[OVERVIEW]
One of the most common tanks in the metagame, Slowpoke has great Defense and HP stats that allow it to tank most physical moves in conjunction with a reliable recovery option in Slack Off and a great defensive ability in Regenerator. Alongside its defensive stats, Slowpoke also has access to a great defensive moveset with utility moves such as Thunder Wave and good attacking options such as Scald, and moderate Attack and Special Attack stats that allow it to hit decently hard. Slowpoke's defensive typing is also beneficial, giving it resistances to many common attacks. Slowpoke's great physical Defense makes it a consistent and solid check to Mudbray, as it can easily take Mudbray's moves and KO it with Scald. Slowpoke is also welcome on most defensive cores due to its ability to freely switch out when it pleases due to the healing provided by Regenerator. Unfortunately, Slowpoke is rather passive and is often used as setup bait for Pokemon it can't touch, such as Scraggy, and it also serves as a free switch in for Pokemon such as Snivy. The common move Knock Off is a big threat to Slowpoke due to its high dependency on its Eviolite. Common pivoting moves like Volt Switch and U-turn are also threatening towards Slowpoke because they both deal super effective damage and provide momentum for the opposing team, which can be detrimental late-game.

Moves
========

Slack Off is Slowpoke's most reliable recovery option and allows it to maintain its longevity. Scald is a powerful STAB move that can hit Fire-, Rock-, and Ground-types such as Ponyta, Onix, and Mudbray super effectively; it can also provide some utility by burning physical attackers to render them weak. Psychic is Slowpoke's secondary powerful STAB move, hitting common Poison- and Fighting-types like Mienfoo, Foongus, and Croagunk. Croagunk especially is an important target due to its ability to easily switch into Scald. Thunder Wave is an important utility move that Slowpoke has, and it can spread paralysis to cripple fast offensive Pokemon such as Abra; however, Slowpoke still cannot outspeed paralyzed 18 Speed Pokemon. Fire Blast is an alternative option as a powerful coverage move that hits Pawniard, Ferroseed, Alolan Sandshrew, Magnemite, and Snivy. Alternatively, Slowpoke can use Calm Mind on defensive cores or bulkier teams once Dark-types have been eliminated. It can set up to become more specially bulky and sweep opposing teams with powerful special attacks.

Set Details
========

Slowpoke's EV spread allows it to be as tanky as possible, enabling it to tank most physical and special attacks effectively. In addition, the HP EVs allow Slowpoke to reach 27 HP, which enables it to recover 9 HP when switching out instead of 8 HP. The remaining EVs are put into Slowpoke's Special Attack so it can retaliate with powerful moves after it tanks a hit. The main EV spread allows Slowpoke to take at least two Brave Birds from an unboosted Bulk Up Rufflet variant as well as 2HKO defensive Foongus and bulky Mienfoo with Psychic. Alternatively, the same EV spread can be run but with only 36 Special Attack and 76 Speed EVs, which allows Slowpoke to outspeed Foongus; however, the drop from 12 Special Attack to 11 worsens the damage rolls against 14 Special Defense Pokemon with Eviolite, meaning Slowpoke can't 2HKO Foongus with Psychic from full health anymore. A specially defensive EV spread of 116 HP / 76 Def / 116 SpA / 196 SpD can also be used, turning Slowpoke into a more specially defensive tank to better complement its already high base Defense; however, Slowpoke should never use this specially defensive EV spread if it decides to run Calm Mind because it can already boost its Special Defense with the move. In addition, the specially defensive EV spread cannot let Slowpoke check Mudbray like the main EV spread does, as Slowpoke might get 2HKOed from Mudbray's Earthquake after Stealth Rock damage. Eviolite is very important to Slowpoke, as it helps Slowpoke tank moves more efficiently. A Bold nature is the preferred nature because Slowpoke can gain more physical bulk to increase its physical tanking capabilities with no drawbacks; however, a Calm nature can also be used to increase Slowpoke's Special Defense to make it more specially bulky. Regenerator is very beneficial, as it allows Slowpoke to recover health while switching out, which it does often due to its defensive role.

Usage Tips
========

Slowpoke should be switched into Pokemon it can handle, tanking their hits and KOing them back. Slowpoke can also be sent out to force switches, although it should generally immediately switch out afterwards. Slowpoke also shouldn't be switched in and out randomly to just get its HP restored from Regenerator, as its checks are very common in the metagame, and if it switches in carelessly, it might take a super effective move such as Knock Off. Knock Off in general should be avoided, as it deals super effective damage and removes Slowpoke's important Eviolite, which hinders its bulk. Slowpoke can also spread paralysis once it switches in, potentially crippling fast offensive Pokemon. When Slowpoke reaches a low amount of HP, it should switch out to gain more HP and then switch into a Pokemon it can use Slack Off against so it can recover its HP fully. Slowpoke should avoid some mixed or special attackers, as its Special Defense is lacking compared to its Defense, meaning it might get KOed by powerful special attacks; it should still be able to switch into resisted special attacks, but should be wary in general. If Slowpoke is running Calm Mind, it should be kept healthy until late-game when most of its checks are defeated and it can set up on passive Pokemon or Pokemon whose attacks it resists and then clean the rest of the opposing team. Slowpoke can also consistently check hail teams, as it can take care of Slush Rush sweepers such as Alolan Sandshrew and hail setters such as Snover with Fire Blast.

Team Options
========

Grass-types make good teammates, as they can wall incoming Grass- and Electric-type attacks and provide good type synergy with Slowpoke, as Slowpoke can take care of the Fire- and Ice-type Pokemon Grass-types don't appreciate such as Ponyta and Alolan Sandshrew. Foongus and Ferroseed make great partners, and the latter can also set entry hazards to help Slowpoke take care of opposing Pokemon more easily. Slowpoke hates Knock Off, so Pokemon that don't mind Knock Off such as Sticky Hold users like Trubbish are great. Slowpoke can also wall Psychic-types for Trubbish, which in return can take of most Grass-types that don't have a secondary Poison typing. Pokemon that can check Grass-, Electric-, and Dark-type Pokemon are favorable. Pawniard deserves a mention here because it provides good type synergy with Slowpokeand appreciates Slowpoke's ability to spread paralysis. Vullaby also deserves a mention, as it can wall most Dark-types such as Scraggy and take care of Grass-types such as Foongus; it also provides nifty type synergy with Slowpoke, as the two form a nice core that can take on nearly everything except Electric-types. Fighting-type Pokemon such as Mienfoo can also be good teammates, as they can take care of Dark-types for Slowpoke, while Slowpoke can wall most Psychic-types and other checks. Mienfoo also forms a solid Regenerator core with Slowpoke and is a decent Knock Off absorber, especially if it runs Acrobatics.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Future Sight and Earthquake are options for Slowpoke's 4th moveslot, as the former does a ton of damage once it hits and the latter can deal with Electric-types; however, they are underwhelming because Future Sight gives the opponent a free turn, allowing them to either KO Slowpoke or switch to a Dark-type check, and Electric-types are generally faster than Slowpoke and can probably KO it before it can hit them with Earthquake. Slowpoke can also run a Curse set with physical attacks such as Zen Headbutt and Aqua Tail, since its Attack is higher than its Special Attack. Curse turns Slowpoke into a slow physical bulky sweeper that can tank moves and then hit pretty hard. Slowpoke can also set up and sweep with Trick Room because of its slow Speed stat; however, the limited duration of Trick Room is what causes it to become underwhelming.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Grass-type Pokemon such as Ferroseed, Foongus, and Snivy are main checks to Slowpoke due to their ability to hit Slowpoke's weaker Special Defense and wall most of Slowpoke's moves; however, they need to be wary of Fire Blast or Ice Beam. Foongus needs to be careful of Slowpoke's Psychic, but it can 2HKO Slowpoke with Giga Drain.

**Dark-types**: Dark-types such as Pawniard and Vullaby are a threat to Slowpoke, as they can wall most of Slowpoke's moves and easily KO it in return with powerful STAB attacks; they can also cripple Slowpoke's bulk with STAB Knock Off. However, Pawniard needs to be cautious of Fire Blast, and most Dark-types don't appreciate being hit with Thunder Wave or burned by Scald.

**Electric-types**: Electric-type Pokemon such as Chinchou and Magnemite can hit Slowpoke's weaker Special Defense with their STAB attacks and KO it. Chinchou especially can wall all of Slowpoke's moves, as it is part Water-type and gets healed by Thunder Wave; utility Chinchou can also use Heal Bell to cure status from Slowpoke's victims. Magnemite also deserves a mention due its ability to resist Slowpoke's Psychic and KO it with powerful STAB moves. Furthermore, Recycle Magnemite can easily switch into Slowpoke any time and force it out, although all Magnemite variants needs to watch out for Fire Blast.

**Knock Off**: Knock Off is a common move in the LC metagame, and Slowpoke does not appreciate it due to it doing a lot of super effective damage and removing Slowpoke's Eviolite, which is very important for its role as a tank. Common users include Mienfoo, Timburr, Pawniard, and Vullaby, and although the Fighting-types need to watch out for Psychic, Knock Off makes it harder for Slowpoke to switch into them.

[Overview]
it has more than adequate defense, it reaches 16 defense. i would change the wording and say above-average or whatever synonym of "good" you like
really emphasize that slowpoke is the best mudbray counter in the meta, since it takes only about a third from EQ and can recover with both slack off and regenerator
saying it's one of the best tanks in the metagame is a bit of a stretch, cut that part or emphasize its average-ness more
mention how slowpoke is rather passive. in the same vein, note that slowpoke is often times set-up bait for mons like scraggy or free switchins for mons like snivy
mention that slowpoke consistently checks hail throughout the game, as it beats alolan-shrew and all hail setters bar snover.

i changed the move order around since it's weird to have slack off just thrown in the middle
stabs are mandatory on slowpoke so i moved the slashes onto the thunder wave slot
ice beam doesnt hit much that either scald, psychic, or fire blast dont already hit so i removed it
calm mind is a great wincon for bulkier teams once dark types are removed. levi and i agreed it's around the same level as cm spritz in terms of effectiveness and overall usefulness, so i added it to the 4th slot as the final slash

Moves
========
mention that for t-wave slowpoke still won't be outspeeding mons with 18 or more speed since thunder wave only halves speed this gen
mention foongus for the poison types that psychic hits
for fire blast, remove mentions of foongus and spinarak since they are hit for more damage by psychic. also add mentions of pawniard, magnemite, and snivy as things that are hit by fire blast
add a description for calm mind

Set Details
========
say that a spread using 36 SpA and 76 Spe can be used over the main spread to outspeed foongus, but note that the drop from 12 spa to 11 spa lowers rolls versus 14 spd evio mons (timburr and foongus aren't 2hkod from full anymore, for example)
note that CM slowpoke should never use the alternative specially defensive spread.
also note that the specially defensive spread fails to counter mudbray-- there's around a 57% chance to be 2hko'd after rocks by Mudbray's EQ.
careful nature should be calm, since careful reduces special attack. also move the mention of the alternative nature next to the alternative spread it goes along with.

Usage Tips
========
"Slowpoke should be used as a switch-in against physical attackers that the former is capable of KOing" i'm not sure what you mean by this, maybe try rewording it.
"When Slowpoke is sent out, it can be also used to cripple the opposing Pokemon or common switch-ins to the former" again i'm not sure what you mean here by "the former"

Team Options
========
"Speaking of synergy, Slowpoke forms a great synergy with most Grass-types, as they can switch into opposing Grass-types and potentially force them out, while Slowpoke can deal with Grass-type checks for its teammate" be more specific with this statement, like add specific mons
fairy mons have alright with slowpoke, but not enough for them to be their own section. most bug attacks are non-stab uturns, and dark types will be covered in the thing that i'm going to suggest next.
you should add a section for knock off absorbers, since slowpoke is very reliant on its eviolite for checking what it wants to check.
for this section you only need to mention mons that support slowpoke nicely, not mons that slowpoke itself supports, so i'd remove the section about dark types.
also remove the final bullet point here since it's just a summary and not necessary. maybe when you write this analysis up, place it in the beginning.

Other Options
=============
remove mentions of z-crystals, trick, and yawn. they're not viable enough for OO
mention future sight and eq as other 4th moveslot options on the main set
you mentioned physical slowpoke, but you didn't mention the main reason to use it: curse. add a mention of curse when you're talking about the physical set
also, no need to mention porygon in the TR set. just say that in general TR is very underwhelming because of a lack of varied and good setters.

Checks and Counters
===================
remove the part about electric types switching into thunder wave. sure, it is true that they easily do that, but that's generally a very risky play. also, magnemite only resists one of slowpoke's stabs, not both. it takes neutral damage from scald. on the topic of magnemite, mention that recycle magnemite can reliably come in on slowpoke throughout the game and threaten it out
mention fighting types in the knock off section since they're the main abusers
toxic is not relevant at all in lc. remove this section

QC 1/3

[OVERVIEW]
  • Mention its access to recovery in Slack Off specifically when you mention its good defensive movepool.
  • Mention that Regenerator greatly increases Slowpoke's longevity, in stead of the vague 'benefits its role'.
  • Don't say Slowpoke resists most of Mudbray's moves, as it doesn't resist the most important and most powerful one: Earthquake. In stead, just mention that its good physical defense and super effective STAB allow it to easily take on Mudbray.
  • Mention access to STAB Scald, which potentially allows it to cripple physical attackers with a burn
  • Emphasize a weakness to Knock Off more, as removing Slowpoke's Eviolite makes it significantly less defensive and with it having a type weakness to Knock Off, it is very alluring to hit it with one.

Moves
========
  • Switch the order of description to match the order of moves in the set.
  • Mention Croagunk specifically in the targets for Psychic, as it is immune to Scald thanks to Dry Skin

Set Details
========
  • Add examples of attacks that the EV spread allows Slowpoke to survive (usually avoids 2HKO from Bulk Up Rufflet's Brave Bird, Corphish's Knock Off)
  • Similarly, add examples of offensive calcs (2HKO onto Foongus, as madoka mentioned, and OHKO onto offensive Mienfoo)
  • Timburr is still 2HKOed even with 36 SpA (36 SpA Slowpoke Psychic vs. 0 HP / 236+ SpD Eviolite Timburr: 12-14 (50 - 58.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO), so in stead, mention just Foongus.

Usage Tips
========
  • Mention that if Calm Mind is run, Slowpoke should be kept healthy until late game, where it can be brought out on a Pokemon it can set up on such as Spritzee or defensive Mudbray to clean up a weakened team.
Team Options
========
  • Give examples of Grass-type checks Slowpoke can deal with (Ponyta, Bulk Up Rufflet)
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • The reason Trick Room is underwhelming on Slowpoke is not that there are no good setters; after all, it is one itself. In stead, mention the very limited duration.
  • Mention Yawn to force switches
  • Mention a set with Choice Specs and Trick to cripple defensive Pokemon
Checks and Counters
===================
  • In all sections, give examples at the start of the section: Ferro, Foongus, and Snivy for Grass-types, Pawniard and Vullaby for Dark-types, Chinchou and Magnemite for Electric-types, and Mienfoo, Timburr, Pawniard, and Vullaby in Knock Off setters. For those Fighters, mention that it makes it harder for Slowpoke to switch into them.

Hey Conni, I have some comments on the overview. There are some great pieces of information in there, but there's also a fair amount of unnecessary fluff as well, mostly in the first half. Make sure the overview's focus stays on metagame context rather than generic statements about Slowpoke. A few of the sentences can be removed for the sake of brevity (and avoiding redundancy). For example, mentioning Scald is fine, but you don't need to have an extra sentence explaining that Scald is a good move. That stuff is better left for the Moves section. Another example:
As a tank, Slowpoke has moderate Attack and Special Attack stats allowing it to hit decently hard, however, its Speed is very slow.
You already establish earlier on in the overview that Slowpoke is a tank, and just because Slowpoke's low Speed is technically a flaw, it's not that important to mention that for a defensive mon. Flaws like Knock Off weakness, VoltTurn weakness, general passivity, etc are more important flaws to emphasize.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to message me on PS/Discord and I'd be happy to help. Otherwise give me a tag here when you're ready and I'll do the third check.

Some other quick things I noticed:
- Set name can be simplified to "Tank"
- Other Options: I'm going to agree with madoka on this, Choice Specs + Trick and Yawn don't need to be in here.

sparktrain thanks for the suggestions! I moved some parts to different sections as you suggested :)
Also yeah if you can qc check this, it would be great!

Sorry for the wait! Saw your tag and then I forgot to actually post.

Set Details
- It's probably worth mentioning the justification for 116 HP EVs (besides just tanking stuff better), which is that it hits a regen number (27 HP is enough to let Slowpoke heal 9 damage instead of 8 when it switches out)

Team Options
- Mention fighters here, particularly Mienfoo. You could perhaps tie it in with teammates to absorb Knock Off since it does so rather well. Also forms a regen core.

Looking good, QC 3/3

[OVERVIEW]
This lazy Pokemon actually makes quite a big splash in the metagame. (fluff) As one of the most common tanks in the metagame, Slowpoke has great physical Defense and an amazing HP stat that allows it to tank most physical moves in conjunction with a reliable recovery option in Slack Off. Along side Alongside its defensive stats, Slowpoke also has access to a great defensive moveset with suport moves such as Thunder Wave and good attacking options such as Scald. Slowpoke's preferred ability:(remove colon) Regenerator is very fitting to allows Slowpoke as it can to switch out often like most tanks do (I don't understand the purpose of this; Regenerator doesn't allow Slowpoke to switch out. You can just get rid of this and say "Slowpoke's ability Regenerator greatly increases its longevity...") and greatly increase its longevity,(AC) which is very important, especially with Slowpoke's role. Slowpoke's great physical Defense makes it a consistent and solid check to Mudbray,(AC) as it can easily take its moves and KO it with Scald. Slowpoke is also welcome on most defensive cores due to its ability to freely switch out when it pleases due to Regenerator (OK. Reword this to explain why it's beneficial for Slowpoke to switch out. Every Pokemon can switch out when it pleases to. You should say something along the lines of "...due to its ability to recover health when it switches out"). Unfortunately, Slowpoke is rather passive and is often used as setup bait for Pokemon it can't touch, such as Scraggy, and it also serves as a free switch-in switch in for Pokemon such as Snivy. Slowpoke's defensive typing is also beneficial, resisting many common attacks, however, (moved it up to where you talk about positives. You can put it where you want over there, but it was kind of weird over here) Knock Off remains a big threat to Slowpoke due to its high dependency on its Eviolite,(AC) which is an important asset to Slowpoke's bulk. However, Pawniard needs to be cautious of Fire Blast,(AC) and most Dark-types don't appreciate being hit with Thunder Wave or burned by Scald.

**Electric-types** Electric-type Pokemon such as Chinchou and Magnemite can KO Slowpoke with STAB special attacks that hit Slowpoke's weaker Special Defense. Chinchou,(RC) especially can wall all of Slowpoke's move moves,(AC) as the former it is part Water-type and it also gets healed by Thunder Wave; utility Chinchou can also use Heal Bell to cure Slowpoke's status spreading victims. Magnemite also deserves a mention due its ability to resist one of Slowpoke's STAB moves and can KO it with powerful STAB moves with its high SpA stat;(remove semicolon) furthermore Special Attack.(period) Furthermore, Recycle Magnemite can also easily switch into Slowpoke any time and force it out, although all Magnemite variants needs to watch out for Fire Blast.

**Knock Off** As mentioned above in the Dark-type section. Knock Off is a common move in the LC metagame used by Pokemon such as Mienfoo, Timburr, Pawniard, and Vullaby, and it is not appreciated by Slowpoke due to it doing a lot of super effective damage and crippling Slowpoke's bulk,(AC) which is very important in for Slowpoke's role as a tank. Fighting-type Pokemon are the main users of Knock Off, although some of them need to watch out for Psychic, but generally, since they mostly carry Knock Off, it is harder for Slowpoke to switch into them.

Slowpoke's defensive typing is also beneficial, resisting many common attacks. Slowpoke has moderate Attack and Special Attack stats,(AC) allowing it to hit decently hard. The common Common pivoting moves:(remove colon) like Volt Switch and U-turn are also threatening towards Slowpoke because they both deal super effective damage and provides provide momentum for the opposing team,(AC) which can be threatening late-game.

Slack Off is Slowpoke's most reliable recovery option which that allows Slowpoke it to maintain its longevity,(AC) as it can proceed to recover tanked attacks. Psychic is Slowpoke's secondary powerful STAB move,(AC) hitting Poison- and Fighting-types like Mienfoo,(AC) Foongus,(AC) and Croagunk,(AC) which are both common types in the metagame. Pokemon that fit in the aforementioned category are Mienfoo, Foongus and Croagunk. Croagunk especially is being an important target due to its capability to easily switch into Scald. Thunder Wave is another important utility move that Slowpoke has,(AC) and it can spread paralysis to cripple fast offensive Pokemon such as Abra,(RC);(add semicolon) however, the nerf to paralysis means that (no generational changes) Slowpoke cannot outspeed paralyzed base 18 Speed Pokemon. Fire Blast is an alternative option as a powerful coverage move that hits Pawniard, Ferroseed, Alolan Sandshrew, Magnemite, and Snivy. Slowpoke can use Calm Mind on defensive cores or bulkier teams once Dark-types have been eliminated.(period),(RC) it It can setup set up to become more specially bulky and sweep opposing teams with powerful special attacks.

Slowpokes Slowpoke's
current EV spread allows it to be as tanky as possible,(AC) as it gains has pretty high EV investment in its HP, Def Defense, and SpD stats Special Defense,(AC) allowing it to tank most physical and special attacks effectively.(period),(RC) in In addition,(AC) its HP evs allow it the HP EVs allow Slowpoke to reach 27HP 27 HP,(AC) which reaches the Regenerator counter for recovering enables Slowpoke to recover 9 HP when switching out,(RC) instead of 8 HP (The specifics of the Regenerator number doesn't matter as long as you just say what they do). The remaining EVs are put into Slowpoke's Special Attack so it can retaliate with powerful moves after it tanks a hit. The main EV spread allows Slowpoke to tank Brave Bird at least twice from an unboosted Bulk Up Rufflet variant,(RC) as well as 2HKO Pivot Defensive Foongus and Bulky Mienfoo with Psychic.(period), although Slowpoke gets 2HKOed by Giga Drain, and Slowpoke can 2HKO Bulky Mienfoo. (mention how Foongus 2HKOes Slowpoke in the C&C section) The remaining 116 SpA evs are put into Slowpoke's special attacks so it can retaliate with powerful moves after it tanks a hit. (moved it up) Alternatively, the same ev EV spread can be run but with only 36 SpA Special Attack and 76 Spe Speed EVs, this which allows Slowpoke to outspeed Foongus;(add semicolon),(RC) however, the drop from 12 SpA Special Attack to 11 SpA lowers the damage rolls against base 14 SpD Eviolite Special Defense Pokemon with Eviolite,(AC) meaning Foongus isn't 2HKOed by Psychic from full health anymore. Another alternative specially defensive EV spread of 116 HP / 76 Def / 116 SpA / 196 SpD can be used,(AC) as 116 HP / 76 Def / 116 SpA / 196 SpD evs can turn turning Slowpoke into a more specially defensive tank to make up for its already high base Defense,(RC);(add semicolon) however, Slowpoke should never use this specially defensive EV spread if it decides to run Calm Mind because it can already boost its Special Defense with the move.(period);(remove semicolon) in In addition, the specially defensive EV spread cannot check Mudbray like the main EV spread does,(AC) as it Slowpoke might get 2HKOed from Mudbray's Earthquake after Stealth Rock damage. The Eviolite is very important to Slowpoke,(AC) as it helps increase its bulk,(AC) which allows Slowpoke to tank moves more efficiently. The A Bold nature is the preferred nature as because (reduce redundancy with previous "as") Slowpoke can gain more physical bulk to increase its physical tanking capabilities with no drawbacks,(RC);(add semicolon) however, the a Calm nature can also be used to increase Slowpoke's special defense Special Defense to make it more specially bulky. Slowpoke should be switched into Pokemon it can tank and handle, meaning that it should be able to take a lot of hits from the Pokemon it switches into,(RC) and should have no difficulty KOing the these Pokemon unless it they switches out.(period),(RC) however,(RC) Slowpoke can also be sent out to force switches,(AC) although it should generally switch out after Slowpoke forces the opposing Pokemon out. Slowpoke also shouldn't be used (you mean switched?) randomly to just get its HP up restored from Regenerator, as its checks are very common in the metagame,(AC) and if it switches in randomly, it might get a super effective move such as Knock Off dealt to it,(AC) which can be a big hassle. Knock Off in general should be avoided,(AC) as it deals super effective damage and removes Slowpoke's important Eviolite, which maintains hinders (Knock Off hinders Slowpoke's bulk by removing Eviolite. There's no need to say that Eviolite helps its bulk here, as you mentioned it in Set Details, and right now, you're talking about Knock Off) its precious bulk. Slowpoke can also spread paralysis once it switches in, which would be unfortunate for fast offensive Pokemon. When Slowpoke reaches a low amount of HP, it should mostly switch out to gain more HP and then switch into a Pokemon it can use Slack Off against so it can recover its HP fully and consecutively. Slowpoke should avoid some mixed or special attackers,(AC) as its Special Defense is lacking compared to its physical Defense,(AC) and that it might get KOed by powerful special attacks;(add semicolon),(RC) but it should be able to switch into resisted special attacks, but it should be wary in general. If Calm Mind is run on Slowpoke, it should be kept healthy until late-game when most of its checks are defeated, and it can setup set up on passive Pokemon or Pokemon it resists and then clean the rest of the weakened opposing team. Slowpoke can also consistently check hail teams throughout in the metagame,(AC) as it can take care of Slush Rush sweepers such as Alolan Sandshrew and hail setters such as Snover with Fire Blast.

Usage Tips
========

Slowpoke should be switched into Pokemon it can handle, tanking their hits and KOing them back. Slowpoke can also be sent out to force switches, although it should generally double immediately switch out afterwards. Slowpoke also shouldn't be switched in and out randomly to just get its HP restored from Regenerator, as its checks are very common in the metagame, and if it switches in randomly carelessly, it might take a super effective move such as Knock Off(space). Slowpoke should avoid some mixed or special attackers, as its Special Defense is lacking compared to its Defense, and meaning it might get KOed by powerful special attacks; it should still be able to switch into resisted special attacks, but it should be wary in general.

========

Grass-types make good teammates, as they can wall incoming Grass-type and Electric-type attacks and can provide good type synergy with Slowpoke, as Slowpoke can take care of the Fire- and Ice-type Pokemon Grass-types don't appreciate, (comma) such as Ponyta and Alolan Sandshrew. Foongus and Ferroseed make great partners, and the latter can also set entry hazards to help Slowpoke take care of opposing Pokemon more easily. Slowpoke hates Knock Off, so Pokemon that don't mind Knock Off such as Sticky Hold users like Trubbish are great, (comma) such as Sticky Hold users like Trubbish. Slowpoke can also wall Psychic-types for Trubbish, which in return can take of most Grass-types that don't have a secondary Poison typing. Pokemon that can check Grass-, Electric-, and Dark-type Pokemon are favorable. Pawniard deserves a mention here because it provides good type synergy with Slowpoke, (comma) and it appreciates Slowpoke's ability to spread paralysis. Vullaby also deserves a mention, as it can wall most Dark-types such as Scraggy and can take care of Grass-types such as Foongus; it also provides nifty type synergy with Slowpoke, as the two form a nice core that can take on nearly everything except Electric-types. Fighting-type Pokemon such as Mienfoo can also be good teammates, as they can take care of Dark-types for Slowpoke, while Slowpoke can wall most Psychic-types and other checks. Mienfoo also forms a solid Regenerator core with Slowpoke and is also a decent Knock Off absorber, especially if it runs Acrobatics.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Future Sight and Earthquake are options for Slowpoke's 4th moveslot, as the former does a ton of damage once it hits, (comma) and the latter can deal with Electric-types; however, they are underwhelming because Future Sight gives the opponent a free turn, allowing them to either KO Slowpoke or switch to a Dark-type check, and Electric-types are generally faster than Slowpoke and can probably KO it before it can hit them with Earthquake.

===================

**Grass-types**: Grass-type Pokemon such as Ferroseed, Foongus, and Snivy are main checks against to Slowpoke due to their ability to hit Slowpoke's weaker Special Defense and wall most of Slowpoke's moves and potentially KO it back; however, they need to be wary of Fire Blast or Ice Beam. Foongus needs to be careful of Slowpoke's Psychic, but it can 2HKO Slowpoke with Giga Drain.

**Dark-types**: Dark-types such as Pawniard and Vullaby are a threat to Slowpoke, as they can also wall most of Slowpoke's moves and easily KO it in return with powerful STAB attacks; they can also cripple Slowpoke's bulk with STAB Knock Off.

Chinchou especially can wall all of Slowpoke's moves, as it is part Water-type and also gets healed by Thunder Wave; utility Chinchou can also use Heal Bell to cure status from Slowpoke's victims. Magnemite also deserves a mention due its ability to resist one of Slowpoke's STAB moves Psychic and KO it with powerful STAB moves. Furthermore, Recycle Magnemite can easily switch into Slowpoke any time and force it out, although all Magnemite variants needs to watch out for Fire Blast.

**Knock Off**: Knock Off is a common move in the LC metagame, and Slowpoke does not appreciate it due to it doing a lot of super effective damage and removing its Slowpoke's Eviolite, which is very important for Slowpoke's its role as a tank. Common users include Mienfoo, Timburr, Pawniard, and Vullaby, and although the Fighting-types need to watch out for Psychic, although Knock Off makes it harder for Slowpoke to switch into them.
