"Xerneas" and yes they do I'm fairly certain they do. I caught one in a Quick Ball and I caught another in a Master Ball.

what ball do people prefer xerneus in? i'm leaning toward quick ball coz of similar colours and the X and it has a high catch rate

Yes the IVs reset. Cause that's how I got my pretty darn good Xerneas. I used a Master Ball because I didn't need it for anything else since I had my good Mewtwo from my previous playthrough transferred over.

I'm not an expert, but this is definitely a very good Xerneas. You should probably take it to the IV Judge and see what they say so we can be more certain about those 30-31's. People will be more keen on trading for it if it has perfect speed (also maybe visit the Hidden Power judge if it does have 30 speed, see if it has HP Fire).
