Behold...the new master of competitive Pokemon...
So here I am...in a sea of new Pokemon and no clue what's going on. I immediately see two Pokemon that I instantly fall in love with...

Conkeldurr and Reuniclus. I knew I wanted to make a team around them. Here is what I came up with:

Ferrothorn (Nattorei) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock
- Protect
I generally lead with Ferrothorn here, but with the new feature that allows you to see your opponent's team, I sometimes switch around. Ferrothorn is an excellent lead in this metagame, as he can stop the extremely common Tyranitar lead without much effort. Power Whip and Gyro Ball provide surprisingly decent STAB coverage, and both can hit quite hard. Gyro Ball pounds anything with decent speed, especially all these Scarf Latios and whatnot running around. Against most leads I can put up Stealth Rock and put a dent in their HP. I'm running Protect over Leech Seed or Spikes because everybody expects Leech Seed from this thing now, and I prefer the easy leftovers recovery and scouting Protect gives me. The EVs are pretty much standard, I believe. It allows this thing to eat up Outrages and Draco Meteors like it's nobody's business.
Magnezone @ Leftovers
Trait: Magnet Pull
EVs: 40 HP / 252 SAtk / 216 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Flash Cannon
I can't begin to tell you how many enemy Ferrothorns I have trapped and slaughtered with this thing. Even with the ability to see your team before hand, nobody seems to catch on. Scizors are still extremely common in this metagame, and Magnezone is as good of a counter as ever. Enemy Ferrothorns don't have anything that can break my sub, so I throw one up and slaughter it with Hidden Power Fire, and I still have my sub up to destroy whatever comes in next. Flash Cannon and Thunderbolt are good STABs that can beat up Tyranitar and Jellicent, respectively. This guy has great synergy with Latios, resisting most of each other's weakness, and Latios seems to attract steel types all the time which makes for an effective killing combo. The only steel type that troubles those two is Heatran, which is why I have...
Vaporeon (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Boil Over
- Roar
Heatran and Jellicent are practically everywhere lately, so having a bulky water on your team is almost essential. I could just run my own Jellicent, but doing that would leave my team even more weak to Gengar, who can slaughter a lot of my team without breaking a sweat. Vaporeon isn't exactly a counter to Gengar, but she does better than Jellicent would. Vaporeon can also pass MASSIVE wishes to my teammates, mostly Latios. A Wish from this Vaporeon gives nearly full health to Latios, which is extremely useful. Boil Over is one of the most popular moves of the generation. It seems like a burn occurs on my opponents more often than not, which is extremely awesome. Roar makes Vaporeon an effective Phazer which gives me a chance against a Butterfly Dancing Volcarona or a Shell Breaking Cloyster.

Conkeldurr (Roobushin) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Guts
EVs: 68 HP / 192 Atk / 248 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Payback
This thing is absurd. With a monstrous attack stat, immense bulk, and the move Bulk Up, you basically have a sweep every time. This thing functions as one of my two sweepers and as a counter to some of the biggest sweepers of the generation, including but not limited to Excadrill and Terakion. Mach Punch from this guy slays both of them, and can also help along with a sweep. The EVs are standard, which gives Conkeldurr lots of bulk on the special defensive side, and after a couple Bulk Ups, not much can kill this thing besides Psychic moves or a couple Draco Meteors. Payback and this guy's extreme lack of speed allows me to pound ghosts with a powerful move and helps round off Conkeldurr's great coverage.
Latios (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Trick
This is going to be banned in about a month I'm guessing, so I guess I should abuse it while I can! Specs Draco Meteors from this thing do a disgusting amount of damage to basically everything, even steel types. Even Heatrans take like 40% from it, which is insane. Whenever Ferrothorns switch into me thinking I'll get walled and they can get hazards up, they get to meet my friend Magnezone, which is an excellent combo. Surf and Thunderbolt are my moves of choice here. Both do significant damage to Pokemon that are commonly on weather teams. Trick lets me cripple defensive Pokemon, like those jerkish Evolution Stone Chanseys I've been seeing lately.

Reuniclus (Rankurusu) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Psycho Shock
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
I'm not joking when I say this is one of the most insanely powerful sets I've ever used. This thing does NOT die. After one or two calm minds, it's almost a sure gg. Even Chansey/Blissey can't win because of Psycho Shock. In fact, I welcome Chanseys or Blisseys to come in on this guy, because they're the easiest set-up bait! This thing has 424 HP and solid defenses and Magic Guard which means I'm getting my lefties recovery no matter what you try to do. The lack of speed hardly even matters because nothing can hurt me. I opted for HP Fighting over Focus Blast because Reuniclus doesn't need the massive power and doesn't need to risk missing. HP Fighting does plenty of damage against the things I need to hit. Psycho Shock and HP Fighting also get excellent coverage that is only resisted by enemy Psychic types. I can beat enemy psychics anyway though, since there's no way they can do anything to me! The only way to defeat Reuniclus is to hit it with strong STAB dark or bug moves or to pound on it with Draco Meteors before I get calm minds. I never have to worry about that though, because Reuniclus is always the last Pokemon I bring out.
