the best poke synergies!

2v2

Gravity Probopass + Garchomp

Have Probopass use Gravity so Garchomp can abuse it's STAB EQ. Probopass also traps Steel types (Like Skarmary), so they are skrewed from switching out and are weak to EQ.

Obviously Probopass is slower than Garchomp and will die from EQ before it can use it, so Have Garchomp try and flinch Hax with Rock Slide.

Probopass can then use Gravity, and also make sure Probopass has Protect so it can stay in and use Protect on Earthquakes.

Remember he is a Tank, with 145 Def/150 SP Defense, so unless they are targeting him with a Fighting or EQ move, he will probably survive.

Ninjask + Cradilly / Octilery
This Normally forces in one of their phazers and then you get the free stat boost and cradily has options like barrier / amnesia / sword dance, plus with 1 speed boost, its quite durable.

2v2:

Garchomp + Zapdos

Both are fast, and most importantly immune to eachother's strongest STAB moves which hit everything on the field. (Discharge/EQ).

Either Scarf Garchomp, or give it Lum berry for Zapdos to use Swagger on.

With Discharge, your opponents are likely to be paralyzed quickly.

Zapdos: @ Leftovers

HP ICE
Discharge
Roost
Swagger/ Protect

Garchomp: @ Lum Berry/Scarf
EQ
Dragon Claw
Stone Edge
Fire Blast/ Fang

Hp Ice is for Flygon/Claydol/Grass Types. Fire Blast is for Scarfed Chomp, and Fang is when Zapdos Swaggers it when it holds Lum Berry.

I like to Lead with ScarfGar + CBStaraptor + Electivire

I start of with Scarf Gar use Hypnosis if i don't like the lead switch to Staraptor on their switch since Staraptor (use Jolly Nature) is pretty fast it can U-turn out if it is threatened by anything but if it is electric U-Turn to Electivire for a boost Sweep Then when Vire goes down Staraptor and ScarfGar can revenge kill it most of the time do to their Power and speed.

Wall with Skill Swap+Regigigas

The wall uses skill swap, and seeing as it doesn't really need attack or speed anyways, it doesn't really lose much. Regigigas gets to sweep.

I like Salamence / Metagross

Metagross resists Salamence's 3 weakness, and Salamence is immune to ground / resists fire.. while Salamence makes good for attacking from the special side, and Metagross on the physical.

Really lame synergy, but it always counters me when I try my hand at Double Battling:

Rhyperior + Gyarados

Lighting rod takes in everything trying to get rid of gyara, giving it free time to DD, whilst Rhy can EQ the electric pokemon away. Its fucking annoying, and is the reason why I don't double battle often.

I'd like to try this out. What moveset/item/EV's/nature would you propose?

That's indeed my fav pokemon combination, I also love celebi + heatran or heatran + bronzong

doesnt this kill probopass too e_E

Again, first turn I mentioned it uses Rock Slide to flinch opponents, while Probopass uses Gravity.

Use Crobat with Hypnosis and U-turn, helps save pokemon slots.
--------------------------------

Cresselia + CB Swellow

Cresselia holds Flame Orb and uses Psycho Shift on CB Swellow. Cresselia can also burn opponents this way...

Cresselia gets:

Rest
Psycho Shift
Ice Beam
Reflect

Swellow gets:

U-turn
Brave Bird
Facade
Mirror Move

Replace Cacturne with Toxicroak.

Toxicroak heals off of Surf, and can Flatter a Slowking/Bro.

He takes Dark/Grass/Bug/ attacks, while Starmie takes Fire/Psychic attacks.

Granted, they don't cover as well type-wise, but they can still do alot. (Sucker Punch that Azelf), Surf that Infernape, etc.

Being immune and healing from Surf is also a plus.

Jolteon + Gyarados is the best combo in the game IMO. Pass a sub to Gyarados, and watch him sweep. If you fear a T-bolt, Jolt can just come back in and heal away the lost health.

Starmie @ Leftovers
-Thunder wave
-Surf
-Rapid Spin
-Recover / Thunderbolt

+

Mamoswine @ Leftovers
Evs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Imprish Nature
-Curse
-Earthquake
-Ice Shard
-Rest

Starmie paralyses everyone so that the field is free for this thing to eat the enemy alive.

Giratina+Forretress. They cover all of each other's weaknesses with resistances and giratina blocks rapid spin while forretress rapid spins and sets up spikes.

I tried that on an Uber team, and it isn't so great. A DDance/SDance from a Ray/Grou easily over powers Giratina. They usually carry a FIre move as well (overheat) which kills Forretress...

Find a better offense, rather than a nice defense. I had realize too much passive damage (especially with Rest/Roost/Recover being common in ubers) can just be a waste of time.

Think of a Strong Special Sweeper/Physical Sweeper/Physical Tank/Special Tank/Healer/Mixed Sweeper for a team:

Ie:

Skarm
Bliss
Infernape
Gengar
Salamence
Jirachi

Work quite well. Jirachi heals with Wish, Salamence is your DDancer, Gengar is your Special Sweeper and takes Fighting for Bliss, and Skarm+Bliss make a great duo.

Infernape is to take Fire Hits for Skarm/Jir, as does Salamence, while Skarm/Salamence/Gengar take EQs.

Sal+Jir also work to cover eachothers weaknesses.

Jirachi also takes Psychic hits sent to gengar as Blissey does take Shadow Balls sent to gengar.

Anyways:

Togekiss + Garchomp

Togekiss:

Safeguard
Follow Me
Roost
Air Slash

Garchomp:

Eq
Outrage
Fire Blast
Stone Edge

Togekiss grants confusion/burn/status immunity and support.

My Favorite Combo is still Butterfree+Azumarill

Butterfree
Jolly
252 Spd, 252 Atk 6 Hp
@Focus Stash/Damp Rock
U-Turn
Sleep Powder
Stun Spore
Rain Dance

Azumarill
Brave (0 spd EVs)
252 Atk, 252 HP, 6 SDef
@Choice Band
Aqua Jet
Waterfall
Double Edge
Ice Punch

I lead with Butterfree, and sleep their starter. If they are slower then me I get a free raindance and I can U-Turn out while keeping, butterfree at full health. If butterfree is slower I can still put the lead to sleep and set up raindance only I will be down to 1 hp. Early game Azumarril can OHKO many pokemon and 2HKO many walls. (Bronzong, Cressilia, Skarmory and Blissy cannot switch in safely.) Most water types fall to waterfall when Azumarill is in the rain (Starmie, CMcune, and Milotic come to mind). Double Edge is there mainly for Vaporeon or any water types I need to deal with when im out of the rain. Ice Puch kills all of the dragons even after intimidate. Aqua Jet owns late game and takes care of speedy sweepers (Infernape, Gengar, Azelf come to mind) With Azumarill's bulkiness he can take any unboosted grass knot, energy ball or thunder bolt without fear (and quite a few boosted ones.) Azumarril usually nets 2-3 KOs if I get the rain dance in the begining and he came come back late game and clean up with Aqua Jet.

Giratina+Forretress. They cover all of each other's weaknesses with resistances and giratina blocks rapid spin while forretress rapid spins and sets up spikes.

With lugia and/or wish support, you could base an excellent ubers stall team around this.

ubers stall? with cm mewtwo, swords dance groudon, dd rayquaza, not to mention heatran, who wreaks havoc under the sun? you build an excellent ubers stall team and we'll see how good it does.

on topic - dd tyranitar and specs or scarf gengar is really aggravating. bulky grounds don't like specs hp ice or energy ball and the typing works just about perfectly.

Taunt destroys everything you just said. Kyorgre gets rain dance to get heatran.

I will make a team!

I alrdy tried that Xaio, as u can see in the "Uber Help?" Thread. It didn't work. I took out Giratina and kept in Luiga with Forretress. I also use Kyogre, so if your plan is to try those 3 pokemon, I suggest u use the remainign 3 slot for offense, and quick offense. Like Deoxys-A, Mewtwo, etc.
