The Good, The Bad, and The Witchy: It's Mismagius!!

i am of the opinion that missy is one of the best mons in the current uu metagame. it sets up on so many threats, especially with it's sub cm set, and so many teams are ill-equiped to handle her. not only that, but she acts as a great spinblocker as well in a meta terribly weak to spikestacking offense.

Mismagius is such a beast just because it sets up on a special wall while being a special attacker. The SubCm seems the best set with max Def, as you will be almost unbeatable, only to strong physical attackers like heracross of Weavile's Night slash.

all mismagius should run max speed, or at least enough to outspeed base 100s (216 iirc), EVs with hp and defense can be tweaked a little to make subs unbreakable by weak special attacks at certain levels of spdef boost, e.g. +1 being unbroken by milotics 0 sp.a surf or something.

fatty said it, subcm seems like the best, with more wriggle room at the cost of slower set up compared to sub np

Throwing my 50 cents in, I too agree that SubCM is the best set, for reasons already expained. It also takes advantage of Magius' lovely 105 base SDef

Umbreon was a classic Missy-buster last gen with Payback and Pursuit. It was also useful for passing Wishes. It easily shrugs off boosted HP Fightings. With no Atk investment, a STAB Payback does 89-105%, so it hurts.

I feel highly out-classed with my limited knowledge of the metagame, but I have been a Missy fan for quite a while now. After falling in love with the ghostly vixen when I made a mono-ghost team in honor of Halloween, She has not stopped impressing me. I typically run the sub-plot with max spd and sp.a, and it has brought on a number of late game sweeps. While the CM set provides more defensive staying power, I typically find the fast boost helps punch more holes in the teams of opponents over the course of her short lifespan than the CM investment is worth. I have even gone so far as to attempt swapping her in for the Gengar I used to run in OU. Slightly less speed traded to the ability to boost that special attack is worth it in my opinion 8 times out of 10.

Also, this Missy set, brought me my first ever 6-0 sweep. So I think that holds a special place in my heart and may create a bit of a bias.

Glad to hear :3

Anyways, the sub/CM set is best imo, too.

Also, if it weren't for raikou, she'd be the best at using such a set and by far outclasses chandelure's set.
