Hello everyone! This is my first post here. In Gen 9 I tried many types but found Bug to be my most played and I'd like to provide a team that has been working for me. Without further ado, I present:

Balanced Bug
kleavor.gif
lokix.gif
yanmega.gif
forretress.gif
araquanid.gif
volcarona.gif

Pokepaste Here

Kleavor = Rocks Setter, Scarf Revenge Killer, Offensive Pivot, General Lead
Lokix = Immediate Physical Power, Revenge Killer (especially on mons faster than Kleavor), Knock Off Utility, Offensive Pivot
Yanmega = Special Setup Sweeper, Anti-Heal Utility
Forretress = Physical Wall, Spikes Setter, Hazard Control, Defensive Pivot, General Lead #2
Araquanid = Special Wall, Sticky Web Setter, Trapper, Surprise Coat Killer
Volcarona = LOL Broken, Special Setup Sweeper #2, Burn Utility

Forretress + Araquanid form your defensive core with Kleavor/Lokix/Forretress forming a VoltTurn core for pivoting. There are two special attackers each with coverage moves because I found Volcarona alone not being enough against some special walls. Yanmega's Throat Spray is activated with either Bug Buzz or Psychic Noise, and I'm a huge fan of Protect to gain information, waste weather turns, as well as guarantee +1 Speed at the very least.

Testing Proof:
(200 Battles starting at 1100, 55% Win-Rate)

I would love to provide another sample team here!

https://pokepast.es/5276447ad67fd0e1
It is a generic offensive ghost team.
I'mma list each pokemon and its role:

- Fluttermane:
Sweeper that breaks special walls and Counters: Darkrai, Urshifu RS, Fluttermane and Volcarona

- Dragapult:
Speed control and counters: Most non bulky dragons, ceruledge, scizor and fortress

- Sinischta:
Walls any physical attacker without setup options

- Ceruledge:
Setup weakness policy sweeper that counters: Scizor, fortress, iron valiant, spectrier and gholdengo

- Brambleghast:
Hazards control and walls tinglu

- Mimikyu:
Setup sweeper that counters: bisharp, urshifu, iron valiant and darkrai

Hey everyone! I've recently hit some high places on the ladder with a crazy team that I built a month ago.
https://pokepast.es/1446a1b77de4f54e
FAIRY SCREENS
:sv/azumarill::sv/iron-valiant::sv/klefki:
:sv/enamorus::sv/flutter-mane::sv/tinkaton:

:flutter-mane: Flutter Mane is the team's special wallbreaker, with specs set instead of Calm Mind as to break Poison Stall better, else you may struggle against Unaware Clod or some other specific walls. This lad hits like a truck with its stab moves and can check threats with the other two coverages.

:azumarill: Azumarill is still insane as a physical sweeper, carried by Belly Drum + Priority in Aqua Jet but also being able to put a bit of utility thanks to Knock Off to get rid of Helmets, Lefties and annoying stuff.

:tinkaton: Tinkaton is a great anti-lead thanks to rocks and Encore, and is also able to shut down sweepers with Thunder Wave. Thanks to its high SpD you can take some special hits pretty well and provide instant utility.

:enamorus: Scarf Enam grants speed control to the team and is also able to get quick damage. Superpower occasionally causes emergency sweeps.

:iron-valiant: Mixed Iron Valiant is Great thanks to its coverage BoltBeam and bonkers stab. It can get surprise kills and make progress most of the times.

:klefki: Klefki allows you to get easy sweeps with Flutter Mane and mostly Azumarill thanks to the screens. Spikes chip mons down putting instant pressure if combined with Azu Knock Off and also make games against Sturdy/Sash mons safer. This mon can also shut down physical sweepers instantly thanks to Reflect + Foul Play.

Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

- Fiery Dance
- Psychic
- Morning Sun

Heatran @ Air Balloon

Cinderace @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Libero
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pyro Ball
- High Jump Kick
- Court Change
- Sucker Punch
:ceruledge: SD sweeper, strong dual STABs with Poltergeist and Bitter Blade. STAB priority with Shadow Sneak. Weak Armor + Focus Sash for get double speed against physical attackers.

:Volcanion: Mandatory to have on Sunless Fire. Enough speed for Adamant/Modest base 50 Spe mons. Dual STAB with Sludge Bomb and Earth Power for coverage. EPower hitting things hard like Toxapex, Archaludon, and opposing Volcanion. Sludge lets you hit Ogerpon hard and Fairies like Valiant and Azumarill.

:ogerpon-Hearthflame: SD Sweeper set with Horn Leech for longevity and Superpower to OHKO Archaludon and Dark types.

:volcarona: Bulky Volc is rising to become the main spread to use on Fire with the recent Gouging Fire ban. Bulkarona also improves the Dragon vs Fire matchup substantially. The spread allows you to outspeed Flutter Mane at +1 and you can tank hits from physical mons like Roaring Moon, Dragonite, Iron Hands, Iron Treads. With the spread along with Flame Body, you can get some useful procs that further exemplifies Volcarona’s snowball potential. Psychic allows you to hit most things that resist Fiery Dance and also annoying Poison types like Sneasler, Toxapex, and Okidogi.

:Heatran: SpD Tran has been back on the rise and that’s why I’m using this spread. There’s enough speed to outspeed Skarmory. Heavy Slam for Fairies, mainly to OHKO Flutter Mane. Rock setter as well.

:Cinderace: Libero Utility Mon, Sucker Punch for priority revenge killing, Court Change for hazard control, HJK for Rock, Dark and Normal types and Archaludon/Heatran.

Here's my Monofire team i've been using in my past week of returning to showdown.

Monofire - pokepaste.

i wasn't a fan of the other samples used here so made some tweaks to have better coverage. I made it to 1600 ELO with this team so far.

Torkoal, your physical tank + Drought + Hazard Clearer. I also use Clear smog on him to help deal with setup

Heatran is your special defense bulk. also provides coverage. i also run Flame body on him since running flash fire is pointless on monofire imo.

Volcarona is your setup sweeper especially versus bad matchups such as water and ground monos with Giga Drain.

Cinderace is the fast coverage + court change incase you have no rocks up and torkoal is dead.

Ceruledge is pretty straight forward, typically swords dance with the sash and typically sweep.

Ogerpon is also for weakness coverage, and using Play rough helps with some dragon coverage ect...

"Balanced" Ice
:ninetales-alola: :avalugg: :cetitan: :kyurem: :dewgong: :mamoswine:

Offensive ice ft. Dewgong
:ninetales-alola: :kyurem: :cetitan: :avalugg: :weavile: :dewgong:

Explanations for some things:

Why earthquake on Avalugg?
In the current ice samples, Avalugg runs iron defense and body press as its only offensive coverage.
I take a different approach and replace iron defense with Earthquake.
While Avalugg doesnt exist to be a offensive threat, it can provide well needed chip damage and even decent damage with earthquake.
In my opinion, there is better use in not being a sitting duck against ghost types when you can provide some more meaningful chip. Iron defense wont allow you to win against your biggest threat (scizor).

Why Dewgong?
I am possibly Dewgongs biggest advocate.
Dewgong provides a safe switch in to some of ice's biggest threats. Heatran and Volcarona, Gholdengo, as well as fire in general.
It also provides respectable defenses and thick fat to ensure that special fire type moves do near to nothing and neutrality to steel.
I can tank a few hits from fast potent killers like Latios and Fluttermane, while also providing knock off to deal a decent portion of damage and getting rid of their scarf/specs.
Dewgong also gets access to flip turn and since Dewgong is slow, it provides ice with slow pivoting. Allowing Dewgong to freely escape when needed into a faster, more capable threat. Perfectly suited for ice's hyper offensive nature.

I hope these will get put to good use :)

Good afternoon, I figured since the banning of :pmd/gouging fire: I would throw some much needed hopefully soon to be sample teams inside of the mix. These teams have shown to be quite the decency especially on a metagame still trying to find its course of balance since Dragon got gutted with a defensive investment. Enjoy. Links will be linked in with the sprites so just click on them!

PSYCHIC ft ROCKY HELMET MEW & ITEMLESS HATTERENE

:pmd/iron boulder: :pmd/slowking galar: :pmd/mew: :pmd/hatterene: :pmd/hoopa unbound: :pmd/gallade:
Starting from left to right, we have quite arguably the second to third fastest Psychic mon that isn't Deoxy's speed. With Choice Scarf Iron Boulder outspeeds everything. From Meowscarada, to scarf Enamorus, to non Choice Scarf Flutter Mane. Despite losing access to Swords Dance it still provides an excellent late game clean, or to check opposing threats to Psychic such as Choice Scarf Meowscarada. It also helps a lot versus Bug once you are able to remove the likes of Scizor, and anything with Sturdy or a reliable Focus Sash. Slowking Galar pairs as a good specially defensive switch in with a slow pivot with Chilly Reception + Futire Sight for Teleport shenanigans along with Toxic Spikes just to help more with Iron Boulder cleaning on the off chance there is no Poison type or Heavy Duty Boots Pokemon. Mew is the shining star of this team as with complementary coverage + the addition of Stealth Rock a typical switch in can find itself being demolished by the coverage listed. Hatterene is in the spotlight unfortunately without an item. This is to counter balance dealing with Poltergeist spam along with Knock Off. And for decent additional Special Defense tanking, I slapped two Assault Vests on Hoopa and on Gallade.

NEWFOUND DRAGON ft DRAGONITE & CHOICE SCARF LATIAS
:pmd/Archaludon: :pmd/Dragapult: :pmd/Dragonite: :pmd/Goodra Hisui: :pmd/Kyurem: :pmd/Latias:
Dragon has found many new resources to cover the spot that :pmd/Gouging Fire: has left us. You can opt for Raging Bolt to help cover flying a lot more, Choice Scarf Roaring Moon, heck even Kommo-o! Within the same time frame I made and crafted this team with the thought of "hmm, what can I pose a threat to that can statistically still make this top type maintain its dominance?" And I found just the idea! Choice Scarf Dragapult & Choice Specs Kyurem. Dragapult, Dragon's fastest base speed Pokemon, can catch opposing Dragapult, Choice Scarf Roaring Moon, relatively any Dragon that can't handle taking a Draco Meteor from it and dispose of it with just one hit! This also works for Flutter Mane, especially Choice Scarf Flutter Mane sets as it outspeeds and threatens with a KO though you do need to make sure you chip it to AT LEAST 70 HP before firing off a Shadow Ball. This set also outspeeds Choice Scarf Meowscarada as well and threatens a KO in a damage range with a fast U-Turn. I also additionally paired this with Choice Scarf Latias as it is one of the best forms of Support Dragons with Healing Wish and Trick to catch off bulky issues down the line. Enjoy!

and finally. . .

DOUBLE KANTONIAN BIRD FLYING!
:pmd/Landorus: :pmd/Moltres: :pmd/Articuno: :pmd/Corviknight: :pmd/Tornadus Therian: :pmd/Gliscor:
This arguably is Flying's best source of team composition. Articuno & Corviknight dealing with Ice types or Ice type coverage threats such as Ice Beam Choice Specs Protean Greninja or Choice Scarf Triple Axel Meowscarada. Tornadus-Therian being a great Regenerator spam Pokemon with U-Turn and having the bulk paired with Assault Vest to bait out non Choice-Specs Latios (You have to make sure you know the damage output well enough to tell the difference between Expert Belt Recover sets or flat out Choice Specs sets. Soul Dew can be mentioned though you will know exactly if it's Soul Dew). Overall this team is just Flying's best means of pivot, damage output, and overall bulk.

Hi, this isnt the place for asking help / advice / comments on your team, this team doesnt seem so good though with Quagsire / Araq / Pelipper meant for different teams entirely. Quag is not really used nowadays but prefers very bulky teams, Spider Araquanid is for HO Sticky Webs teams (unreliable), and Pelipper is for enabling swift swimmers like Barraskewda. For more info pls join the monotype discord and ask in teambuilding help. Ty.

Its the first time I post a team despite playing this game for so many years now. I decide to publish this mono grass team because it's a team that I really liked playing and the only type of team i played since restarted playing this game. I had great success playing this team like near hitting 1600 on a new account only playing this team.

brambleghast.png.m.1733184959
is the lead against a lot of match up, with his acces to spikes and rapid spin it allow you to control the hazard early on. Polteirgeist is a realy powerful move with no real drawback since item booster energy is ban. Curse is here to take yourself out on some situation against a defog mon or against a Kleavor with Stone axe.

sinistcha.png.m.1733184959
is here for a neutrality to fire and walling a lot physical Pokemon, with good physical buff Strength sap and the burn chance and recovery with Matcha gotcha. Calm mind is here as way to make Sinistcha a win condition in some match up. Rocky helmet is present to punish U-turn users and Triple axel which are both really good against the team.

ogerpon-hearthflame.png.m.1733184959
is really good against mono Steel with is fire stab taht heatran is not immune you also have trailblaze to get a speed boost on a weaken mon, Play rough for mono Dragon and SD to make huge hole on the opponent team. I had also good success with Ogerpon rock like you can see in some replay.

meowscarada.png.m.1733184959
is a great revenge killer with is amazing speed and the choice scarf, Knock off allow to remove item like rocky helmet and boots and have a good dark stab in the team, u-turn for pivoting, Triple axel for big ice damage as long as you don’t miss and for the last move you have choice with flower trick for rain water you can be really annoying against the team, Play rough for a more accurate move against dragon and a good move against fighting, and tpunch for the bolt beam combo.

whimsicott.png.m.1733184959
is really good in some match up like dragon or dark with the strong choice specs Moonblast you OHKO every pokemon after 1 spike in dragon except the steel duo. Shadow ball is to hit pokemon like Gholdengo in ghost. Psychic is here to have a good move against mono poison. Trick allows you to block your opponent in one move like a setup move or criple a sneasler who activated is item to erase the unburden speed boost.

breloom.png.m.1733184959
in some match up is a really good wall breaker or a finisher with really strong mach punch. Bullet seed to do enormous damage against water stall or ground team. CC to do great wallbreaking and bulldoze for mono poison.

Standard mon with standard set. You can run Life orb going mixed with Close combat but Specs is generally better. Provides a dragon resist, sableye answer and a great special attacker.

View attachment 708968
Other standard mon, is the standard physical wall set for spin, put rocks and take physical hits.

View attachment 708969
Standard AV without the standard evs that usually carries. You can put more speed but you loss bulk and power if doing that. Checks special attackers, provides a physic neutrality and hits hard. Very useful in the poison MU.

Specs Keldeo. Hydropump, Focus Blast, Aura sphere and maybe Air slash are viable options to considere. A second special attacker.
View attachment 708971
Standard scarf set for revenge things, no more to say. Other options are rock slide for Volcarona or Night slash over switcheroo.

In Zamazenta place now is Cobalion. The steel typing is pretty valuable for a monofighting type take with neutrality the 3 fighting weakness.
Heavy slam better STAB for fairies. Evs for outpace Garchomp, but can change.
