_____Xiahou Yuan points out that Yue Jin is strangely tall and red for your average Chinese man. "What you say is exactly what I think" Cao Cao remarks. Zhang He and Bian Xi quickly grab their target, revealing him to be none other than Guan Yu. On Xiahou Yuan's orders, men line up to shoot poison arrows at Guan Yu. He never stops barking insults, referring to them as so many clay fowls and mud dogs, but after three volleys of arrows the man finally dies. Xiahou Dun calls for his decapitation, and to send the head to Shu Han as a warning, but Cao Cao stops him and demands that the body be buried honorably.

You are Guan Yu.

Born into a family of scholars, you fled after killing a local bully. When Liu Bei raised a militia to fight the Yellow Scarves, you swore an oath of brotherhood to him. While you and your brothers were looked down on for your low social status, you quickly gained fame for slaying Hua Xiong during the campaign against Dong Zhuo. Leader of the Five Tiger Generals, you were the most respected and feared man in all of China, leading Eastern Wu to break their alliance with Shu Han and team up with Cao Wei to kill you. Though you died tragically, history has not been unkind to you. You are revered as the Chinese God of War, and several eastern religions rushed to claim your soul, making you one of the most worshipped historical figures in the world.

Your death directly led to the downfall of Shu Han. Wielding the respect you universally command, at night you can PM vonFiedler with “Night X - Super Martyr”. All night actions directed at any of your teammates will instead be directed at you. You cannot do this two nights in a row.

During a siege on Fan Castle, you were wounded by poison arrows. The famed physician Hua Tuo had to treat you without anesthesia. Despite having your bones scraped, you played Go and drank tea without flinching. The first time you are targeted with a night kill, you will shrug it off.

Even in death, you were still feared among your enemies. Myth has it you haunted several to death, but even if this only a legend, Cao Cao’s irrational fear in his later years led to his death from a brain tumor. While dead, you may talk as if you were alive.

_____The men of Cao Wei held a grand funeral for Guan Yu. They marched away from the capitol at Xuchang, all the way to Guan Yu's home in Xie. A small temple was constructed, and one man at a time came to mourn the bravest warrior of the time. Xiahou Yuan went to pay his respects last, but as stepped into the temple there was a ruckus stirring. Zhao Yun appeared behind the generals of Cao Wei, cutting through them. He charged into the temple, demanding the body of Guan Yu. When he saw Xiahou Yuan, he vowed to take revenge. However, he was pierced from behind by a large halberd, held by a monster of a man. "I am the true hero of the three kingdoms, not Guan Yu!" the man yelled, as Xiahou Yuan swooned. As people rushed in to save Xiahou Yuan, Zhao Yun's killer had already disappeared.

You are Zhao Yun.

You were once a follower of Gongsun Zan, who Liu Bei had once studied from. Meeting Liu Bei many years later, you found him to be more just and righteous than Gongsun Zan, so you left and joined Liu Bei. You were one of Shu Han’s most talented and long lived generals, and you always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. This earned you a spot in the prestigious Five Tiger Generals, as well as an Andy Lau movie and the position as poster boy for a mediocre series of video games.

During the battle of Chang Ban, you rushed behind enemy lines killing slaying several generals to rescue Liu Bei’s infant sun. Once per game at night, you may PM vonFiedler “Night X - Revive USER”. If USER had died the previous night or day, they will be brought back to life.

You are allied with Shu Han. You win if your faction is the last one standing.

_____Cao Cao could not afford to leave Xuchang, but he could not go unprotected. He ordered Cai Mao to halt any enemy advance with his fleet. For the rest of the night, he drank tea and wrote poetry in honor of Guan Yu. He looked out into the night sky, and hummed his poetry while staring into the moon. Halfway through, he glanced downwards and spit out his tea. The fleet had not yet departed! Cai Mao was missing. Before he could call for aide, he was hit on the back of the head. He was found dead in the morning.

You are Cao Cao.

Better to let down the world, than to be let down by the world. After the coalition against Dong Zhuo expelled him from Luoyang, you were successful in securing the Emperor and a position as Chancellor. You had a massive head start over Liu Bei and Sun Quan, and you used that time to unify the northern plains under your control. When Yuan Shao outnumbered you five to one at Guandu, your superior tactics and ability to listen to advice gave you the victory. Had Shu Han and Eastern Wu not allied against you, you would have controlled all of China. However, you do have a reasonable legacy. “Speak of the devil” is phrase that in English originates back to the middle ages, but in China they said “Speak of Cao Cao” first.

Though you were a cruel tyrant, you were a tactical genius. When you vote, your vote counts as two votes.

Though you respected advice, you had no tolerance for those who spoke against you. At night, you can PM vonFiedler with “Night X - Silence USER”. Until the end of the next night, USER may not post or they will be godkilled. Persuade will ignore the godkill however.

You are allied with Cao Wei. You win if your faction is the last one standing.

_____When they found out about their leader, there was much chaos in the ranks of Cao Wei. So much so they barely even noticed that Li Dian was alive once again. After much fuss, they quickly elected Sima Yi, as a provisional leader in the field, as he was their greatest military mind.

You helped Sun Ce pacify Yangzhou, and defeat his father Sun Jian’s nemeses Huang Zu and Liu Biao. You were just as instrumental as Zhuge Liang in the battle of Red Wall, if not more so, but your jealousy and repeated attempts at eliminating your rival led to your death.

Even before the battle of Red Wall was over, you had attempted to kill Zhuge Liang several times. Twice during the game, you may PM vonFiedler with “Day/Night X - Break Alliance FACTION”. FACTION’s alliance will cease to function, and they may not remake the same alliance on the following night.

_____Sima Yi calls out for a forced march on Xuchang, and every man picks up his weapon and hurries towards their capital. Zhou Yu attempts to fight his way out of the palace, but is checked by guards at every turn. From Cao Cao's chambers, he sees the army returning to Xuchang and knows there is no longer any escape. He pulls out a dagger and slices his own throat, preventing the humiliation of a public execution. Word goes out around the middle kingdom when his body is found, and in Jianye Sun Ren takes her brother's throne.
