Ribombee is a premier Sticky Web setter thanks to its great Speed, passable Special Attack, and useful movepool and ability to boot. Sticky Web cripples a majority of offensive threats that rely on their Speed to eliminate Ribombee's usual teammates, making it an exceptionally useful lead for very offensive teams. Moonblast is run to hit Mandibuzz hard as well as to OHKO prominent offensive threats like Dragapult, Hydreigon, and Hawlucha. Stun Spore can cripple those that are not threatened by Moonblast, such as Excadrill and Corviknight, which might be looking to keep Sticky Web off the field. Skill Swap allows Ribombee to set Sticky Web against Hatterene and Xatu. U-turn can be used instead to pivot out and bring in one of its teammates to grab momentum while allowing you to preserve Ribombee. Lastly, Quiver Dance gives Ribombee a much larger offensive presence, allowing it to force out Mandibuzz with maximum Special Defense investment and subsequently giving it more opportunities to keep Sticky Web on the field. Focus Sash is used to allow Ribombee to set up Sticky Web even against faster offensive threats, while Shield Dust is very useful because it leaves Ribombee unaffected by Fake Out or Iron Head flinches and Sludge Bomb or Sludge Wave poison, further guaranteeing Sticky Web setup.

Ribombee should only be used on hyper offensive teams that take advantage of Sticky Web. Many setup sweepers and wallbreakers alike, such as Hydreigon and Dracovish, enjoy the fact that the Speed of opposing threats is lowered by Sticky Web, giving them the opportunity to tear through unprepared teams. Because of the importance of Sticky Web to this type of team, Ribombee is generally accompanied by teammates that deter entry hazard removal. Defiant Bisharp dissuades the opponent from using Defog, while Ghost-type Pokemon like Dragapult and Gengar provide protection against Rapid Spin. Since Ditto can copy setup sweepers' boosts and is unaffected by Sticky Web, it is recommended to have countermeasures to it on your team, such as Substitute users and Unburden Hawlucha. Lastly, Cinderace can be problematic because it is able to threaten Ribombee with Pyro Ball and pass Sticky Web to your side of the field with Court Change, so having teammates that can take on Cinderace, such as Dracovish, can be helpful.

Change slot 4 slashes to Skill Swap / U-turn / Quiver Dance, Skill Swap lets you set versus Hat/Xatu which is more useful than just pivoting out

Moonblast is Ribombee's strongest Fairy-type STAB move, hitting Mandibuzz as well as prominent offensive threats like Dragapult and Hawlucha hard.

Remove the fluff and add Hydreigon -> "Moonblast is run to hit Mandibuzz hard as well as to OHKO prominent offensive threats like Dragapult, Hydreigon, and Hawlucha."

Remove Trick from the preview, I've tried it a couple times and it's just not great unless you're runnning Scarf Ribombee which is definitely not analysis worthy (but it is a fun set)

Maximum Speed investment with a Timid nature allows Ribombee to outspeed as many Pokemon as possible, including Dugtrio, Cinderace and unboosted Hawlucha, while maximum Special Attack investment makes it as threatening as possible
