Shared Power Council has decided to suspect test Quark Drive after the survey results!

Following the Kyogre comes the next controversial topic in the tier, Quark Drive, it has been extremely popular for a while now, being the last "reliable" form of speed boosting available, therefore restricting the options when it comes to revenge killers as there is no other ability you can use to compete with it that isn't restricted to one Pokémon in your team. But speed control isn't its only use, it can be used instead to boost offensive or defensive stats instead giving different team members the boost they need if their stat distribution allows it, breakers like Raging Bolt break better, and tanks like Heatran tank better with it, not many others abilities can be used to improve nearly every role you may want in your team.

But in the other hand, to even make use of Quark Drive you need to find a way to keep Electric terrain active, which can be quite complicated when both Psychic Surge and Grassy Surge are also part of the meta and have setters that are decent Pokémon by themselves, unlike the Pincurchin you are forced to run if you want to use Electric Surge, so while Quark Drive is a single ability that can be used for many things, requiring another ability to function means you are using 2 team slots for these effects, and whenever your terrain isn't up you are two abilities down compared to your opponent.

Requirements:
Requirements can be achieved by getting minimum 75 GXE in 25 games on the Shared Power ladder. In order to participate in the suspect, you must create a fresh alt (creation date no earlier than 01/06/2024) with the prefix SPQD at the start of the name. When you have obtained the reqs, make sure to post proof of your alt's record (generally a screenshot) in this thread, and if you wish to do so, you can also share your thoughts on the test here.

Voting:
Once the suspect period is over, everyone who has obtained reqs will be tagged. The post will then outline a process of blind voting, which will be clarified once the time arrives. For now, follow the above "Requirements" subheading to ensure that you have posted your reqs correctly. You must post on this thread in order to be tagged in the voting thread, however you do not need to include your vote on this thread.

A super-majority of 60% ban votes is required for Quark Drive to be restricted.

TL;DR
- Quark Drive will be allowed on ladder
- The minimum GXE requirement is 75 and the minimum game count is 25
- You must ladder on a newly-created alt using the prefix SPQD
- You must post your reqs in this thread, though the voting process will happen in a separate thread. You are not required to state your vote in this thread.
- The suspect test will conclude at June 15, 2024, at 11:59 PM GMT-4
- A ban vote of 60% is required to restrict Quark Drive in Shared Power.

Got reqs using stall. Never gonna do that again, it took forever.

Already wrote my love letter to Quark Drive here so I'll keep it short. I saw a lot of creative builds with the non-Speed boosts from Quark Drive. I actually think the speed boost is a healthy presence, too, since it keeps a lid on stuff like Scarf Maushold and Cloyster, and it also gives an alternative speed control method to priority spam.

After failing several times with my own Quark Drive team, I just went with the good old Zama Harvest team again. Then I learned the hard way that Calyrex's As One now grants Unnerve to its teammates. Good thing I got this done before more people realize that, lol.

Honestly not sure what I'll be voting yet. The team I was using struggled a fair bit on ladder, but it also barely made use of Speed boosts from Quark Drive, which I'm the most concerned about.
