Welcome to the Second SoloMods Premier League! This thread is for the signups for those who wish to manage in the tour. The winning team of this team tour will each get discord nitro or a $10 steam credit prize, while the runner ups will get a discord nitro basic or a $5 steam credit prize.

There will be 4-8 teams for this tournament depending on signups
When signing up, you must have an assistant manager by or before the deadline. You may purchase yourselves, the Manager selfbuy prices will be determined by the community and the host team, starting at 5k and to a maximum of 15k.


This year's formats are:
  • Do Not Use
  • Scootopia V2
  • Fusion Evolution VGC Regulation B
  • CommunityUsed2
  • Clubmons: Requiem
  • Modern Gen 2
  • Modern Gen 4
  • Balanced Createmons

Managers will be chosen based on activity in Solomods / Pet Mods, Competitive Experience and whether they are positive forces in the community.

Manager Signups will be up until next Wednesday, the 15th of January.
 
COMPETITIVE COMFEYS with be7 as my comanager

Both of us have manager experience with me being an assistant on PMPL2 and managing three consecutive editions on PTPL, while be7 has been a comanager for PTPL and also captained an alternative brazil team tour. That aside I play genshin impact and be7 was 2nd place for a mg1 tournament :sphearical:

Team Name: Brexit Bibarels
Assistant Manager: Jawabert (if ykyk)
This will be my first time managing, but Jawabarat has had previous management experience such as coming 3rd in BDSPPL III and shadowmanaging UK for ZUWC and UUWC. I had the best record amongst the finalists "Slugma Slugmas" representing Do Not Use, as well as having previous experiences in Scootopia. We will strive to be active throughout the tour and we're confident in our ability to create a fun and competitive environment!

Nog: You're still looking to replace qsns, you're just saying it another way. We can't do it. but what we can do, is replace them in the aggregate. qsns had 5 wins, Runo had 5 wins, and gekokeso had 4 wins. add that up and you get 14 wins. what we're looking for, is three players who add up to 14 wins. So here's who we want first. Orangesodapop.
Jump: Nog, if I may, he's had his problem's in MG1, not to mention his problem's outside of MG1. There's the stuff with the weed, he's at strip joints. This guy could start the year with an agent and end up with a parole officer.
Nog: Well all we're looking at is his win total and Orangesodapop wins alot for a guy who only cost 10k last year. The next player is R8.
Jump: R8? Ten years ago they were a big name. They're really going to help with building at the beginning of the tournament, but by Week 4 they're not going to be able to get out of bed in the morning to play their games. They're 36! They're a misplay liability, and I question whether the building is still there. Zubats are so pissed at their decline that they're willing to let us have them for 16k!
Nog: That's good, it mean's they're cheap.
Jump: They're a fossil. With all due respect, bringing these two guys aboard is like putting bubble gum on a flat tire.
Nog: Final guy. Lialiabeast.
Jump: Who?
Nog: Exactly, sounds like a Jubilife Jinx already.
Jumpheart: Let me understand this. You want a guy who's been cut from half the premier league teams on smogon due to their inability to build?
Nog: He can't build and he can't click, but what can he do?

Jump: These three players, by your own admission, are defective in one way or another.
Nog: Yeah.
Jump: You want to replace qsns with not one, but three defective players?
Nog: You got it.
Jump: I've been busting my ass off the last six and a half weeks to make this a better team-
Nog: It's not a discussion.
Jump: Nog if I may. I understand what you're saying about their winrates, but there's something you're forgetting. None of them plays MG2.
Nog: We're going to have to teach one.

Plague and me are back another year to take over Washed Wishiwashis

Plague managed BDSPPL and won as manager, made it till semis of Solomods PL last year, and also got to semis of PTPL
On the other hand, I managed tours like NDWC, SMPL, and other discord PLs and WCs like BTWC and ISPL and won it.
We promise to provide a healthy environment to the team. This year we r looking forward to winning the tournament.

Me and Uta The Clown would like to take on a new frontier and become managers of SoloMons Premier League as the Killer Quagsires.

I have managed in tours such as SDTT, DPL, NDFL, Doubles Derby, NDBD, OUFL, and other minor tours to varying levels of success, and have recently have made it to playoffs in HGPL with me and Uta managing. Me and Uta thrive off of interesting metagames and helping out our team in making teams, so we feel that we’ll be perfect to manage together. Uta has also played a good chunk of these tiers as well, so there is some good experience in our managing duo. Like I said earlier we have had a good chunk of success in our time of managing and have also been contributing members in all of our teams in the tours we’ve played, so we don’t see what’ll change here.
