Now, in this topic, I want you all to discuss what the meanest and most sadistic strategies with Encore in the D/P generation are. Encore is a move that forces your opponent to repeat their move for 4-8 turns, which is friggin insane. I'll give you what I think.
This list is not in any particular order:
1) Encoring a stat-up and switching over to Bibarel - This is extremely mean, which is why I like it. If Bibarel has the Unaware ability, the opponent is essentially forced to switch out, or get Super Fanged -> attacked to death. Or it'll also just get put to sleep with Yawn. If they switch out, whatever switches in gets 50% stripped off their health from the incoming Super Fang, and even moreso from other things like Stealth Rock/Spikes/Sandstorm.
2) Encoring a support move/stat-upper/immunity and switching over to a Perishtrapper - I haven't actually used this one before, but it sounds extremely fun and evil to use since the opponent will be completely screwed. If they switch, whatever just switched in will get Mean Looked or Perish Songed depending on what the user used first, most likely Mean Look. Perish Song will force ANOTHER switch, or if you used Mean Look, they're trapped, and you can just Perish Song them. This does sound fun, I might try it out sometime.
3) Encoring a support/stat-up/immunity and switching over to a Trap - A Trap referring to Dugtrio/Trapinch/Magnezone/Probopass, most likely Dugtrio for all-purpose trapping. This is just pure evil, but I like it, since it basically guarantees a kill unless the opponent has U-Turn/Shed Shell/Baton Pass. This one is definitely the most evil of the 4 up here.
4) Encoring a support/stat-up/immunity and switching over to something that can destroy things with Focus Punch - This is probably the least threatening out of the 4 that I have, but it's still extremely powerful, especially with STAB. The opponent is going to receive huge damage no matter what they do, switching out, or staying in. Of course you can predict the ghosts coming in though. This one isn't as evil since it doesn't basically guarantee kills, but can still be devastating.
Alrighty, so discuss some more evil strategies with Encore, since this move, IMO, is really gamebreaking. Especially with Stealth Rock/Spikes on your team.
