I expected PT's voice to be something similar to Ash's so I'm not angry about PT's voice.

Fox's voice sounds closer to his N64 voice than "MISHION COMPLEET", but Falco's Brooklyn accent is just weird.

Pit's voice is dumb. My friend was thinking about how cool he was, but I bet he's going to think twice about it now.

Metaknight's voice is weird and unfitting too. I expected him to be a person that didn't really talk at all, but just say something like "Hmph". Instead he sounds like a Latino Darth Vador.

Sonic sounds like Sonic. I hear many people wine about the new voice actor, but I think they over-exaggerate how bad he is.

I was hoping that Marth would be translated to English this time. Now it's going to be weird for him to be able to communicate with other characters in SSE. What's weirder is that Ike even speaks English.
 
Ike speaks english because there is a game (two games?) with ike in it, released in the US. Marth's game/s has/have never been outside of japan, so he doesn't "have" an English voice.

There are no conversations in SSE, so that's no problem.
 
Ike is in FE9 and FE10, also I think everyone is really overreacting to the VAs(mainly PT), its not like your going to hear it that often and when you do its not going to be the only sound on the screen, so don't worry about it.
 
I'm glad Marth didn't get an English VA. He would sound absolutely horrible if he does, as the Japanese thingy is what made himn unique in SSBM and now it's even more unique in Brawl as there's no Roy to speak Japanese as well

Pit sounds...his Japanese voice is better. His English voice is kinda garbled up. Yes I know it makes sense but still.

Meta Knight sounds pretty nice...I guess

Augh, even I think PT's voice is bad and I'm usually incredibly lenient with voice actors. At least I think everyone else sounds fine.

And I agree with Jibaku, I'm INCREDIBLY glad that Marth didn't get an English VA. Between him not speaking English in Melee and it seeming as though they deliberately made Marth LOOK a bit Japanese in Brawl, it makes sense to me.

Snake's codec conversations are awesome, particularly the one about Link. I can't wait to hear more.

Has anyone heard anything about Lucario's US-version's voice? Is it still in Japanese, did he get an English voice, or did they do what they did to Mewtwo in Melee and got rid of all his speaking lines?
 
I agree with keeping Marth's voice japanese, but christ I wish they kept some of the other's voices japanese too (I'm looking at you PT).

Hustino, where'd you find Link's codec conversation?
 
They sound better in Japanese because I can't understand their corny ass lines that way. Pokemon Trainer's voice makes me hurt. Even Ash (from before the changed actors) would have been better. I played Charizard in the English game yesterday and I don't remember him talking so hopefully it's fine. I only had one match though. And it was at a retail event with a lot of people in the room so maybe I didn't hear it x.x
 
man i can't believe none of you are realizing how badass IKE's voice is.
I was afraid that for someone who's supposed to kick a huge amount of ass that he'd end up sounding pretty damn gay.

Snake's codec conversations are funny, but i haven't seen any more good one-liners than. "Otacon, i got a big Gorilla with a tie here!'

As a falco main, i'm glad he HAS a voice, instead of some constipated karate-king's MISSION COMPREEEEEEEEEEEETE

Fox's is one i actually like, but i'll always miss the obnoxious way he said COM OHN!

Metaknight's is pretty badass, and i can't say anything about pit's that hasn't been said.
 
Firestorm, didn't they change VA's like 20 times for Ash? @-@

obligatory complaint about mission complete.

and yeah the snake convos are funny but it's been known for a while that his english VA sucks compared to his japanese one.
 
The only time Ash's voice was good from what I've seen was during the Hoenn League and in Kanto, everything else just failed.

Sonic is how I expected, which is great, because we knew ahead of time from the short movie.

Marth=A good idea for still being in Japanese

I don't know enough about Snake to know one way or another.
 
I sort of expected PT's voice to be horrible, but I didn't think it was going to be this bad. It hurts my ears just to listen >.>. I thought Sonic was going to be bad as well, but it isn't that bad. It's actually a pretty ok voice. I'm interested in Wolf, ZSS, and Lucario voices actors now. Hopefully they use Lucario's voice from the 8th pokemon movie. He sounded so badass in that movie.
 
At least we know one thing, they can't mess up Samus. Jennifer Hale was the voice actor for Samus in the Prime series, so they can't not use her for it, and although it was merely grunts and others things, I don't think she could mess it up.
 
Those certainly beat the alternate color trophies in SSBM. All of them are just fantastic. What I would pay for for some little models of those trohpies...
 
Is there a certain thread that was made specifically for the discussion of Gamestop tourneys? Or should we just discuss that here?
 
Holy fuck! Those final smash trophies are amazing, my favourite was Samus'. Looking to making stupid slapstick scenes with them!
Falco's is so badass too though, as well as Ike and Zamus's.
