[OVERVIEW]
Rotom-F is a moderately fast wallbreaker capable of dishing out major damage thanks to its STAB BoltBeam coverage, further supported by its access to Nasty Plot. Additionally, Rotom-Frost has an excellent support movepool, through featuring Will-O-Wisp, Defog, Pain Split, and Trick. Rotom-F is also able to make use of its wonderful offensive typing as a Defogger to threaten common entry hazard setters such as Druddigon and Sandaconda. However, Rotom-F has a limited offensive movepool outside of its STAB moves, which leaves it completely walled by several common Pokemon in the tier like Lanturn and Togedemaru. On top of this, its poor defensive typing, lack of reliable recovery, and susceptibility to Knock Off give Rotom-F severe longevity issues compared to other entry hazard removers such as Tsareena, Charizard, and Whimsicott. Additionally, Vikavolt is much more useful to many teams as an offensive Electric-type pivot thanks to its higher Special Attack, better coverage, and access to Roost.

[SET COMMENTS]
With Nasty Plot and Volt Switch, Rotom-F is capable of wearing down common specially defensive tanks such as Gigalith and Aromatisse. Pain Split is an option to replenish HP and punish switch-ins with high HP stats like Lanturn, which can easily switch into boosted Blizzard. Will-O-Wisp, on the other hand, allows Rotom-F to cripple Togedemaru and Gigalith. Offensive partners such as Archeops and Whimsicott make for fine pairings, as they can offensively check common Fighting-types like Scrafty and Gallade while also helping Rotom-F in wearing down Lanturn and Whimsicott, respectively. Archeops also completes a fantastic VoltTurn core thanks to its ability to pivot on bulky Ground- and Grass-types like Sandaconda, Palossand, and Tangela in order to bring in Rotom-F safely.

[SET COMMENTS]
Pain Split provides Rotom-F with the ability to regain HP while chipping bulkier switch-ins like Lanturn, Gigalith, and Miltank. However, Will-O-Wisp is an option for crippling Steel-types like specially defensive Aggron and Togedemaru. Rotom-Frost partners excellently with Lanturn, as it creates a good VoltTurn core and provides a key Fire-type resistance for Pokemon that threaten Rotom-F like Charizard and Magmortar. Additionally, Lanturn enjoys Rotom-F's ability to offensively check Grass-types like Gourgeist and Trevenant. Other wallbreakers that can take advantage of Gigalith, such as Gourgeist-S and Poliwrath, make for good offensive partners.
