Feen will wake up one day, look into the mirror, and be unable to shake the feeling that something besides his reflection is staring back at him. Something from beyond the mirror. Frightened, he’ll slowly reach out towards it, but it will not grant his hand passage and he’ll only accomplish smudging the cold, scratched glass.

He’ll see his own expression and realize that this surprised him; that some part of him, for some reason he doesn’t quite understand, expected to be able to pierce the veil.

This part of him — a dying ember of someone he used to be — knows what lays in wait on the other side, but the rest of him has long forgotten. It’s been buried.

Under the disappointment.

The regret.

The alienation.

What he does know is that once he traverses the mirror, there won’t be any going back. But that doesn’t matter. Nothing fucking matters. After all, what is there even to leave behind?

Whatever lays beyond the mirror may not be any better than this, but it can’t be any worse, and it will at least be different.

But how to get there is another question entirely. His obsession will begin to drive him mad. The people around him will become alarmed by his strange fascination with ‘the mirror.’ And no matter how hard he tries, he’ll be unable to pass through to the other side.

In a fit of rage, he’ll ball his fist and strike out at the mirror, covering his bathroom sink in blood, broken glass and broken dreams. Whatever portal that was ever there, will then be shattered forever, along with his psyche.

The tiny shards of glass will suspend in a small pool of blood welling up in the sink, constellating like specks of stardust in the cosmos. As he stares down, he will make out some letters, as if he’s reading the bones. They spell out ‘BO3’.

Pressure Cooker (6) vs (4) Prime Protosynthesizers
SV: Lily vs MachJacob - goooooo lily, my suicunes goat has gotten off to a rocky start to say the least but everyone has lulls, that being said machjacob is hunting for his second rupl win and getting it over someone like Lily would be fantastic momentum for the rest of the season
SV: feen vs LBN - both these guys like to bring nonsense but feen also tends to be a bit more disciplined so I will be bolding him here for consistency's sake
SV: Kate vs Kushalos - i am a big fan of kate, was their manager in rubd and am a big fan of thier work, but kush did just do the dash last week and has a substantial reputation to defend as the protos retain so i think he has the edge this week
SV: FlamPoke vs Stories - if the cookers want to turn their season around itll be predicated on flam continuing to have a good season and although his games the past couple weeks werent exactly the cleanest affairs, he is still undefeated and matchin up vs a stories whose engagement with this tier recently has been nonexistent, i dont see a reason not to bold him
SS: sol vs The Strap - another suicunes player that I will be bolding this week, the strap has been really impressive to me, continuing the good work he did in 2024 he's come out swinging this rupl and i do not expect him to slow down even vs arguably the scariest mu in the pool
SM: entrocefalo vs 691 - total reset from the cookers which is probably the right decision, both these teams have been struggling a lot trying to figure out how to get a win in this slot and i think this will be a big momentum getter for whoever comes out on top, i think 691 is slightly favored just bc he played last week and has a little better support vs entro
ORAS: shiloh vs Xiri - ima keep it a buck its not a good sign to see aldo benching already w3 into the tour, I get he hasn't been so hot so far but you still expect to see the teams manager selfbuy and captain to be on the front lines leading the team, shilohs performance last week wasnt exactly the most impressive thing nor did i think his team was the super sound but the bottom line is he got the job done on command which is so important at this point for the cookers and has built up a lil bit of momentum coming into this week
BW: SBPC vs ninjadog - im ngl this is must win week for ninjadog, i may have bolded him but he's definitely the one under the most pressure to perform here. after his standout performance last year, the 0-2 he has currently just looks borderline nonsensical. meanwhile the cookers are trying out sbpc again as their bw option and ik from personal experience that theyre one of the most dedicated ppl when it comes to learning a tier but im still hesistant if that will be enough to start racking up wins in this slot specifically esp with the nature of bw in general
ADV: mielke vs Msousa - it feels like both these guys are still trying to feel things out right now and honestly im not a big fan of subbing msousa out last week even though the week was over, the experience for him specifically just getting back into the swing of things i thought would be pretty important, as such i think mielke deserves the nod here
Bo3: mncmt vs pdt - pdt has yet to show me anything particularly explosive meanwhile mncmt has played pretty well so far and got blown up last week by his opponents dragon tail MISS of all things so yeah, feel no reason not to bold him here

Rockies' Defiant Payloaders (6) vs (4) Toxic Chains
SV: hjkhj vs xavgb - this is sure to be one of THE highlight games of the week and one i am personally very excited for. it might be surprising to see me bold against stresh but im ngl his teams have not particularly looked super impressive to me which i think will be a big factor if hes playing hjk who is as consistent and as steady a player as they come. i do think a lot of this might just come down to who comes in with a stronger build this week and for that i am giving the nod to hjk
SV: Sabella vs robjr - another highlight matchup for me personally to see two northeast brothers and also uupl teammates duke it out lol. that being said both these guys have had a rough go about things here and have so far, far underperformed what ik they're capable of. i think i will give the nod to sabella just bc of the support here, the toxic chains are in desperate need of a breath of life in the quality of their sv brings and until proven otherwise that just makes me feel like the closer matchups always favor their opps
SV: hi.naming is hard vs Ampha - although i think their sv support is much worse, i think ampha is having a particularly nice season so far, 2-0 at this point in the game vs the opps hes had isnt the MOST impressive thing but it is still a pretty meaningful accomplishment and ive liked the way hes looked in game this year
SV: frankjosh vs tko - mostly a momentum pick, im still not really sure if frankjosh actually likes being on the payloaders and tko had a pretty good showing vs ajna last week even if it didnt end in his favor and he made a couple slip ups in the endgame, namely burning the bro being the big one
SS: BluBirD vs C0nfiden1 0yster - much like the 0yster vs sol mu we saw week 1, he is once again facing one of the faces of ss ru, and i think hes got the juice to get the this week again just like w1. this is a guy hes seen play and played with/vs for a long time so i think he has a feel for the type of stuff blub is liable to bring which gives him a bit of an edge. that being said blub is liable to bring basically anything so i wouldnt be surprised either if he pulls some crazy tech out of left field that flips the game to his advantage
SM: odr vs xXcrossbowXx - another one of the clear favorites in a pool that has started 0-2 the pressure is definitely on for odr to get on the board or else some unpleasant allegations might start surfacing... xbow has had some really strong showings lately though and it does feel bad to bold against him ngl lol
ORAS: Killintime vs EviGaro - in all honestly the payloaders have been floundering in this slot. no rocks week 1 -> loss to evigaro HO week 2 -> playing the INVENTOR of evigaro HO with the type of stuff theyve been bringing, its tough man idk. that being said evi looked out of it last week and kt, while struggling, still isnt the type of guy you can just walk in vs half asleep and accept to steal a win off of, so am expecting a bit more confident of a try from her this week
BW: Yay vs Baddy - beyond the ninjadog chronicles i am still not uber plugged in with bw ru, bw pu
ADV: THE_CHUNGLER vs SEA - TECHNICALLY, if all the rules were to be followed SEA would in that list of old gens goats who are currently 0-2 and i do rate chungler pretty highly even if hes been struggling so i will give him the bold here. its really clutch that amity and sea agreed to that bo3 last week though icl that was a huge momentum builder for them going forward
Bo3: lighthouses vs avarice - diogo has been on an absolute tear recently and avarice has been... crashing out kinda, idk he didn't seem super comfy nor very happy in sv as far as i could tell and now theyre putting him in what is essentially SV still but u have even MORE responsibility so its like i dont have super high confidence rn

Tenacious Technicians (5) vs (5) Party-Crashing Pranksters
SV: DugZa vs Floss - banger matchup, cinema moment, the two SCL managers dukin it out, gaming wise i rate both of these guys pretty close to each other but floss feels perhaps just a bit more locked into ru and his support is higher with both felis and ajna giving him ideas so i like him in this mu
SV: Metallica126 vs Ajna - metallicas my goat, he has been the backbone for so many teams and so many people his building game to me is very impressive rn. that being said ajna bounced back in a tremendous way last week but also still looks like hes trying to get firm footing back into SV and vs metallica, being even a bit shaky in meta knowledge or team construction is not smth you want to see. this one is a toss up though for sure, this might just be the week where ajna shows up and proves that hes really here locked in for the szn
SV: zS vs 3d - 3d has just had an infinitely more impressive season this year, and from what ive heard has really taken seriously his prep and practice for this tour, meanwhile zS has had a couple frankly thrown endgames, w1 not as egregious as w2, and looks about as shaken as ive ever seen him playing a tour like this
SV: fish anemometer vs Mindnight - fish pulled off a great win to bounceback after the hax fest of a w1 game he had so i feel pretty solid giving him the nod here over mindnight who is seeing action for the first time subbing in for passion
SS: OranBerryBlissey10 vs dunoks - its been a tough season for obb so far which is only getting tougher as they match into dunoks this week, as far as experience play and momentum, its all falling dunoks so i really dont see a reason not to give him the nod here
SM: lza vs Finnick Odair - lza's coming out of the gates this season super hot currently 2-0 and leading the sm pack, meanwhile ryan missed his game in week 2. commitment issues were a potential hold up regarding ryans performance this year and stuff like just outright missing your game only two weeks in is not helping that case
ORAS: Real FV13 vs Chaitanya - realfv pulled off a nice win last week but also his team looked maybe a bit shakier to me than the stuff that chait has been loading. not to mention chait being backed by probably the strongest oras core in the tournament really makes me very comfortable giving him the nod
BW: Accel vs Finchinator - this is yet another highlight matchup, both these guys played a ton of bw ru back in the day and have been doing pretty for themselves so far, bw is hard for me to judge so i cant really say more than this is peak lol
ADV: SpoiledBerries vs Amity - amity had that nice win over SEA last week and it shouldve just been that but they decided to BO3 and what happened happened lol. that being said in general i still think id lean berries mostly on the merit ive seen their work up close before and they are very thorough both with their prep and testing, so ill give them the nod
BO3: TheFranklin vs Feliburn - it is what is until its proven that it isnt.
