Abilities: Seed Sower | HA: Harvest
Aditional moves: All Grass and Normal moves
Sample Set:
Arboliva @ Leftovers
Ability: Seed Sower
EVs: 248 HP / 144 SpA / 116 SpD
IVs: 0 Spe
Modest Nature
- Boomburst
- Matcha Gotcha / Seed Flare / Apple Acid
- Earth Power / Glare / Court Change
- Strength Sap / Milk Drink

Arboliva is a useful lowley utility bulky Attacker here, with Boomburst and Seed Flare allowing it to exert offensive pressure while still being a good defensive pivot. Matcha Gotcha allows it tp deal good damage while also potentially burning the target. Normal gives some good utility as well as alternative forms of Recovery.

:ss/skuntank:
Pokémon: Skuntank
OM of Origin: Re-Evolution
Stats: 143 / 123 / 87 / 101 / 81 / 94

Aditional moves: N/A
Sample Set:
Skuntank @ Black Sludge
Ability: Aftermath
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Gunk Shot
- Sucker Punch
- Temper Flare / Toxic Spikes / Taunt

Skuntank @ Black Sludge
Ability: Aftermath
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Haze
- Flamethrower / Super Fang
- Toxic Spikes / Taunt / Roar

Skuntank has excellent bulk for an offensive mon and potential defensive pivot, allowing it to function as an excellent gluemon throughout the metagame. 143/87/81 bulk is actually excellent, making it pretty hard to take down, but this is balamced by its lack of recovery. Stuntank serves as a solid check to Dragapult and especially a check to Trevenant.

:ss/zapdos:
Pokémon: Zapdos
OM of Origin: Bonus Type
Stats: 90 / 90 / 85 / 125 / 90 / 100
Type:

Abilities: Pressure | HA: Static
Aditional moves: N/A
Sample Set:
Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Static / Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 244 Def / 16 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Tera Type: Steel
Bold Nature
- Hurricane
- Volt Switch
- Thunder Wave
- Roost

Zapdos gains a stellar Electric / Flying / Steel defensive typing allowing it to be a potential check to a wide variety of threats, particularly threatening the likes of Donphan and Trevenant. Its typing has many useful resists and a excellent Ground immunity, with only little one weakness in Fire, making it hard to kill Zapdos.

:sv/Rhyperior:
Pokémon: Rhyperior

Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

Rhyperior changes from a Physically defensive monster to a fast Special attacking threat. With a solid Speed stat and multiple coverage moves in its tool kit, it should prove to be a solid offensive presence.

Pokémon: Forretress (Reuniclus)
OM of Origin: Frantic Fusions
Stats: 75/106/158/91/81/47

Forretress @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Steel Beam
- Spikes
- Volt Switch

Bug/Steel is always a solid typing. With access to Rapid Spin, Volt Switch, and a bunch of other utility moves (besides the raw potential power of MGLO Steel Beam) this Pokemon can prove to be a very versatile option for teams to use.

Pokémon: Dipplin (Rillaboom)

Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Leech Seed
- Body Press
- Dragon Pulse
- Giga Drain

Rillaboom (Dipplin) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Grassy Surge
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Rillaboom (Dipplin) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Grassy Surge
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dragon Pulse
- Boomburst
- Earth Power
- Leaf Storm

Dipplin is a bulky Pokemon with an underwhelming typing. By evolving it into Rillaboom, not only does it get a stat total close to that of pseudo-legendaries, but it also significantly improves its movepool with moves like Leech Seed and Body Press. This stat spread would incline you to prefer Rillaboom's physical moves, like Grassy Glide and Knock Off, but the Special Attack is high enough to take advantage of other moves, such as Boomburst. This should be a unique inclusion that still works well thanks to the added longevity of Grassy Terrain provided to teams.

I hope some day we will be able to add Pokemon using Bad n' Boosted as well.

Abilities: Illusion

Sample Sets:

Misdreavus @ Heavy Duty Boots

IVs: 0 Atk
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast

Misdreavus @ Choice Specs
Ability: Illusion
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Dazzling Gleam/Night Daze
- Trick/Night Daze/Dazzling Gleam/Coverage

Really fun mon that I had a blast using in Cross Evo once upon a time. Illusion can give a lot of opportunity to cheese out free Nasty Plots and immediately become a threat, or you can run Specs with four attacks or three attacks + trick to make the most immediate advantage of the free turns it generates. A Ghost-type is also a good user of Illusion as it can pair well with types weak to Fighting, and Zoroark grants our Ghost-type attacker access to Fighting coverage (it definitely won't miss). Dazzling Gleam can hit Dark types at better accuracy but loses SE on Normal types. Not a lot of mons in just the first slate benefit from this specifically, but a very large portion of mons subbed this slate do, such as Porygon2, Iron Thorns, Roaring Moon, Ogerpon-Cornerstone, Arboliva, and Rhyperior. Air Balloon sets instead of Heavy Duty Boots can also aid Numel from last slate, and from this slate help Iron Thorns and Rhyperior even more, as well as now additionally Raikou, Tinkaton, Tauros-Paldea-Blaze, and Skuntank.

Also because it's a gen 2 mon it has like all the random coverage you could ask for (besides ice beam, sad!), so that alone adds a ton of future potential synergies with all the niche interactions and pairings that opens up.

Swampert is something that can really help the meta, with its defensive presence and pivot abilities its a great scout into many special attackers, it can also be a good hit taker and a good pairing with smth like flipped dragapult, or venusaurite donphan

And Fluffy, Sword of Ruin, Magic Guard...
Justification: Offensive mon that can soft check Trevenant and well... do Roaring Moon stuff what can I say.
I think Roaring Moon is too strong. Nothing rn checks it, nothing in this slate checks it, and how centralizing what essentially is the defacto best Pokémon in one of the strongest metagames around. Mainly because its impossible to prep for because all of it's sets demand different counterplay. AV Regen and Banded SoR needs different answers, and stuff like Fluffy and classic DD sets annoy checks. It honestly is too strong and I think the metagame would need sufficent development before it can be sorted. Until then, this Pokémon is vetoed.

Sure let's give this a shot.

Steel/Poison is a solid defensive typing that Revavroom uses well, but Steel/Flying is also superb. Taking advantage of the tools in its kit to change a Ground weakness to an immunity, it is an offensive Pokemon that works well.

:revavroom: This is also a Pokémon that imo is too strong to be let in. Shift Gear cranks this Pokémon up to levels the metagame simply isn't really ready to handle right now. Unlike RMoon, I do think this Pokémon is easier to check in a vacuum, so I would like for you to wait like 2 more slates, than bring this back to see if it can fit in. And just to note (this technically goes for R-Moon too), this being subbed again wouldn't voint as a resub since it never went to vote in the first place. But yes, this has to be vetoed.

:forretress: and :dipplin: Not a comment on the mon itself, but id personally rather the Sample sets being provided be ones that people can or would actually use in the metagame. So like, Fore is probably gonna be a physdef Spike setter, or an AV set is gonna focus on the actual SpD stat so it can check what it needs to. Also, Dipplin is gonna be either a Rillaboom clone or a Specs machine, I just do not see that set subbed as viable, esp seeing that alot of the actual utility moves it learns aren't listed. So I'd request that is addressed.

Just requesting the Mega stats be listed here, since that is what will be what is the norm for the mon.

Honestly, everything else seems very good so far. I think this round promises to expand tge metagame heavily, and start to standardize what we will be doing for the future. 48 Hours to fix any vetoes or comments, you can ofc add Pokémon during this point.

The sole veto that wasn't fixed (AAA Roaring Moon) has been noted so its vetoed, so now we will commence voting! Vote for your 6 favorite submissions, order does not matter. You have up to 2 self votes allowed. Voting is open for 48 hours, the top 5 highest votes (and any ties) will be added to the Hall of Fame. Have fun and good luck!

Skuntank @ Black Sludge
Ability: Aftermath
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Haze
- Flamethrower / Super Fang
- Toxic Spikes / Taunt / Roar

Skuntank has excellent bulk for an offensive mon and potential defensive pivot, allowing it to function as an excellent gluemon throughout the metagame. 143/87/81 bulk is actually excellent, making it pretty hard to take down, but this is balamced by its lack of recovery. Stuntank serves as a solid check to Dragapult and especially a check to Trevenant.

:ss/zapdos:
Pokémon: Zapdos
OM of Origin: Bonus Type
Stats: 90 / 90 / 85 / 125 / 90 / 100

Ability: Static / Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 244 Def / 16 Spe

Bold Nature

You can discuss the winners and how they impact the blossoming metagame, but since the delay happened, we are hopping straight into our new slate! Take stock of what is big, what isn't. What roles are starting to be fleshed out and what roles are lacking in our metagame, and take charge to fill them out! Notably our physical walls are low, and alot of very strong physical Attackers were just added.

Slate 3: Fortify Your Defenses!

Submissions last for 1 week. Have fun and good luck!
