Resource Scarlet/Violet VGC Team Dumps

Today we are going to focus on a team that won a Major Regional tournament in the Tainan region of Taiwan with 109 participants on December 10, 2022 also marking the very 1st regional tournament for this 9th Generation in this country.

This team was created by a Taiwan player named Tseng Yen-jung - Congratulations to him for winning this 1st tournament and for agreeing to share his team with the general public!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:DP/Murkrow: The Team :DP/Murkrow:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Indeedee: Indeedee :SV/Indeedee:

Indeedee-F @ Psychic Seed
Ability: Psychic Surge
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA / 4 SpD / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Follow Me
- Dazzling Gleam
- Helping Hand
- Protect

Unlike the other Indeedee Classic sets, this one has Dazzling Gleam and won't be blocked by Hydreigon which is a nightmare for this team.

:SV/Armarouge: Armarouge :SV/Armarouge:

Armarouge @ Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
Level: 50
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 228 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA / 20 SpD / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick Room
- Armor Cannon
- Expanding Force
- Protect / Wide Guard

Armarouge takes full advantage of its power if you choose the Trick Room option with Indeedee. He is of a modest nature allowing him to hit very hard with Expanding Force under the PSY field. Wide Guard will protect you from moves that will hit the whole court like Earthquake / Rock Slide / Heat Have ect...

:SV/Maushold-Four: Maushold-Four :SV/Maushold-Four:

Maushold-Four @ Wide Lens
Ability: Technician
Level: 50
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Follow Me
- Encore
- Population Bomb
- Protect

I will resume the presentation that I had already made for this Pokémon which was very well explained with the only difference here is that it is to play with the Teracrystal Ghost allowing it immunity to Fake Out + Any fighting type attack + Other Maushold-Four Population Bomb.

This Pokémon is playable in different ways. He has two incredibly useful talents: Friend Guard & Technician. With its Friend Guard talent this pokemon is a perfect ally for all Belly Drum / Dragon Dance / Sword Dance User ect ect .. and it is played with Super Fang / Population Bomb / Protect. In our case, with his Technician ability, he is an excellent sweeper thanks in particular to the support movement he has. His talent allows him to increases by x1.5 the power of abilities when it is less than or equal to 60. Population Bomb has an attack base of 20 so 20 x 1.5 = 30 and it can attack 10 times in a row - 30 x 10 = 300 with an accuracy of 90% each time. And that's the magic that works! Thanks to his Wind Lens object, he goes from an accuracy of 90% per shot to... 99 PERCENT accuracy on each shot ! So let's sum it all up ^.^ | We have a Pokémon that benefits from Technician increasing its attack to 30 + Wind Lens that will hit with 99% accuracy for 10 times in a row + A Normal STAB + 6,25% Chance to Critical Hit Every Hits and we have a weapon of mass destruction that moreover will be helped by the rest of the team.

:BW/Hydreigon: Hydreigon :BW/Hydreigon:

Hydreigon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Flash Cannon
- Heat Wave

A standard set with Choice Specs / Max Speed / Max SpA. A fairly varied move set allowing you to touch a bit of everything in the format. Teracrystal Steel + Flash Cannon will punish Sylveons removing your weakness to Fairy + Dragon along the way.

:SV/Meowscarada: Meowscarada :SV/Meowscarada:

Meowscarada @ Focus Sash
Ability: Overgrow
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Trick Room
- Flower Trick
- Knock Off
- Protect

An increasingly popular set. Unlike the Life Orb / Choice Band set, it will be able to stay on the ground a little longer. Trick Room will allow you to not only play with Tailwind Murkrow & why not trap the opponent who will have a full Speed team.

:DP/Murkrow: Murkrow :DP/Murkrow:

Murkrow @ Eviolite
Ability: Prankster
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 140 Def / 108 SpD / 4 Spe
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Haze
- Foul Play
- Taunt
- Tailwind

There is no need to present this Pokémon, its presence is so imposing in the format of this Series 1, but let's redo a brief presentation of its essential usefulness in the format. Murkrow with his Prankster talent imposes real pressure and can place the Tailwind for the rest of the team. Haze will punish the opponent Dondozo & Annihilape Bulk Up and can remove our team's stat drops (Hydeigon Draco Meteor).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Major Weakness Of The Team

- Trick Room : Good players who will play Dark type pokemon will be hell for you. Indeedee has no investment in SpA so do not count on him to eliminate them in 1 move...

- Maushold-Four : This Pokémon will be totally useless against Gholdengo & Annihilape. He will also be severely punished against the Garchomp Rough Skin and the Rocky Helmet (He will take damage x10) ...

- Meowscarada : In view of the large number of Pokemon Fake Out it will easily break its focus sash and the fact that it is playing Trick Room Set can be destabilizing...

- Hydreigon : As he is playing with the Choice Specs he will be blocked on a specific movement. Even if you Teracrystal Steel against fairy type pokémon it is enough that it has protect and you will be totally blocked and at the mercy of the enemy...

- Murkrow : Murkrow is there to put on the Tailwind and trap enemies, but his usefulness ends here. It will do little damage against physical Pokémon and will have no use against Special Pokémon...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Personally, I don't like this team at all...

She won a Major championship in Taiwan so she is necessarily very strong but she is not at all suitable for beginners / Intermediate / Veteran players in view of her complexity.

I only invite players with a rank above 1700 to play it because you know the format.

Nothing prevents you from trying it but very seriously this team is very complex so at your own risk.

Today we are going to study the most powerful team with the DUO Dondozo / Tatsugiri created by a TRIO of Japanese player.

This team also finished in 9th position in one of the biggest Pokémon tournaments of this beginning of the generation. Top 9 / 465

This team was created by Zenn172M ( じーん ) | Kae-ru | Shohei Kimura (ナンス)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Dondozo: The Team :SV/Tatsugiri:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Dondozo: Dondozo :SV/Dondozo:

ヘイラッシャ (Dondozo) @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Level: 50
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 116 HP / 172 Atk / 220 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Wave Crash
- Earthquake
- Protect

Everyone knows this Pokémon and what makes it one of the best Gen 9 Pokémon is thanks to its unique talent that it has in DUO with Tatsugiri. Once on the field Dondozo will eat Tatsugiri made him increase to +2 Atk / +2 Def / +2 SpA / +2 SpD / +2 Speed & at the same time making Tatsugiri INVINCIBLE until Dondozo was defeated.

Dondozo has incredible bulk & a very useful talent: Unaware --> Unaware will make Dondozo ignore the opponent's stat changes so even if the enemy was at +6 Defense, Dondozo will hit as hard as if he was neutral. This Dondozo set is Adamant and not Jolly like the other sets so keep that in mind that you're not going to Outspeed Pokémon over 100 speed.

Its distribution makes it hit very hard & fast. Unlike the other set it is played with Wave Crash and not Order Up. The Substitute will be there to prevent any status issues like Will-o-Wisp & Spore. He is playing with leftovers to recover some HP. Wave Crash STAB + Earthquake to hit the opponent. The Teracrystal Grass will be there to overcome its weakness.

:DP/Arcanine: Arcanine :DP/Arcanine:

ウインディ (Arcanine) @ Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 156 HP / 156 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 188 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Flare Blitz
- Psychic Fangs
- Extreme Speed

Arcanine is performing with the Choice Band. His intimidation talent + his varied move set will allow him to hit the enemy hard on many planes. Psychic Fang will be able to break through Grimmsnarl wards that can be annoying to Dondozo. Arcanine is the first user of the team in Teracrystal. With his Tera Normal Choice Band Extreme Speed he will do enormous damage to the opponent.

:SV/Gholdengo: Gholdengo :SV/Gholdengo:

サーフゴー (Gholdengo) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Good as Gold
Level: 50
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 4 HP / 4 Def / 244 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- Power Gem

This trap set from Gholdengo is Choice Scarf so your opponent won't expect it and will allow you to Outspeed your opponent. Usually Gholdengo are played with Life Orb / Choice Specs / Nasty Plot ect ect... This set will allow Outspeed Meowscarada. His Tera Crystal Steel will allow you to cancel Dark Opponent attacks and take advantage of the STAB Make It Rain Tera Steel.

:SV/Tatsugiri: Tatsugiri :SV/Tatsugiri:

シャリタツ (Tatsugiri) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Commander
Level: 50
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Muddy Water
- Icy Wind
- Protect

Tatsugiri here will be playing with Focus Sash. He is often played with Toxic Orb / Choice Scarf / Sitrus Berry ect ect... He has a non-negligible Special base of 120. Draco Meteor to do big damage / Icy Wind to control the speed. The Focus Sash will allow him to stay in the game for a while.

:XY/Sylveon: Sylveon :XY/Sylveon:

ニンフィア (Sylveon) @ Babiri Berry
Ability: Pixilate
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 164 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def / 84 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Tera Blast
- Quick Attack
- Detect

Sylveon is playing with Babiri Berry allowing him to resist against Gholdengo and revenge damage him with his Tera Crystal Fire. Once Teracristal Fire it will negate its weakness to Hydreigon Tera Steel Flash Cannon. It is important to note that Sylveon has two defensive options: Babiri berry + Tera Fire. You will be bringing another Pokémon to Tera Crystal during the game and this will allow you not to lose Sylveon easly and do a lot of damage in return.

:SV/Meowscarada: Meowscarada :SV/Meowscarada:

マスカーニャ (Meowscarada) @ Life Orb
Ability: Overgrow
Level: 50
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flower Trick
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Protect

It is played Life Orb/Overgrow in order to maximize damage.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What you need to know to play Dondozo perfectly
  • Haze : Here is your enemy who you must consider as a huge threat. Watch out for the Murkrow / Gengar / Palafin. An interesting thing is to manipulate your opponent into forcing him to take Murkrow in full view of your Dondozo but equip yourself to kill Murkrow quickly (Forcing your opponent to take it at the expense of another Pokemon just because you have a Dondozo and that he is scary).

  • Clear Smog / Spore / Will-O-Wisp / Intimidate : Don't forget you have Substitute to keep any crippling status issues.

  • Meowscarada : Another enemy of Dondozo is Meowscarada who will do huge damage to you with his Flower Trick but luckily in Gen 9 you can Teracrystal Grass to prevent Meowscarada from killing you too easily even if there is still a huge threat that you must take into consideration in your reflection.

  • Dondozo: There is no worse enemy than yourself... This sentence takes on its full meaning here because other Dondozos can be really boring to kill. Sets like Rest / Sleep Talk | Dondozo will have to be forced into Tera Crystal and then eliminated based on his new type.

How to get rid of Dondozo ?
  • Sand + Endeavor : The best way to get rid of Dondozo quickly is to play with the Sand + Lycanroc Endeavor which will lower his HP to 1hp thanks to the focus sash then you can put Dondozo at 1HP and he will die from the sand. I put you the link to the Sand team that I previously presented to you to defeat Dondozo. --> Sand Team

  • Perish Song : Quite difficult to set up and few pokemon present to use this technique but Perish Song is an effective way to get rid of Dondozo.

  • Fake Out : A rather special strategy consists in Fake Out Dondozo again, again, again to prevent him from attacking while your ally hits him slowly.

  • Final Gambit : Another way to do huge damage is Final Gambit with Annihilape (Sacrifice your Pokemon) but make sure your ally can finish Dondozo quickly before it gets too hard to take down.

As you can see there are many different ways to get rid of Dondozo. In my eyes the fastest way is to play with the Sand Strategy even if it is difficult to set up but guarantees you a 100% victory against Dondozo if you manage to put it into action.

We have studied a lot of team and varied strategy by excellent players but there is one thing that we have not studied for a long time and it is something that I started first to list on the site so without further ado hear forward for the beginning and return to one of the most famous game modes : The Trick Room.

This team was created by a Japanese player by the name of バルドル ( Ryota Otsubo ) or better known under the stage name of barudoru
His name surely means something to you and it's normal because
Ryota Otsubo is the 2017 VGC World Champion
:Celesteela:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Farigiraf: The Team :SV/Farigiraf:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Kingambit: Kingambit :SV/Kingambit:

ドドゲザン (Kingambit) @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Defiant
Level: 50
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Kowtow Cleave
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Protect

A classic Max HP / Max Atk set But it has the Safety Goggles !

Safety Goggles will allow him to counter one of the team's biggest threats : Amoonguss :Amoonguss:

We have Torkoal but Amoonguss will be able to Teracrystal WATER and Torkoal will be of no use and will take a spore putting an end to his reign...

Kingambit will therefore be present to save Torkoal from becoming a spore. (Thank you Kingambit <3) :Kingambit:

:BW/Hariyama: Hariyama :BW/Hariyama:

ハリテヤマ (Hariyama) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 17 Spe
- Fake Out
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Wide Guard

He is playing Max Atk - Max Def (unfortunately I don't know why he is playing with 17 IV in Speed) and will be a very good partner for Farigiraf / Kingambit / Torkoal

A set with Fake Out (To allow Farigiraf to put the Trick Room)

Close Combat + Flame Orb STAB will do huge damage and can OHKO most Pokémon under TR and put a minimum of 50% to Pokémon resistant to fighting type.

Knock Off to knock down items and punish Ghost/PSY Pokemon.

Wide Guard for wide motion protection like Earthquake + Hyper Voice ect...

:DP/Torkoal: Torkoal :DP/Torkoal:
コータス (Torkoal) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Drought
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Eruption
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Clear Smog

A Choice Specs/Tera Fire set with Flamethrower + Eruption ( STAB )

Clear Smog is chosen over Heat Wave specifically to get rid of Donzodo / Annihilape Bulk Up stats. :Dondozo: :Annihilape:

:SV/Meowscarada: Meowscarada :SV/Meowscarada:

マスカーニャ (Meowscarada) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Overgrow
Level: 50
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flower Trick
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Protect

Meowscarada is played with the Focus Sash and can serve as a 4th Pokémon in a Trick Room.

It will also be able to get rid of Water-Type Pokémon, something that the 4 TR Special Pokémon cannot do effectively.

:DP/Dragonite: Dragonite :DP/Dragonite:

カイリュー (Dragonite) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Inner Focus
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Ice Spinner
- Stomping Tantrum
- Extreme Speed

A very special Dragonite set with Assault Vest + Ice Spinner + Stomping Trantrum. Very different sets from what we are used to seeing from Dragonite. :Dragonite:

Ice Spinner will be able to punish Garchomps / Hydreigon / Grass + Ground Pokémon. :Garchomp: :Hydreigon:

Stomping Trantrum will punish Steel Pokemon like Gholdengo. :Gholdengo:

:SV/Farigiraf: Farigiraf :SV/Farigiraf:

リキキリン (Farigiraf) @ Throat Spray
Ability: Armor Tail
Level: 50
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 180 HP / 172 Def / 44 SpA / 108 SpD / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick Room
- Hyper Voice
- Shadow Ball
- Protect

Unlike the Gen 2 version, Farigiraf takes a very important place in the VGC world and this mainly thanks to his talent : Armor Tail which protects you and your allies from any priority attack.

All Fake Out & Murkrow present on the VGC field will not be able to do anything against Farigiraf. He goes perfectly with Hariyama who will be able to Fake Out + Trick Room hence their important lead. :Hariyama: :Murkrow:

He has a strategically distributed EV spread & his EVs are specially placed to resist Annihilape Final Gambit with 1HP + Life Orb Hydreigon Dark Pulse. :Annihilape: :Hydreigon:

Throat Spray + Hyper Voice STAB will do terrible damage. Shadow Ball will be used to get rid of Annihilape Bulk Up + Gholdengo which cannot be hit by Hyper Voice. This Pokémon is mainly used to place the Trick Room but once set up it is extremely strong and useful. :Annihilape: :Gholdengo:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Differents combat options :

Trick Room :
:Farigiraf: + :Hariyama: + :Torkoal: + :Kingambit: | :Meowscarada: ( VS Water Threats Team ) / :Dragonite: ( VS Depending on the threats of the opposing team )

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What you need to pay attention to / Take into consideration in your reflection
Torkoal : Torkoal can find himself in difficulty against Team (Defense) Hyper Defense / Balance / Stall :Torkoal:

Ceruldegde : This Pokémon can cause you problems and you have only one way to get rid of it quickly and effectively with Kingambit - If you ever find yourself facing it you must have your Kingambit alive in your team. :Kingambit: VS :Ceruledge:

Gholdengo : Modest Gholdengo - Choice Specs sets can OHKO your Hariyama ( 252+ SpA Choice Specs Gholdengo Make It Rain vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Hariyama: 190-225 (86.7 - 102.7%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO ) :Hariyama: VS :Gholdengo:

Dondozo : If your opponent has a Dondozo / Tatsugiri in his team,
you absolutely have to take Meowscarada to overcome it. Remember that this Pokémon is your way out VS Dondozo. :Meowscarada: VS :Dondozo:

Below is the concept for the team, it is rooted around setting up Coalossal to have +6 Speed, +2 Atk/SpAtk, and then copying with Flamigo's Costar while also transforming Palafin-Hero.

I really wanted to make use of some cool new gimmicks and synergies, such as Coalossal's Steam Engine and Flamigo's Costar, along with Finizen's legendary transformation with Water U-Turn.

Team is still undergoing testing, currently 17-9 on ladder, but definitely has blindspots and weaknesses (due to being based on a gimmick that can be undone with an unfortunate Haze, OHKO, etc.) Any comments or advice on improvements are appreciated! Notably, Cyclizar is still Dragon Tera Type, as I have no intention of ever Terastallizing it, and I am not sure why I would!

---

964-h.png

Jimbei
Palafin @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Zero to Hero
Tera Type: Grass / Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flip Turn
- Jet Punch
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch

Tera Grass is present to protect from Spore or resist OHKO Flower Trick crit from Meowscarada. Flip Turn is your go-to move, transforming Palafin, bringing out Flamigo, and mostly getting Coalossal's boosts off. Drain Punch is tech for coverage and sustaining if Palafin gets brought back out later in the fight, and finally Jet Punch is crucial +1 priority to stop turn one "OHKO" from Maushold for example. Currently testing Ghost Tera type as this team has no counter to Extreme Speed Dragonite.

839.png

Akainu
Coalossal @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Steam Engine
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 Atk / 228 SpD / 28 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Rock Blast

Earthquake and Rock Slide are your main tools, both with "STAB" via Tera Ground and that hit both opponents plus provide crucial x2 damage on popular mons, and with Slides added flinching chance. Protect is present to stall out Trick Room or for specific instances when you need to survive to bring out Flamigo or Indeedee. Rock Blast is your only single-target move, and is specifically chosen for its ability to OHKO Murkrow turn one to avoid a turn two Haze (your other options here are Stone Edge, Heat Crash, or Tera Rock Rock Slide). Tera Ground was chosen because it maintains Coalossal's weakness to Ground, provides an Earthquake boost, and reduces its overall weaknesses compared to Rock/Fire.

973.png

Donflamigo
Flamigo @ White Herb
Ability: Costar
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Detect
- Brave Bird
- Close Combat
- Wide Guard

Pretty straightforward set imo. Tera Steel for defensiveness, but will likely never be used. Brave Bird and Close Combat are your damaging moves, with the White Herb there to counter Close Combat's defense reduction. Wide Guard is specifically here to stop Gholdengo from OHKO'ing Coalossal and Flamigo its first turn out with Tera Steel STAB Make it Rain, but can have other uses. Originally had Roost, but never found a situation where it would be used that Flamigo wasn't going to be killed regardless. SpD EV investment is there for some bulk that is sorely needed.

876.png

Toki
Indeedee-F @ Leftovers
Ability: Own Tempo
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Follow Me
- Psych Up
- Stored Power
- Heal Pulse

Tera Type is immaterial and will never be used. Follow me is your main redirection to keep your Flamigo/Coalossal dishing out big damage. Psych Up/Stored Power is a random but useful synergy with Flamigo/Coalossal's wild stat boosts (+10), with Heal Pulse hopefully providing them with some longevity.

967.png

Kozuki
Cyclizar @ Aguav Berry
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
- Shed Tail
- Knock Off
- Rapid Spin
- Taunt

1000.png

Yasopp
Gholdengo @ Air Balloon
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Timid Nature
- Make it Rain
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Recover

---

My idea for a standard first turn with the team set-up:

- Coalossal Teras to Ground type, reducing its weaknesses and taking 1/2 the damage it would have from the incoming Flip Turn from Palafin.
- Palafin uses Flip Turn on Coalossal. This will do about 20% of its HP. Coalossal gains +6 Speed and +2 Atk and +2 SpAtk from its ability and weakness policy.
- Palafin goes back to the party and brings out Flamigo.
- Flamigo's Costar ability copies Coalossal's stats. It is now +6 Speed, +2 Atk/SpAtk.
- Palafin transforms in the party to Hero Palafin.
- Coalossal is now ready to use whatever move I selected, could use Earthquake (Flamigo is immune), Rock Slide (still gets stab, hits both opponents, flinches, etc). With a lot of teams I have been seeing, either of these moves will often get at least 1 KO.

---

I made some specific choices in stats such as speed and defenses to make sure the moves are taking place in the correct order, and to make sure with applied buffs the Mons are outspeeding popular Mons, surviving hits from heavy hitters, etc. But more could definitely be done in that department.

Of these three, only Cyclizar is not technically key to the strategy. Coalossal and Flamigo are the key pairing, and Palafin (or a water move user) is necessary to spark Coalossal's ability/held item. This definitely reduces the flexibility you are allowed here.

Flamigo build is from Wolfe's Tatsugiri/Dondozo team, but could be altered to better fit this comp. I like other ideas from Wolfe's team, such as Maushold for example as a support, and I also like Cetitan as an alterante to Coalossal for getting stat boosts on the board for Flamigo.

Coalossal is invested in SpDef due to its higher Def and hopeful +2 boosts from Iron Defense which allow it to survive a lot of big physical attackers, especially with its Tera Ground. However, a Special Attacker could unravel a lot of this strategy as even with the investment it still takes big hits.

---

Added Indeedee-F to the lineup for support + synergy with Psych Up/Stored Power and Coalossal OR Flamigo

---

After testing I took Cyclizar out of the initial set-up squad, and now bring Palafin/Coalossal first, but keep it + Taunt as a counter to teams with Haze users such as Murkrow. Its Shed Tail can still come in handy.

Additionally, Gholdengo is here, admittedly, because I can't figure out what to slot 6th. It has good random utility, but I havent used it yet, and I am curious if its Nasty Plot can pair with Indeedee's Psych Up in some scenario, but it hasn't been tried.

Palafin has been changed to Tera Grass (bye-bye ridiculous Water STAB) in order to counter Meowscarada which can outspeed and OHKO with Flower Trick, upsetting the entire strategy.

---

Edit: Added information below each mon with some explanations for choices made, random moves that aren't often used but provide much needed utility here.

---

Thanks for reading. I am excited to make use out of all of these cool new Pokemon with interesting abilities and moves. I think that with all the new "gimmick" Pokemon introduced recently, we might get to a point where the gimmicks are actually consistent.

This Pokémon has one of the best moves of this Gen 9: Shed Tail. In exchange for 50% of your HP, it allows you to create a clone and offer this clone to another Pokémon on your team. Its distribution in EV HP (244) allows you to Shed Tail (- 50%) + Sitrus Berry (25%) and thus will return you to 75% allowing you to redo another Shed Tail afterwards ( provided you do not not having taken damage from the enemy

Iron Head subdues and punishes Sylveon who can be a threat to Garchomp / Hydreigon. :Garchomp: / :Hydreigon:

Iron Defense + Body Press will be there to Stall the opponent and potentially punish him at the end of the match.

The creator played the Tera Poison but I really don't see what it's for...?! so I leave you free to place the one of your choice ^^"

:BW/Gothitelle: Gothitelle :BW/Gothitelle:

Gothitelle @ Safety Goggles

Calm Nature
- Trick Room
- Fake Out
- Psychic
- Heal Pulse

Gothitelle is here for the support of Orthworm. Fake Out + Shed Tail + Switch on something else.

Psychic STAB will be able to punish the Annihilape / Hariyama and with its base of 95 in SpA which is not negligible even without investment in EV it will still do very big damage. :Annihilape: / Hariyama:

Safety Goggles to protect against Amoonguss spores. :Amoonguss:

Teracrystal Dark to protect against Dark/Ghost type attacks and stay in the field longer as a support.

:DP/Garchomp: Garchomp :DP/Garchomp:

Garchomp @ Clear Amulet
Ability: Rough Skin
Level: 50

Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Protect

A Bulky Garchomp set with Clear Amulet to prevent any stat drops to let Garchomp have his full power. :Garchomp:

A somewhat special set because it can adapt very well to the Trick Room or the Tailwind (It will reach 250 speed under Tailwind) and it will be slower than the Full speed Pokémon under Trick Room because its EVs are essentially distributed everywhere else .

Teracrystal Ground to maximize damage, it will combine perfectly with Orthworm which is immune to Ground attacks while restoring its HP. :Orthworm:

:BW/Hydreigon: Hydreigon :BW/Hydreigon:

Hydreigon @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Flash Cannon
- Tailwind

A classic set of Hydreigon playing with the Tera Crystal Steel to punish the Sylveon with the rest of his move set doing to hit very hard and place the Tailwind. :Sylveon:

Be careful he is playing Modest so you will lose vs Hydreigon Timid if you don't teracrystallize ! :Hydreigon:

:SV/Gholdengo:Gholdengo:SV/Gholdengo:

Gholdengo @ Metal Coat
Ability: Good as Gold
Level: 50
Tera Type: Flying

Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot

- Protect

A Gholdengo set with Nasty Plot.

His investment in Speed allows him to Out Speed Annihilape Choice Scarf under the Tailwind. The rest is put into SpA to do as much damage as possible. :Annihilape:

Metal Coat will do huge damage with Make It Rain +2

Teracrystal Flying will allow you to avoid all Ground type attacks and your Garchomp will not have to worry about Gholdengo and will be able to freely strike with all its might with Earthquake. :Garchomp: :Gholdengo:

:BW/Torkoal: Torkoal :BW/Torkoal:

Torkoal @ Focus Sash

Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Clear Smog
- Eruption
- Heat Wave
- Protect

A special set from Torkoal because he is not min speed but Max SpA. This set is specially designed to counter Dondozo with Clear Smog which can be a real pain for the team to eliminate. :Dondozo:

You can place Shed Tail Torkoal under Substitute / Focus Sash / Tera Fire + Eruption to do massive damage under Trick Room.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Different Battle Options :

Ground DUO - Tailwind : :Orthworm: + :Garchomp: + :Hydreigon: :Gholdengo:

Shed Tail ( Garchomp / Gholdengo ) - Tailwind : :Orthworm: + :Hydreigon: + :Garchomp: + :Gholdengo:

Trick Room : :Gothitelle: + :Orthworm: + :Torkoal: + ( Pokemon of your choice depending on the opposing team )

Full Speed Team : :Hydreigon: + :Garchomp: + :Orthworm: + :Gholdengo:

Today we are going to study a team with one of my favorite Pokémon of this Gen 9 and which turns out to be an excellent Pokémon in VGC thanks to a rather particular combo. A mixture of ice and electricity that will create a tornado of electro-ice to pulverize the opponent. :Abomasnow:

This team was created by a player named VGC_Viking

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Oranguru: The Team :SV/Bellibolt:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:DP/Abomasnow: Abomasnow :DP/Abomasnow:

Abomasnow @ Focus Sash
Ability: Snow Warning
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 180 HP / 76 Def / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Aurora Veil
- Tera Blast
- Energy Ball
- Blizzard

A Bulky Abomasnow set with a very varied moveset.

Aurora Veil for protection.

Energy Ball STAB.

Blizzard with 100% Accuracy + STAB.

Tera Explosion Rock to punish Fire Pokemon like Torkoal under Trick Room. :Torkoal:

:SV/Cetitan: Cetitan :SV/Cetitan:

Cetitan @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Slush Rush
Level: 50
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 180 HP / 220 SpD / 108 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Liquidation
- Earthquake
- Ice Spinner

A special set with Belly Drum. It is played Adamant without any investment in attack. it is maximized in Bulk and associates very well with Amoonguss which can Rage Powder and allow Cetitan de Belly Drum quietly. :Amoonguss:

Teracrystal Water is present for two reasons:

1- It will allow it to protect itself from Fire Pokémon (As it is an ice type)

2- Liquidation will take advantage of its new type to do huge damage at +6 attack.

:SV/Baxcalibur: Baxcalibur :SV/Baxcalibur:

Baxcalibur @ Loaded Dice
Ability: Thermal Exchange
Level: 50
Tera Type: Ice
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Atk / 44 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Swords Dance
- Glaive Rush
- Icicle Spear
- Stomping Tantrum

A very special set from Baxcalibur as it is Min Speed with Loaded Dice + Sword Dance.

Loaded dice will allow him to throw icicles at the opponent 5 times.

Stamping Trantrum to hit Pokémon Fire.

:SV/Oranguru: Oranguru :SV/Oranguru:

Oranguru @ Mental Herb
Ability: Telepathy
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 140 HP / 252 Def / 116 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Bulldoze
- Energy Ball
- Instruct

The key Pokémon to perfectly ally with Bellibolt and implement the Bellibolt strategy ( Please read the Bellibolt paragraph carefully to understand what this strategy comes from ) :Bellibolt:

He has the Mental Herb to block Taunt Users and thus put 99.9% of the Trick Room in place. ( Unless a 999IQ player will double taunt ) :Mental Herb:

Energy Ball will be there to surprise the opponent like Water / Ground / Rock Pokémon. This attack will be very very useful against Gastrodon in particular. :Gastrodon:

Bulldoze to activate the Bellibolt Strategy. :Bellibolt:

Instruct to put your ally to put a double attack on the opponent. ( A particularly useful combo I've used with Torkoal Eruption in the past. ) :Torkoal:

Teracrystal Fairy will be to protect you from Dark / Ghost type Pokémon that may prevent you from placing the Trick Room.:Hydreigon:

:SV/Bellibolt: Bellibolt :SV/Bellibolt:

Bellibolt @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Electromorphosis
Level: 50
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 196 HP / 252 Def / 60 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 19 Spe
- Slack Off
- Discharge
- Weather Ball
- Protect

This Pokémon with a super cool design has a somewhat special talent: Electromorphosis --> It increases the power of its electrical attacks if it is hit by a direct hit (A bit the same ability as Torch which increases the Pokémon's Fire power if he was hit by a fire-type attack). So Discharge will do huge damage. :Houndoom: :Heatran:

He associates very well with his friend Oranguru Trick Room because both Pokémon have a very slow speed (59 / 58). Oranguru will do Bulldoze to activate Bellibolt's Weakness Policy + His Electromorphosis talent which will charge him with electricity + Telepathy will make sure not to touch Oranguru leaving you free to pulverize the opponent Mouwahaha ( Sorry ^^ " ) :Bellibolt: :Oranguru: :Weakness Policy:

Bellibolt is very resistant even if he does not have a particularly incredible SpA base, the strategy put in place will allow him to stay on the ground for a long time and gradually reduce the enemy's power.

Bellibolt is a great physical wall and slack off will allow him to regain his energy to continue his carnage. :Bellibolt:

Weather Ball is there to punish Ground Pokemon like Garchomp. Abomasnow will bring the Hail and Weather Ball Ice will punish all this beautiful Ground/Dragon/Grass/Rock type people. :Abomasnow: :Garchomp:

Muddy Water will be there in support if Abomasnow is not / no longer there to touch the Pokémon Ground. :Abomasnow:

:BW/Amoonguss: Amoonguss :BW/Amoonguss:

Amoonguss @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 124 Def / 132 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Spore
- Rage Powder
- Clear Smog
- Protect

Amoonguss Rocky Helmet will be able to punish Maushold-Four with his attack which will hit 10 times he will be punished in return by 10 blows of Rock Helmet on the head which will take him alone to the grave (⌒▽⌒). :Rocky-Helmet: :Maushold-Four:

Rage Powder will allow you to place the Trick Room or absorb the attacks so that your ally can attack quietly ( Beware of the Pokémon who will wear the Safety Goggles will not be affected by the powder ). :Safety Goggles:

Spore will see to it that the opponent is put to sleep. :Amoonguss:

Teracrystal water to protect you from Torkoal under Trick Room. :Torkoal:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :

Wide Guard : :Bellibolt: + :Cetitan: + :Abomasnow: --> The problem with his 3 Pokémon is that he has moves that will hit several targets at the same time | Discharge + Blizzard + Earthquake will be totally blocked by Wide Guard :Armarouge: + :Hariyama:

:Oranguru: + :Bellibolt: Lead --> Since neither of his two Pokémon has Protect, you must be sure if you play this combo as a lead to be able to survive the opposing attack. An emergency solution is to Trick Room + Slack Off but if the opponent thinks well and decides to focus on your other Pokémon you will lose it... | Example : :Salamence: + :Arcanine: ( Draco Meteor + Fire Blast on Oranguru KO No Trick Room ) and as you have no way to trick room again under you will be in big trouble... | A backup solution to this problem : If you have :Oranguru: + :Bellibolt: in Lead (Oranguru KO) you will need :Abomasnow: + :Cetitan: who will take advantage of his talent to increase his speed under the Hail and try to catch up with the situation with Cetitan.

:Abomasnow: + :Cetitan: + :Baxcalibur: + :Oranguru: + :Bellibolt: ---> None of his Pokémon has Protect which can be disadvantageous especially against higher level players who will take advantage of this lack of protection for the team.

:Abomasnow: + :Cetitan: + :Baxcalibur: --> All 3 are Ice-type Pokémon so Fire & Fighting Pokémon will be a real threat to them. All 3 are Ice-type Pokémon so Fire & Fighting Pokémon will be a real threat to them. The Teracrystal will be there to protect them but don't forget that you can only save 1 of the three.

Weather Wars :Abomasnow: --> If ever abomasnow were to die and you didn't have the possibility to put the Hail Cetitan in trouble for Sweep thanks to its too high speed to fully if the Trick Room is put in place. :Abomasnow: :Cetitan:

:Cetitan: --> Another issue you may encounter with Cetitan is that you may receive way too much damage to set up with Belly Drum. Kingambit can Iron Head you and make you activate your Sitrus Berry so even if you have HP to do Belly Drum with L'aurora Veil active you will still be in zone of being KO by Sucker Punch.

:Bellibolt:
--> Due to its low investment in SpA Bellibolt will certainly cause damage but not huge damage...

Today we are going to study the most difficult and complex team that I have been able to present to you. A Perish Song team that can lead you to victory if you know when & how to play your cards. :Gothitelle:

This team was created by a Japanese player named SNOW (BlueYoshi) who finished in the Top 4 at WCS 2017

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:BW/Gothitelle: The Team :BW/Azumarill:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:BW/Gothitelle: Gothitelle :BW/Gothitelle:

ゴチルゼル (Gothitelle) @ Iapapa Berry

Calm Nature
- Fake Out
- Hypnosis
- Heal Pulse

:Gothitelle: Flagship member of DUO Perish Song. :Azumarill:

He is played Max HP / Max SpD with the calm nature which allows him to take Life Orb Dark Pulse Hydreigon. :Life Orb: :Hydreigon:

His Teracrystal Dark allows him to protect himself from Ghost/Dark attacks.
Ghost_I.png

His move set is totally for support, Fake Out allows Azumarill to place the Perish Song and the rest of his attacks to stall the opponent and heal Azumarill for the 3 turns that separate you from the KO while being trapped by Shadow Tag. :Azumarill:

:BW/Amoonguss: Amoonguss :BW/Amoonguss:

モロバレル (Amoonguss) @ Wiki Berry
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 20 Def / 236 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 26 Spe
- Spore
- Rage Powder
- Pollen Puff
- Protect

Amoonguss will be in support with his full support moveset for the team, he is equipped with a Wiki Berry to stay longer in the field. :Wiki Berry:

Pollen Puff will do heavy damage to the opposing Meowscarada & allow you to heal your comrades in battle. :Meowscarada:
Dream_Potion_Sprite.png

:DP/Gyarados: Gyarados :DP/Gyarados:

ギャラドス (Gyarados) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Tera Blast
- Waterfall
- Protect

A Gyarados Life Orb - Dragon Dance - Tera Flying. :Gyarados: :Life Orb:

Tera Flying will give you the opportunity to punish Grass Pokemon like Amoonguss & Fight like Hariyama. :Amoonguss: :Hariyama:

This Pokemon pairs very well with :Gothitelle: ( Fake Out + Dragon Dance ) & :Amoonguss: ( Rage Powder + Dragon Dance ) and do heavy damage.

:DP/Azumarill: Azumarill :DP/Azumarill:

マリルリ (Azumarill) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Sap Sipper
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Sing
- Perish Song
- Aqua Jet
- Protect

Azumarill & Gothitelle are the DUO to create the perfect Perish Song Trap combo. :Azumarill: :Gothitelle:

You can use it in Lead or wait until the end of the match to place your combo by getting rid of the first two Pokémon with the other offensive Pokémon on your team: Gyarados / Meowscarada / Kingambit. :Gyarados: :Meowscarada: :Kingambit:

His Sap Slipper Talent will allow him to withstand plant-type attacks like Meowscarada Flower Trick and thus boost his attack to +1. :Meowscarada:

His move set is basically there to stall the opponent so that Perish Song's 3 rounds happen and take them to the grave.

Sing will allow you to put a Pokémon to sleep if necessary or to perform an action, but be careful because Sing only has 55% accuracy so only use this move if you have no other choice. :Chesto berry:

The Teracrystal Ground is there to prevent Azumarill from taking an electric-type attack so that the trap stays active longer. :Azumarill:

:SV/Meowscarada: Meowscarada :SV/Meowscarada:

マスカーニャ (Meowscarada) @ Choice Band
Ability: Protean
Level: 50
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Flower Trick
- Knock Off
- Brick Break

Meowscarada is Choice Band / Adamant (Beware he is not Jolly ! ) so you would be slower than the others :Meowscarada: & :Maushold-Four:

This Pokémon will be there to hit very very hard with its Choice Band Protean. :Choice Band:

:SV/Kingambit: Kingambit :SV/Kingambit:

ドドゲザン (Kingambit) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Defiant
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 244 Atk / 4 SpD / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Kowtow Cleave
- Iron Head
- Brick Break
- Sucker Punch

Kingambit carries the Assault Vest which makes it particularly Bulky but very slow due to its very low gear investment (4 EV ). :Assault Vest:

He has the Teracrystal Fairy which will allow him to take Fight type attacks very calmly. :Hariyama:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Different Fighting Option :

Hyper Offense : :Gyarados: + :Meowscarada: + :Kingambit: + :Azumarill:

Offense : :Gothitelle: + :Meowscarada: ( U-Turn ) + :Gyarados: ( Intimidate ) + ( Dragon Dance ) + :Azumarill: ( Perish Song )

Perish Song : :Gothitelle: + :Azumarill: + ( Pokemon of your choice depending on the opposing team )

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :

:Gyarados: + :Meowscarada: + :Kingambit: : The major problem with these 3 Pokémon is that they have a weakness of x4 ( :Gyarados: --> Electric ) / ( :Meowscarada: --> Bug ) / ( :Kingambit: --> Fight ) | :Gyarados: & :Meowscarada: do not have a lot of Bulk so even if they are strong on paper you must imperatively get rid of the threat otherwise you will be massacred by the enemy...

:Gothitelle: + :Amoonguss: + :Azumarill: : The major problem with these 3 Pokémon is that they are only support Pokémon and absolutely cannot beat the enemy without the presence of one of the 3 other offensive Pokémon.

:Gothitelle: + :Azumarill: Perish Song : The problem with this Pokémon combo is that it will be very difficult to set up if the opponent has Ghost-type Pokémon & more particularly Gholdengo ( :Gholdengo: ) which will not be affected by status moves and can freely do huge damage without you being able to survive it for 3 turns. The presence of Meowscarada & Kingambit will therefore be essential, but if for X reasons he dies or the opponent keeps Gholdengo in 3-4th position, you will not be able to defeat him.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As indicated in the presentation at the beginning, this team is the most difficult and complex that we have studied to at this day. I have to take measures that are unprecedented and never taken before.

Spr_1b_141_f.png
I invite players with a minimum rank level 1800 - 2000 to play with this team.
Spr_1b_142_f.png

( Nothing prevents you from trying it but without a very very increased knowledge of the VGC you have little chance of defeating your opponent )

Ok, so before I begin this short summary I would like to say all these teams were made in ~10 minutes probably.
These teams are probably only on a 1400 level (with my playing skill), but with about an hour of tweaking, I could probably get these to a consistent 1600 level. Not crazy high, but very beginner friendly.

https://pokepast.es/c175136ba47334c8
Triple Moxie allows for sweeps with underrated pokemon like Quaq and Honch.
Super Fang Noivern pairs well with another moxie mon against slow teams for a fast KO to set you up in a position to keep pressuring.
Muashold after you can give crazy damage with Crabominable. Wide Guard is great against ghold and torkoal.

https://pokepast.es/461ae9175b18892b
After You Maushold pairs well with both Torkoal Eruption sweep or Crabominable doing crazy damage. Follow me is always a good move.
Honchkrow gives really high attacking power with sucker punch and brave bird.
Azumaril tanks Arm and Ceru thanks to sap sipper to beat the tera. Helping hand allows for more damage output.
Talonfllame with feint is an interesting tech to beat protect and remove sash. Tailwind for speed control.

https://pokepast.es/d3c2414ef5e36a68
This team is meant to take of teams that focus too much on 1 attacking stat. Ape is great for taking out problems with final gambit.
Wide Guard on Ava and Hari allows for lots of mobility.
Florges somehow hits like a truck. Tera ground for coverage.
Avalugg and Florges are great SpD and Def tanks.

https://pokepast.es/38912c2040acec35
I team this fought on ladder. Tera Ghost Dun with beat up gives +6 Spe, +2 Spa, +2 Atk with WP. Baton Pass into another mon then switch into Flamigo for great sweeping potential (weak to murkrow). Beat Up on Arcanine for another option (Tera ghost is a mistake).

https://pokepast.es/2d8841d2274b809c
Final Gambit to remove problems with Fake Out to deal damage. Have Dondozo take the fainted Ape place, then switch into tats to give Dondozo the +2 boosts. When Dondozo dies you can take care of the remaining pokemon with Fake Out Draco, or protect revival blessing to get dondozo back.
Glimmora I'm unsure about. Dragonite is also questionable.

Sorry this isn't as detailed as other people's lists.

Today we are going to focus on a Gen 2 Pokémon that often remains in the shadow of the main tiers (UU / NU / PU / NFE). With the arrival of Gen 9 this Pokémon has had an evolution making it... Still unknown to the minds of players ^^"

But today comes its hour of glory and let's see what this Pokémon is really capable of. Thanks to the imagination of a Japanese player he made it a real threat thanks to a formidable combo. Without further ado, it's time to look into his case and study what Dudunsparce can really do !:Dudunsparce:

:Dudunsparce: This team was created by a Japanese player named ptrst.:Dudunsparce:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Dudunsparce: The Team :SV/Dudunsparce:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:DP/Jolteon: Jolteon :DP/Jolteon:

サンダース (Jolteon) @ Loaded Dice
Ability: Volt Absorb
Level: 50
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pin Missile
- Light Screen
- Thunder Wave
- Baby-Doll Eyes

Jolteon is mainly present to set up the Dudunsparce set up BUT it also has its usefulness elsewhere. :Jolteon: :Dudunsparce:

Jolteon Pin Missile will OHKO Meowscarada 0 Def / No Protean. :Jolteon: :Meowscarada:

The rest of his Moveset is basically for team support. ( Thunder Wave = Para Hax ) / Light Screen ( Special Defense ) / Baby-Doll Eyes ( -1 Atk for enemy )

:Jolteon: Jolteon is one of the best Loted Dice users with this strategy. :Jolteon:

:SV/Meowscarada: Meowscarada :SV/Meowscarada:

マスカーニャ (Meowscarada) @ Choice Band
Ability: Protean
Level: 50
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Flower Trick
- Knock Off
- Play Rough

A Pokémon that we no longer present in VGC because its presence is so imposing. :Meowscarada:

He is playing with Choice Band / Tera Grass (STAB x2) :Choice Band:

Play Rough will be there to punish Dragon Type Pokémon like Garchomp / Hydreigon. :Garchomp: :Hydreigon:

:BW/Murkrow: Murkrow :BW/Murkrow:

ヤミカラス (Murkrow) @ Eviolite
Ability: Prankster
Level: 50
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 28 Def / 228 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Haze
- Quash
- Foul Play
- Tailwind

Murkrow is present to manage the Speed with Tailwind & he is playing with Eviolite. :Murkrow: :Eviolite:

Murkrow will play a role essentially VS Team Speed because he can put the Tailwind ensuring Jolteon to be the fastest Pokémon on the field. :Jolteon: :Murkrow:

Quash will cause the Pokémon it hit last to act.

:SV/Annihilape:Annihilape:SV/Annihilape:

コノヨザル (Annihilape) @ Leftovers
Ability: Defiant
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 116 Atk / 60 Def / 52 SpD / 28 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Rage Fist
- Protect

Annihilape playing with the Leftovers & Teracrystal Fire. :Annihilape: :Leftovers:

A fairly classic set (If you want more information on Annihilape, I invite you to read this guide -->
Annihilape Guide

:DP/Gardevoir: Gardevoir :DP/Gardevoir:

サーナイト (Gardevoir) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Telepathy
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick
- Psyshock
- Moonblast
- Dazzling Gleam

Gardevoir here is playing with the Choice Scarf. :Gardevoir. :Choice Scarf:

He will be able to put pressure on all dragon-type Pokémon like Garchomp / Hydreigon & Meowscarada and thanks to the Choice Scarf he cannot Out Speed you. :Garchomp: :Hydreigon: :Meowscarada: :Choice Scarf:

:SV/Dudunsparce: Dudunsparce :SV/Dudunsparce:

ノココッチ (Dudunsparce) @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Rattled
Level: 50
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 188 Def / 252 SpA / 68 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Boomburst
- Stored Power
- Protect

Dudunsparce plays here with Weakness Policy + Teracrystal PSY. :Weakness Policy:

Its Talent Rattled allows it to increase its speed by +1 if the Pokémon is hit by an Insect-Type attack ; Dark ; Ghost & Intimidation and we're going to use that to make it extremely strong.
Ghost_I.png

The strategy is to associate it with Jolteon and its attack Pin-Missile (Type Bug) + Loated Dice ( Which guarantees you to hit 100% 4 times - 80% 5 times ) making Dudunsparce 100% +4 Speed / 80% +5 Speed. :Jolteon: :Dudunsparce:

Dudunsparce Weakness Policy + Teracrystal PSY + Jolteon Pin Missile / Loated Dice = Dudunsparce --> +4 / +5 in Speed + ( +2 Atk ) + ( +2 SpA ) = 8 Boost = Stored Power --> Power 20 x 8 / 9= 160 / 180

( NO STAB --> if the Teracrystal type does not match one of the original types, then the type activated after the transformation takes precedence over the rest. This therefore necessarily changes the resistances and weaknesses of the teracrystallized Pokémon. ) :Jolteon: :Dudunsparce:

Jolteon's speed is so high that you can set up Dudunsparce and attack with him immediately. :Jolteon:

Its speed distribution (68 EV) allows it to Out Speed under Tailwind Pokémon with a speed less than or equal to 100.

Dudunsparce will essentially be there to put Stored Power and sweep the field but you also have access to Boomburst (STAB) plus you have two Pokémon ( :Annihilape: ) + ( :Gardevoir: ) which will be immune to this attack + Flamethrower. :Dudunsparce:

He already has a solid base in HP and his EV distribution is based on Defense + SpA.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Different combat combinations :
  • Hyper Offense : :Gardevoir: + :Meowscarada:

  • Speed Control : :Murkrow: + :Meowscarada: + :Gardevoir: + :Annihilape:

  • Speed Control 2 : :Murkrow: + :Gardevoir: + :Jolteon: + :Dudunsparce:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :

  • Meowscarada + Gardevoir : It's Pokemon will be your best option offensively but they will be knocked out quickly due to their lack of bulk investment. :Gardevoir: :Meowscarada:

  • Jolteon + Murkrow + Dudunsparce : It's Pokemon are basically there as a support. Once Dudunsparce's set up is complete Jolteon & Murkrow can't do anything offensively. If ever the opponent decides to Double Target Dundus because on the Special Plan he can get OHKO without having done anything. :Jolteon: :Murkrow: :Dudunsparce:

  • Jolteon + Meowscarada + Gardevoir + Murkrow : None of its 4 Pokémon has a protection move ( Protect / Detect ) leaving you at the mercy of certain enemies that are dangerous for them. :Jolteon: + :Meowscarada: + :Gardevoir: :Murkrow:

  • Murkow + Annihilape : The team will be in trouble against Trick Room teams. Quash will have an effect but if the PSY land is active it's not ideal. Annihilape doesn't really have a chance to set this up correctly. :Murkrow: :Annihilape:

  • Dudunsparce : Once setup Dudunsparce will be in big trouble against Dark-type Pokémon (Because it will have to teracrystal in PSY) and thus be at the mercy of them and Stored Power will in turn have no effect against Dark Pokémon. :Dudunsparce:

  • Jolteon + Dudunsparce : Pokémon with redirect power will be a real problem for them. Follow Me by Indeedee / Maushold-Four / Rage Powder Amoonguss. Do not start with the Jolteon + Dudunsparce combo if you have Pokémon like those mentioned above but be careful because the opponent can keep them in support behind and Dudunsparce has absolutely no use without the setup with Jolteon. Pokémon with Fake Out can also prevent you from setting up. :Jolteon: :Dudunsparce:

VERY COOL TEAMS

Heya, I have 3 teams that are very unique that I wanna share. These 3 use some unorthodox mons that others wouldn't consider, but I wanted to give them a chance.
----------
https://pokepast.es/90c803faf51097e8
Abomasnow:
Main purpose is to set up Snow and Aurora Veil. Aside from that, not much worth to talk about.

Beartic:
Instead of Cetitan (Lame Pick), I decided for Beartic. It runs Band and max attack Adamant for that juicy firepower, and Tera water for strong liquidation. The 116 speed is to help outspeed Chomp in TW or Snow, while the rest is poured into HP for bulk. EQ and Crunch are coverage moves. EQ is nice because two of the mons are immune to it. The speed can be changed, but its up to preference. Beartic also appreciates the new DEF boost in hail.

Ceruledge:
Torkoal counter. Other then that, not much to say. Has some sweeping capabilities thanks to Bulk Up.

Rotom-W:
Solid mon with solid synergy. It has good offensive and defence capabilities, and that's about it.

Talonflame:
Speed control. Will-o-wisp is given to shut down spooky physical mons like Chomp.

Among Us:
Just a really solid support Pokemon, can never go wrong with it. Helps shut down Dozo.

Summery:
Probably my most "Normal" team. It's not bad, but it's weak to Rock types. Potential leads are Obama + Beartic, Ceru + Among Us, Rotom-W + Literally Everything, Beartic + Talonflame. This shouldn't be too hard to use.
----------
https://pokepast.es/e502b59472313543
Haxorus:
Very cool mon. I chose it over Chomp because of Mold Breaker. It packs a strong punch, but please don't ever use this with Rotom-H. Tera ground eq's devastate almost everything, Dragon Claw is stab, Poison Jab and Crunch serve as coverage.

Rotom-H:
Does what Rotom-W on my last team did. It has excellent synergy with Killowatt though.

Cloyster:
Definitely an oddball pick. Cloyster has Icicle Spear and Drill Run, which cover about every mon. Shell Smash sets up for havoc, while White Herb is used to mitigate the DEF drops. Clear Amulet can also be ran. Tera ground is used to give Drill Run more punch to it.

Hariyama:
Good support, good bulk, good damage, Hariyama is like a Swiss Knife. Wide Guard is used to combat Torkoal's.

Among Us:
Same role as Among Us in the last team.

Killowattrel:
Good synergy with Haxo and Rotom-H and serves as my TW setter. Focus Sash is ran so it doesn't immediately die.

Summery:
This team isn't bad. The mons have good synergy, and it has a surprise factor. Potential leads are Haxo + Killo, Rotom-H + Kilo, Cloy + Hari, Cloy + Among Us. Straightforward team.
----------
https://pokepast.es/cb826fa38cb23f23
Stantler:
One of my main TR setters and is very bulky. Eviolite works on it, it has been tested and I have used it on ladder. Brought against weather teams, which is why I pack Skill Swap with it. This helps regain weather control.

Spiritomb:
The other TR setter. In case the other team is packin Murkrow or some other annoying stuff, I pull out the Tomb. It can't be Prankster taunted, can't be Faked Out, and it's decently bulky. Ally Switch is a useful move in tight spots and helps keep Torkoal healthy, and Destiny Bond is that cream cheese tech nobody expects. Being able to take down a potentially harmful mon when it becomes useless is nice.

Torkoal:
Eruption.

Sunflora:
Fits this team like a glove. It's slow enough to be one of the fastest mons in TR, and strong enough to punch holes. Dozo counters? This is the counter. It OHKO's most common sets under Sun with the power of Vegan Kamehameha- I mean Solar Beam, and it has good coverage. Tera Fire can also be ran.

Garganacl:
Good TR mon, but not commonly brought. Only really used in certain MU's. Salt Cure is still a good move though.

Annihilape:
One of the best support TR teams could've asked for. Instant pressure, and can cripple the opponent depending one which one dies from the very cool (and broken) Final Gambit.

Def my most unique team. It's gimmicky, but it's fun. It works best under BO1's, but you can do whatever you want with it. Potential Leads are Spritiomb + Ape, Stantler + Ape. The back is almost always Torkoal Sunflora. Not the easiest team to use, due to Sunflora positioning, but it's not hard to get the jist of it due to the straightforward gameplan, which is TR Setter + Ape, then Torkoal and Flora in the back.
----------
That's bout it. I'll dump more team's in the future (maybe), and srry about not making it look as good as the other posts above and be more descriptive (they look really good and have much more detail then me), but it'd make this post super long. If anyone uses these teams, that'd make me p proud and happy, and I hope these teams inspire people to try some more mons that are unused. Have a good one, and a holly jolly Christmas!

:Iron Bundle: Merry Christmas to everyone ! I hope you had a great party with your family or friends. We will have a thought of support for all single / sick people. :Iron Bundle:

Today we are going to study a team with a Pokémon that you all know Indeedee-F :Indeedee-F: . If you are told Indeedee-F at the first contribution you will associate it with your team for its support & if I told you that today we are going to make it the one who will massacre the opposing team. Without further ado, let's see how to turn a Support Pokémon into a Hyper Offense monster.

This team was created by a Japanese player named ひしりや ( hisiriya_plus )

Golduck is played Modest / Mystic Water / Swift Swim / Teracrystal Water :Mystic Water:

Hydro Pump will be your main attack but having only 80% accuracy it could be tricky if the opponent dodges.

イエッサン - F (Indeedee-F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Psychic Surge

Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Dazzling Gleam
- Protect

This Indeedee-F set is play Life Orb & Teracrystal Fairy with maximum Speed investment. The goal is to surprise the opponent who will not expect to receive an OHKO from the female Pokémon. But let's sum it all up. :Indeedee-F: :Life Orb:

Indeedee-F: Modest + Max Speed + Life Orb + Psychic Surge + STAB + Fairy Tera + Drifblim Helping Hand = OHKO Hydreigon / OHKO Meowscarada / Massive damage to other Pokémon with PSY Attack.

The rest of its attacks will allow it to hit any type of Pokémon. In the original version it is to play with Imprison but on second thought protect is a much more sensible move with this team.

The Teracrystal Fairy will allow it to negate its weakness to Dark Pokémon and punish them in return with Dazzling Gleam.

Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Def / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tailwind
- Shadow Ball
- Icy Wind
- Helping Hand

Miniature_426_DP.gif
Over the years Drifblim has not changed and its role in VGC remains the same. Place the Tailwind.
Miniature_426_DP.gif

He is playing with the Psychic Seed + Unburden. Drifblim will place the Tailwind / Shadow Ball to take advantage of the STAB / Helping Hand to help Indeedee-F disintegrate the enemy. :Psychic Seed: :Indeedee-F:

Icy Wind is a very interesting attack in this scenario. In VGC 2023 there is a very large number of Murkrow so the idea behind is to Drifblim Tailwind + Murkrow opponent Tailwind also then Driflblim Icy Wind and thus Indeedee-F will be able to Out Speed Pokémon with a base of 85 or more.
Miniature_198_RS.gif

:SV/Armarouge: Armarouge :SV/Armarouge:

グレンアルマ (Armarouge) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Flash Fire

EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Armor Cannon
- Expanding Force
- Psychic
- Wide Guard

:Armarouge: Armarouge here will be playing with the Choice Specs. He is Max Speed / Max SpA. :Choice Specs:

The strategy with Armarouge is to keep him in the background until the KO of Indeedee-F + Drifblim and to bring him in and hit very very hard with Expending Force + PSY Surge. :Armarouge: :Indeedee-F:

Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Close Combat
- Bullet Punch
- Thief

Miniature_212_RS.gif
A classic Scizor set with the Choice Band. :Choice Band:

Miniature_212_RS.gif
If you decide to take him on your team be careful with the PSY Surge & Bullet Punch which will prevent you from attacking because of his priority movement.
Miniature_212_RS.gif

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Differents Battles Options :

PSY Hyper Offense : :Drifblim: + :Indeedee-F: + :Armarouge: + :Scizor:

PSY Hyper Offense + Rain : :Drifblim: + :Indeedee-F: + :Pelipper: + :Golduck:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :
  • :Pelipper: + :Golduck: + :Drifblim: + :Indeedee-F: + :Armarouge: --> None of his Pokémon really have Bulk to resist powerful attacks from the enemy if you can't eliminate the threat on the 1st hit. It's 5 Pokémon are Pokémon that hit the Special so Pokémon that will be resistant to it will be a problem. :Blissey:

  • :Armarouge: + :Scizor: --> It's two Pokémon are equipped with the :Choice Scarf: / :Choice Band: leaving you the choice of only one attack and so you could find yourself blocked against Pokémon like :Meowscarada: if you use Expending Force / :Annihilape: if you use Close Combat. In addition, if the opponent uses Protect, he can easily switch because he knows that you will be blocked because of your item.

  • :Drifblim: + :Indeedee-F: --> If for X reason you can't place the tailwind and get rid of the Trick Room Adverse setter, you could find yourself in trouble because this team is essentially based on speed.

  • :Pelipper: + :Golduck: --> It's two Pokemon suffer from a common weakness to have electricity and since Golduck can't do anything without Pelipper it can be complicated. It will also be necessary to pay attention to the Weather team which will completely cancel the advantages of Golduck.

  • :Armarouge: --> You choose to use Expanding Force and your opponent has Wide Guard, you will be totally blocked.

  • :Pelipper: :Golduck: :Indeedee-F: :Drifblim: :Armarouge: :Scizor: VS :Tyranitar: :Lycanroc: :Rotom-Heat: :Annihilape: :Dondozo: :Tatsugiri: --> The Sand team created by BanVGV (Andrea Olea) is a real hell for this team. Rid of Dondozo will be the hardest thing to do. Here is a potential solution to defeat this team. ( Sand Team )

  • :Tyranitar: + :Lycanroc: VS :Golduck: +:Scizor: | :Dondozo: +:Tatsugiri: VS :Indeedee-F:+:Armarouge: | Even with this combination you will have to be very lucky and avoid Rock Slide flinches & hope to have a critical during the game, especially on Dondozo which is a real armor. :Dondozo:

This team is very useful in Bo1 because it is made to surprise the opponent, be careful if you play it in a room tournament or in Bo3 because your opponent will be able to appropriate your strategy.

Today we are going to study a Team which managed to climb to rank N°5 in the Ladder (~ 1960 / 1970 ) with two Pokémon that we have seen little in VGC but which nevertheless remains very very strong. Without further ado, let's find out how this player achieved this feat and what secrets his team holds.

This team was created by a Japanese player named ピカソ ( pikaso_poke )

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Pawmot: The Team :SV/Pawmot:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Pawmot: Pawmot :SV/Pawmot:

パーモット (Pawmot) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Volt Absorb
Level: 50
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Close Combat
- Revival Blessing
- Nuzzle

Pawmot :Pawmot: is a Pokémon that is beginning to appear in the VGC world thanks to a very useful attack : Revival Blessing which allows a KO Pokémon to come back with 50%. This strategy was mainly used with teams containing Dondozo :Dondozo: who could return to the field and again recover their stats thanks to their comrade Tatsugiri :Tatsugiri: but in this team there is no Dondozo :Dondozo: . Here he will also play this role but to heal a larger selection of Pokémon from our team. :Pawmot:

:Pawmot: Fake Out will be able to break Focus Sash / Scare Pokémon that do not have Protect / Detect. :Pawmot:

Miniature_149_RS.gif
Nuzzle will control the speed of some dangerous Pokémon for Hydreigon & Dragonite.
Miniature_635_NB.gif

:Pawmot: He is playing with the Teracrystal Ghost which will allow him not to be Fake Out and thus keep the strength belt in order to be able to do Revival Blessing. :Pawmot:

:Kingambit: Kingambit will play the role of End Game Sweeper. :Kingambit:

:Kingambit: He is equipped with the Assault Vest :Assault Vest: with the Talent : Supreme Overlord which will increase by 0.1 for each KO ally. :Kingambit:

:Arboliva: Arboliva is played Max HP / Max Defense - Seed Sower - Sitrus Berry - Teracrystal Fire :Sitrus Berry:

:Arboliva: This Pokémon will be very useful VS Physical Pokémon especially against Dondozo. :Dondozo: Once you have it Nuzzle with Pawmot :Pawmot: you will be able to place the Leech Seeds + Giga Drain. Attention this set wall by the Dondozo Substitute. :Dondozo:

Miniature_637_NB.gif
Volcarona is a Pokémon still a little unknown in this format of VGC 2023 but it should not be long in gaining the ranks. He has an interesting move set and can easily punish the Gholdengo :Gholdengo: with Heat Wave.
Miniature_637_NB.gif

Miniature_637_NB.gif
The Teracrystal Grass will allow him to benefit for Giga Drain + Leftovers + Protect.

Hydreigon - Timid - Choice Specs :Choice Specs:

Miniature_635_NB.gif
It has Poison-type Teracrystal which will allow it to Tera Explosion on Grass-type / Fairy-type Pokémon such as Grimmsnarl :Grimmsnarl: which will be OHKO with the Specs choice.

Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 196 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 52 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Giga Impact
- Rock Slide
- Extreme Speed

Miniature_149_RS.gif
Dragonite with the Choice Band :Choice Band: was an extremely popular thing in early VGC but eventually faded out of Teams and here it's updated with a more than overpowered attack.
Miniature_149_RS.gif

Miniature_149_RS.gif
Giga Impact Choice Band :Choice Band: pairing with the Teracrystal Normal will OHKO a huge number of Pokemon. Once the attack is done as you know you will be at the mercy of the opponent so if you ever get knocked out you can use Pawmot's Revival Blessing :Pawmot: and get back on the field and redo Extreme Speed Choice Band to slay the enemy again.
Miniature_149_RS.gif

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Differents Battles Options :

  • Offense : :Kingambit: + :Hydreigon: :Dragonite: :Pawmot: | You can lead with Pawmot and Fake Out, but you run the risk of not being able to revive one of your fallen comrades.

  • Set Up Lead : :Pawmot: + :Volcarona:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :
  • :Kingambit: + :Hydreigon: + :Dragonite: --> These three Pokémon have no means of protecting themselves, leaving them at the mercy of terrible attacks if you cannot get rid of their threat beforehand.
    Miniature_149_RS.gif
    Miniature_635_NB.gif
    :Kingambit:

  • :Dragonite: + :Hydreigon: --> These two Pokémon are equipped with the Choice Band & Choice Specs allowing you only one attack and blocking you on it. You will take your opponent to the grave due to their very powerful attack BUT if the opposing Pokémon uses Cover it will be able to counter your attack.
    Miniature_149_RS.gif
    Miniature_635_NB.gif

  • :Pawmot: :Arboliva: :Volcarona: --> These three Pokémon can find themselves stuck in certain situations because of their defensive Pokémon status, which is why you have to take the time to think about whether you choose them.

Dragapult :Dragapult: can then eradicate the opponent with his attacks.

:Torkoal:Torkoal will be able to activate the sun so that Scorvillain :Scorvillain: remains the fastest on the ground even under Tailwind. :Torkoal:

:Torkoal: Torkoal will play a support role for the team with Yawn / Helping Hand / Protect. :Torkoal:

:SV/Scovillain: Scovillain :SV/Scovillain:

スコヴィラン (Scovillain) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Chlorophyll
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 36 HP / 220 Def / 60 SpA / 4 SpD / 188 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tera Blast
- Flamethrower
- Grass Knot
- Spicy Extract

:Scovillain: This unique Pokémon due to its dual Type has a very strange attack - Spicy Extract : It increases the opponent's attack to +2 & decreases its defense to -2, giving access to a multitude of strategies. :Scovillain:

You can use it on another team member namely Draguapult :Dragapult: . As he has the Clear Body talent which prevents any decrease in statistics but does not prevent the increase in statistics, so Dragapult :Dragapult: will be able to take advantage of the +2 in attack.

Its very specific Speed distribution will allow you with the Choice Scarf :Choice Scarf: of Outspeed Dragapult :Dragapult: with exactly 1 more speed.

You can also boost your opponent in attack while lowering his defense but as we have Meowscarada :Meowscarada: & Grafaiai :Grafaiai: with Foul Play it will be difficult for you to do a huge amount of damage to them especially with your Meowscarada :Meowscarada: Choice Band. :Choice Band:

:Scovillain: The Teracrystal Fairy which allows it to hit Dragon-type Pokémon. :Scovillain:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Differents Team Options :

Fast Dragapult Set Up : :Scovillain: + :Dragapult: + :Grafaiai: + ( One of 3 Pokémon )

Slow Dragapult Set Up ( VS Dondozo Team ) : :Scovillain: + :Grafaiai: + :Dragapult: + :Meowscarada:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :
Team --> The whole team is quite frail and won't resist a violent attack from Pokémon Hyper Offense.

:Rotom-Wash: + :Meowscarada: + :Scovillain: --> They all have an Item Choice leaving you only one possible attack and you could find yourself trapped and at the mercy of your opponent who can take advantage of the situation. :Rotom-Wash: :Meowscarada: :Scovillain:

:Dragapult: --> Even at +2 in attack Dragon Darts will not do enormous damage because it will attack the Pokémon from the left then from the right, thus dividing its attack power. If you fail to set up Dragapult it will unfortunately do no damage so be very careful. :Dragapult:

:Scovillain: --> Scovillain is the only Fast Pokémon on the team thanks to his Choice Scarf :Choice Scarf: & the Sun of Torkoal but the rest of the team will stay on a normal speed plan so you might find yourself struggling against teams with Tailwind/Trick Room. :Scovillain:

:Floatzel: Today we are going to study a team that will take us back in time through several generations. Back to the good old classic of RBY - ADV - DPP - XY | For the most part you have never known its Pokémon on console in their original games, which is why today we are going to remedy that. :Floatzel:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Differents Option Team :

Offense Rain : :Pelipper: + :Floatzel: + :Garchomp: + :Magnezone:

Balance / Trick Room : :Klefki: + :Arcanine: + ( 2 / 4 depending on the opposing team )

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :

  • :Floatzel: --> He has no Bulk and the slightest attack will surely be fatal to him, moreover he does not have Protect. Your option will remain to eliminate the threat before it does it with you but be careful because your target can do protect & its ally can attack you. Water Pokémon in general will be hell to eliminate and apart from Magnezone :Magnezone: which can manage them with its Electric attacks, the team will nevertheless be in very great difficulty against Gastrodon. :Gastrodon:

  • :Garchomp: --> As it is Choice Band :Choice Band: it will be blocked on a single attack thus leaving you at the mercy of your enemy. If you're using Earthquake and your opponent has Wide Guard, you're in trouble. Garchomp :Garchomp: is Adamant so he will get Outspeeded by Full Speed Pokemon and due to his low defensive investment you would get OHKO.

  • :Pelipper: + :Floatzel: + :Klefki: --> Tailwind / Trick Room setters will be a problem. As Floatzel :Floatzel: is Adamant he will not be able to Outspeed Tailwind / Maushold-Four :Maushold-Four: . Klefki :Klefki: can handle this with Thunder Wave or in the worst case place the Trick Room but it will force you to set up and bring Klefki :Klefki: back at the expense of another Pokémon that might be more useful to the team.

  • :Floatzel: + :Garchomp: + :Magnezone: --> These 3 Pokémon will be your answer on the Hyper Offense plan but due to their lack of investment in defense they will not be able to stay on the field for long and will have to do as much damage as possible as quickly as possible.

:Tatsugiri: Today we are going to study a rather special team of which you are certainly not ready For ! With Unpublished sets we are going to revisit a legendary DUO you all knew and yet you did not know this form. :Dondozo:

This team is probably the best team we have studied because hang in there, the player managed to get with two accounts the equivalent of level 2000 on Pokemon Showdown!!!! ( On Console = Rank 1 | 2nd account = Rank 2 )

:Arcanine: This team was created by a Chinese player named shulivgc :Dragonite:

EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Tatsugiri :Tatsugiri: is equipped with the Choice Scarf :Choice Scarf: and will be able to help his comrades with speed with Icy Wind. :Tatsugiri:

:Tatsugiri: Reducing the speed will not be without difficulty for Dragonite :Dragonite: / Gholdengo :Gholdengo: / Arcanine :Arcanine: which do not have a very high speed and which will be Out Speed by other much faster. :Tatsugiri:

:Tatsugiri: It also has a nice special attack base (120) which is not negligible at all and can do a lot of damage. :Tatsugiri:

:Dondozo: Dondozo will use Wave Crash and can kill the opponent slowly while regaining his energy with the Leftovers. :Leftovers:

:Dondozo: Dondozo will be able to put enormous mental pressure and achieve one of the best sleight of hand. The opponent will bring Murkrow :Murkrow: back to do Haze and negate the stat boost but since Tatsugiri :Tatsugiri: is Storm Drain, Dondozo :Dondozo: can do Yawn on the Pokemon alongside Murkrow. :Murkrow:

:Dondozo: F i s s u r e is an attack that you can use to get rid of the other Dondozo :Dondozo: / Annihilape Bulk Up :Annihilape: or if you have nothing else to play on a misunderstanding. ^^' :Dondozo:

As a corollary, the accuracy of the ability depends on the level of the caster and that of the target according to the following formula :

Accuracy = ( Caster Level - Target Level + 30% )

:Dondozo: F i s s u r e ignores any accuracy changes and dodges on both sides. :Dondozo:

Differents Battle Options :
:Tatsugiri: + ( Anyone is fine because the creator made every Pokémon useful with Tatsugiri so it really depends on the opposing team )

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :

  • If you read this your opponent can do it too. The problem you will encounter is that as you have found this team here your opponent can also read the sets / The strategy and adapt to the Team thus breaking the surprise effect of DUO Tatsugiri / Dondozo. :Tatsugiri: :Dondozo:

  • :Tatsugiri: + :Gholdengo: --> As they are item choices ( :Choice Scarf: ) + ( :Choice Specs: ) be careful not to find yourself blocked on an attack that your opponent could take advantage of. :Tatsugiri: :Gholdengo:

  • :Meowscarada: + :Arcanine: --> They have no bulk so you have to quickly eliminate the threat before you get knocked out. An eye for an eye.

Today we are going to study a team that is a bit special and random at the first contribution but which holds many surprises and secrets.

Probably one of the most difficult teams to play and take control of because of its many rather complex sets so I will recall it roughly at the end of this presentation but I only recommend this team to level 1700+ players.

This team was created by an American player named JmoneyVGC

Miniature_576_NB.gif
His Teracrystal Dark is very useful to him for two reasons :

Miniature_576_NB.gif
1 - It erases its weakness to Ghost type Pokemon + Dark / Foul Play will also benefit from STAB x2
Miniature_576_NB.gif

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Differents Options Team :

  • :Tinkaton: + :Gallade: | Fake Out + Trick Room :Tinkaton:

  • :Gothitelle: + :Flareon: | Trick Room + Protect - Gust Toxic Orb

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :
  • :Gothitelle: + :Gallade: + :Tinkaton: --> This team could find itself in difficulty in front of other Trick Room which will be able to reverse it. Another threat to his 3 Pokemon are the Ghost Pokemon even with Gothitelle Dark Teracrystal
    Miniature_576_NB.gif
Tinkaton :Tinkaton: won't be able to place the Fake Out to block them.

  • :Tinkaton: --> Unable to place Fake Out if PSY Terrain is active :Tinkaton:

  • :Flareon:--> We will have to act quickly because Flareon's time in the field is counting. The second your strategy is in place, you will have to act very quickly because between the damage of the poison and the recoil of Flare Blitz + the opposing Flareon attacks can only stay for 3 turns at best. Don't waste time and hit as hard as you can each time before Flareon shuts down on its own.... | Pay particular attention to the Meowscarada Sucker Punch :Meowscarada: which will do 75% damage to you.
    Miniature_136_RS.gif

  • :Azumarill: --> Azumarill will be Wall by many Pokemon as it only has Water/Fairy attacks.

Hello!

Today, I want to present my team I used to achieve the Masterball rank on cartridge. With success, I should say. The team is mainly centred around Armarouge and features an almost full Trick Room archetype. You can find a pokepaste to his team here:

Below, you will find short set details for each of the featured Pokémon.

:Armarouge: https://pokepast.es/e58397c8e645669a

:Indeedee-F: https://pokepast.es/eb9077c07ac74a18

:Hariyama: https://pokepast.es/1505f8e124fe7d49

:Abomasnow: https://pokepast.es/a2d3ba1536310aa2

:Maushold: https://pokepast.es/c3c0a39067c81c1a

:Tyranitar:https://pokepast.es/a8676a39142b9333

Leads:
1) :Armarouge: + :Indeedee-F: : Most of the time, you are going to lead with this pair to set-up Trick Room very reliably. Tera Ghost Indeedee-F will make it very difficult for the opponent to target Armarouge, outside of spread moves. Similar combos like Maushold's Population Bomb + Armarouge killer or Final Gambit + Armarouge killer won't work here, after all. If you see Mismagius or Misdreavus, prioritize taking them out as they could be running Imprison + Trick Room. Sometimes, you may want to use Trick Room on Indeedee-F while Armarouge clicks Wide Guard if you are facing Snarl Hydreigon.

2) :Maushold: + :Indeedee-F: / :Tyranitar: This is another lead I find myself using quite a lot if I detect potential Trick Room setters or non Ghost Imprison users. Since Maushold exerts a lot of offensive pressure, your opponent will most likely try to take it down as soon as possible, which is where Indeedee-F comes into play. It can redirect damage for Maushold while also offering the chance to set-up Trick Room itself, depending on the situation. There's thus potential for mind-games, especially with Substitute. Maushold + Tyranitar will take out leads consisting of Indeedee-F and Armarouge. So, you no longer have to worry about whether or not Trick Room gets reversed later.

3) :Armarouge: + :Hariyama: Hariyama offers another way to help Armarouge setting up Trick Room. It also takes out Pokémon threatening Armarouge, like Hydreigon, Tyranitar or Kingambit.

In the back:
- Between Armarouge, Hariyama, and Abomasnow, they will make it very difficult for your opponent to take advantage of Terastallizing on Garchomp or Hydreigon. Hariyama reliably takes out all non Tera Poison Hydreigon, and Armarouge can click Expanding Force to cover Tera Poison. Armarouge and Abomasnow work in a similar way to prevent Hydreigon and Garchomp from making progress against you.
- Armarouge, Hariyama + Abomasnow pressure Dondozo very well. If Dondozo turns into Grass or Steel to sponge hits from one of your attackers better, it will take a lot of damage from one of your other Pokémon.
- Hariyama + Abomasnow cover Tera Water or Tera Flying Kingambit, and they also cover Tera Flying Gholdengo. Moreover, Hariyama can click Knock Off against Assault Vest users, making it therefore easier for Abomasnow to take them out with its special moves.

Potential issues:
- Focus Sash Meowscarada can be annoying sometimes, which is why you need to play carefully around it. Sand chip damage as well as spread damage can be useful here. Dazzling Gleam Indeedee-F is a possible idea to break Focus Sash and ease the match-up. Moreover, Dazzling Gleam can force the opponent to Terastallize Hydreigon; this could be especially useful if you play with open team sheet. It's also possible to change Tyranitar's Tera type to ensure Sand and tank Grass moves better. But I like pure Rock for the extra power on Rock moves and the 1.5 SpD boost that you still have.
- Kingambit behind Screens can be scary, especially if it's Assault Vest and has already turned into another type. But I haven't faced this very often so far. Still, one way to handle it would be to preserve Indeedee-F for Follow Me purposes and have a heavy hitter in the back.
- The team isn't easy to navigate for beginners; you need to understand how your opponent's team operates and chose your Pokémon wisely. But the more you play with it, the easier it will be for you to pilot it.

And now, I wish you all a happy new year!

Back again with another team! [https://pokepast.es/4161b7ce8f4c76fb]

Team:

480245-fc9457d5157ca3920edf5b526670b2b0.png

The Red Bull Can (Tauros-Paldea-Fire) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 4 HP / 244 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Raging Bull
- Wild Charge

- Solid damage output and support thanks to Intimidate.

- Fire/Fighting/Electric cover a lot. Raging Bull is added to break through Grimmsnarl and Klefki screens.

- Choice Band increases damage done.

- Standard EV spread. Jolly is used to get the most amount of speed possible.

- Tera Fighting is used to make Close Combat stronger.

scizor.png

The BLADE (Scizor) @ Clear Amulet
Ability: Technician
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Atk / 100 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Thief
- Swords Dance
- Protect

- Good setup sweeper thats only weak to 1 type.

- Thief covers against Gholdengo, Armarouge, and Ceruledge.

- Clear Amulet prevents attack drops from Arcanine Intimidate and Orcirico Feather Dance

- EV spread focusses on making Scizor as bulky as it can be. Tera Steel 156 Atk is enough to OHKO Sylveon that don't Tera, and this spread helps Scizor tank a Skeldirge Torch Song while in Tera.

- Tera Steel is a offensive option that makes Scizor make Bullet Punch stronger while making it's 4x weakness to Fire a 2x weakness.

magnezone.png

The Genius (Magnezone) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Analytic
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Ice
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 134 SpA / 82 SpD / 36 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Tera Blast
- Volt Switch

- Powerful but underused Pokemon. Tera removes it's only weakness.

- Tera Blast Ice provides coverage while Volt Switch is used for pivoting.

- Choice Specs makes Magnezone get another boost alongside Analytic.

- This EV spread focuses on making Magnezone a bulky attacker. 36 Spe helps Magnezone outspeed Garchomp in Tailwind and OHKO it with Tera Blast Ice, 134 SpA helps Magnezone OHKO Gholdengo with an Analytic boost, and the rest is poured into HP and SpD for bulk.

- Tera Ice is used to make Ground moves neutral and to OHKO Garchomp.

rotom-wash.png

The Clapper (Rotom-Wash) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Levitate
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 252 HP / 100 Def / 44 SpA / 76 SpD / 36 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Protect

- Solid offensive and defensive Pokemon that has good synergy with nearly anything.

- Will-O-Wisp cripples physical attackers.

- Sitrus Berry increases Rotom-W's longevity.

- Standard EV spread most people use. Specializes in bulk.

- Tera Electric is used to remove all of Rotom-W's weaknesses, making no type hit it super effectively.

salamence.png

The Kaiju (Salamence) @ Haban Berry
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 244 HP / 4 Def / 4 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Heat Wave
- Helping Hand
- Tailwind

- Salamence is a powerful support Pokemon with strong attacks.

- Helping Hand and Tailwind help Scizor and Magnezone who are rather slow and sometimes need a boost to OHKO some Pokemon, and Heat Wave covers against Steel types.

- Haban Berry is used to help beat Garchomp and Hydreigon when not in Tera.

- Standard EV spread that focuses on making Salamence a bulky support mon. Thanks to it's already sheer power, it only needs 4 SpA to demolish Hydreigon and Garchomp.

- Tera Fire is used to make Salamence resist Ice moves and make it's Heat Wave stronger.

grimmsnarl.png

The Shelf Elf (Grimmsnarl) @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 244 HP / 4 Atk / 156 Def / 68 SpD / 36 Spe
Careful Nature
- Spirit Break
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Thunder Wave

- Grimmsnarl is a great support Pokemon thanks to Duel Screens.

- Thunder Wave helps cripple Pokemon.

- Light Clay helps increases the longevity of screens.

- This EV spread focuses making Grimmsnarl a bulky support Pokemon. The HP and Def investment help Grimmsnarl live a Life Orb Kingambit Iron Head, the 36 Spe helps Grimmsnarl outspeed Garchomp in Tailwind, and the rest is put into SpD with 4 in Atk.

- - - - -

Leads:

1)
Tauros + Grimmsnarl
2) Magnezone + Grimmsnarl/Salamence
3) Magnezone + Rotom-W
4) Rotom-W + Grimmsnarl
5) Scizor + Grimmsnarl/Salamence

- - - - -

Weaknesses:

1)
Prankster Taunt stopping Salamence Tailwind, which can put the opponent in an advantageous situation.
2) Scizor can be walled by some Pokemon since it can't fit all the moves it wants to cover against the metagame.
3) Magnezone easily dies to Garchomp if it doesn't have Tera or screens up.
4) Trick Room Pokemon such as Hariyama underspeed Scizor and Magnezone and can do big damage if Reflect isn't up.
5) Opposing Grimmsnarl and Klefki can be very annoying, since they can reduce damage done with screens
6) 2 Pokemon have Choice items and only 2 have Protect, so a good opponent can take advantage of that.

- - - - -

HF with the team, if you use it.

Today we're going to be off to a great start for our return to studying the 1st Team Rank 1 of 2023 using an all-new combo from a Pokémon you all know for his unique attack but who is it ? Let's find out together without further ado. :Maushold-Four:

A fairly standard Murkrow defensive set
Miniature_198_RS.gif

Miniature_198_RS.gif
It has Quash which can be useful for several reasons
Miniature_198_RS.gif

:Garchomp: / :Hydreigon: / :Annihilape: have no investment in speed this will allow you to take advantage of it if you do not have the Tailwind active or if you face Trick Room teams.

:SV/Annihilape: Annihilape :SV/Annihilape:

Annihilape @ Leftovers
Ability: Defiant
Level: 50
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 220 HP / 92 Def / 196 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Rage Fist
- Protect

:Annihilape: The most special Annihilape set we've seen so far. :Annihilape:

:Annihilape: He is very Bulky with an Adamant nature but without any EVs in attack. Thanks to the Beat Up combo he will become very powerful and thanks to his distribution in defense he will be able to stay longer on the field. :Annihilape:

:Annihilape: In addition he will be under the protection of Friend Guard + Leftovers :Leftovers: + Drain Punch you can easily recover your energy.
:Annihilape:

:Annihilape: It has the Teracrystal Steel allowing you to protect yourself from Fairy / Flying / PSY Pokémon and in particular from Tyranitar :Tyranitar: Tera Flying. :Annihilape:

:DP/Garchomp: Garchomp :DP/Garchomp:

Garchomp @ Life Orb
Ability: Rough Skin
Level: 50
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Protect

Miniature_445_DP.gif

Miniature_445_DP.gif

Miniature_445_DP.gif
The idea is that since we have Tailwind with Murkrow :Murkrow: it is better to have EVs in HP to stay longer in the field.
Miniature_445_DP.gif

Miniature_445_DP.gif
Dragon Claw + Earthquake STAB + Rock Slide will be more beneficial to the team than:Garchomp: classic sets with Sword Dance.

:SV/Maushold-Four: Maushold-Four :SV/Maushold-Four:

Maushold-Four @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Friend Guard
Level: 50
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 140 Def / 116 SpD
Calm Nature
- Follow Me
- Baby-Doll Eyes
- Beat Up
- Protect

:Maushold-Four: Maushold-Four :Maushold-Four: here is playing in a totally different way from what we have seen because it is totally set of support to be able to set up the Annihilape Strat. :Annihilape:

:Maushold-Four: He has the Safety Goggles / Friend Guard / Teracrystal Ghost / Beat Up. :Maushold-Four:

:Maushold-Four: The strategy is to Lead with Annihilape :Annihilape: + Maushold-Four :Maushold-Four: and Beat Up on Annihilape. :Annihilape: Beat Up will hit the target at the number of active Pokémon in the team 4 / 4 as you use it from the start. :Maushold-Four:

:Maushold-Four: Friend Guard will allow you to reduce the damage received by 25%. :Maushold-Four:

:Maushold-Four: Teracrystal Ghost will be able to counter Fake Out / Close Combat / Drain Punch ensuring you are 99% able to set up the Annihilape Strat. :Maushold-Four:

:Maushold-Four: Baby-Doll Eyes is a +1 priority attack ensuring to lower the opponent's attack. :Maushold-Four:

:Maushold-Four:Mathematical ::Annihilape:

:Maushold-Four: Beat Up's power is based on the caster's Base Attack divided by 10. Beat Up deals a number of hits equal to the number of status-free Pokemon on the team. :Maushold-Four:

:Maushold-Four: [ Nature Calm ( +SpD ; -Atk ) ] ( 0 IV = 72 ) | 72 / 10 = 7.2 - 25% = Beat Up - 1.8 Power :Annihilape:

Gholdengo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Good as Gold
Level: 50
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Make It Rain
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam

:Gholdengo: A set Choice Specs Gholdengo :Choice Specs:

:Gholdengo: A varied move set allowing you to hit any type of Pokémon but you will only use Make It Rain / Shadow Ball STAB :Gholdengo:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Differents Option Team :
  • Annihilape + Maushold-Four | Beat Up Strat :Annihilape: :Maushold-Four:

  • Murkrow + Garchomp / Gholdengo | Hyper Offense Lead :Murkrow: + :Garchomp: /:Gholdengo:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :

  • The Team --> As the team is slow it may find itself in difficulty VS Team Speed. Let's take the example of a team that we have studied the team Rain ( Rain ) | Pelipper :Pelipper: Tailwind + Golduck :Golduck: Offense Rain Surf with Helping Hand support from Pelipper = OHKO Everything... :Pelipper: :Golduck:

  • :Annihilape: + :Maushold-Four: --> You must pay attention to the Pokémon that can cause you a status problem such as Burn which will completely block the strategy because you will want to Follow Me and not Beat Up. :Annihilape: :Maushold-Four:

  • :Garchomp: + :Hydreigon: --> As you have no speed investment you will be Outspeed without Murkrow :Murkrow: Tailwind so be careful. :Garchomp: :Hydreigon:

  • :Garchomp: + :Gholdengo: --> One of the biggest threat of the team is Wide Guard Armarouge :Armarouge: which can block you if you use Earthquake / Make It Rain and it can activate the Trick Room and do serious damage to you behind. :Garchomp: :Gholdengo:

  • :Annihilape: --> Since he has no EVs on attack you won't necessarily be able to OHKO the enemy. :Annihilape:

:Houndstone: Impish Max Def (252) + Black Belt :Black Belt:+ Tera Fighting = OHKO Hydreigon :Hydreigon:

:Houndstone: You can use it at the start of the match with Will-O-Wisp or at the end of the match and take advantage of Last Respects which will give you a 50 boost per team member KO (100 / 150 power) :Houndstone:

:Houndstone: Helping Hand can be used with Tyranitar set Up :Tyranitar:

Sprite_308_chromatique_E.gif

チャーレム (Medicham) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Pure Power
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 52 Def / 204 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Fake Out
- High Jump Kick
- Skill Swap

Miniature_308_RS.gif
Even if at the 1st contribution Medicham :Medicham: has weak statistics it is nevertheless very useful for our strategy.
Miniature_308_RS.gif

Miniature_308_RS.gif
It has Trick Room / Fake Out / Skill Swap which allows it to give its talent to its allies and as its talent is Pure Power the Pokémon's attack is doubled.
Miniature_308_RS.gif

Miniature_308_RS.gif
The strategy is allied with Tyranitar. :Tyranitar: As Medicham :Medicham: is min speed once under Trick Room he can use Skill Swap first and Tyranitar :Tyranitar: has very specific IVs ( 22IVs Speed ) which will allow him to attack just after Medicham. :Medicham:

Miniature_308_RS.gif
As Medicham :Medicham: is a little-known Pokémon in VGC 2023, this may surprise the opponent who will not be able to see your strategy coming.
Miniature_308_RS.gif

Miniature_308_RS.gif
He will also exert great pressure with Fake Out + Trick Room and give the full powers of Rock Slide Tyranitar. :Tyranitar:

Miniature_308_RS.gif
He possesses the Teracrystal Dark which will allow him to block Murkrow :Murkrow: Prankster Taunt with his new type Dark.
Miniature_308_RS.gif

Miniature_308_RS.gif
Of course, you can use this strategy for other team members.

This strategy will allow you to get a 35% dodge rate under the Sand. You have Substitute to stay in the field for a very long time.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Differents Option Team :

:Medicham: + :Meowscarada:| Trick Room + Fake Out + Skill Swap + Offense

:Medicham: + :Tyranitar:| Trick Room Set Up Skill Swap + Hyper Offense Tyranitar

:Tyranitar: + :Houndstone: | Sand Offense + Will-O- Wisp

:Meowscarada: + ( All Other 5 ) | Trick Room / Offense

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :

Team ( No :Gholdengo: ) : Your team is basically based on the Physics Pokémon plan so you might find yourself in trouble against Earthworm for example. Pokémon Stall Def + Will-O-Wisp + Reflect + Intimidate + Attacks that will lower your attack level on the physical plane will be a big deal. So you will have to pay attention to Gholdengo because it will be your map of the Labyrinth to get out of it. :Gholdengo:

:Meowscarada: + :Medicham: Lead : This lead is quite dangerous because your main attacker will be in the back of the team so it will sometimes be dangerous to switch because meowscarada will not be able to handle the opponent or may be useful later in the game. :Meowscarada:

:Medicham: Fake Out : Medicham will be there to set up the setup for the other Pokémon but Pokémon that are not afraid of Fake Out like Ghost / Tera Ghost / Talent Pokémon like Tsarenna - Farigiraf - Indeedee will be a problem for you so you will have to pay attention to all of this if you choose to lead with Medicham. :Medicham:

:Gholdengo:
: He doesn't have much special attack without his Nasty Plot set up so you had to be careful to have time to set up. :Gholdengo:

:Tyranitar:
+ :Garchomp: : He has many weaknesses and Tyranitar's Tera Rock won't save him in terms of base weakness either so be careful. :Tyranitar:

:Tatsugiri-Stretchy: Tatsugiri-Stretchy Choice Scarf :Choice Scarf: is a much stronger Pokemon than it looks. :Tatsugiri-Stretchy:

:Tatsugiri-Stretchy:It is not only useful to Dondozo for the Set Up :Dondozo: but if you pay attention to its base special attack level which amounts to 120, this Pokémon is capable of overcoming a big threat or at least help his companions finish the job by inflicting heavy damage on the opponent. :Tatsugiri-Stretchy:

:Tatsugiri-Stretchy:Do not focus only on the DUO Tatsugiri / Dondozo :Tatsugiri-Stretchy: / :Dondozo: because Tatsugiri can be useful individually. :Tatsugiri-Stretchy:

:Dondozo: Unlike the other Dondozo :Dondozo: , His ally Tatsugiri-Stretchy :Tatsugiri-Stretchy:will give him a speed boost with Order Up. :Dondozo:

:Dondozo:Once this speed boost is active, Dondozo :Dondozo:will become the snowball that will take everyone in its path even if the opponent sets up the Tailwind. :Dondozo:

:Dondozo:Dondozo's set is Hyper Offense with Order Up Dragon booster by the Teracrystal Dragon which will negate his Grass / Electric type weakness. :Dondozo:

:Dondozo:Once Substitute in place, Dondozo :Dondozo:will be protected from Amoonguss Clear Smog :Amoonguss: and will become a very difficult enemy to eliminate. :Dondozo:

:SV/Meowscarada: Meowscarada :SV/Meowscarada:

:Meowscarada: A classic Meowscarada set... almost classic... :Meowscarada:

:Meowscarada: Meowscarada has the Toxic Spikes which will allow him to poison the Dondozo. :Dondozo:

:Meowscarada: Once poisoned he will not be able to stay indefinitely on the ground even hide behind a substitute and who will run Dondozo Lum Berry :Dondozo: :Lum Berry: (For the moment it is unheard of). :Meowscarada:

:Meowscarada: The rest is classic - Meowscarada is Jolly Max Speed. :Meowscarada:

Volcarona - Rocky Helmet - Flame Body :Rocky Helmet:

Miniature_637_NB.gif
The nightmare of Pokémon Physics here it is. In addition to being punished for physically attacking Volcarona
Miniature_637_NB.gif
, they will take damage from the Rocky Helmet + 30% chance of getting burned.
Miniature_637_NB.gif

Miniature_637_NB.gif
So now imagine the board and do some maths :
Miniature_637_NB.gif

:Maushold-Four: Maushold-Four ( 4HP EVs ) - Population Bomb = 150 HP / 6 ( Rocky Helmet 1/6 Max HP of the Pokémon ) = - 25 HP per Hit = 25 HP x 10 = 250 HP = OHKO + 30% Chance to burn x 10 Hits = 300% chance to burn !
Miniature_637_NB.gif

:Maushold-Four: Maushold-Four ( 252HP EVs ) - Population Bomb = 181 HP / 6 ( Rocky Helmet 1/6 Max HP of the Pokemon ) = - 30 HP per Hit = 30 HP x 10 = 300 HP = OHKO + 30% Chance to burn x 10 Hits = 300% chance to burn !
Miniature_637_NB.gif

Miniature_637_NB.gif
Overheat even without a lot of SpA investment will allow you to do a lot of damage and mainly against Gholdengo. :Gholdengo:

:SV/Baxcalibur: Baxcalibur :SV/Baxcalibur:

セグレイブ (Baxcalibur) @ Dragon Fang
Ability: Thermal Exchange
Level: 50
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Glaive Rush
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Protect

:Baxcalibur: Baxcalibur - Dragon Fang :Dragon Fang:

:Dragon Fang: Dragon Fang - Glaive Rush is an incredible combo that will knock down all dragon-type and other-type Pokémon in its path. :Baxcalibur:

:Baxcalibur: Baxcalibur has a double type that does not benefit him or the choice of Teracrystal Steel which will disable his weaknesses to the Dragon - Fairy - Rock - Steel type. :Baxcalibur:

:Baxcalibur: Little investment in speed but its goal is to stay on the ground and hit the opponent very hard with its incredible attack base of 145 and its 244 HP EVs. :Baxcalibur:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Differents Options Team :

  • :Volcarona: + :Meowscarada: / :Gholdengo: / :Baxcalibur: ( Lead )

  • :Meowscarada: ( Lead VS Dondozo Team With Toxic Spikes )

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :

  • :Tatsugiri-Stretchy: + :Dondozo: : Having Haze/Clear Smog won't stop good players from making a killing with the Tatsugiri-Stretchy: / :Dondozo: team.

  • :Dondozo: : You must be careful of the Hydreigon Teracrystal Fairy :Hydreigon: who will wall you if you choose Teracrystal in Dragon. :Dondozo:

  • :Dondozo:: Beware of the following things if you play with Dondozo : Reflect / Will-o-Wisp / Toxic Spikes / Requiem / Fake Out Cycle / Clear Smog / Haze / Intimidation / Move which will lower your attack level. :Dondozo:

  • :Gholdengo: : Gholdengo is a fairly predictable Pokémon that will usually be there for Make It Rain /Shadow Ball so your opponent can parry that with Wide Guard. Be careful not to get OHKO due to his 4 EVs investment in Bulk. :Gholdengo:

  • :Volcarona: : Be careful if you play this Pokémon because once the overheat is done you will take a risk to switch it. He may also have a passive role so again be careful of when/how to play him. :Volcarona:

  • :Meowscarada: : Even if it is Focus Sash, Pokémon like Annihilape :Annihilape: U-Turn + the allied Pokémon will be able to eliminate Meowscarada in a single hit. :Meowscarada:

  • :Baxcalibur: : Even if you choose to Tera Baxcalibur it will still be at the mercy of Fighting type Pokémon / Attack. :Baxcalibur:

:Mimikyu: Today we are going to take a look at the team that won the San Diego Regional Championships. This tournament was the first ever major US tournament since the release of Scarlet/Violet. :Mimikyu:

:Garganacl: This team was created by a Korean player named MeLuCaVGC. :Garganacl:

:Meowscarada: * Exceptionally, I will copy you the explanations of the creator who himself presents his team in writing. I will bring the animations of the mini Pokémon / The damage calculations presented in an official way via the damage calculator / the Pokepast with the Japanese names. :Meowscarada:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Mimikyu: The Team :SV/Garganacl:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Baxcalibur: Baxcalibur :SV/Baxcalibur:

セグレイブ (Baxcalibur) @ Loaded Dice
Ability: Thermal Exchange
Level: 50
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 196 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 52 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Icicle Spear
- Glaive Rush
- Ice Shard
- Protect

:Baxcalibur: I gave up on Fire Tera Blast because an offensive Terastalization from a slow Pokemon did not feel ideal for an open sheet format. For I would have only one chance at best. :Baxcalibur:

:Baxcalibur: However, I still needed a way to use it for Murkrow + Gholdengo matchups, so I decided to run some sort of defensive Tera + Loaded Dice Icicle Spear. :Murkrow: :Gholdengo:

:Baxcalibur: I considered Steel and Water as the final candidates, and I settled on Water in the end. :Baxcalibur:

:Baxcalibur: For, firstly, Steel was a type that is easy to get sniped in an open sheet format. :Baxcalibur:

:Baxcalibur: Secondly, I did not have enough Tera Shards for both Gholdengo and Baxcalibur. :Baxcalibur:

:SV/Garganacl: Garganacl :SV/Garganacl:

キョジオーン (Garganacl) @ Leftovers
Ability: Purifying Salt
Level: 50
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 HP / 60 Def / 196 SpD
Careful Nature
- Wide Guard
- Salt Cure
- Recover
- Protect

:Garganacl: The MVP of the team, Coalossal-Paldean Form. I think one interesting fact to note here is that Garganacl’s Korean name is literally Colo-salt. :Coalossal:

:Garganacl: I kept running Flying Tera on Garganacl, but it had a crucial weakness. It could not deal with Electric type Pokemons, and Eelectric type Pokemons were often included in Bulk-based teams against which I would like to bring Garganacl. However, I had no idea how I was supposed to solve this problem. :Garganacl:

:Garganacl: Then, suddenly, while trying to come up with a solution for Toxic Spikes from Glimmora :Glimmora: and Meowscarada. :Meowscarada: I came up with the idea of a Poison Tera Garganacl. :Garganacl:

:Garganacl: Initially, when I said to Wonseok Jang “hey, maybe I can switch Poison Garganacl in and out to remove those Toxic Spikes,” it was almost a joke. But then I realized that in fact, Poison was a perfect defensive Tera for Garganacl. :Garganacl: It resists Grass and Fighting so does the Flying, but in addition to that, it is not weak against Ice and Electric. If Water is a great defensive Tera because it has only 2 weaknesses, Poison, also with only 2 weaknesses, should be a good defensive Tera ! :Garganacl:

:Garganacl: Of course, even with all these thoughts, I had some doubts about the Poison Tera because I have not seen Poison Tera from any Pokemon ever since I started playing Scarlet and Violet VGC. It was Wonseok Jang who calmed me down by saying, “if it is the conclusion from your own experiences, you should go for it.” The result was more than perfect, as many people should have witnessed via the streamed matches. :Garganacl:

:SV/Gholdengo: Gholdengo :SV/Gholdengo:

サーフゴー (Gholdengo) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Good as Gold
Level: 50

Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Power Gem

:Gholdengo: Gholdengo is playing Choice Specs with a lot of bulk. :Choice Specs:

:Gholdengo: I arrived at this set while searching for a general solution to Dondozo matchups. :Dondozo:

:Gholdengo: I was mainly inspired by the realization that the old versions of the team literally
have no way of dealing with Toxic Spikes Meowscarada :Meowscarada: with which Naoto Mizobuchi finished 1st on the Ranked Battle. ( Team Of Naoto Mizobuchi ) :Meowscarada:

:Gholdengo: I tried to write how it deals with Dondozo :Dondozo: matchups here, but I could not do it justice with only Gholdengo’s details in hand.

:Gholdengo: Therefore, I will talk about it later
once all the necessary pieces are introduced. :Gholdengo:

:Gholdengo: Regarding the move choices, I chose Power Gem to pressure Volcaronas which were increasing in number in Ranked Battles. :Volcarona:

:Gholdengo: I chose Focus Blast as an option that
can scare my opponents’ Kingambits in an open sheet format so that spamming Make It Rain would become easier. :Kingambit:

:SV/Meowscarada: Meowscarada :SV/Meowscarada:

マスカーニャ (Meowscarada) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Overgrow
Level: 50
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flower Trick
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Protect

:Meowscarada: At some point, I tested Jolly, but I sensed the decreasing number of offensive Mausholds :Maushold-Four: and Gengars, :Gengar: so there was no reason remaining for running Jolly. :Meowscarada:

:Meowscarada: Nothing much to say about this Pokemon, just the reincarnation of Rillaboom :Rillaboom: and Urshifu, :Urshifu: the King of Series 1. :Meowscarada:

:SV/Mimikyu: Mimikyu :SV/Mimikyu:

ミミッキュ (Mimikyu) @ Life Orb

Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shadow Claw
- Play Rough
- Shadow Sneak
- Protect

:Mimikyu: Similar to Meowscarada, :Meowscarada: a kind of self-explanatory role, the budget Flutter Mane (but on the point that it is a budget Flutter Mane, I do not think that exactly is the case because Flutter Mane neither has the survivability of Disguise nor a strong Priority Move). :Mimikyu:

パルデアのケンタロス - 湖の怪物 (Tauros-Paldea-Water) @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 244 HP / 28 Atk / 68 Def / 12 SpD / 156 Spe
Impish Nature
- Wave Crash
- Close Combat
- Aqua Jet
- Protect

:Tauros-Paldea-Water: I was expecting an increased number of Amoongusses :Amoonguss: at the Regionals, so I wanted to give Tauros Safety Goggles. :Safety Goggles:

:Tauros-Paldea-Water: At the same time, I could not give up on its great Physical Bulk, especially for the Meowscarada :Meowscarada: matchup, which I used to cover using a Rindo Berry. :Rindo Berry:

:Tauros-Paldea-Water: Therefore, I decided to lower its Speed and Attack as much as possible and increase its Physical Bulk. :Tauros-Paldea-Water:

:Tauros-Paldea-Water: I also considered lowering the Speed further and increasing its Special Bulk, but I felt the need to outspeed Modest Gholdengos for granted, so I decided not to. :Gholdengo:

:Tauros-Paldea-Water: Regarding the move choice, I ran Wave Crash over Raging Bull because KO-ing a variety of Fire Teras was very important (all of Gholdengo, :Gholdengo: Baxcalibur, :Baxcalibur: Meowscarada, :Meowscarada: and Mimikyu :Mimikyu: induce Fire Teras from my opponents). :Tauros-Paldea-Water:

:Tauros-Paldea-Water: Also, I could deal with slow-paced screen teams with Garganacl :Garganacl: and Mimikyu :Mimikyu: anyways without Ragin Bull. :Tauros-Paldea-Water:

:Tauros-Paldea-Water: I left it as a Water Tera for the same reason; to deal big damage against Fire type Pokemons. :Tauros-Paldea-Water:

:Tauros-Paldea-Water: Maybe another reason was to make my opponents Flower Trick into my Tauros, underestimating its Physical Bulk, and get return KO-ed by Close Combat + Aqua Jet. :Tauros-Paldea-Water:

Opponents during the tournament :

Swiss Round 1 vs Anthony Cornejo OO | :Lycanroc: :Tyranitar: :Tauros-Paldea-Fire: :Farigiraf: :Murkrow: :Gholdengo:

I remember worrying about the Will-O-Wisp on their Tauros and Armor Tail on Farigiraf, but Tauros, Garganacl, and Mimikyu did their job.

Swiss Round 2 vs Matthew Bopp OO | :Sylveon: :Armarouge: :Indeedee: :Murkrow:

I do not remember the last 2 Pokemons because only the first 4 were brought in both games. Garganacl did some Garganacl things again.

Swiss Round 3 vs Rayad Khan OO | :Murkrow: :Gholdengo: :Hydreigon: :Garchomp: :Ceruledge: :Maushold-Four:

Confirming that their Gholdengo was slower than my Mimikyu was very helpful. From then on, I could simply push with my Mimikyu, Baxcalibur, and Meowscarada.

Swiss Round 4 vs Gavin Michaels OO | :Pelipper: :Palafin: :Amoonguss: :Dragonite: :Gholdengo: :Kingambit:

Having a bulky Gholdengo that can take a Shadow Ball from their Scarfed Gholdengo was huge in game 1. For game 2, I went with the Tera Garganacl plan. Winning consecutive Sucker Punch mind games by the end was crucial.

Swiss Round 5 vs Yichun Wu OO | :Gholdengo: :Tauros-Paldea-Fire: :Garchomp: :Hydreigon: :Amoonguss: :Murkrow:

My Gholdengo was faster than their Hyderigon, so I could spam Make It Rain early game while switching Tauros in and out, so that Mimikyu could take care of the endgame.

Swiss Round 6 vs Jourdan Bul-lalayao OO | :Grimmsnarl: :Meowscarada: :Dragonite: :Gholdengo: :Tauros-Paldea-Fire: :Rotom-Wash:

Garganacl did Garganacl things. In fact, my opponent’s team was very similar to one of my friends’ teams with which I had some Bo3 practices, so I already had a blueprint of how I was supposed to play.

Swiss Round 7 vs Emilio Forbes XX | :Glimmora: :Sylveon: :Talonflame: :Meowscarada: :Tatsugiri: :Dondozo:

My first Dondozo encounter of the day. I was thinking that I could deal with the Glimmora with my Gholdengo, but it got OHKO-ed by the Choice Specs’ Glimmora’s Earth Power, and that pretty much decided the set. I felt like I had some moments where I could reverse the game, but Emilio was one step ahead of me every game.

Swiss Round 8 vs Chuppa Cross IV XX | :Gholdengo: :Meowscarada: :Arcanine: :Pawmot: :Dondozo: :Tatsugiri-Stretchy:

Another Dondozo paired with a Meowscarada holding a firepower-boosting item. At this point, I did not have a completed game plan for a non-Sash Meowscarada + Dondozo, so I had no other option but to lose.

Swiss Round 9 vs Nick Navarre OO | :Amoonguss: :Tauros-Paldea-Water: :Pelipper: :Gholdengo: :Kingambit: :Mimikyu:

Garganacl did its best, even dodging a Hydro Pump at the end of the second game, which was very crucial. Also, I was very surprised to see another hyper-fast Gholdengo.

Swiss Round 10 vs Chalkey Horenstein XOO | :Gholdengo: :Sylveon: :Talonflame: :Meowscarada: :Dondozo: :Tatsugiri-Stretchy:

Finally a Sashed Meowscarada + Dondozo team for which I had a completed game plan. Muddy Water caused some troubles in game 1, but I could cover for it in the following games.
Top 32 vs Dawei Si OO | :Sylveon: :Talonflame: :Meowscarada: :Armarouge: :Annihilape: :Maushold-Four:

Dawei’s Annihilape being faster than my Mimikyu could have caused some troubles, but Gholdengo and Garganacl pulled off some crucial survivals and I could secure the set.

Top 16 vs Wolfe Glick OO | :Sylveon: :Meowscarada: :Armarouge: :Annihilape: :Dondozo: :Tatsugiri-Stretchy:

I did as I planned, but a minor change that I made in game 1 was bringing Mimikyu over Tauros to prevent Defiant Rage Fist snowball from the opposing Annihilape. Wolfe’s Tatsugiri being bulkier than I expected could have caused some problems early in game 2, but I could secure the victory in the end game because it lacked firepower.

Top 8 vs James Evans OO | :Abomasnow: :Cetitan: :Tauros-Paldea-Water: :Gothitelle: :Hydreigon: :Rotom-Heat:

My focus was to not get my Garganacl Tricked by the Choice Specs Rotom-Heat and to not give away too much number advantage to my opponent. I made some risky plays about the end of game 2, but it somehow paid off.

Top 4 vs Aaron Brok OO | :Pelipper: :Drednaw: :Farigiraf: :Hariyama: :Kingambit: :Meowscarada:

I was very scared of Trick Room going up, so I lead the most offensive duo of my team, Mimikyu and Gholdengo. Since the Trick Room option was not even brought to game 1, in game 2, I switched to Garganacl mode which was safer against the Rain mode, and it luckily worked out.

Final vs Chuppa Cross IV OXO | :Gholdengo: :Meowscarada: :Arcanine: :Pawmot: :Dondozo: :Tatsugiri-Stretchy:

After the 2 consecutive losses during Swiss Rounds against firepower-boosting item Meowscarada paired with Dondozo, I finally came up with an adjusted gameplan and it worked out. However, since I still was uncertain about some damage calculations, I was forced into situations where I had to make hard reads to reverse the situation. I was lucky enough to get all my coin tosses right.

Miniature_279_RS.gif
Pelipper has the Damp Rock :Damp Rock: which will allow him to rain for 8 turns due to the low presence of Pokémon like Torkoal (Sun) :Torkoal: / Tyranitar (Sand) :Tyranitar: / Abomasnow (Hail). :Abomasnow:

Miniature_279_RS.gif
Its EV distribution makes it a Bulky Pokémon - Unlike its Classic Max SpA + Max Speed - Focus Sash set. :Focus Sash:

Miniature_279_RS.gif
He keeps his two STAB + Wide Guard + Tailwind attacks for speed control.
Miniature_279_RS.gif

Miniature_279_RS.gif
The teracrystal Grass just like Palafin :Palafin-Hero: is there to counter its electrical weakness.
Miniature_279_RS.gif

:Palafin: The teracrystal Grass allows you to get rid of your weakness :Palafin:

:Palafin: Palafin's primary goal is to activate his talent with Flip Turn except you if you face a team with Tailwind in which case you will have to hard switch. :Palafin-Hero:

:Palafin-Hero: He is Adamant/Max Speed to maximize damage and you will have 3 Water-type STAB attacks. :Palafin-Hero:

One of the greatest monsters of Serie 1 - The return of Salamence !
Miniature_373_RS.gif

Miniature_373_RS.gif
Intimidation for attack drop + Tailwind for Speed will put immense pressure from the start of the fight.
Miniature_373_RS.gif

Miniature_373_RS.gif
The Steel teracrystal is GREAT for Salamence which will shield you from Dragon / Fairy / Ice attacks securing you the Tailwind.
Miniature_373_RS.gif

Miniature_373_RS.gif
Modest + Draco Meteor STAB + Hurricane STAB 100% accuracy under rain + Life Orb. :Life Orb:

Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- Protect

:Gholdengo: Gholdengo Max Speed is the new meta because all players who have played Gholdengo :Gholdengo: have played Max Speed with a different item from ours. :Gholdengo:

:Gholdengo: It is invested in HP to tank a Knock Off Meowscarada :Meowscarada: - Nasty Plot + Amoonguss Pollen Puff :Amoonguss: will allow you to stay in the field for a long time and do heavy damage on your way. :Gholdengo:

:Gholdengo: Leftovers :Leftovers: is not the most suitable item for Gholdengo :Gholdengo: but in this team with Intimidation + Tailwind + Pollen Puff the leftovers will pay you off in the long run. :Gholdengo:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Differents Options Team :

  • :Salamence: + :Palafin: + :Pelipper: + ( One other three )

  • :Gholdengo: + :Amoonguss: + :Pelipper: + :Palafin-Hero:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :

:Pelipper: : Other climates may be a problem.
Miniature_279_RS.gif

:Palafin: / :Palafin-Hero: : Having only water type attacks, it will be completely Wall by Gastrodon. :Gastrodon: In addition you must be careful because to activate the Super mode you will have to Switch so your opponent can take you by surprise and take advantage of this obligation to switch. Be careful to Quash Murkrow :Murkrow: who can totaly wall you :Palafin-Hero:

Team : You all have more or less the same weakness and even if you teracrystal you will always face the same weakness ( Salamence
Miniature_373_RS.gif
+ Kingambit :Kingambit: = Fight ) - Palafin :Palafin: + Pelipper
Miniature_279_RS.gif
+ Kingambit :Kingambit: ( If you stay grass tera ) = Fire / Ice / Bug / Flying / Poison. Be careful because this team is not made for Bo3 but more for Bo1 because once you know the sets of your team there is nothing to surprise the opponent.

:Salamence: : Salamence will be susceptible to Ground attack if you have Teracristal Steel.

Strong Pokémon. Weak Pokémon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled trainers should try to win with their favorites.

Its specific Speed distribution (108) will allow you to Outspeed almost any Pokémon in the format under Tailwind
Miniature_149_RS.gif

Miniature_149_RS.gif
His attack set is fairly standard, with the only difference being Outrage. Outrage does not allow you to choose who you will attack but if you have eliminated Fairy Pokémon this attack under Choice Band :Choice Band: will be absolutely devastating.

Miniature_198_RS.gif

Miniature_198_RS.gif

:SV/Flamigo: Flamigo :SV/Flamigo:

カラミンゴ (Flamigo) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Scrappy
Level: 50
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Wide Guard
- Close Combat
- Brave Bird
- Feint

:Flamigo: Wide Guard is very practical to protect yourself from attacks that double hit. :Flamigo:

:Flamigo: Close Combat + Brave Bird will do heavy damage while taking advantage of STAB. :Flamigo:

:Flamigo: Feint will allow Flamigo :Flamigo: to break focus sashes even under protect and leave the field open for Dragapult / Dragonite to eliminate the opposing Pokémon. :Dragapult: :Dragonite:

:Flamigo: Flamigo Close fight will be able to OHKO Gholdengo Tera steel. :Gholdengo:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Differents Options Team :

  • Tailwind - :Murkrow: + ( All other 5 )

  • Hyper Offense Lead : :Flamigo: + :Dragonite: / :Magnezone: / :Dragapult:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :

  • :Dragonite: + :Dragapult: + :Magnezone: - Unlike other teams, this one has Offensive Teracrystals so the Pokémon mentioned will be at the mercy of their usual weakness even if it's teracrystal.

  • :Dragapult: + :Flamigo: - These Pokemon don't have any Bulk so they won't be able to stay on the field very long so you'll have to maximize and favor pulverizing your enemy as quickly as possible.

  • :Murkrow: - He's there to put the Tailwind and change the climate but will find himself in trouble afterwards preventing you from switching safely so be careful if you choose Murkrow's Tailwind Ways.
    Miniature_198_RS.gif

  • :Murkrow: + :Azumarill: + :Flamigo: - These Pokemon are weak to electric attacks so watch out for them.

  • :Flamigo: - If your opponent knows the Wide Guard Flamigo :Flamigo: set he will be able to adapt and eliminate you more easily.

  • :Dragapult: - Even if Dragapult :Dragapult: seems strong on paper, watch out for other dragon-type Pokémon who can trap him using a teracrystal resistant to dragon-type attacks.
