Welcome to SV Ubers UU!
Ubers UU, or "UUbers", is a unique tier that functions as a usage-based tier beneath Ubers. It is a place for the low-powered legendaries and OUBL Pokemon who are too strong for OU, but too weak for regular Ubers to find play. We are not above OU, we are adjacent to it. OU is not affected by Ubers UU, and Ubers UU does not affect tiering in the OU-PU system. This is a handy graphic (made by vogueferret on discord) which explains the system.
Like any subforum, the Ubers UU forum has rules, and if you don't follow these rules at least to an extent, you are likely to receive an infraction.

Ubers UU Social
The Ubers UU discord has been the place for community congregation, and serves as a place to chat with the rest of the user base. It also serves as a medium for various projects such as youtube videos, analyses and tournaments.
We also have a room on Pokemon Showdown which you can find here or by simply navigating the Pokemon Showdown chat list. Our room sports a healthy environment for getting involved in the tier with a staff that's prepared to help you with any questions you may have. We share this room with other UMs, so please be polite and don't drown the chat in Ubers UU discussion.
We have also started a Ubers UU youtube channel, with commentary and potentially informational content down the line. Check it out!
Tiering Method
The Ubers UU tier begins with a base of the regular Ubers format. This means moves like shed tail and last respects are legal, as well as abilities like sand veil. We the look at the Ubers usage statistics from the previous month, and ban any Pokemon above a 4.52% usage threshold. In this banning process, we do not consider whether the Pokemon is banned or legal in any other tier. As of November 2023, Skeledirge is banned even though it's usable in the UU tier. It gets more than 4.52% usage in Ubers, so it's banned in Ubers UU.
From this starting point, the community and council decide on bans. The Ubers UU council will quickban any blatantly overpowered, uncompetitive or toxic Pokemon with a 66% or greater majority to "Ubers UUBL." For Pokemon which are not as obviously egregious, there will be a suspect test, in which you can ladder up to qualify for a suspect voter role. As explained in this post, the suspect threshold will be 60%.

This tier could not have happened without the support of so many people. I need to take time and thank as many of them as I can think of. I'm going in mildly-chronological order here, there is no one "most thanked". We needed everyone on this list to make Ubers UU a reality.
1. r/Stunfisk. This idea of a tier between OU and Ubers has been floating around for years, but the constant discussion about it on reddit inspired me to find a way in which it could work. Promoting our community on Stunfisk has always been a primary form of advertising and community-building.
2. The mod team, both past and present. You were all incredible and necessary for making all of this happen. In approving articles, enforcing rules to keep the discord constructive and safe, and giving me new ideas and support when I needed it.
3. DoubleAforLife, Imperial, Axiom, the Petmods custom server, and everyone who helped us get our first version of a custom ladder. It was scuffed, it didn't always work, but it showed us what was possible and how big a niche there was for it.
4. Chompy and Jimothy Cool. These are the youtubers who skyrocketed our discord and scene to the forefront of Pokemon discussion, and it was only possible due to them volunteering their time and platform to help us.
5. NJNP and Taka, the leaders of previous attempt of similar tiers in the past (BLUbers and Pseudos). Their input and guidance have been extremely helpful, and listening to what they did and didn't do helps guide our tiering philosophy to this day.
6. The Dawn custom server admins, specifically DarkPhoenix and Volco. They were super gracious, skilled, and willing to volunteer their time for a community they had no involvement in. Getting a real, secure ladder on a side server was so important, and has undoubtedly helped in the final push towards smogon recognition.
7. The smogon staff, specifically Isaiah and Aberforth who first approached me about making this tier recognized. Thank you for believing in this community. :)
8. The Ubers UU council members, who put in so much work to make all of this possible. The last 2 weeks have been a blur of work, and they've all volunteered so much time to something we all benefit from.
9. Everyone who plays, enjoys, and talks about the tier. The community is not me, it is the people, and we make this tier a reality. Thank you

- Always ask for permission from one of the forum moderators before making a new thread.
- When posting in a discussion-heavy thread, such as the current metagame thread or the Viability Rankings, do your utmost best to make posts with thought-out content. Any post that is interpreted to be inappropriate for the discussion, made in jest, or posted without any thought or reason behind it is subject to moderator discretion.
- Do not post threads for teams in this forum asking for rates. Use the RMT forum for this instead and be sure to read their rules too.
- Do not make a thread to ask a simple question. We have a thread made for answering questions that you can find here.
