Hello fellow Tournament Player.

Are you frustrated by a recent tournament result? Despite long coping sessions on Discord, do you also hate getting constant visual reminders of your failures in the form of trophies when you browse the Smogon Forums? Are you one of those people who doesn't want to see that green sparkle on false's profile after reading his shout-out post?

Well, you're in luck, because I have the solution for you! You too will be able to rewrite history once you've read this post.

While there may be multiple solution to this problem, the one I'm proposing uses the extension uBlock, which I would recommend anyway as an amazing adblocker with a great filtering option, which we'll use to its fullest potential here.

Once the extension, is installed, load a webpage where you can see the trophy you wish to snap out of existence. For example, the most recent SCL.

What you will do next is click on the extension logo, then the filter button. Once it's selected, you will pick the trophy you want to remove from your eyes. Here is a gif that shows the process:

NaUzyEX.gif

Once that is done, a window will open on the bottom right. All you have to do is click on "Create".

And that's it! Look at the result:

Enjoy your new safe space, because no, this tournament actually didn't happen and there is nothing to show for it.

(this works for every trophy, however it will erase the trophy as a whole, so for example, I can't erase ABR's Classic Trophy without erasing mine)

Two years ago, after winning SCL 2, I thought that anything I did afterwards wouldn't feel the same and that it would be a "bonus" for my main objective, which was to win an official team tournament. Barely qualifying into playoffs at 9 points and -6 BD into defeating both 15 point teams in playoffs as underdogs was an insane feeling. After grinding the game for several years, losing two finals tiebreaks in SPL 11 and Snake 4, and managing two low-placing SPLs, the feeling of finally winning as a manager was unparalleled to any other experience I've had in any video game.

Then, I went straight into managing SPL 14 with my longtime friend Tamahome who was instrumental in my development as a player and brought me into the tournaments scene. The idea of continuing the momentum from SCL and aiming to finally qualify for playoffs in SPL had me filled with confidence despite my circumstances, which were comprised of tough times irl and unidentified burnout from SCL 2. The draft happened, and it totally didn't go to plan and I lost composure during the auction; needless to say, the season didn't go well. On top of that, an incident happened that caused me to be indefinitely manager banned, which was a deserved punishment for the way I was acting and the inconvenience I caused others. I thought that would be the way I went out, and I felt a lot of guilt for the way I managed both inside and outside the team.

Early in the year, I appealed my manager ban, taking full responsibility for what happened, accepting the outcome, and apologizing to those involved. This wasn't necessarily because I planned on managing again, but I wanted to clear my conscience and put this situation behind me. It turned out that the TD team saw my appeal as genuine and made the decision to unban me. Halfway through the year, shortly before my unban, Luthier asked me, in Luthier fashion, if I would give the Dynamos one last go, stating that he couldn't manage anymore after this year. Realizing that my ability to commit time to manage was limited with irl responsibilities and commitments only increasing, I said fuck it, let's try it and see how this goes.

Planning starts and we aim to recreate the SCL 2 magic, reuniting our longtime friends bea and BIHI to go for our supposed last run. The draft mostly goes to plan, and it ends up being a nice mix of people we've teamed with before, notably including Kate from SCL 2 and Ren-chon as well to vibe with us and help out NU a bit. The first 4 weeks of the tournament are chaotic and things aren't really clicking. Bea isn't having his typical Pokemon experience, our lineup is all over the place, we showed some potential but had a lot of bad games and a lot of personalities are clashing. After week 4, at our rock bottom getting smashed by the Islanders, the season honestly felt really dire to me and probably others as well. While we were pacing at an average rate -- 4 points in 4 weeks -- it seemed very difficult to salvage our environment and our team's situation. It felt like we were lacking support, cohesiveness, and consistent gameplay. At this point, Roro drops a speech to candidly assess how we're doing as a team and it begins like this:

"first of all, we're not bad, but we're also not amazing, the fact that we're doing ok and the fact that the season is in a state where we have cards to play makes me want to address most of u with some words and not just Say Nothing"

I'd describe this point as the beginning of our resurgence, as our team came together and started to collaborate on how to improve our situation. The team environment was improving, but we still had some issues and it was the first time we shifted things in our lineup. The tournament's future was unclear, but we were doing the best we could in our situation. Then, something crazy happened: the ban wave, which wiped out our 37k UU player and our UU sub in one fell swoop, giving us 6k to buy two new players. Seeing that Kenix is somehow not only undrafted, but also not even bought during mids by any of the other teams, I immediately start pushing hard for him, as he's someone I've wanted to team with for a while and imo he was really underrated as a player. After the bans, I post an announcement and this is a snippet of it to reveal where my headspace was at:
we don't know what will happen. this could hurt our season, be neutral, or benefit our season. but the important thing to know is that it hasn't sunk our season yet -- this tournament is still in our hands and we are still not pacing badly. if we can win this week and continue our momentum, we can make playoffs and we have the star power still to be competitive in tiebreaks and in the later stages. the raiders in spl 13 lost bea and won the tour anyway. the shoguns have lost who knows how many players and they're still high in the standings. mids picks have often popped off out of nowhere. we saw it last year with mada and two years ago with dahli. so i ask of you guys to take the season into your hands and still keep a positive attitude and do your best. many times we've thought our season was chalked (scl 2) and crazy shit happens. we won that tour against all odds, and we can still win this one.
I was still far from convinced that this would actually happen, however. I had optimism in Kenix doing well and we replaced spell with 691, who was a UU player who seemed really nice and pretty competent. Additionally, our doubles slot was 0-4, the week was 5-4, and the last game was Grandmas Cookin playing their first game this season against EternalSnowman, who had been hyped to oblivion and was 3-0 in dominant fashion. To my surprise, gma seemingly destroyed ESM in a game that looked not close at all. Watching gma play filled me with hype and confidence, as we just turned a winless slot around, and I had high hopes for the UU replacement. We were working the kinks out with Little Cup, and suddenly the team had a lot more enthusiasm and momentum was on our side.

The Terrors week is a bit messier, but we have some funny moments. Kenix debuts by lucking like crazy and dropping Carapinga in his UU game to take vengeance for PkeL's Dragon Tail miss; Niko plays one of the craziest games of Pokemon I've ever watched; Grandmas plays another clinical game and notches a second win, and Jyt has his second dominant PU game after reentering the lineup. We end up tying the week, but our standards are high and we're finally starting to gel as a team. After this week, we won every week the rest of the tournament, always by small margins. In week 7, we had to come back down 3-4 vs the Platoon to win the next three, clutched by Kenix, Roro, and lastly Jyt; in week 8, gma shows their clutch factor again to seal the week 6-4 vs the Shoguns, securing double digit points for the first time ever for me, and in week 9, BIHI brings us to our fifth win to qualify us for playoffs.

Rematching the Terrors in semifinals, I knew we had a challenging week ahead of us. We start off with PkeL getting a plot armor win vs Ewin in a similar fashion as Niko, eating the SD Valiant's Knock with Iron Moth, and notably Larry, our LC flex slot, ends up beating their 8-1 player. This sets the tone for us to grab a couple more wins, for Roro to get haxed and smash his keyboard, and for Jyt to clutch for us at 5-4 in an insane game that had the whole team united and losing their shit.

Finals vs the Machines was a whirlwind. Despite the week's result, they were our most dangerous opponents. Almost every game was down to the thinnest wire and we could have easily lost almost all of them. PkeL, Jyt, and Larry's games were extremely close and, imo, some of the best games we had in these tiers in the tournament. BIHI and Kenix finish the tournament with strong prep and airtight piloting and we're crowned the winners of SCL 4. We worked our asses off, especially in playoffs and finals, and I couldn't believe the outcome in the end. Machines, you guys were an awesome team. Very dangerous, full of specialists deeply immersed in their tiers. You guys embodied SCL's spirit and were strong opponents. ggs once again and congratulations for all your respective achievements.

This year's Dynamos were a group characterized by perseverance, grit, high motivation, hard work, and empathetic people who were extremely supportive of one another. I couldn't be more proud of our team and honored to lead such a talented group alongside Luthier once again. Winning this tournament again two years later with a completely different storyline is something I never could have imagined happening. It's crazy the amount of work people put in for pixels, but somehow we're bit by a bug that motivates many of us like crazy and fills us with pride and satisfaction after months of hard work and little to no tangible reward. But most importantly, the feeling of winning with my teammates who have been an integral part of the journey, whether that be some of my best friends on here, old teammates reunited, or new teammates, is what brought me back after it looked like I would never manage again.

If there's one thing that anyone can take from our season, it's the same thing yet again: even if your team is in a dire state, don't give up on your season until you're mathematically out. Official teamtours have so many bizarre circumstances that can make or break seasons and a lot of it feels random at times. As a manager, I've learned through experience that no matter how dire a season seemed, there are always things you can do to improve the situation. Two times now I've thought our season was done at some point and both times we've emerged as winners. Acting quickly and proactively to solve problems and being able to communicate with your players candidly is crucial to maintain trust between teammates and to help pivot your season's direction.

In SCL 2, I said there was "still quite a bit we learned that can be applied to future tournaments". I'd like to think I've taken those learnings, including from the "failed" SPLs, and gave everything I had to this tournament. Like two years ago, it still hasn't fully hit me that we won. I'm really appreciative of the hosts for running this tournament so well, the oversight team who gave me a second chance after getting manager banned, and everyone else who loves this hobby as much as I do and puts in the time and effort to make this tournament what it is. But most importantly, I'm thankful for everything that was the SCL 4 Dynamos. We've made a lot of memories together that I will cherish for a long time.

The New Faces to the Dynamos:

Fille Kaboom: The 6k LC core. I know regular season didn't go as you guys envisioned, but who cares? You guys were essential to our victory, both with your significant dedication to the team and carrying "LCarry" (read: Le Carry), who we know is useless outside the battlefield, to a 2-0 record in playoffs. Both of you had superstar attitudes throughout the tournament, always tried your best, and imo showed a lot of potential in your games. Fille, as you know I really like the way you play. You had some games where you couldn't play in the best conditions, but you also had some airtight games that showed your proficiency as a LC player. Kaboom, your presence was felt outside of LC too, in tiers like PU, and your debut game was looking amazing until the timer moment, which happens to the best of us. Was a huge pleasure getting to know both of you -- two very different people who were breaths of fresh air in the team chat -- enjoy the well-deserved trophy!

kingofmars: Funny to call you a new face, but ofc I had never interacted with you before this tournament. I know you were busy with irl and maybe VGC stuff as well. You definitely should have won your game vs Nails, and you had that incident week 1 where your team got leaked, but you still showed up every week when you were slotted in and transferred seamlessly into being a valuable support for gma. Thanks for the time you invested into our season and hope you enjoyed the experience!

Kenix: Carapinga. Was so stoked to finally team with you after seeing the opportunity. I was always a big fan of your gameplay, even remembering the Smogon Tour Playoffs you made. I've observed your transition into old gens over the years and was impressed by how seamlessly you were able to pick up RBY and go 6-3 in a very competitive pool. I had no doubt you would farm any low tier you were placed in. Unfortunately some external factors prevented us from getting you in the draft, but thankfully it worked out in the end. You lived up to your UU Farmer alt and destroyed pretty much everyone, only losing a meaningless game in week 9. Additionally, you had several clutch wins for us. It was poetic that you were the last win we needed to secure the trophy; wouldn't have chosen any other player to close the season. You're an awesome person to have around in a teamchat and it was never stressful to see your prep process as well as your gameplay. The only regret I could possibly have was not having the opportunity to team with you for longer...maybe next year? Really thrilled that we won a ring together.

691: You were a beast tbh. Your UU support was thorough, strong, and you immediately fit right into our team. Kenix ramped up super quickly and you not only played a tremendous part in that, but we relied on you a lot to ensure our UU prep was strong throughout the whole season. I'm sure if you got a chance to start UU, you would have done quite well. I'm glad you got a win in week 9 subbing into PU -- that secured our 13 point regular season run! Hope you get your chance for a full season in UU; you totally deserve it after this season.

spell: You got banned, but just wanted to say thanks for your dedication to the team and helping bea with UU builds. Not sure what your situation is re: returning to the community, so if you're unable to return and you're reading this, it was nice getting to know you better.

Former Dynamos:

Grandmas Cookin (SCL 1): Although doubles started out tougher for us, I always noticed you were giving precise commentary on games, putting in the work to be a great support for Gavin, and I know you had experience in previous SCLs. During the second half of the season, you were crucial for our playoffs qualification, going 4-1 in regular season including two clutch performances while our score was 5-4. You were one of my favorite players to watch in the entire tourmanent. Every game you won it looked like you destroyed your opponents in one-sided games, getting soul read after soul read. It was hype af honestly LOL. I think you underestimate yourself too -- you were amazing. Thanks for being a huge part of our team. It was really cool to bring you back to the Dynamos after 3 years and for you to win the tourmanent with us! I'm sure after your performance you'll have no issues starting in SCL if you'd like to play again.

INSULT (SCL 1): Man, we've teamed in so many tournaments it feels like. Back in SPL 11, there was no one I trusted to clutch more than you. One of the most humble guys on the site. This season was rough for you for many reasons; perhaps it's the most unfortunate season and undeserved record I've seen. You played and did way better than your record shows and had to deal with nonsense like getting your alts sniped on ladder at least twice. Luthier and I never lost faith and after seeing the matchup you would have had in finals I'm confident you would have pulled through for us. Either way, it's ironic that after carrying so many teams with insane records for years, this is the tournament you win LOL. I'm so happy to have won with you man. Your attitude and gameplay is exemplary and I have 0 regrets paying 26k for you. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Can't wait for our next tournament together.

Kate (SCL 2): After your insane performance in SCL 2, it was astounding to see you go undrafted in SCL 3. I'm usually not one to believe in snubs, but like, wtf was that LOL. Luthier and I were extremely confident that you would be an amazing purchase this tournament, independent of our biases, and as usual you took care of business and put up a top 2 performance in ubers; you probably tied for first if you bothered to play week 9 LOL. You had some of the funniest logs during the season, and your takes on Pokemon are always on point. One of my favorite teammates ever. Thrilled to win with you once again, even if you're "never on good teams" :cheemspat:

bbeeaa (SCL 1, SCL 2): Despite your ban, I have to acknowledge all that you did for this team and thank you once again. You were instrumental in our draft planning, provided us with several OU teams (and even RU somehow lol) that we fell back on later in the season, and you got some clutch wins yourself in UU during early weeks where we won 6-4. I have no regrets about buying you. Even just four weeks of teaming in what you'd describe as your worst tour by far, you still provided a lot of value to our team. Hoping you return to the community soon and that all is well.

BIHI (SCL 1, SCL 2, SCL 3): The only person who has been on all 4 editions of the Dynamos. A longtime friend. Even if we slightly butt heads sometimes and have significantly different views on the game, when we work together it's like magic. Despite being burned out from Pokemon after that big ADV tour and Classic, you still showed up for us every week, built almost all your own stuff, and got some huge wins for us. You always deliver when it matters most; that finals game was a masterclass. Also worth noting you were originally supposed to play NU, but we kind of just threw you into RU haphazardly. You took this unfair situation really well and did legit whatever the team needed. When I think of a true team player, you're the best example. Seriously man, thank you so much for always trusting me, for our amazing conversations, and for all the great pokemon experiences we've had together. You're still one of my GOATs, and your 4 team tournament trophies are a testament to how incredible you are. It's just so sick that we won together again. Luthier's real emotional crutch. Hope you had fun this tour man. Here's to hopefully more experiences together.

Other Friends:

Niko: What an incredible tournament you had bro. Out of all the amazing players on the team, you sit with the highest number of wins. You carried us every single week, and the two times you lost we lost 3-7 anyway, so it's almost as if none of your losses mattered and you were the closest we had to a 100% carry. Your ceiling is probably among the highest on the whole site, and it was really inspiring to see you find a balance & approach with the game that fit your style perfectly. Your teams and gameplay were so fuckin sick man. Some of your games, particularly the ones vs Mada and Ewin, are some of the best games I've ever seen in my life LOL. Felt so nice to win with you too after our experience together on the SPL 13 Scooters :itpat:. I never had any doubts. Thanks for winning this tournament for us.

Larry: LCarry (read: Le Carry). The original plan was to have you pilot PU with me supporting, but I knew that you had the skills to beat anyone in any tier if that didn't go well. Can't say your PU performance was the best it could have been :themadpat: but as we had to shift our lineup like crazy to deal with different circumstances, you flexed into several tiers and by the latter half of the season, you were dialed in and played some amazing Pokemon games. The OU game vs SoulWind and your LC games, swiftly defeating both the top performing mainers were extremely impressive and pivotal to our playoffs momentum. Not gonna lie, having to deal with your antics this season truly tested my limits; I know you've been working hard to break my patience and piss me off, but sadly you didn't quite reach that goal :thumbadpat:. This troll of yours (still to this day don't know if you were serious or not LOL) was the closest you got tho. You actually had a rougher start which surprises me given how dominant you were in the latter half, but then I remember when things started to turn around and when you got more active: when we had an oppotunity to fish for an activity win (right before you had to play SoulWind). In Larry fashion, you piped up at the thrill of the possible act win and locked in for the rest of the season. Simple as that. Congratulations on your strong season and glad we got to get another trophy for the sisters.

Jytcampbell: Somehow this was our first time teaming together despite being friends for several years now. It's pretty crazy that you almost went undrafted lol. We wanted you as another sub to fit into any tier in case we needed you, and very quickly we realized that we did. What we didn't realize, however, was that you would become the best and most clutch player on our team, winning matchup after matchup in dominant fashion when we needed you the most. Your semis game was the peak of our season. Your undefeated run in PU was also low key, but if anyone watches those games, they will see you outplaying everyone you faced with the most impressive Pokemon displays in the whole tournament. You've been a beast for years at this game, but I feel like this tournament you truly broke out as a top player. Working with you was amazing too. You challenged the teams I gave you, provided crucial feedback to help me fine tune my ideas, and set high standards for ourselves which really paid off in the end. I'm also quite certain if we went to tiebreak, we would have picked for you in the end, as it wouldn't have felt quite as right any other way. Thanks for carrying us and always coming through whenever we needed you. It was such an incredible experience to finally team and it feels so great to win this tournament with you; no one deserved it more after going under the radar for so long.

Pkel SweeTforU: One of my first friends on this website. The last thing I ever expected was to win a trophy with you, especially SCL at that. Anyone who had seen you play DPP before this tournament knew how incredible your gameplay was. Hearing you started to play OLT and build SV made me 100% certain that you would do really well in SCL. Your ideas are all original and difficult to expect/prepare for. Your gameplay is phenomenal at every instance. And you're one of my closest homies on here; I always knew you would dominate the tours scene if you ever decided to bother with it. And that you did. Your finals game in particular was one of the best games of Pokemon I've ever seen. You proceeded to click every move perfectly that got you out of one of the worst endgame scenarios I've seen in finals at that. 2-0 playoffs; even in a seemingly meaningless tour like DPP France vs The World, we picked you for tiebreak and I saw your clutch factor at work. Also worth mentioning you were super helpful for our whole OU core and a great team player. After being made fun of for years for drafting new 3k players and immediately starting them only for it to not work out, I admit that I was affected by that and it made me less certain of my ability to snuff out steals for a while. Despite that, I had 0 doubt that you wouldn't do well. Man, what a feeling it is to win this tournament with you after over 7 years of friendship. No one knew who you were before this tournament started, but now everyone knows how incredible you are. First try trophy aura too strong.

McMeghan:
Screen Shot 2024-11-25 at 11.49.43 AM.png

The season starting off with "McBusy" deciding to "fuck around and sign up for SCL" made me look like an idiot for dropping 20.5k on this cancer. Week 1 comes around and this guy has played 0 Pokemon games, sends some final gambit spam team with Infernape and Staraptor as we're getting smoked by the Gible, and I'm like, yeah fuck :themadpat:. Luthier of all people helps cook some terrain with Scarf Aerial Ace Breloom and all the sudden Roro won his game vs etern, who was projected to be the #1 NU this season. Maybe there was hope? The next week, Roro discovers that Naclstack and Ditto are in the tier, and that's when his season was saved. The next week, I posted a Naclstack Ditto team in the PU channel and got an immediate response from McBusy, showing his enthusiasm for the concept. He liked it so much that he spent weeks trying to use this stall in NU, including it as an option to load almost every single week. The NU mainers malded every time you played, and tbh I get it. Seeing you ruin this honest tier with ungodly fat or unhinged cheese would have been anger-inducing for me too if you didn't win every week for our team :thumbadpat:. After you thankfully "got the zard nut out of the way" in a week where we didn't need you to win, you continued to carry our run with our strongest regular season performance at 7-2, ended by a gift from god facing Limber Ditto + Gastrodon fat vs the rain that I begged you not to load :cheemspat:. I know you had some regrets about your semis game despite the bad luck, but thankfully the rest of the team carried you after you carried them, and I'm sure you would have won in finals if you had the chance to play. Getting hyped together once we finally made finals motivated me so much to make this win happen. We've teamed for several tournaments and you've become one of my closest friends on the website. We met by happenstance teaming on the legendary SPL 12 Bigs, clicked instantly, and that sealed it. Getting to meet you irl in 2022 and spend the weekend with you in London was also a peak experience. Looking forward to the future sisterhood meetup if we ever get off our asses and plan it... Seriously, I'm extremely grateful for our friendship. This shit's gonna last a lifetime bro. Winning a trophy with you isn't something I ever imagined happening, but we finally did it together and it's probably the greatest feeling I've had in Pokemon. Thanks for everything man. Glad we could motivate you and make you unhide the SCL trophy from your browser.

Luthier: My partner in crime. The biggest moron I've met on here, but also the smartest guy on the site. Talented at so many things with such an interesting life. We make a sick fucking duo man. This is the last time it'll ever be just the two of us managing and I know we will have very few if any opportunities in the future. Two SCL wins in two tries. We're the greatest SCL duo of all time and it's looking like that won't ever change. We worked our asses off man and we did it again. I can't believe it. Thanks for everything Baljeep, can't wait for the irl linkup with you know who.

As I've said numerous times, thank you to all of you guys for helping us with 0 obligation. Without y'all, we wouldn't be here.

CrashinBoomBang: The real day 1. Thanks for vibing with us once again. You light up any chat and you're the coolest guy ever. Forever a Dynamo in our hearts.
bhkg: You helped us a fuck ton dude. Tested with all our ou guys, provided teams, and even helped in uu as well. Chill ass guy. Thank you so much for all you did this season. Can't wait to see you play more tournaments.
FlamPoke: Thank you so much for all your help in RU and even helping me test in PU. Was a pleasure to get to know you this season. After playing you in some games, I'm confident you would do well in this tournament. It would be a crime if someone didn't purchase you next SCL. Glad you were part of the journey with us.
Frito: You were a huge help for Kate, and me as well since your help gave me more time to not worry about Ubers. Really enjoyed your presence and extremely appreciative of all you did for us with 0 obligation. Hoping to see you compete in future tours.
Rewer: Go team. Triangles Twixtry: thanks for vibing with us the whole season. Cool to get to know y'all better!
Separation: Thanks for chilling with us, recommending 691, and assisting in UU!
emma: We did it again. Thanks for rooting for us :cheemspat:
Always Edgy: Thanks for helping us all season in LC! You were awesome.
Ren-chon: Thanks for vibing with us once again and helping out Roro in NU. One of my favorite people to hang out with in a teamchat. Thanks for helping us recultivate the SCL 2 magic. Always a pleasure to reunite and catch up.

--- Playoffs ---

hellom Pais: You guys were such a huge help in OU and were crucial to some of our playoffs wins. I really enjoyed getting to know both of you and seeing you in action. Really impressive and chill guys. Would love the opportunity to team with both of you in the future. Thanks so much again!
Django: Thanks so much for helping Roro in NU and vibing with us! We really wanted you preseason and I'm still sad we didn't end up teaming, but there's always the future!
Feliburn: Thanks for the assistance in RU in finals! Your input helped us fine tune the finals team and you're a really cool guy to have around. You'll get your trophy soon enough if you keep playing. Definitely overdue for one.
Punny: Was cool to finally see your prep in action after watching you play tournaments for years now. Your approach to teambuilding is really interesting to me and you're clearly one of the best players on the site. Thanks for providing us with a skeleton for finals, which was crucial for our UU game.

fish anemometer MZ sufys: Thank you for all the tests! Y'all are awesome and made the PU community pleasant to participate in this season. I feel like all of you grew as players this season and have a bright future ahead in the tier if you keep participating. I definitely wouldn't have been as successful of a support without our collaborations.
Vulpix03: Thanks for helping me learn PU when I first started the tier. Would be cool to see you PU for a full season again someday.
Dave: One of my biggest supporters and long time friends. Thank you for always being there man. You're such a great person for this website and you were integral to making this SCL more exciting for everyone.
Hayburner: We're forever sealed by the three way prediction contest tie. Was fun armchairing the tournament together as always :cheemspat:
Tony: god tony chan. Thank you for rooting for us and your support! I'll always remember the chances you gave me in Snake 4 and SCL 1. This wouldn't have happened without you believing in me and I'll always be grateful for it.

Also wanted to give a special shoutout to mind gaming. You basically taught me SV and I wouldn't have ramped up nearly as quickly without your help. You were essential to our PU performance in playoffs and without you I don't think we would have won the tournament. Certified Pokemon genius and most inspiring player on the site. Was really great to become friends with you. Thanks for tolerating my insane messages. Glad we also kept the tradition of having won every SCL combined. Was a pleasure sir :handshake:

ggs again to all the other teams. Many thanks and much love to everyone.

I've been trying to think of what to say to start this post, but I don't know where to begin, other than to say that I'm happy to have won this tournament. I can't say this is what I had in mind when I signed up. I was coming out of a fairly long period of inactivity in terms of competition since SPL. During the month of August, while I was on vacation with some people from this very website, I felt that my interest in Pokémon was gradually returning, and I decided, somewhat on the spur of the moment, to sign up for the tournament. I did so by telling myself that I had to keep a good mindset, which was to have fun and without it becoming an obsession, as it had too often been the case in the past. At the time, I hadn't played any SV tier since the release of the DLC, so I had no idea what I wanted to play. After looking at the Viability Rankings of each tier, I chose NU as it seemed to be wher I would feel most comfortable.

I was surprised to see Excal put so much money on me at the auction, because even though we're close friends, he knows that I hadn't been invested in the game for several months at that point. Anyway, it was cool to be in a server with a few people I already knew, and playing for a friend. Before moving on to the shout-outs, which are of interest only to those involved, I'll try to talk about how I felt during the tournament.

I've been playing for a long time now, and I've had every kind of experience in this community. Having said that, I've mainly always been an OU player, whether it's the main gen or the older generations. Since SCL2, however, I have to admit that I get a real kick out of this tournament every year. I love getting into these low tiers, which are overflowing with options and are still uncharted territories compared to what I'm used to. What's more, every game has its share of surprises and originality. It's a real breath of fresh air for me to take part in this tournament, especially as I always love to see something new on this game.

I'm quite happy because, on the whole, I stuck to what I told myself when I signed up in the first place. I mainly played things I liked myself, even if that didn't reassure my teammates at the start of the season. I also avoided obsessing too much about the result and kept a good balance with my IRL, except perhaps in the playoffs when I was obsessed by the fact that victory was close.

The experience with the Dynamos was really cool because everyone was putting in a lot of effort to get ready for their games. There were a few eccentric personalities in the channel, but that's what I personally love to see, so I was all for it.

I'm also really pleased with my regular season. The tier fit me like a glove and I felt in my element. It allowed me to enjoy the tournament even more and assume a pseudo-leader role, which I think went down well with the team.

In the end, it's always a joy to win a team tour. We know that luck is a big factor given the nature of the game, so we have to savor it when it smiles upon us. Incidentally, I'd like to say GGs to the Machines for their fantastic run. You were impressive, and I must admit that we were luckier overall in the final, especially in the first two games, which gave us the momentum. Good luck to you in the next edition! With that, I'll move on to the individual shout-outs.

:falinks:Tony Star Garay oak It may seem odd to start with you, but without the SCL 2 experience, I would never have enjoyed this tournament the way I do now. What's more, the run we had two years ago will forever remain one of my favorite tournaments ever. My thoughts are with you.

:hoppip:Excal There's so much I could say here, but you already know most of it... I'm sincerely happy to have met you a few years ago, because we got along so well. It was great fun to play this tournament with you, both from a human and a competitive point of view. I'd known for a long time that we were on the same wavelength when it came to this game, and that was evident throughout the tournament when it came to working together, whether in our tiers or not. Your vision of the game, and especially of the building, is very advanced, and you probably played the biggest role in our victory. You can be proud of this tournament, and we'll never forget that we won one together! I hope I'll have the chance to see you again IRL so we can come back to this.

:infernape:Luthier It was a pleasure getting to know you and playing for you for the first time. I've found you to be very helpful in terms of prep, and you've clutched a few matches with top-notch recommendations, such as the Scarf Loom or Scarf Araquanid. I felt like you were intimidated towards me at the start of the tournament, but that soon changed. I think you've got a real talent for this game and often come up with some pretty clutch ideas. Keep it up and you'll succeed in Individuals too.

:ogerpon-wellspring:Jon Jon, you were great from start to finish. I already knew you were super good at this game, but you still surprised me with your level of play in this tournament, even though it was your first of that kind. On top of that, you were always active and you inspired our other players. Every one of your matches was exciting, and I'll never forget your last victory in particular. Not only did I discover a great player when Excal invited me to The Server, I also discovered a super fun person with whom I always have a good time. You exude a real positivity despite what can happen to you IRL. I hope to keep seeing you play, even if there's now a target on your back now!

:moltres:Niko You were truly amazing fra. I've always been a supporter of yours since our SPL together in the Scooters, and I'm glad Excal thought the same. On top of that, I always enjoy your chat presence because you're a genuine person and I appreciate your outspokenness. You've been busier with your IRL this year, but you've always done what's right for the team, and it's shown in both your results and the help you've given in OU.

:samurott-hisui:INSULT I know it wasn't your best tournament, but I'd like to say that despite the results, you always gave it your all. You never complained, you never became negative and you always supported your teammates, and I know it's not easy to do all that when the game isn't rewarding us individually. Thank you for all that! Keep your head up and look forward, every tournament is different and you clearly have the level and the right mindset to bounce back.

:talonflame:bbeeaa Twice we've teamed up, twice you've been banned after 4 weeks, twice we've ended up winning... Anyway, thank you so much for your presence again. You kept the chat active and helped where you could. It's rare to have people like you today who give their all for their team, leaving aside your personal jerks. I'm sure we'll be seeing about you here again.

:smeargle:spell Thank you for your help in UU and for your activity in the server. You have real artistic talents and I enjoyed discovering that as well as talking about cards/art with you. Take care of yourself in the future, and keep exploring your skills.

:okidogi:Kenix It's absolutely incredible that we were able to snatch you up when you should have gone to auction or Mids. You were by far the teammate who impressed me most with the Raiders in the last SPL, both in terms of your level and your preparation. I think that if you carry on like this, it's just impossible for you to have a bad tournament. On top of that, you're an excellent teammate who keeps his cool no matter what happens. You showed an excellent level and we wouldn't have got to the end without you. Capapinga

:chien-pao:691 Excellent discovery, I didn't know you at all before this tournament but you were the perfect support for Kenix in UU. I had absolute confidence in this slot between the two of you and I'm glad you were able to play a match as well. I think you're going to get opportunities to prove that you can go even further soon so grab your chance :)

:houndstone:Kate I'd heard you were as eccentric as they come, and I saw it for myself after 5 minutes on the server. What I didn't know was how good you are at the game. I've told you this several times, but I've always agreed with you in game discussions, and you've also been solid in each of your games. I thought Excal was messing things up a bit by putting more than 10k on you, but he clearly cooked there. I just want you to know that I love having personalities like yours in team chats, so don't change a thing.

:rattata:Larry If I'd known that by playing the Waifubot with you a few years ago, I'd meet someone with whom I'd play so many tournaments, but also with whom I'd talk so much afterwards. You're very... quirky to keep it PG but that's part of your charm (right) and it's huge that we were able to win this together, especially the season we met IRL no less. That said, I'd like to give a big cheers to the PU/LC support for putting up with a player who doesn't assist them whatsoever. LeCarry will have lived up to his name in any case.

:gengar:Grandmas For someone who didn't have many sheet games under their belt, I was very surprised by your level when you stepped in. You played with confidence and weren't afraid to pull triggers. You were instrumental in our qualification and I think that with what you've shown, you're going to be a guaranteed starter in the next SCL. Oh, and I really enjoyed meeting another TCG fan who knows what they're talking about :)

:amoonguss:kingofmars To be honest, I don't have much to say to you as you were probably very busy with your IRL and VGC which is your main interest, but thank you for your presence and the help you gave GMA when it was needed.

:buizel:Fille Another very active contributor to the chat's crazy vibes, and one who forced us to introduce rules in the general to avoid getting warned lol. In any case, like Insult, even if the results weren't always in your favor, you were a great teamplayer through your activity and support in LC when we put Kaboom and Larry. Thanks for that and for the vibes in the chat :)

:sandshrew-alola:Kaboom Honestly, same comment as Fille, but without the degen lol You're a SAINT for helping Larry like you did in playoff when he was useless. It's thanks to that kind of mentality that we went 2-0 in that tier when we didn't start out favored. I was also surprised to learn that you'd been on the scene for a long time already, and I hope you're happy to have a big result under your belt now.

:arceus:Jytcampbell There's so much to say here... I knew you by name, but if I'd known you were going to be the teammate who impressed me the most this tournament. In fact, you're one of the best teammates I've ever had. Every game was a masterclass. The matchup was never autopilot either, but you just played it perfectly. You gave quality feedback to the PU support when you had the equivalent of a book to read every day in your channel. The performance you showed at this tournament will honestly stay with me forever. Just the GOAT.

----HELPERS / OUTSIDE----
