MASSIVE STORY SPOILER
just delete the post, literally says in the OP to not post story shit here.Sorry, put the spoiler tag on
The Stellar Tera Type is the 19th Tera Type that can be found when going through the depths of Area Zero. This Tera Type doesn't change the Pokémon's weaknesses or Resisances but gives a one-time per type per battle boost to moves in standard battle, and constant in Tera Raid Battles.
With this Tera Type, Tera Blast is always super effective against Terastallised Pokémon but lowers the user's Attack and Special Attack.
Edit: Just realized this was only the dex. I thought they had one for everything, but I guess not.Does anyone have a full list of returning Pokemon that are not already present in Scarlet/Violet & DLC1/Home transfers? Trying to find of list of what will be "new to Scarlet/Violet" after the DLC2/Home update drops.
I believe Tera Blast only hits another Pokemon who tera super effectively, and everything else neutrally. It honestly doesn't look too great outside of Contrary Pokemon abusing the stat drop (unless the mechanic bypasses that for balance reasons).stellar tera being exclusively an offensive mechanic to keep other teras in check might just be what the mechanic needed. typeless tera blast better not be a thing though.
Honestly, the most interesting new tool for Lapras is now Icicle Spear. It's had Dragon Dance since forever, but it's never really been able to capitalize on the Speed boost with its physical Ice moves being only Ice Shard and Avalanche. Will Lapras ever be a strong offensive sweeper? Of course not. But its Attack is the same as its Special Attack, and Dragon Dance is now its best setup move.Is Freeze-Dry new for Lapras?
It can be a budget Iron Bundle now.
Besides some new moves on Pokemon already introduced this gen like Psychics getting Psychic Noise or Weavile/Meowscarada getting Triple Axel, there isn't much. You can check the spreadsheetDoes anyone have a list of the most notable movepool changes?
Serebii dropped the truth on Stellar Tera-Type:
Looks way less strong without any type change. It suddently looks like a Terapagos/Serperior-only toy.

Seems kind of meh. Fake Out is more reliable even if it does less damage.
That is how I understand it. Terapagos Stellar will probably be lost in future generations.
Will change when I get the compiled movesets.Besides some new moves on Pokemon already introduced this gen like Psychics getting Psychic Noise or Weavile/Meowscarada getting Triple Axel, there isn't much. You can check the spreadsheet

So Latios got Flip Turn.
But not Lugia.
I believe this may be what you're looking for. It was posted by SciresM on Twitter earlier. Will change when I get the compiled movesets.

Honestly Choice items seem to synergize terribly with Stellar tera. Your moves only get boosted once. If you use Shadow Ball, your Shadow Ball gets the Stellar boost once and you don’t get Stellar boost for all Ghost moves. You do get Stellar boost for Dragon moves, but only once as well.I know stellar tera seems meh and this probably pure copium but if stellar type tera blast only drops stats when hitting super-effectively, does specs pult improve? Gambit can no longer freely switch in and ting takes some welcome extra chip then.
Will Reckless boost it I wonder? (sounds like Electric-type Jump Kick)Honestly, this is probably one of the most exciting parts of the new stuff.
