon is already pretty usable. +20 HP and +10 Def looks more sensible.

I meant fairy poison grass i Derped XD
FFR, it helps me a bit if you give me a reason for a change. I looked into it, and Roserade is in the Fairy Egg Group, so yes.

Was at first hesitent about poison, but Gunk Shot as an HS move is a good point.

Type and moves are fine, but speed bump is too much.
Also, can Zygarde's ability be changed? Maybe something like Shed Skin, or just pressure if it's overpowered.
Shed Skin gives it sem-reliable recovery through Rest, but I don't think that will be too bad, since it can't run all 3 STABs + boosting move + Rest. Approved.

I'd like to get a counsel together on this, for making and approving stat changes and types and so forth. Urdrakonis, you're invited. Everyone Else, if you would like to be part of a Three Type 'Mons counsel, please PM or VM me.

I'll fix the OP Sprites some day, I promise. If someone knows of an index of menu sprites, like I used before the smogon server change messed up the OP, I'd be very grateful.

The connection between pistol shrimps and fire is that pistol shrimps make low-pressure bubbles that create temperatures as high as the surface of the sun when they burst. If you take their name more literally, guns = firepower = bad pun.

I just think people should be more conservative with giving stat boosts. Liberal stat adjustments could easily ruin a good OM. Like, the only pokemon that absolutely need stat boosts are rubbish mons like Ledian and Luvdisc. Something like Druddigon is already pretty usable. +20 HP and +10 Def looks more sensible.

hm yeah now that i think about it, it has enough differentiating it from tyrantrum to not be outclassed... the special defense, for one.

So what's the connection between Pistol Shrimps and Fire? Also no ability/mechanics changes.

ah sorry i didn't notice the mechanics change rule

The connection between pistol shrimps and fire is that pistol shrimps make low-pressure bubbles that create temperatures as high as the surface of the sun when they burst. If you take their name more literally, guns = firepower = bad pun.

yes! the heat of the bubbles is more of a side effect than anything to the pistol shirmp - the part that makes the bubbles useful for defense is the force of them collapsing and the loud sound they make - but it's one of those cool facts everyone likes to throw around when talking about them and this is pokemon so i went with it :p

Type and moves are fine, but speed bump is too much.

i wanted to make it usable with solar power, but i'm not that good or experienced at theorymon so i may well have overshot it.

anyone who wants to is free to take my ideas/submissions and edit them by the way!

What I think of nimbosa changes (in bold).

octillery: water/fire/poison
new stats: 95/105/95/105/95/45 (+20 hp/def/sdef) This would give it 540 BST in addition to all of its other buffs. Its stats really do suck though, so I will approve it with +10 hp/def/spd instead.
new moves: will-o-wisp, just cause every fire type has it. might help a bit with that EQ weak too.
justification: ink-spraying octopus with a cannon theme. it already learns a bunch of fire and poison moves by TM, and gunk shot is even one of its starting moves.

clawitzer: water/fire
new stats: 91/73/88/120/89/59 (+20 HP) Flavour-wise it's a shrimp so a lower HP stat seems reasonable. Clawitzer's always been really easy to handle because of its average bulk, so splitting that 20 BST into def/spd fits better.
new moves: searing shot, will-o-wisp, lolzapcannon
mega launcher now boosts searing shot (and zap cannon)
justification: PISTOL SHRIMP Not too sure about this one. Guns and stuff are associated with the hot, explosiveness of fire, so it does seem quite sensible. Approved.

druddigon: rock/dragon/ground
new stats: 97/120/110/60/100/48 (+20 hp, +30 defense, +10 special defense) As I said before, Druddigon was already a pretty good pokemon (in its tier anyway). On further inspection, the rock/ground typing neutralises some of his special tankiness by giving him more weaknesses, and he'll still have to compete with the other big OU dragons. He's bigger than Mence, according to the Dex, so I will approve +20 hp, but I really don't know what other boosts he deserves. Any suggestions?
new moves: stone edge, spiky shield, swords dance I do think these movepool additions are quite cool, so I will approve them.
justification: it's basically a gargoyle. i needed to differentiate it from tyrantrum somehow, so i made it ground in addition to rock. it's also bulkier and slower than tyrantrum, gets SD over DD, and has different abilities (mold breaker STAB EQ for offensive sets, rough skin on defensive - you're probably better off running strong jaw tyrantrum before sheer force druddigon though).

sunflora: grass/fire
new stats: 75/75/55/105/85/90 (+60 speed) Okay, this mon is arguably bottom trash tier with things like Ledian. That said, giving it such a drastic boost in speed is a bad way to fix it. With its current stats, what could it potentially excel at? Specially defensive, slow Sun Nuke possibly? I definitely agree with giving it a niche abusing Solar Power.
new moves: flamethrower, fire blast, weather ball, will-o-wisp
justification: sunflower flower. its niche is "sun sweeper with STAB on solarbeam AND fire moves", a thing that we disappointingly have yet to see in an actual pokemon. i dumped all 60 points into speed to make solar power viable over chlorophyll, though chlorophyll can still definitely be used. will-o-wisp might actually be useful if your moveset wasn't basically locked into sunny day/solar beam/fire move/earth power. oh well. I'll actually have to disagree with fire/grass. First of all, it's a flower. There's nothing fiery about it. Giving it fire typing because of Sun is like giving Yanmega dragon typing because of dragonflies. If there is a flavour justification for this it hasn't been provided.

But Yanmega being Bug/Flying/Dragon is actually a good idea...

No it's not. Dragonflies aren't dragons. They're not reptiles either, which are commonly associated with dragons. They're not widely known as mystical or mythologically significant. Yanmega doesn't even learn a single Dragon type move. Apart from both words containing the word 'dragon' they've got nothing.

I dont really like that logic because the Japanese name for the Dark type is the Evil type, which is the reason I hate make pokemon dark types just because they are nocturnal (Persian and Crobat do fit the evil theme, but not all nocturnal pokemon do)

Luxray LOOKS like a dark type (dark fur everywhere), learns crunch by level, and has x-ray vision. it's not just nocturnal.

...anyway here are some theorymonned sets

Blaziken @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- High Jump Kick
- Flare Blitz
- Knock Off

Potentially a very powerful revenge killer. Can also 2HKO bulky waters like Vaporeon and Quagsire. Also, BB gives it a strong neutral hit on stuff like Azumarill and flying dragons.

Mawile @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Play Rough

Same old Mawile, except with STAB sucker punch.

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Fusion Bolt
- Outrage / Substitute / Roost
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power

Fusion Bolt is your main STAB. Ice Beam lets it beat most ground-type switch ins and Teravolt Earth Power handles the rest.

Okay, so these aren't the most interesting sets. That's because there really isn't much of a meta yet and there's still lots of testing to be done. If you're interested in battling, PM me and we'll schedule some battles.

One more thing to note is that it gets perfect neutral coverage outside of Sableye, and Spiritomb with its STABs alone, so Earthquake may be a better coverage option if those things become used.

Gonna edit in some set's I've made at a later point in time.

Speaking of Farfetch'd... what do you guys think should happen to his stats? Even with the current boosts, they're terrible. Bumping it to a BST of 480, as suggested in the OP, sounds fair.

80/100/80/58/75/87 = 480

That's a start. What does everyone else think?

I like the stat spread, but how about increasing the speed just a tad bit more, like base 90 speed?
